Great restaurant snack bar. Large portions and fair prices. I can only recommend it. Very quick preparation and friendly owners. Even as a vegetarian, I can't miss my meat kebab at the Porta Kebab. Real recommendation and always great! 🥙🥙🥙🍕🍕🍕
Absolutely above average for a riding club. Extremely friendly service, very nice view of a very active riding arena. Collection is also highly recommended.
The Bürgerladen convinced me across the board. The quality of the food is excellent - not only are the dishes very tasty, but they are also served in generous portions that leave you full and satisfied. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent price-performance ratio, which makes a visit here really worthwhile.
The location of the Bürgerladen is also ideal, easily accessible and centrally located. The modern and clean ambience makes you immediately feel at home here. The service is also top-notch: friendly, attentive and always trying to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. All in all, a clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a pleasant atmosphere!
If you ever wondered what it would feel like to waste your time, your money, and your taste buds in one fell swoop, let me introduce you to Der Daddy—a burger joint with a name so cringe-inducing it makes you regret learning to read. Seriously, Der Daddy? That’s not a restaurant name, it’s a red flag wrapped in faux-edgy branding.
The disaster began with an hour-long wait in line, not due to popularity, but because the operational dysfunction here makes the U.S. Congress look like a Swiss watch. There were multiple open tables just sitting there for over 20 minutes—untouched, unbothered, unseated—while a line of hungry, irritated people piled up like a traffic jam in hell. Oh, and one table sat empty for an hour and a half, reserved for what looked suspiciously like the owner's friends. The nepotism? Gag-worthy. The vibes? Rotten.
Once we were finally seated, the mess only deepened. They managed to screw up my order—bacon, the one ingredient I specifically looked forward to, just forgotten. And the food? Hoo boy. If blandness were a crime, Der Daddy would be doing life without parole. The bun was dry, the burger patty forgettable, and the so-called “ranch” dressing was basically mayo playing dress-up. An embarrassment to both ranch and dressing.
The owner apparently claims inspiration from the U.S.—but clearly never stepped foot inside a half-decent American burger joint. This wasn’t Americana, it was just sad. A glorified fast food truck with delusions of relevance.
Final verdict: Der Daddy is a bad joke with worse food. Zero stars, if the rating system allowed it. Do yourself a favor—stay home and microwave some leftovers. You’ll have a better meal, and a better time.
Ich war vor paar Tage da die Atmosphäre ist super gestern schmeckt sehr lecker. Getränke sind sehr erfrischend die haben Wir saßen draußen in dem Biergarten super angenehm tolles Service weiter so
What a magical find in Trier! During my city trip, curiosity and a Google search led me to this little gem, the "Schlemmereule". The location itself, a little hidden in a charming courtyard away from the busy market square, exuded a special calm and elegance. Since the weather was so inviting, I decided to sit outside and enjoy the pleasant ambience. Unfortunately, I didn't see the interior of the restaurant and can't comment on that.
When I first saw the restaurant, I already suspected that style was important here. But I was pleasantly surprised that it concealed cuisine of such a high standard. As soon as I sat down, I was served attentively and in a very friendly manner. The service was simply excellent – a real treat!
A look at the stylish menu confirmed my impression: cooking here is done with sophistication and creativity. The dishes on offer seemed beyond the ordinary, something special for connoisseurs. As a vegetarian, the selection was manageable with two to three options, but I found it remarkable that such an ambitious restaurant even offers vegetarian dishes. I chose the ravioli in nut butter and sage with a creamy cream cheese and tender egg - a poem!
As a sweet finish, I enjoyed a refreshing strawberry sorbet with vanilla, almonds and pistachios. In terms of taste, I was on a whole new level here. You could literally feel the passion and skill of the chefs. This lunch turned out to be such a pleasant experience that the time flew by. Only when I noticed that the attentive service staff discreetly began clearing the tables did I realize that I had probably lingered longer than usual. A quick check on Google revealed that the restaurant actually takes an afternoon break, which I had missed. However, at no point was I pressured to leave by the extremely courteous staff. On the contrary, I had to actively ask and was almost a little ashamed that I had caused this inconvenience - which was unintentional for me. However, the service staff responded to my situation with an unchanged friendly and professional attitude, for which I of course expressed my gratitude and paid the bill. Despite this little mishap, my impression of the “Schlemmereule” remains entirely positive and I can highly recommend a visit!
