A truly sensationally good restaurant!!! I highly recommend the Lübecker Hanse to anyone who appreciates incredibly good cuisine with a rustic, cozy ambiance and competent, friendly service! We were there for a special event, so I can't comment on the schedule and atmosphere during normal/everyday operations. However, we received an extremely friendly welcome, and the visit was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing – the cooking here is done with passion and skill. The taste was sensational, and the combination of dishes was very carefully chosen. I've rarely eaten such good food. The special from the kitchen (mini tarte flambée) was incredibly good – forget everything you've previously considered a tarte flambée! Even Alsace would be jealous... The appetizer was in no way inferior to the special from the kitchen and was wonderfully rounded off by both the main course and dessert. It's a shame I couldn't eat more. It was fantastic! The only downside was that the food took a long time to arrive, but that was due to the reduced staffing and was also announced in advance. So, all good. Please go there, take your time for good food in great company. Your taste buds will thank you!!!

We received a very warm welcome and were able to snag a table. This place is definitely for people who love Lübeck history and good food. The decor is authentic Lübeck Hanseatic, and it's worth asking the landlady about the history of the house and the furnishings. The food was divine and, all in all, very exclusive and highly recommended. Thank you so much for this wonderful evening. We'll be back!

It was truly delicious. The service was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the ambiance. The prices are a bit higher, but the food is delicious. We saw one of the chefs, a trainee, and it was lovely to see how enthusiastically he served his specially created dessert to other guests. If you're in Lübeck and want to enjoy a lovely ambiance with a delicious dinner, Lübecker Hanse is definitely the place to be.

My wife and I visited Lübecker Hanse Restaurant 26/5 with two friends. A pleasant experience, exciting and delicious food, attentive and competent service, interesting decor, and a very good mood and friendly atmosphere.

Dopo oltre 15 minuti che eravamo seduti non avevamo ancora in mano il menu. Ho cercato di attirare la sua attenzione con scarso successo, fino a quando – e faccio notare che non avevo nemmeno aperto bocca – lei mi ha aggredito in malo modo dicendo che mi aveva visto, che era da sola. Come suggerimento per lei: basta dare ai clienti il menu quando li accompagna al tavolo! Non abbiamo avuto la prontezza di andarcene in quel momento e quindi abbiamo mangiato lì. Menu piuttosto povero con poca scelta, piatti banali, troppo salati … insomma niente di notevole. Anche il prezzo è alto. Decisamente sopravvalutato e poco consigliabile. I had the pleasure of dining at the Lübeck Hanse and was completely thrilled! The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with Hanseatic charm, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. For my main course I chose the Grain Fed Beef 9-Ball Pepper Steak, and it was an absolute delight. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and deliciously juicy. The pepper sauce was wonderfully balanced - spicy, but not too dominant, so that the pure taste of the high-quality meat came through perfectly. The side dishes were also excellently coordinated and rounded off the dish perfectly. Overall, a fantastic dining experience! This will happen even more often as we have discovered Lübeck as a perfect stopover on our way from our new home Norway to our old home Brandenburg (or vice versa). The city of Lübeck is really worth a visit in itself, but for us food enthusiasts, the Lübeck Hanseatic League deserves a special mention and is of course worth the visit. The quality of the individual dishes that chef Matthias and his team conjure up on our plates and the exceptionally good service will bring us back here again and again. Vi var en gruppe på 10. Vi ventede mere end en time på vores mad. Restaurationschefen gjorde et hektisk og meget lidt vellykket forsøg på at (bort)forklare forsinkelsen. Vores gruppe var ét stort spørgsmålstegn, og da en af os opsøgte hende for at finde en løsning ( skulle vi gå eller var maden lige på trapperne), så flippede hun fuldstændig ud. Det var stærkt ubehageligt for alle, men da maden netop viste sig at være klar, blev vi. Maden var fin, det samme var tjeneren.

A bit by chance we ended up in this extraordinary place, but were so impressed by the quality of the food on the first night that we only had to eat one more time the next day. When you enter, you are recognized by both the waiter and the head chef who is also the owner, so this was one of the truly outstanding dining experiences we have had recently. Really good food, exciting conversations with both owner and waiter rounded off our experience with us all deciding to meet again, either in Lübeck or at our home in Norway. Highly recommended, no one will regret setting foot in this wonderfully authentic place :)

Mycket mysigt ställe med genuin Tysk mat. Det är större ställe än vad man kan tro då det är många olika rum i varierande storlekar. Möjligen var personalen en aning stressad när det är fullt. Är du där en helg när det är julmarknad så se till att boka bord i god tid innan.

Wir hatten gestern einen tollen Abend in der Lübecker Hanse. Sehr herzlicher Empfang, super nette Bewirtung ein kulinarisch leckeres, toll zubereitetes Essen. Dabei tolle Weine. Alles, was Herz und Magen begehren. 100%ige Empfehlung! Am besten reservieren.

The Lübecker Hanse restaurant impressed us with its rustic old town charm and fantastic food. It is located in the heart of Lübeck, hidden in a small alley. The staff is very friendly and fun for everyone, which is a reason for us to enjoy the delicious food and beautiful ambience there often.

Herzliche Empfangen; aufmerksame und kompetente (wissen über die speise und die Zubereitung ) Bedienung. Natürlich auch die Qualität und Geschmack der Speisen super auch auf Präsentation legt man große Wert. Wir haben uns dort sehr gut gefühlt und sehr lecker gegessen. Wir werden jeden herzlich empfehlen , vielen Dank an gesamte Team.

Did someone assign you the table? It's almost 9 p.m. and there's nothing left to eat. The staff who would have seated us were nowhere to be seen and there was a table available. That was the welcome in the restaurant, just like 40 years ago in the Deep East. Of course you didn't want a drink anymore, there are also friendly restaurants in Lübeck!

Charming and cozy restaurant with very good food and nice service. A place to return to.

Three of us were there yesterday. Starters: we accepted the offer to be surprised. Very good choice. Let yourself be surprised! For the main course, all three of us chose the 9 pepper steak. A poem. Everything was lovingly and creatively prepared. The service was very attentive and informative. I hope I'll be forgiven for being shy when paying. You get older. It's a little inconspicuous on a small side street. But very nice inside! Thank you for the great evening.

I would give 7 stars if possible. Food fabulous, service great, ambience fantastic. A bit hidden in Lübeck but if you want really good food and a pleasant atmosphere...this is the place for you! Not for cultural philistines and the like, enjoyment is the order of the day here!

Central location Excellent service

Ein tolles Restaurant, was seines Gleichen sucht, in dieser Stadt. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und zu unserem reservierten Tisch geleitet. Aperitif wurde angeboten und gerne angenommen. Wir bestellten Spargelsuppe, Mosaik vom Lachs, Rumpsteak Tranchen und eine Käsevariation zu Beginn. Die Vorspeisen waren hervorragend, frisch und raffiniert abgeschmeckt. Im Hauptgang hatten wir ein Pfeffersteak, was seinen Namen verdient, ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Spargel, der, wie die Suppe, einen unglaublich intensiven Geschmack hinterließ und ein Lachsfilet mit Rieslingschaum, frischem Gemüse und Pastaperlen, die mir völlig neu daherkamen. Creme Brulee mit echter Vanille und Sorbet von Himbeeren und Basilikum waren ein würdiger Abschluss unseres schönen Abends. Wir wurden kompetent, zuvorkommend und freundlich bedient. Begleitende Weine wurden uns angeboten und die Expertise war großartig. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Abend in einem tollem Ambiente. Danke, wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen euch weiter!

I had the best Labskaus in Lübeck and we had very good service, by far the best in direct comparison to other restaurants. Unfortunately, other restaurants only disappointed us and sometimes made us sad about what they do with food. We would be happy to come back to you, best regards from Braunschweig

NEVER AGAIN!! We reserved this restaurant especially for 2 weeks for our 10th wedding anniversary. You have to specifically ask for confirmation via email, but we get it... We come on vacation, yesterday we drove 1 hour to Lübeck, smartly dressed... We get to the restaurant at 4:55 p.m. A man from staff told us: "We are closed... Technical reasons..." NO SORRY. NO CALL OR EMAIL LETTER that our reservation is not valid. Totally crazy mood. P.S. “Currently we can only accept cash payments Kind regards, your Hanse team" Great restaurant 👍😜

Very tasty, great staff, very pleasant hospitality

Nice restaurant with good food. We sat in a small side room which was unfortunately very cold, so it was a bit uncomfortable. We had already made a reservation a few days before. The waiter was very friendly and the food tasted very good.

In dit erg rustiek en ouderwets ingerichte restaurant worden bijzonder lekkere gerechten geserveerd voor een verantwoorde prijs. Eén opmerking: er wordt te veel zout gebruikt en dat is feitelijk niet nodig. Jammer genoeg zijn wijnen erg duur; er is geen fles onder de 40€. Merk op dat enkel cash-betalingen mogelijk zijn.

Friendly service, well executed food. Close to Cologne's old town. The price level is not the cheapest, but you know you're getting what you order.
