Sehr einladendes und freundliches Restaurant, Essen ist einfach top, sher schmackhaftes Gyros, tolles Tzatziki. Auch das Suvlaki und die gefüllten Gemüse so d einfach spitze. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ehrlich gesagt...best greek ever :) service authentisch,gyros mhhhh....einfach mal schauen wie der aussieht und vergleichen zu nem griechischen imbiss und vielen anderen gr. Restaurants...lage eh top. Hatten haupt und vorspeisen und n paar bierchen umd ziemlich guten kaffee.

Wir wollten eigentlich gerne dort essen. Tolle Bewertungen und die Lage ist auch super. Haben aber als wir auf einen Tisch gewartet haben in die Karte geschaut und waren doch etwas verwundert über die ziemlich hohen Preise. Sind dann wieder gegangen.

Ein sehr angenehmes Restaurant in wunderschöner Lage direkt am Hafen mit stimmungsvollem Ambiente. Die griechische Küche ist köstlich, das Fleisch zart und gut zubereitet, und der Gyros herrlich knusprig. Zudem: überaus freundlicher Service und faire Preise. Absolut empfehlenswert! Einziger Nachteil: Es werden nur deutsche Karten akzeptiert, also Bargeld mitbringen! Bei Bedarf kann man im Dorfmarkt Bargeld abheben.

Das Ambrosia in Neustadt ist ein absolutes Highlight für alle, die griechische Küche lieben. Das Essen ist fantastisch, die Portionen sind ordentlich und alles schmeckt super frisch. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herzliche Gastfreundschaft – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Ein tolles Ambiente für einen gemütlichen Abend, wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Dieses Restaurant war einmal in Neustadt unsere erste Wahl, wenn es um griechisches Essen ging. Immer gut besucht, ein fröhlicher und freundlicher Wirt und natürlich leckeres Essen. Ausserdem Griechen-typisch preiswert. Neuerdings haben die Preise ziemlich angezogen und eigentlich wurden wir von den Mitarbeitern nur noch „abgefertigt“. Das finden wir schade, und werden zukünftig, wenn es um griechisches Essen geht, nach Alternativen schauen, da aus unsere Sicht hier Preis/Leistung so nicht mehr stimmt. Tipp: Wenn die Preise anziehen müssen, könntet ihr das vielleicht mit mehr Freundlichkeit und einem Extra-Ouzo zum Nachtisch kompensieren… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Leider war es gegen 18.00 sehr laut und unruhig. Das Essen war okay und das Personal sehr aufmerksam.

Haben auf einem Samstag Abend dort zu viert gegessen. Hatte den Tisch aber schon vor Wochen reserviert. Geparkt hatten wir direkt vor der Tür auf einem großen Parkplatz ( ab 18:00 Uhr frei ) Das Essen war super schnell serviert, schön heiß und hatte einen tollen Geschmack - kommen gerne wieder 👍😊

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant. Parken ziemlich schwierig und teuer. Essen ist ganz okay Portionen nicht sehr groß und leider keine Soßen dazu. Z.b metaxa Soße. Zu allen Gerichten leider nur Pommes.

Six of us went there for dinner today. We reserved a table in advance by phone. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and personally shown to our tables. This was very accommodating and we particularly enjoyed it. The entire service team made a great effort and were very friendly throughout the evening. The food served was delicious. We each enjoyed a starter, the house salad, a main course, and dessert. Everything tasted excellent and couldn't have been better. We would give the restaurant a star immediately if we could. Everything was beautifully presented and fabulously seasoned. At the end of the meal, the entire team bid us a warm farewell. We are absolutely delighted and will gladly come back. Highly recommended.

I was there for the first time today and I can't stop raving about it. A very cozy atmosphere with a view of the harbor, and a wonderfully well-coordinated team of staff who are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is simply delicious, to put it simply: generous portions and a wonderful taste experience, the likes of which I've never personally experienced at a Greek restaurant before. I'd love to be a guest here more often in the future.

I don't need to say much; the stars speak for themselves. I've been here twice. Excellent food, great staff, and a cozy atmosphere. I'd happily return. My highlight of the day.

The prices and portions were reasonable, and the food was solid. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired: After being served, we were completely ignored, sat for over an hour without drinks, and waving at us only yielded a nod. In the end, we had to pay ourselves at the restaurant.

The reception was quite nice. I would describe the food as average. The appetizer was quite good. It's worth eating once, but it's not exactly a standout. The gyro with Metaxa sauce and baked cheese was okay, but very bland and nothing special. The service was nice, but three people came by and each wanted to take their order (the first one had already given it). The music was quite loud. The fruit flies were the most annoying, though.

This restaurant is highly recommended, as the atmosphere is extremely inviting. The service is friendly and very quick, which makes the visit even more pleasant. The food was delicious and plentiful, so you leave the place more than satisfied. The prices are also reasonable, which rounds out the overall package. I would gladly return anytime and can only warmly recommend it.

A nice restaurant in itself, with good food (if you can even judge that after one visit), in a pleasant setting. The portions are manageable, however. One particularly negative aspect was the unfriendly waiter. Unfortunately, this has nothing in common with Greek hospitality.

We received a cold welcome upon entering; the lady at the door seemed annoyed from the start. The waiter, a man with glasses and slicked-back hair, was equally unfriendly. A small special request was immediately met with disparaging remarks – that's unacceptable. The food was okay, but far too little and overpriced. The worst part was the service: an endless wait, rude replies, and behavior when paying that can only be described as disrespectful. As we left, the lady followed up with a remark in Greek – certainly not meant in a friendly way. I felt inferior! In short: rude, expensive, and not a place I would ever go back to.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a thoroughly disappointing experience. While the welcome was okay, the waiter seemed annoyed and unfriendly as soon as we handed over the menu – a tone you don't expect as a guest in a restaurant. When ordering, the same waiter reacted with skepticism to a simple special request (a dish without side dishes, as they are intolerant). Being looked at strangely for such a thing is simply unprofessional for a restaurant in this price range. The food tasted acceptable, but the portions were tiny. The price is by no means justified – the price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. Even worse, however, was the service. We had to wait over half an hour for the bill without being able to reach the waiter. When he finally appeared, he responded with an annoyed "I'll be right there." When we paid, he silently placed an iPad on the table, stared at us, and then slammed his hand on the table to force us to respond. This behavior is disrespectful and absolutely unacceptable. The sad conclusion was the farewell: As we left the restaurant, we were shouted comments in Greek that, in tone and expression, were anything but friendly. Conclusion: The taste was okay, but far too expensive for the portions. The service, however, was consistently rude, annoyed, and disrespectful. For us, it was an extremely unpleasant visit – a restaurant we cannot recommend to anyone.

The food was good. The portions were a bit too small for the price. There doesn't necessarily need to be more meat, but fries, rice, salad, and tzatziki should fill the plate and not cost a fortune. A mini portion of tzatziki costs €6.90 – a bit cheeky for quark, considering the portion (see photo).

There seem to be two classes of guests there...familiar faces were conjured up cushions for the hard, uncomfortable chairs. Where do we begin: No "Good evening"...but "Do you have a reservation?" Loveless, empty tables...no flowers...no salt/pepper. No ashtray. The waitress was so stressed that she just slammed your drink down on the table. The garlic bread as an appetizer was so crunchy you could have bashed a hole in someone's head with it. Hauptmann (Captain) Fried fries without salt. Gyros were absolutely greasy and marbled...no seasoning. Tzatziki was bland. Chicken breast and pork fillet were still raw. Gyros in tomato garlic sauce, a mini portion...no tomatoes in sight. The service was very poor...no one asked if everything was okay...if we wanted another drink...nothing. Apparently the owner is incapable of taking criticism...because he got grumpy when I complained about the food...sorry, we'll give you six. We definitely won't recommend you and will go to the restaurant across the street...

Very friendly and competent service, requests are addressed immediately and every effort is made to accommodate them. The best gyros, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is inviting, with a nice, tidy outdoor area and a pleasant interior spread over two floors.

The restaurant is very nice and easily accessible, located directly at Neustädter Hafen. From the restaurant you have a very nice view - over the parking lot - of the ships in the harbor and the "KLÜVERS" brewery opposite. The cuisine at AMBROSIA is often referred to by locals as “GREEK HAUTE CUISINE”. The food is extremely tasty, beautifully prepared - as we all know, the eye eats with it - and is served in very small gourmet portions in the high-price segment. The ambience is not very Greek and with the cobblestones in front of the old half-timbered house, it is not very handicapped friendly, but it is VERY COZY! The atmosphere in the guest room (over two levels) is also nice and very clean! The sweeping even takes place while the guests are still eating. For lovers of "GREEK HAUTE CUISINE" Ambrosia is the right place and if you only express benevolence and praise to the innkeeper, you are always a welcome guest. BON APPETIT!!!

Food expensive and little but the taste was okay, although quite salty. Afterwards we went for a bratwurst to fill us up. The service was miserable. Of the 4 dishes ordered, 3 were delivered differently than they were ordered. Then we should even pay the higher price for the food we didn't order. We could have let them go back (and then gotten nothing because the kitchen had already gone into service on time). Never again!

A beautiful place to stay, the old warehouse is great, the staff are absolutely friendly and they anticipate almost all your wishes. The food is absolutely top notch. I've traveled a lot around the world and have to say that it doesn't taste as good elsewhere. If I come back, Ambrosia will be my first stop. I can't understand bad reviews - perhaps these people were somewhere else?

Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis – absolut empfehlenswert! Ich war total begeistert von diesem Restaurant! Die Lage direkt am Meer ist einfach traumhaft – man sitzt mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf das Wasser. Das allein wäre schon Grund genug für einen Besuch! Aber auch das Essen war absolut fantastisch. Jeder Gang war mit Liebe zubereitet, frisch, kreativ und voller Geschmack. Was den Abend aber wirklich besonders gemacht hat, war das Personal: super freundlich, herzlich und mit einer Prise Humor. Man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt und viel gelacht. Man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Wir sind im Frühjahr schonmal hier gewesen -ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die gutes Essen, eine tolle Atmosphäre und herzliche Gastfreundschaft schätzen!

My business partner and I were at Ambrosia on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. The staff and especially the owner were very polite and accommodating. The service was excellent and quick. We had two starters and a shared grill platter of beef liver, gyros, suflaki and bifteki. Plus fries and tzatziki. Everything was perfect, prepared first-class and very tasteful. The ambience is appealing and we will eat here more often in the future. Prices are appropriate for the service.

The best Greek in Neustadt. Update has been great for years now. The food was delicious, the boss Sakis and his team were very hospitable and attentive. We always enjoy being here, keep it up.

Very friendly, the two of us got a place on Friday evening without a reservation. Unfortunately only in the lower part, but that was completely okay without a reservation. We were there in the evening with two people without a reservation. The reception was very friendly and we were immediately given a nice table. Ambience is very bright and not as cluttered as other Greeks. Unfortunately the music was extremely loud and annoying (a wildly screaming singer sang folkloric songs). Our order was taken quickly and the food came extremely quickly (always gives me something to think about, especially since the restaurant was busy). The taste of the food was ok, but it didn't really blow me away. There were canned carrots in the buttered rice, all types of meat had the same seasoning and some of the side dishes were raw. Unfortunately the entire service stopped after that. We were neither asked whether everything was OK nor whether we had any further wishes. Nobody came to ask for more drinks or to take any dessert orders. Unfortunately, the service person who cleared our table didn't understand us; we asked her to send someone to us to take further orders. After we waited in vain and no one came to us, we gave up. The payment process was very time-consuming and it took some time before the waitress finally noticed us despite waving and calling. All in all, I don't need this again!
