A modest restaurant with a very limited menu and a friendly hostess. Cash only.

What a wonderful place. Not a big place but has a fantastic ambience with friendly attentive service. A small selection of traditional dishes on offer which were absolutely delicious and extremely generous portions. We really felt like we were in a local establishment away from thronging tourist crowds. Really delightful courtyard out the back but also charming inside. What a find. It's a gem.

What a hidden gem! Visited here for the first time whilst travelling through Lübeck, and I must say we really enjoyed, we were given a warm welcome and served promptly. Staff were really friendly and the food was good. Generous portions of traditional dishes. The highlight of the evening was, without question, the Labskaus – a hearty dish that truly embodies the spirit of northern Germany. We will definitely return here when visiting this area again 👍 Don't leave Lübeck without trying their Labskaus.(The photo doesn't do it justice)

Dear people, The two owners are totally service-oriented, always professional, and have their hearts ♥️ in the right place. They primarily offer home-cooked meals, and are happy to offer flexible cooking for special orders. Everything is freshly prepared. They've been operating successfully for 13 years now.. 🤩🙏 A mixed clientele, regulars, day visitors, and tourists, so the evenings always bring a lot of variety and good cheer..🤗 Draft beer, Jever always works.. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat anything because there was a Christmas party going on. Unfortunately, it wasn't posted outside. The menu listed here is no longer available. And after looking at it, there wasn't anything for us either. The selection is very limited. There's no other menu available.

Cool store food was good even if the kale was from a can! Potatoes and cabbage sausage were super tasty.

German dishes from the northern lands. Large portions. Home-cooked, very tasty!!!! In October, Bavarian cuisine is served during Oktoberfest. In the photo: Pork schnitzel with champignons and sauerfleisch (boiled marinated meat). In addition, sauces, a salad of sauerkraut, carrots and Chinese cabbage, fried potatoes with lard, green onions, red onions. Very tasty!!!! A very atmospheric restaurant in an old building.

An authentic place to enjoy excellent German food, delighted by the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Welcoming place. Very nice little patio in the back. The price of the dishes is average. I absolutely recommend it.

A quiet spot in old town Lübeck with excellent food: a small menu of traditional German dishes, all freshly prepared. Sitting in the small, quiet, ivy covered courtyard we relaxed and refreshed after walking all day through old town.

Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food here is still good and fresh. The owners are super friendly. I can happily recommend it.

Anyone who thinks restaurants that offer stuffed calamari with linguine or dishes with white truffles are rare to find. Today he hasn't looked for authentic, regional and fresh cuisine with a fair price-performance ratio. In the Stadtschänke you get exactly that, without a lot of frills and fancy. But with a warm and generous portion of good humor from the service and a lot of taste and passion from the kitchen. We definitely won't be coming here for the last time, we're already thinking about our next visit. Then it should be the supreme discipline of Labskau, but there was some disappointment here. But the kale gives us hope as it has already been excellent!

Nice rustic pub/restaurant in Lübeck's old town. Very cozy. Friendly and very attentive service, very tasty food. We had kale. Really awesome 🥰 👌. We recommend. Everything is freshly prepared. If you don't just come here for a beer, you might want to make a reservation in advance, as the tables are limited.

Lecker gegessen, wie immer. - Denn die Speisen werden immer frisch zubereitet. Das kann mal etwas dauern, aber das Warten lohnt sich. - Immer empfehlenswert ist eine telefonische oder persönliche Reservierung vorab (451-79071463‬). Nicht alle Speisen auf den Fotos sind auf der Speisekarte zu finden, somit nicht immer zu bekommen. Currywurst, Eisbein, Kohlroulade sind „Extra“-Bestellungen bzw. zu bestimmten Anlässen zu haben. - Ja, auch das ist möglich: Für mehrere Personen die Lieblingsspeise oder ‚mal was anderes’ bestellen.

Leider sehr unfreundlich, obwohl man die angekündigte Wartezeit mit Getränken überbrücken wollte war diese Antwort wohl schon nicht gut. Nach dem man dann noch scherzhaft durch das Lokal blickte und auf die 6 anwesenden Gäste verwies das die Wartezeit wohl nicht so schlimm sein wird, wurden wir gebeten das Lokal wieder zu verlassen! Schade wenn so der erste Eindruck von Lübeck entsteht!

Auf der Überführung unseres Bootes,an die Ostsee, haben wir einen Halt in Lübeck gemacht und eine nettes Plätzchen für unser Abendessen gesucht. Gesucht und gefunden.......super gemütlich, sehr nette Bedienung und super lecker Essen. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Weiter so👍🏻

Ein schönes Altstadtrestaurant mit einem kleinen gemütlichen Biergarten, angenehme Athmosphäre, nette Wirtsleute und wohlschmeckende Getränkte.

Leckeres Essen, gemütliche Atmosphäre und freundliche Bedienung.

Allein die Mengstrasse wäre einen Spaziergang wert. Aber ein Besuch in der Stadtschänke, mit diesem herzlichen Service, dem unkompliziert boden-ständigem Speiseangebot, und schön gezapfte Bier in der historischen Gaststube, ist allemal lohnenswert.

Wir haben dort aus einer kleinen, überschaubaren Speisekarte ausgezeichnete regionale Gerichte aus frischen Zutaten gegessen. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr sympathische Gastronomenpaar, das mit viel Liebe zu "ihrer" Stadt gute Lübeck-Tipps gegeben hat. Einen "urigen" Charakter des Lokals, den andere Rezensenten aufführen, können wir nicht bestätigen.
