I’m leaving this review not just as an ordinary customer but also from a professional perspective, as I’ve owned a restaurant and have experience opening a burger joint. So, what can I say? I ordered the Mango Chicken Burger and a Watermelon-flavored Lemonade. Let’s start with the burger. Inside were thinly sliced pieces of chicken. It seems like they use the same pre-prepared chicken for all their dishes—wraps, bowls, and burgers. Honestly, that’s a bit odd because a grilled chicken patty would have been a much better fit for a burger. But okay, let’s assume that’s their concept. What’s more concerning is the taste. There was absolutely no mango flavor in this burger. Instead, it was covered in a cheap, unidentifiable sauce that didn’t taste like mango at all. If anything, the only prominent ingredient was a large piece of bell pepper inside. If that’s the case, why not just call it a “Pepper Burger” instead of misleading customers with “Mango”? When you order something called “Mango Chicken,” you expect to actually taste mango, not just a generic sauce. Now, onto the lemonade. The “Watermelon” flavor was completely missing. It was clearly just a cheap syrup mixed with sparkling water. No real ingredients, nothing natural—apart from a sprig of decorative herbs. It wasn’t as disappointing as the mango-less burger, but still not great. When you order a watermelon lemonade, you expect at least a hint of actual watermelon, not just a sugary soda. After my meal, the owner, like with every other guest before me, asked if I liked everything. When I started my honest feedback with “If I’m being honest…” and continued with my thoughts, I quickly realized he wasn’t very interested in hearing it. I received no response or engagement. I wasn’t trying to be rude or offensive—just offering constructive feedback. But all I got in return was a couple of “okay”s, a smile, my bill, and a polite goodbye. That being said, the place itself is cute, clean, and well-maintained, and the service is good. There’s also a nicely designed kids’ play area, which younger children would probably enjoy. But I won’t be coming back—because at the end of the day, we go out to eat good food, not just admire a nice atmosphere and attractive menu names.

Oh well…. So the food was rather bad in my opinion. The burger buns were soggy, the mozzarella sticks and fries were cold and the ingredients (judging by the taste) were inferior. Due to the fast delivery time of under 45 minutes. At first I was in a very positive mood, but unfortunately this anticipation was quickly dashed by both the sight and my “own” taste. Unfortunately I won't be ordering anything else here for the time being.

Foods is good and the ambient is super. There is kids corner as well.

We ended up here by chance. From the outside, the tables and comfortable seating looked very inviting and clean. First we ordered a coffee and were pleasantly surprised. We hadn't had such good coffee for a long time. The crispy chicken burger that followed was also great. Everything was rounded off with friendly service. Really a recommendation and when we are back in Trier we will come back.

Very well received in this small snack bar a stone's throw from the center. Excellent falafel and vegetarian wraps. Lots of vegetarian alternatives. The boss is friendly and helpful, we ate very well.

It was my first time visiting Papa Lu, but I will definitely come back. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was really cozy. The homemade iced teas and lemonades were very fresh, the coffee was great and the burger with fries and homemade dips was a real delight. The prices are very affordable for this great overall package.

Incredibly 40 minutes were given, but we waited 1:30 hours for food, only to then get his order wrong. Very good job 💪

We visited the restaurant at lunchtime on the weekend and had a very good experience overall. The food was fresh and delicious. I find it to be a pleasant alternative to the well-known fast food or the Italian restaurant. The restaurant is particularly ideal for families, as there is a nice children's play area, and the service was child-friendly, which made the visit with my children very pleasant. However, the waiting time was a little longer than expected. I would like to see better communication in this regard in the future. In addition, the room temperature could have been a little warmer to make the stay even more comfortable. The restaurant's decor is tasteful and inviting, and service was friendly and professional despite the wait. All in all, a clear recommendation, especially for families!

We ordered food, unfortunately after 1 hour and 40 minutes there was still nothing there.

Ordered food today at 1850 with a delivery time of about 45 minutes, asked about 1955 and the order was supposedly on the way, when there was still no one there at 8:30 p.m. we canceled the order, a shame

So few months back we happen to visit Trier Germany and all of sudden had craving for some Asian cuisine and we tried PAPA Lu trier it was just a random choice and the food turned out to be the most perfect Asian taste I had for the very first time in Europe. I have been living in Luxembourg since 2 years and never had anything with perfect taste before. So now I always recommend people that if they visit trier don’t forget to have food from them 🥰😍

Went there on 28th of October, the service was great, and the presentation of the food was also really nice. Especially one of the workers there Helal, he was really good at his job and went out of his way to prepare a great meal for me and my friend. I'm really satisfied with his services. Food is in good proportions and also tastes good. Will go again for sure 😀.

We ate there a few days ago and it was simply wonderful. The restaurant was full and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the food. The burger, the warps and the finger food were super fresh, hot and very, very tasty.

Wir waren mit der Familie dort. Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich (mehrsprachig deutsch/englisch/französisch zur Info). Wir hatten alle unterschiedliche Burger die wirklich sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet waren. Besonders die Ponmes waren richtig knackig und lecker. Es gibt für kleine Kinder im hinteren Bereich eine tolle Spielecke wo auch ein Esstisch für die Eltern steht. Ich kann einen Besuch wirklich empfehlen 👍

Very tasty food with an oriental touch. The burger buns are great and the lemonades are simply delicious - our favorite is the melon lemonade.

Placed a large order online and was very dissatisfied. One of the citizen rolls was completely shriveled at the bottom, this bun also overpowered everything else in the citizen. The previously mentioned citizen's salad also looked absolutely terrible. (see picture for bun bottom and the lettuce leaf). The mango wrap tasted soapy/alky. Total failure. The coleslaw was sweet for whatever reason. The chicken was okay, but not particularly good either. The bun was normal for the second citizen, but even then it rather put the citizen down. Overall, the second citizen (spicy chicken) was quite good. The quantity in relation to the price was very solid. The fries arrived cold and really didn't taste delicious, but cold, thick fries would have needed more seasoning. Maybe we were just unlucky with the order, but I wouldn't recommend 90% of what arrived here to anyone.

The fries were super tasty and so was the cordon bleu! The children's portion for our baby with the 4 chicken strips was super big! The employee was super polite. A clear recommendation.

Papa Lu in Trier – A piece of Syria with a delicious flair We had the pleasure of visiting Papa Lu in Trier and it was simply fantastic! The service is courteous and the atmosphere is cozy – perfect for a relaxed meal. For dinner we had the Mexican Chicken and a Falafel Wrap. Both were freshly prepared, wonderfully seasoned and tasted excellent. We were particularly impressed by the falafel wrap - the falafel was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just as it should be! The drinks rounded off the experience: We ordered a Wild Berry Lemonade and a Blackberry Passion Fruit Iced Tea. Both drinks were refreshing and had a perfect balance of sweetness and fruitiness. Papa Lu is definitely worth a visit – not only for the great food but also for the warm and authentic hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

This is a really fun take on the term fast food. Really enjoyed the laid back vibe of the place in comparison to other “fast food” places. The mango ice tea was really good. I didnt really get much mango taste from the mango chicken wrap but it overall was still very tasty. You also get a generous portion, i was definitely very full after this.
