Food was good, could have been a little more salad.

We didn't make a reservation beforehand, but were able to get a nice seat outside. When I asked whether one could get Metaxa sauce instead of tzatziki for a dish, the waiter was a bit annoyed and said that wasn't possible. We could swap a side dish, that wouldn't be a problem, but if it came to sauces the chef would complain. We've never experienced that anywhere before and found it a bit strange. The food itself was really great and we really enjoyed it. The portion size was okay. The meat was sufficient, but we would have liked the side dish to be a little more, but everyone has to decide for themselves.

When a stranger comes to us, he is seen as a troublemaker, Served as a complete honk and said goodbye very quickly.

You can sit outside well, the staff is nice and attentive. I had Meteora plates (gyros, suzuki and souvlaki with fries, tzatziki and salad) and first of all tzatziki. Was delicious.

Other guests are insulted by the staff, impossible!!! Don't come back!

Unfortunately you won't get enough here. If you ask the staff in a friendly manner, you will only get a mushy answer and as a guest you will be called an idiot. ... I've never had to experience something like that in a restaurant. For me the worst Greek restaurant I have ever visited.

We were very disappointed, although the food was good, we were not impressed by the service. We were four adults and four children and a baby. For every drink we asked who would get it (3 Sprite, 1 Spezi, 1 Cola, 2 Hefew., an alkfr. hefeweizen), as was the case with the food... we had to interrupt our conversations every time to give the waiter the attention he needed . I breastfed my baby and was given a schnapps...🤷‍♀️🙈 Attention works differently. Our 10 year old asked for one Asked for a knife for his pasta, this was commented on condescendingly and a knife was reluctantly brought with a roll of the eyes. The dishes were tasty, but also small, which was rather surprising for a Greek and the price structure (bifteki with rice for €20.70). Our 10-year-old then ordered a children's plate of bifteki to go with his pasta. The plates were then cleared so that we had some, loudly and everything was stacked on top of each other on our table. People smoked at the front door (we sat outside) and then the food and drinks were served. All in all, the food tasted good, but the service was rather poor and lackluster.

Unfortunately we had very bad experiences with this restaurant. After my friend politely criticized that the portion was small, the waiter became unfriendly and extremely abusive and called him an idiot. My friend stayed calm, but the waiter yelled at him and flipped him the bird. And the waiter said that the "eating" had nothing to do with the lunch menu and that it was his own fault that he didn't order anything from the normal menu. The waiter also expected a tip from us. Unfortunately, most of the meat was burnt and you could count the number of fries on your fingers. We are really extremely disappointed and wonder where the good reviews come from. This restaurant is absolutely not recommended!

Overall disappointing although the food was very good. We had reserved a table. We were automatically assigned a table outside. When we politely asked the waiters if we could go inside because the children were cold, they were totally annoyed and stressed. In the end we ate quickly and left quickly. Too bad!

The Greek restaurant, located directly at the harbor in Neustadt, invites you to linger with its large selection of food and drinks. When you look at the menu, you notice that the prices are around 5 euros more expensive than the numerous other Greek restaurants in town. Curious about what the price difference was, we ordered. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the salad. An olive, two slices of cucumber, a quarter of a tomato on a bed of green lettuce, refined with balsamic dressing. It was tasty, but I missed a homemade coleslaw. The plate that was served afterwards didn't stand out either. Fries, meat, tzatziki! That's it! Where is the Greek tomato rice? No decoration. The meat was well seasoned and very tender. Delicious! The fries were too salty for us. The tzatziki forced me to visit the refrigerator at night to quench my thirst with chilled mineral water. Conclusion: It tasted good, but unfortunately I missed some important components of a Greek dish. It will probably be a one-off visit. I wish the Ambrosia team continued success.

We often eat at Ambrosia, it's always delicious and the whole team is always in a good mood. Everything is fresh and the salad is great. We can recommend it.

**Review:** We were greeted very nicely and immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere right in the city harbor is simply great and the charming building contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. The selection of different dishes is impressive, and individual wishes for the dishes are happy to be catered for. An all-round successful visit – we will definitely be back!

Absolutely bad! There were 6 of us in the restaurant and we had reserved a table in advance. It was way too narrow. When we requested another table or an addition of 1 small table, our request was granted (the waiter was visibly annoyed and overwhelmed). Service so everything else but not good! So much for that… Now about the food: two people ordered an appetizer that was just as bad as the service. It was, or rather should have been, grape leaves with lemon sauce - the rice was mushy and soggy and the sauce looked like goo from the day before. I tried it and kindly brought it inside to the waiter and pointed out that unfortunately the food didn't taste good, I would like to return it and that the two dishes should please be taken off the bill. He then brought the food over and then came back to the table. I explained the situation to him in a matter-of-fact and friendly manner. We were then thrown out of the store in a very unfriendly manner (drinks and cutlery were simply taken away) in front of the entire team. Conclusion: critical ability? Equals zero! Friendliness? Unavailable! Recommended? Absolutely not!

Unfortunately very disappointing. There were three of us there and we were really looking forward to visiting the Greek restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed here. The waiter was very unfriendly right from the start and was reluctant to accommodate our requests (we wanted rice instead of fries and the salad without dressing). He rolled his eyes at the comments and mumbled something in a sullen manner. Well, we could see past that. When my friend's starter came, we were shocked. She had ordered feta cheese with a sauce. The feta cheese was 100% a finished product and unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. Simply fried briefly and sent out to the guest. The sauce had little to do with sauce, unfortunately it was just a slimy mass. Unfortunately, a very sad visit and cannot be recommended. We won't eat here again.

I'm speechless. We spent the weekend in Grömitz with 5 friends and went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. I'm a competitive bodybuilder and currently in preparation (diet) and I knew that I would 100% find something for me here on the menu. It should be a salad with chicken and no sauces/bells and whistles. The waiter was totally unfriendly from the start. When we got our drinks everything was still good. Then I made some extra requests for my salad because I'm on a diet. The waiter didn't like it at all and he made it clear to me with his mood. The other 4 people ordered normal main courses. Then came the girls' appetizers, which were just disgusting. The two of them said this in a friendly manner and wanted to give it back, but the waiter didn't accept that and told us the following: “You know what? Please just leave now" I have never experienced anything like it. We were super friendly and really looked forward to the food. The waiter (we think it was the owner) can't handle criticism. Bottomless impudence. Bad mood staff/service. We went to an alternative in the city center (also Greek: “Eleon”) and of course it was much emptier because of the location, but the staff was super friendly and the food was TOP!

Highly recommended location! Fast and friendly service combined with really great food. I can especially recommend the lamb shank with potatoes, which is cooked in foil in the oven and is beautifully seasoned with oil and thyme. You can sit comfortably outside at the harbor and have a great atmosphere...😊👍

We are vegetarians and have just been to Crete! By far one of the best GREEKS we know with a large and delicious selection of vegetarian starters and main courses! Great service and very nice boss!

We drove by spontaneously without a reservation. After we asked whether a table was available, the waiter looked us up and down and said that a table would still be available until 6:30 p.m. We should have eaten within 50 minutes. Thank you, but friendliness is something else... luckily we found another Greek restaurant that is very good, we would like to go there again.

Beautiful old building, cars are parked between the harbor and the terrace, a shame for the location. Demarcation generously planted with rain barrels as flower pots. Unfortunately there is no oil or P/S on the table

Small portions (even for pensioners), cheapest bread and not even enough of it, good location, good meat, but not particularly filling. Improvement is definitely desirable, but it can still come. Unfortunately, we as officially recognized Greek testers are a bit disappointed.

Very good food in a rustic atmosphere right on the harbor in an old half-timbered house and with a large outdoor seating area. The friendly staff take your order promptly and the drinks and food are served quickly.

Eine Super Küche mit verschiedenen Traditonellen Gerichten! Frisch,schnell und lecker außerdem super ambiente und service. Hier fühlt man sich wohl! Kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Mit dem Deutschland Ticket ein Geiles Erlebniss für ein Wochenende am anderen Ende Deutschlands. Grüße aus dem Ostalbkreis in BaWü. Ich werde wiederkommen!

Absolutely recommended. Very friendly staff and delicious food. As already mentioned several times, gyros are very good. Portions are not huge, but enough to fill you up. But taste is also more important to us. Ouzo first and a little sweet conclusion on the house. We will definitely come back there. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Wenn wir in Neustadt sind gehen wir häufig ins Ambrosia. Das Essen ist lecker und im Vergleich mit anderen Griechen hervorragend, der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Lage direkt am Hafen einmalig. Gestern waren wir wieder dort und mussten feststellen das die Preise zwischenzeitlich doch ganz ordentlich angehoben wurden. Vor einem Monat (im März 2024) haben wir für eine warme Vorspeisenplatte noch 16,90 € bezahlt. Gestern waren es schon 24,90. Eine Preissteigerung um 47%!!! Die Lebenshaltungskosten steigen ja überall. Daher akzeptieren wir auch eine Erhöhung der Restaurantpreise. Nach unserem Verständnis ist man hier doch etwas übers Ziel hinaus geschossen. Beim nächsten Neustadt-Besuch werden wir uns wohl ein anderes Restaurant aussuchen.

We were there with a group of 26 people. Everything was perfect. From the service, the drinks to the food. Gladly again. Nice Greek live music. Unfortunately a bit too loud at times, so only 4 stars for the ambience.

I found it very tasty, a lot too. A little less wouldn't be bad. One star minus for the service because I missed being asked for another drink. But the service was otherwise ok and friendly. The location with a view of the harbor is absolutely outstanding.

Very nice, cozy restaurant. A table reservation is definitely advisable on the weekend, the restaurant was already full shortly before 7 p.m. and we were lucky to get a small table. I ate gyros with lamb. The lamb was extremely tasty, thank you for that. The fries were delicious potato dippers and the tzatziki was also tasty and sufficient. First there was a nice, small mixed salad. The restaurant is on two levels. The toilets are on the first floor, so unfortunately they are not barrier-free. We would come back. Thanks for the Greek hospitality.

Der je 1 ☆ Abzug ist glaube ich einfach nur dem sehr vollen Haus zu verdanken! Es war halt sehr stressig, Teller von Pers. 1 wurden schon abgeräumt während 2 noch am Essen war. Nachbellung war schwierig. Aber alles in allem der Situation entsprechend völlig OK! Das Essen sowie Getränke kamen zügig, heiß & war vor allem nicht überwürzt was ich MEGA schätze, es schmeckte nach dem was es sein sollte, der Tzaziki war richtig Mega! Alles in allem ein Tolles Erlebnis!

Haben Sie schon einmal über die Kosten von Ouzo in einem griechischen Restaurant nachgedacht? Leider war das Personal nicht unbedingt freundlich ,das Essen war zu trocken und wenn noch etwas auf dem Teller ist wird einfach abgeräumt .

Lage am Neustädter Hafen Top. Aber die Qualität des Essen ist ausbaufähig und zu teuer. Da gibt es Besseres in Neustadt. Zum Beispiel am Markt.

Waren heute zun Abendessen dort und waren sehr zu Frieden. Essen war sehr gut 👍 die Preise sind moderat und nicht zu teuer. Die Wein Karte ist großzügig und auch da sind die Preise in Ordnung. Vor und nach dem Essen gab es Schnaps 4 free , alles in allem 9,4/10

Nicht schlecht. Aber Preis Leistung ist grenzwertig. Vielleicht ist man aber auch von den lokalen in der Heimat verwöhnt. Dort gibt es für den Preis mehr und auch hochwertiger.

In Kurzform kann man hier eigentlich nur von "Herzlich Willkommen" sprechen... von Freunden zum Essen eingeladen kam mein Besuch einem von mir mit einem Freund geplanten Besuch voraus. Wunderbar zentral und gut erreichbar mitten in Neustadt (Holstein) am Wasser gelegen präsentiert sich der schmucke Altbau schon wunderbar einladend. Wenn man das Glück hat, sollte man schauen, das man oben in der 1. Etage direkt am Panorama-Fenster einen Platz bekommt. Aber keine Sorge, das Gesamtambiente ist in sehr angenehmen warmen Farbtönen und sehr gemütlich gehalten. Es stellt sich wirklich sofort ein Zuhause-Gefühl ein. Es begann mit einer Vorspeisenplatte, auf der von in verschiedenen Sorten Feta-Käsecreme bis hin zu Tintenfisch etc. mit knusprigem Baguette. Alles zusammen, es war sehr sehr stimmig und derartig vielfältig, da war wirklich für jeden etwas dabei. Das war schon einmal ein guter Einstieg. Der Hauptgang ebenfalls richtig gut und vielfältig... in unserem Fall eine nenne ich es mal Fleischplatte, auf der wirklich für jeden etwas klassischerseits dabei war. Gyros, Schwein, Rind, Huhn oder Pute, Leber... geschmacklich wirklich gut (ich selbst favorisiere den Klassiker Gyros), dazu wunderbare kleine Ofenkartoffeln... also das war wirklich sehr gelungen. Auch der Nachtisch konnte sich mit dem klassischen griechischem Joghurt mit Honig wohlwollend anschliessen. Man kann hier also wirklich festhalten, das war nicht der letzte Besuch und mit einem Freund werde ich allein schon wegen der guten Location und weil familiengeführt zurückkehren. Ich glaube, da gibt es noch viel Schönes zu entdecken.

Das Essen war super lecker und der Service sehr familiär. Man zahlt zwar 2 bis 3 Euro mehr als in anderen Restauants aber es lohnt sich definitiv!

Wir waren heute seit langem Mal wieder dort . Ambiente sehr schön.das Personal sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend. Am Essen gab es nichts zu bemängeln. Die Preise im Rahmen des üblichen . Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben gleich zu Anfang gefragt ob EC Katte möglich ist und er verneinte es, weil das Internet nicht geht. 5 Minuten später haben drei seiner Tische mit Karte bezahlt!! Mein Mann ist extra im strömenden Regen zur Bank gelaufen! Unverschämt und griechisch war das Ambiente auch nicht
