Totally overpriced Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is a flop. Far too expensive for what you get. If the pizza crust weren't so thick, you wouldn't be able to fill up on the rest. The pizza base is thinner than the onion rings on it. It lacks seasoning. A 0.5l non-alcoholic wheat beer costs €6.00. Even in the city center, it costs less. Prices should be reduced by 25% across the board. Never again.

I come here regularly because the food and pizza taste delicious and I always receive very friendly service.

A beautifully designed, modern restaurant with an interesting menu. The langoustines and lobsters were perfectly cooked and served piping hot. The service was very attentive and helpful, which ultimately impressed us beyond their expertise. The price was very fair. Highly recommended. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Grazie!

Excellent pizza! Very friendly service and an attentive owner. However, it wasn't very cozy. We were seated in the back of the dining room, where a large group was also present. The noise level was unbearable. Luckily, we were able to move to a free table at the front. That saved our evening.

We recently visited this restaurant with a group. The reserved table was far too cramped; five chairs had been pushed onto one side instead of four, leaving hardly any room to move. The dining room was freezing cold; we were initially shivering until other guests arrived and it warmed up a bit. Our glass of sparkling wine as an aperitif (€8.90) was flat, and the restaurant doesn't offer peach liqueur or anything similar to add to the sparkling wine. While the menu sounds appealing, the dishes we ordered (pizza, tagliatelle with scampi, truffle tagliatelle, pasta alla panna) were all completely tasteless. Everyone at the table tried to add salt, and we all consume very little salt in our daily lives. €30 for a small portion of truffle pasta that tasted of nothing is a joke. Had we opted for the "pasta served from a Parmesan wheel" option, the portion would have cost another €10. Five to six grilled scampi cost €37.90. French fries were included as a side dish—at an Italian restaurant, no less! A handful of spaghetti alio e olio on the side cost an extra €2.50. The scampi were dry, the pasta was spicy, but otherwise both were completely unseasoned. Even the vegetarian pizza for €17 tasted of nothing. The women's restroom lacked both soap and towels. The service staff was unfortunately not very friendly. The daily specials menu didn't list any prices. That's unacceptable. In conclusion: The quality of the dishes was reasonably good, but the value for money—particularly the portion sizes, taste, and service—was unfortunately not acceptable. With a bill of over €400, it was a complete disappointment. What a shame.

Delicious authentic Italian food. Delicious food and wonderful wine. The host is genuinely proud of his restaurant but tends a bit towards arrogance. After 9:00 PM, they were busy cleaning up and barely saw any guests. We had to ask for coffee ourselves.

I visited the Da Antonio restaurant with my daughter on October 28, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. It was our first visit there, but certainly not our last. Luckily, we had a reservation, as it was very busy. We had a small table for two, right next to the entrance. The reception was very friendly and attentive. Overall, I found my stay there truly perfect, as the subsequent service, the truly fantastic food, and the personal touch of the chef rounded off the whole experience. We would definitely be happy to return to the Da Antonio restaurant from Wittlich anytime.

Six of us came here for dinner – unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Although the parking situation was difficult, the owner was very helpful in finding one. The fact that we were allowed to bring our dog despite the sign prohibiting it was also kind. After that, things went downhill: The service was inattentive, and we had to ask several times whether we were even allowed to order – one person was completely forgotten. Drinks sometimes arrived incorrectly and had to be returned. The room was completely overcrowded, overheated, the atmosphere stuffy, and the noise level so high that conversation was barely possible. Even simple things like pizza rolls had to be requested repeatedly. After waiting 1.5 hours in this unbearable atmosphere, we finally ordered takeout. The drinks were covered by the house – which was at least fair. Unfortunately, the food was the next disappointment: overcooked, tasteless pasta, a tiny portion (probably a child's plate size – see photo), barely any scampi in the salad, and a sadly mediocre pizza that in no way justifies the price. Everything seemed unloving and far from the standards of an upscale Italian restaurant. The genuinely friendly manager made an effort and promised to improve – but there certainly won't be a next time for us.

Today was the first and certainly the last time I was there! Four of us were there, and everyone agreed...once and never again. We had to wait over an hour for our food, and the last meal arrived when the first two were almost finished. The pizza with Parma ham, arugula, and Parmesan was completely overpriced at €19.90 and absolutely nothing special. Beef fillet in Gorgonzola sauce for €41, plus an additional €2.50 because I wanted croquettes instead of fries, a complete joke... because I've never had such a bad Gorgonzola sauce and such a thoroughly cooked fillet anywhere in Trier. The spaghetti vongole was served in tomato sauce and certainly tastes better frozen than it does here. We had a bottle of Chianti for €49, which was comparable to a €5 wine from the supermarket. All in all, completely overpriced, a lot of fuss and absolutely nothing behind it. The boss is absolutely self-absorbed and arrogant. The fact is...once and never again!!!!

Very good pizza. The dough and toppings were really good, and the pizza selection was something different. There aren't many vegetarian dishes, but everyone will find something here. Fish lovers in particular have a wide selection here. The service was very good, friendly, and accommodating. It's not Neapolitan pizza, but compared to other pizza places in Trier, this pizzeria definitely ranks high.

We went to "Da Antonio" with our friends for pizza on Saturday evening. We received a very friendly welcome from the service team. We were given a table on the covered terrace, where we enjoyed the late summer atmosphere all evening. We received very attentive service. The pizzas were truly delicious. The dessert, consisting of affogatos and an espresso martini, was also a real highlight. We are therefore happy to give it the maximum score! The ambiance is very cozy and stylish, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or a special occasion. The food was simply outstanding – freshly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and lovingly presented. Last night, three of us went there with a reservation. We had to wait a long time for our order. When it finally arrived, my wife and I were disappointed by the amount. I ordered grilled steak with extra grilled vegetables, and she ordered spaghetti with seafood. Our friend ordered a pizza that looked good, but of course, we didn't try it. The grilled vegetables cost an extra €2.50, which I don't have a problem with, but I didn't get fries (I had canceled my order beforehand), and they simply didn't bring me the salad, which I normally pay for with the meal. After the main course, two more people wanted dessert, which we asked for twice but didn't get until I personally got up and asked the completely overwhelmed and annoyed waitress about it. €10 for one! A scoop of ice cream with ready-made whipped cream and a shot of eggnog is a disgrace for this restaurant, as are the rest of the prices. The portions are absolutely outrageous for the prices and, in my opinion, pure rudeness... The only time the staff was quick was when it came to cashing in. Prices are like those of a good restaurant in Luxembourg, but the service is terrible. The food doesn't live up to the prices either. We don't recommend this restaurant and won't go there again. There are countless better restaurants in Trier and the surrounding area with far friendlier and more responsive staff where you'll be welcomed with pleasure...

We will never go back to this restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for drinks. Everyone who came after us had their drinks, and some of them had already had their food. I then got up and left. My family stayed and, when they were paying, they told us to come next time when it wasn't so busy, or better yet, not at all. Very customer-friendly.

I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The fine words and sentences are pure hypocrisy. The way the owner speaks to his staff about his guests is abnormal; he's a loudmouth beyond compare. We went there without a reservation and were assigned a free table. According to the owner, it was made clear to the staff, loudly and every word could be heard outside, that this was unacceptable. I felt as if someone had punched me in the face. I advise everyone not to visit this establishment. I went into the restaurant and confronted the owner. Before he could make the gesture to leave, I paid for our drinks and we left. I have never met such an arrogant fellow in my life (I'm 74 years old). I hope I'm not alone in my assessment.

Extremely unfriendly service! Not recommended, especially for families with babies or small children! We reserved a table for two people in advance and explicitly mentioned a stroller. They agreed to allow more space. Upon arrival, we found a cramped middle seat with no space for the stroller. They didn't discuss it further, and we left. They were hoping for good weather, which wasn't the case that day. We won't be coming back!

Unfortunately, the staff also showed no apparent effort to find a solution. The "boss" addressed the problem in passing for about 30 seconds, leaving the unpleasant situation to the junior staff member. A wasted trip despite a reservation – very disappointing.

Good food, but disappointing value for money. I tried the truffle pasta – it tasted absolutely fantastic: aromatic, well-seasoned, and made with high-quality truffles. Unfortunately, the portion was extremely small, almost like an appetizer. For €30, I expect more – both in terms of quantity and overall experience. In comparison, you can get similar quality in Luxembourg for €25–27, but with a reasonable portion size.

A group of eleven of us ate there on Friday. Initially, we were told that, since we were a large group, it might take a while. We were then given a baguette with garlic butter (very good) and tomato and mozzarella. I initially liked the idea of everyone getting their food at the same time. However, we weren't so keen on the fact that it "took a while" and extended to a full two hours. Getting another drink wasn't easy either. We ordered it, but it never arrived. It only arrived after further enquiry. The majority of our group didn't find the food all that exciting either. The pizza wasn't cooked all the way through, the chicken pieces in the salad were still translucent, the pasta with scallops and scampi barely contained one scampi, the tortellini with spinach tasted of nothing, etc. The price-performance ratio here is completely out of proportion! Conclusion: We'll definitely go somewhere else next time!

Yesterday, I went to this restaurant for the first time with my friends and children. I ordered a pizza and spaghetti Bolognese for the kids. The pizza was delicious, but we didn't like the spaghetti at all. All we could taste was the acidity of the tomato sauce. I would particularly like to complain about the behavior of the staff. First, we had to wait a very long time for our order to even be taken. In the meantime, I had already played with the children on the playground and came back half an hour later – and the order still hadn't been taken. Yes, it was busy, but what restaurant is quiet in the summer when the weather is nice? Second, when I wanted to pay and leave, I called the waiter twice to take my money. He saw me and came to our table to bring food, but simply ignored me. The third time, he said to me in an annoyed tone: "Go to the bar; it's quicker to pay there." So I went to the bar – and there, of all people, he took my money. The atmosphere at the bar was very tense. The manager was loudly cursing everyone in Italian – or everyone was cursing him, it wasn't entirely clear. But everyone was arguing and was obviously stressed. I felt like I was an unwelcome guest in this restaurant, whose orders were just a nuisance. I'm sorry, but I won't be visiting this restaurant again – and I won't recommend it to anyone. I think people in Germany should stop being so unpretentious and simply accepting bad service and mediocre food.

Very disappointing. Unfortunately, the behavior of the staff and the lack of intervention by the manager completely ruined our impression of this café. We – a group of women with children – were treated disrespectfully by the staff. They laughed in our faces, made fun of us, and didn't take us seriously. The service was extremely slow. Orders were mixed up, and the food arrived very late – accompanied by rude behavior. The pizza was practically thrown onto the table, the plates almost thrown. This kind of behavior is completely inappropriate, especially in a café of this standard. I'm convinced the staff wouldn't have allowed themselves to do this if a man had been present. Such rude and disrespectful behavior is absolutely unacceptable. It's a real shame – we definitely won't be coming back, even though we were actually there with a large group.

We ate outside and got a table without a reservation. There were five of us in total, and we ordered from across the menu. All the dishes were really good in terms of quality and taste. I would also rate it as good in terms of price, because you have to pay for good quality.

I was hoping for more. I decided to go there because of the good reviews and was quite disappointed. The service was okay, but nothing more. It was quite cramped, and when we were there, the ventilation wasn't working. The temperature inside was accordingly bad. The pizza is okay, but in my opinion, too expensive for what was delivered. It was worth the experience. But that's about it.

Lovingly presented dishes, prepared with passion and made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, delivered every two days from a very good address. Particularly delicious and all homemade: the crispy pizza bread with herb butter and the pizza à la Napoletana, the very fine pasta dishes, including fresh seafood... Meat dishes are sliced ​​and served right at your table... A large selection of excellent wines... Pure quality! The ambiance is typically Italian, like being on vacation... a large, cozy, covered terrace, and parking available. Very friendly, attentive staff and a proud Italian owner who places great value on high quality and freshness and has his guests' well-being at heart. Excellent value for money... definitely worth every detour, whether before or after shopping in the center of Trier. Highly recommended!

The food has no salt and the service is awful. Trier is a lovely city but cannot believe the chef here is such a rude racist.

Worst dining experience ever, racist owner with no service! Police intervened. We ordered at around 19:20 and got our food at 20:11. Our dishes look good, but we don’t taste salt at all. We called waitress to make it more salty, and she said the chef will come. Until 20:37 we asked twice, no one comes at all. About 10 min later we finally found the owner and asked that we don’t want two dishes anymore because we are tired of endless waiting. He agreed that we don’t need to pay for the two pasta and apologized for the service. We returned the two pasta and didn’t eat them. However, when we went back to our table, he came out and shout to us that we have to pay and get away, saying that “I will not come outside again, just pay and get away! If you want to have something salty, go to your Chinese restaurant and get yourself soja sauce. Don’t ever come again!” Plus some rush Italian we couldn’t understand. That was so impolite and insulting. We escalated again and he called police. The police helped out, and we left in the end at 21:18. It was just a simple request of more salt at the beginning, but it ended up in such an unpleasant situation with empty stomach. Pictures can show the timestamps I described.

It was such an unpleasant dining experience. My dish was okay but to be honest, the servicing was appallingly rude. I will never revisit again.

This was one of the worst dining experiences—both in food quality and customer service. After waiting for 30 minutes, we were served extremely bland pasta. It had no flavor whatsoever. It wasn’t authentic Italian, nor was it anything enjoyable. Serving bad food isn’t rare, but what rare was how poorly the staff handled our complaint. We politely asked for the dish to be redone—twice—but no one came to take it back or even offer an explanation. After waiting another 20 minutes, we had to search for the owner ourselves. We asked to return the untouched pasta and receive a refund. The gentleman became furious, took the untouched dish, and threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay. His words were: “If you want something with heavy taste, go to a Chinese restaurant.” This was a shocking experience. I’ve always loved Italian food, but this was neither Italian-level cuisine nor the kind of attitude any reasonable restaurant should have toward its customers.

After three days of local cuisine we booked to have a lighter dinner, we found a cuisine of excellent level compared to the Italian standards, the pizza excellent and digestible, as the meat and the grilled octopus dishes. The prices are higher but proportionate to a good Italian cuisine abroad, considering that here, however, the cost of living is higher.

Upscale Italian restaurant in Trier-Feyen. Parking in the immediate vicinity is very problematic, but parking is occasionally available at the Südbad swimming pool/allotment gardens.

Unfortunately it was a very annoying evening. We were a group that was initially forgotten over drinks. There was an apology, which was fine so far, but some guests who arrived later were served before us, even though there was already a lot going on at that time. The food was then also served late. One part of the group got their pizza, 5-10 minutes later the others got their food and so it went on. My food was completely forgotten. I was asked again what I had ordered. After a long wait, my little child and I still hadn't gotten anything to eat. So I reported to the front and said that my food didn't have to come anymore because everyone else was almost finished. Nevertheless, some time later someone came with my food. I declined because everyone was ready and my child was kindly given something to eat by someone else. The reaction was a simple “Ok,” then you turned around with the plate. That was it then. I'm sorry, but that's really not possible. When we tried to complain afterwards, we were ignored and the waitress simply pointed out that we had to pay for another drink. Thanks!

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I visited the Da Antonio restaurant on a recommendation. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The stylish ambience, the bar and terrace were great. The sanitary area was hygienically clean. The service was attentive, friendly and gave us great recommendations. My friend ordered the pasta in a parmesan loaf with truffles, and I ordered the luxury fish platter. As we were waiting for our food, we saw the many great dishes coming out of the kitchen, wow... the individual plates were perfectly presented and the products were brilliant. Each individual plate was a work of art in itself. It shows that the chef and the kitchen team cook with passion... In the meantime, the boss personally came with the loaf of Parmesan and prepared the pasta right in front of us, he did a really great job, and at the end this grated truffle was delicious... My fish platter had a hefty price, but I was happy to pay that price for this high quality and variety. As I mean I tried fish, it was simply heavenly... the first bite felt like a trip to the country of origin of the cuisine, a true culinary delight... There was also a well-stocked wine rack with first-class wines, wines like Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Summus, Amarone etc... Something for every taste. The chic restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful evening. A big compliment and thank you to Antonio and the great team. You know how to make your guests happy... Keep it up...👍

Here the boss himself is active in service. The service is really great (this also includes activities such as preparing the steak portions on a rolling side table directly in front of the customers). The atmosphere is very inviting. Classically simple decoration, pictures of prestigious Italian celebrities such as Adriano Celentano or Luciano Pavarotti round off the overall picture. The food as such is lovingly prepared. The bruschetta, for example, was perfect in terms of temperature. The bread was crispy and yet not too hard on the crusts, the tomatoes perfectly rounded off and seasoned with the garlic, the basil leaf completed the whole thing beautifully. The scallops were very juicy, high quality and cooked to perfection. The yogurt-heavy homemade sauce that was served went well. Prepared on the mussel: finely chopped tomato cubes, which seemed indescribably crunchy. In combination with the spices used, the whole thing was a dream. Please note: I have only discussed the starters so far. This extremely positive impression was able to prevail through all the dishes (my companions allowed me to try a wide range of different dishes on the menu). And this is exactly where the big plus comes: Where many restaurants with a diverse selection cannot extend the attention to detail across the entire product range (for example, you make a very good pizza, but the pasta tastes like you made it at home with a store-bought pesto), this restaurant scores with a high standard of quality. The pizzas are very tasty and tasty, the pasta is professionally prepared with homemade sauces, the fish is fried to perfection, etc. ... The daily recommendations (or "extra offers") that are always changing (ingredients like Nduja from Calabria) give an additional incentive to visit the restaurant again because they are not always on the menu. Summary: 5 stars are absolutely justified, the shop is top class from front to back and definitely the most authentic Italian cuisine in the city of Trier.

I recently dined at Restaurant da Antonio and absolutely loved my visit! For my main course, I had the vegetarian Pizza Provençale Dubai, which was simply delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the fresh ingredients, such as the aromatic herbs and seasonal vegetables, made every bite a taste experience. The combination of the different flavors was outstanding, and I highly recommend this pizza. For my starter, I had the Prawn Cocktail. The prawns were fresh and tender, and the sauce was light and refreshing. It was the perfect start to my dinner. For dessert, I had a lemon sorbet, which was not only refreshing but also perfectly flavored. It was the ideal sweet touch to round off the meal. Overall, my visit to Restaurant da Antonio was a delight. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit! Five stars from me!

A mega selection of corresponding wines that will make your wine heart beat faster. We chose the “Primitivo Cinquenoci from Tagaro”. Although the wine has 15% alc content, it is very pleasant to drink at a good temperature. The CINQUENOCI is characterized by intense, long-lasting aromas of ripe, red fruits. Full-bodied, elegant berry notes underline the harmonious finish. The deep red color is streaked with violet reflections. A dream 😍 As a starter we had carpaccio and vitello tonato, super fresh and so delicious, garnished with anchovies capers or rocket and parmesan. For the main course we had the fillet with Gorgonzola sauce, which was grilled to perfection, the sauce was a creamy dream, not too much but not too little Gorgonzola, absolutely perfect. Then there was Paillard di Manzo and, as a side dish, truffle pasta made from the Parmesan loaf, which included a cool show 😅 The meat was pounded nice and thin and grilled to perfection, and the truffle pasta was simply perfect. Very balanced ratio of parmesan and truffles simply a poem. Since we're still traveling in Trier until tomorrow, we're going to have a pizza there this evening, because it looked very, very good. Of course, how could it be otherwise😅 So off to “da Antonio” 😍

Went to Da Antonio for the first time yesterday, a lovely experience. An authentic Italian restaurant, it was possible to have a quick chat with the owner and learn something about wine and food. Excellent food, very good service, decent selection of wines in several price and quality levels. Definitely recommended.

The food was ok, but unfortunately there are problems every time when picking it up. Important parts have already been missing twice in five orders. We went to this great restaurant for the first time yesterday. The dishes Antonio and his team conjured up for us yesterday, from pasta to fish and truffles, were absolutely amazing. We were also served the right wine for each course🥂🍷🍾 I definitely recommend going here. The restaurant is cozy and the team is warm and always there for their guests. We were disappointed. Service had no idea. She couldn't give us any information about the additives. Where is the coloring and preservatives contained?
