Ms. Lian in Trier

I had dinner there with a few friends and we weren't taken seriously at all. The conditions have been blaspheming us all along. Also, the food tasted like dish soap.

Great sushi and other specialties. Homemade lemonade is recommended.

We decided to try this sushi restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation and were really looking forward to it. To start on a positive note, the staff was very kind — our server was attentive throughout the meal, and they let us sit down even before our reservation time, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The sushi lacked flavor, and the tempura rolls were soggy. Without the mayo and soy-based sauces, there really wasn’t much taste. The prices felt too high for the quality, and the food took quite a while to arrive. We understand that every place can have an off night, and we truly appreciated the warm service. But in an area with so many solid sushi options, this one didn’t stand out. Hopefully, they can improve the overall food experience, but for now, I wouldn’t be quick to recommend it.

A great restaurant! Furnished with attention to detail. Fresh flowers on every table, a very nice and attentive service team with just the right feeling for the guest and of course a great menu with excellent food.

When I already ordered food and a drink here, I asked for a glass of tap water because I had to take some medication. I already had this in my hand, so it obviously wasn't a lie. I was denied this. I asked the waitress several times until at one point she told me "Boss doesn't allow that. You have to order water". Since it wasn't the waitress's fault, I didn't stress about it any further. But that is very unheard of. Taking medication should not cost any additional money. Since we had already ordered full, they wouldn't have made any loss through tap water, which runs out of their tap for free. Otherwise the food is mediocre and too expensive. The restaurant looks fabulous, but that's all.

Unfortunately, the waitress mixed up the tables when paying and therefore reacted rudely when splitting the bill and started speaking in her native language (probably insulting). That pretty much spoiled the entire visit at the end and made us stop eating there, despite the good food.

The food wasn't particularly tasty. I ordered a mango shake and it smelled like fish - it seemed like they cut the mango on the same board as the fish. The duck meat tasted terrible.

Very good Sushi restaurant in Trier.

Food good, service bad. Had sushi + 2 menus. However, service can be improved very much. Friendliness and decency training would be recommended. The next table was asked to leave because the minutes were over, no discussion but an order and the employee left immediately so that no more questions could be asked. At the end the tip was very rudely pointed out. =))) I always tip, but not here anymore. There are other comparable restaurants in Trier with a better atmosphere and, above all, service. LG

The service and customer service is very bad. The lady at the door is rude. I do not recommend at all. Also for the price and quality it is not worth it. Go to the Z&B restaurant 2 minutes away, much better!

Well my experience is very bad since since I started the service was terrible but I thought well the girl who served me will have a bad day but not the next thing is the food it took a long time small quantity for the price which is really not worth it the quality is very bad the sushi is tasteless nothing at all I ask for the bill I paid in cash and it was €77 and they kept the change without me saying anything so if you want to be robbed you will be left hungry if the food doesn't taste like anything this is the place it's never a shame I don't recommend it anymore

Delicious food!!! The coconut soup we had was an explosion of flavor. Definitely recommended! In addition, the sushi was also incredibly fresh and delicious. The portions are also great and their Thai basil drink was outstanding. Service also a 10! In short, we will definitely come back!

The service leaves a lot to be desired! I was left standing in front of a locked door for 10 minutes to issue a voucher, even though the entire staff was already on site. After I expressed my opinion about customer service, they didn't want to serve me any further and initially refused to issue me a voucher. Normally I thought restaurants were happy to do business. This restaurant doesn't seem to need it!

The sushi is very fresh and delicious.

Ordered tuna grilled with vegetables. The fish was of very poor quality, riddled with tendons, so I couldn't chew it. After my complaint I was served a better piece of tuna. However, due to the previous incident, I couldn't enjoy it as I wanted. It's a shame, I'll avoid the restaurant for a while now.

Charging 50 cents for packaging even though you never pay for it when you pick it up is absurd. It was said that his boss had definitely finished it.

We were visiting Trier and discovered this beautiful restaurant, with a nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food. Rarely have we eaten something so delicious, from the starter to the dessert. It was an experience👍 But definitely make a reservation.

The shop impresses with fresh ingredients and authentic taste - especially the salmon (with the wild herb curry) and Pho are delicious and a clear recommendation!

Excellent Asian restaurant that offers a wide variety of sushi and other dishes. I tried a few different courses and they were all delicious. Also, don’t miss out on their homemade lemonade.

Went to Ms.Lian's spontaneously for dinner and got a place for two people. The staff was very, very friendly, the food came super quickly and was really tasty. However, I only give 4 stars because the toilet doesn't match the ambience. The toilets are located in the basement, which can be reached via stairs. Not that the toilet already looked dirty from other customers, there were dusty cobwebs in the toilet behind the toilet brush and hanging down from the ceiling. The sink drain was also clogged, making this resemble a mini pool. An employee entered the toilet before me, it must have been noticed.

Pleasant setting.. Very attentive room staff. Against one of the sushi masters with the cap fiddling with his cell phone and touching the food at the same time and all this with his gloves..

Unfortunately very unfriendly and unprofessional behavior on the phone when ordering. We pre-ordered and wanted to change something (long before the pickup time) and that wasn't possible. Instead I had to cancel and then my name and phone number would be blocked. You should think about this before ordering. In other restaurants this is possible as long as the sushi hasn't been made yet... Very unfortunate. We liked ordering there.

Delicious food! We had fish soup and a sushi roll beforehand. As a main course we had a delicious piece of grilled salmon with delicious freshly stir-fried vegetables. Here you get large portions for a very reasonable price. Nice restaurant with friendly service. Too bad Amsterdam is not close to Trier, otherwise we would eat here regularly.

We were informed right at the beginning of our visit that we were only allowed to use the place for 2 hours. The food is actually always good and not too expensive. Ambiance: I find it a bit dark.

I went to this sushi restaurant on Saturday during my visit to Trier and overall I was very impressed. I would rate the sushi a 9/10. The makis with avocado could have been rolled a little better as they fell apart easily. The veggie mix, on the other hand, was perfect – a smooth 10/10! The 16 rolls were delicious and served nice and warm. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the price-performance ratio; In my hometown I pay significantly more for this amount. I also had a Mint Lemonade, which was really tasty and complemented the overall taste wonderfully. The staff were friendly and attentive, which further enriched the experience. I'd love to come back!

Art is made here for the senses of sight and taste. We were impressed by the great work that all the employees there do. Each sushi plate had its own creative touch and tasted incredibly good. Despite the restaurant being full, it went really quickly without feeling hectic, and everyone was very friendly. No feeling of stress. Very confident. There's just one thing to keep in mind: We had reserved a table and got there a little early. However, the premises do not offer any space to wait inside, so we stood in front of the door for a few minutes, but that wasn't a problem for us. It is still helpful to be punctual.

Miss Lian is just so delicious and has definitely saved us through the Corona period, they manage to make even the ToGo orders look really tasty. The taste is simply great.

Ms.Lian is my absolute favorite restaurant in Trier - a visit here is a must every time I'm in town. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, the sushi is always fresh and of the highest quality. The menu offers a great selection and every dish is a real taste experience. The service is top and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. For lovers of Asian cuisine, Ms.Lian is a real insider tip and a place that simply cannot be missed.

My family and our friends were here to grab a late lunch after having visted some of the attractions in the city . The ambience is great , the initial speed of delivery was good , the quantity of food was great .The dishes were tasting nice and we were enjoying the food, However all of this was discounted as we found a worm/ caterpillar in the brocolli that we were eating . So if you were to order food here my recommendation is to give this place a pass . if every other restaurant was to close and you had to eat here to survive , please dont order anything with brocolli. I do not think that the hotel has clear and set processes to deal with cleaning , processing and handling of food , atleast my experinece was not reflective of this . To make it worse the person waiting on us offerred to discount the price of the dish , which we declined and she instead gave a mango shake to make up and then presented us with a bill with a mandatory minimum tip which was way more than the cost of the mango shake .

We ordered sushi to pick up for €80. Apart from the fact that the service was extremely unfriendly (which can happen, we all have a shitty day), the quality, which was otherwise always good, was really subpar... I actually should have brought the stuff back to you. I can now say something like that can happen but not with sushi for €80!!!!!

Food is good! The atmosphere is very loud, as 7 tables in a small room are ok - the staff is "normal" - friendly! Maybe it's enough in Trier - in my opinion it could be friendlier!!!

Food was okay, but the service was bad, if you on a Saturday evening then it's a bad time people are in hurry to make Feierabend and tend to give you all left over food, I ordered a mango shake it was like left over juice which they served and it tasted like made out of rotten mango.

We received very good quality food in a stylish atmosphere with friendly staff. Everything is fresh and prepared very well for the eye and the palate. Price/performance ratio is good. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. I wish I stayed in Trier longer so that I could try their sushi. I’ve seen other people ordering it and the sushi looked absolutely delicious. The chicken that I have ordered was fantastic. Very soft, juicy, the sauce and rice were just perfect. We have tried their tea as well which was super refreshing and tasty. Additionally there was no problem packing our left overs for a takeaway, which was great. I would highly recommend Ms Lian to everyone, A+++

The food is almost always very good and fresh and the service is friendly. Sometimes it tastes just perfect, sometimes it tastes average, but overall it's always in the upper category and can hardly be found better in Asia

We found the restaurant on Google Maps. We were no longer able to reserve online at such short notice. We went there and actually got a table. We decided on sushi and a curry. Both came very quickly. Everything was very fresh and very nicely prepared and it tasted very good. The service was very friendly. The restaurant was very busy. Price performance is very good.

Was there today, overlooked on the door that only cash payment is possible today. At first I was served rudely by someone in casual clothing. After eating I wanted to pay by card. He asked me if I couldn't read, today only cash. Ok, then I had to walk 300 m to the nice machine. Conclusion: the guy in service doesn't work at all. This happens to me as a regular customer! From now on please be a regular customer. It certainly couldn't get any worse. Even the one star is certainly not justified here!

Any restaurant that simply refuses to give you tap water is an instant 1-star.

That was a failure. The fried sushi was served cold because the waitress apparently preferred to take care of herself rather than the guests. The chopsticks and soy bowls were dirty, and the chef spent his time behind the counter on his cell phone. Why do you even need a chef when you can constantly hear the microwave beeping from the kitchen?

Absolutely the best sushi I’ve ever had. Incredibly well priced, beautifully served, very attentive staff, great interior. If you’re in Trier, definitely a must! We had 74 pieces of sushi, a starter, and large drinks and it came to around €70 😍 great free parking around the back of the restaurant too

in itself a very nice restaurant. I've been there about 3 times so far and the food has always tasted good! The service was sometimes unfriendly but the food was ready quickly. One drawback, however, was the food poisoning that followed the last visit. That's why overall 3 stars :)

I was in a restaurant with a friend around lunchtime on July 27, 2024. We ordered an appetizer and 3 different shushi rolls. The starter was a compilation of various dishes from the starter menu. All components of our starter were fried and dry. They tasted more or less the same. There was no fresh component except for some unmarinated decorative salad that didn't taste good at all. The peanut sauce was runny like soup. When we asked if we liked it, we pointed out the deficiencies, whereupon the waitress simply walked away without comment. The sushi rolls, incidentally the more expensive ones on the menu, were also served on decorative lettuce, which already had a brownish-red edge, and were served together. The edge of each roll was given. We did not count the pieces, but were under the impression that they were counted as full pieces. Some were smaller than normal pieces, others larger. Some of these were difficult to eat. Other sushi simply fell apart and/or stuck badly to the base. Overall, only one roll tasted okay to us, the rest were rather old and tasted like nothing. Anything that was fried was overly fried. We didn't finish eating for the reasons mentioned. When the other waitress came, we again noticed defects in the sushi rolls. And we decided not to ask if we wanted to take anything with us for the reasons mentioned. The waitress then reacted very rudely with the comment that fried food is generally dry, which is not true. And she didn't know where we had eaten sushi before, but no one had ever complained to her. Overall, both service staff left an impression of ignorance, no accommodation and gave the impression that they felt personally attacked. There was no response to our complaint nor an offer. We paid a total of almost 70 euros for substandard food and substandard service. It should also be noted that the store doesn't seem clean. The cards were smudged, the cleaning bucket was in the baby high chair. At the end our wallets lay on the table for a while because we wanted to pay. The service checked on us a few times until we responded. We cannot understand the positive reviews. The food may look good. That was it though. We were deceived by the reviews. We won't come back.

A small restaurant 3 minutes from Porta Nigra. Good, not too large selection of sushi and other Japanese dishes. You can watch the preparation if you like. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended

The food is very high quality and tastes great. Had Sushi Sizzling Temptation as a starter and as a main course wild herb curry 1 x with duck and 1 x with salmon. I had the duck myself and it was soooo juicy and tender😍. Service was always very attentive and super friendly. We'd love to come back. 👍🏻

Ms.Lian is always worth a visit! Great atmosphere with excellent and fresh food, the price is completely reasonable and justified. Great variety & nice staff. (it's best to make a reservation 😄)

Service here is quick and nice, interior nice looking. The only disadvantage of this place is no garden where you could enjoy the food, but they have a parking for customers! Meals are looking delightful and taste even better. Elegant plates, looking fresh, nothing to add.

All fresh ingredients and very tasty

What a wonderful dining experience my wife and I had at this restaurant! We chose the Kamasutra Sushi Platter for 2, and it was simply amazing. The variety of delicious sushi creations really tantalized our taste buds, and the best part was that by the end we were more than satisfied and full - a true sign of great food! The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It was a real feast for the eyes when our table was served with the artfully arranged sushi platters. It was almost too pretty to eat, but of course we couldn't resist the temptation! The service in the restaurant was also excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly and very accommodating. We felt really welcome and well looked after throughout our stay. What we particularly liked was how child-friendly the restaurant was. Even though we were there without children, we could see how loving and attentive the staff was to the younger guests. This is definitely a big plus for families who want to eat here. All in all, our evening in the restaurant was simply perfect. From the delicious food to the excellent service to the pleasant atmosphere - we can highly recommend this restaurant. Five stars are simply not enough to adequately express our satisfaction!

I like Ms. Lian. My meal was very tasty. Well balanced in taste and a large portion. I can recommend everyone to spend a cozy evening there with good food and pleasant service.

Super quality and top price/performance ratio.

We ordered takeout yesterday. The second time, 2 different dishes arrived in one package so we were forced to sit down and eat together. This is often the case on site, where a plate arrives and is placed in the middle. Maybe everyone wants their own plate? Maybe if we were taking out, we just wanted to pick it up together. Please ask in advance whether it is okay for two dishes to arrive in one package.

The restaurant is cozy and offers a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the food was at our place quickly. It was very delicious. ☺️
