A very cozy restaurant. From the outside, it's hard to tell this is a very cozy Italian restaurant. The service, food, and drinks are excellent value for money! We'll definitely be back when we're in Thrier!

I really liked the atmosphere. The spaghetti was delicious and piping hot – I've never experienced anything like it! The staff were all very attentive and friendly. Our dog was welcome, and the server immediately brought us water without me even having to ask. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. And the tiramisu for dessert was absolutely delicious! 🤪 So, if I'm ever in Trier again, we'll definitely come back. Five stars!

Beautifully decorated restaurant. We were here for dinner around 6 p.m. We didn't need a reservation. The selection was very good. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are listed on the menu. Ordering was quick. The wait time for the food was absolutely reasonable. The food was very good. The staff was very friendly. Prices were perfectly reasonable.

We ate here on a beautiful summer evening. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and tasted truly top-notch. The service staff was very attentive and friendly (simply top-notch). The ambiance was beautiful. At dusk, candles were brought to the table, and otherwise everything was clean and to my satisfaction. The price was perfectly reasonable; meals cost between €15 and €30 per person. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's definitely worth it.

The food here was neither bad nor great - just like the service. One waitress was very nice, while another one seemed irritated towards us because we hadn't received the food we ordered. The food was not very impressive, reminding us of what you get in a school canteen. It was OK, but nothing more. On a positive note, our order didn't take long and the lemonade was good. Overall, we were disappointed and don't really understand why this restaurant has such positive ratings. If you're desperate for a restaurant to fill your stomach, this will do, but if you're looking for a culinary experience, go somewhere else.

Good food at good prices. Top-notch service.

The food is very good and excellent, but the staff, especially the waiters, have little experience interacting with guests. Ordering an ashtray can take up to 15 minutes. The tables are often dirty from previous guests, and when you ask for them to clean them, the waiter/waitress seems surprised. It seems that most of the waiters are teenagers who still have a lot to learn before working directly with guests. Friendliness alone isn't always enough—experience is just as important!

Had a meal and drinks here whilst on holiday. Everything was good, food really nice, service prompt. Until we came to pay the bill. We were charged 63 euros for 2 meals and 2 drinks each. My wife thought this seemed steep. On checking we realised we had been overcharged so my wife went to see the manager. It turned out the waiter ( a young Asian lad) had given himself a 7 euro tip. The manager did apologise on his behalf and refunded 5 euros. Just a heads up to check your bill! Been in Germany for a few weeks and never had this happen before.

It smells of fresh food. This is exactly how I imagine a perfect Italian meal. It's super clean and the service is incredibly friendly. They always cater to your needs. The value for money is good. Highly recommended.

We actually liked it and enjoyed it. There was just a bit too much pizza, so we had to have it wrapped up. We were there on Monday, August 24th, between 4:30 and 5 p.m. and sat outside. From the picture, you can see how heartlessly the leftover pizza was wrapped up. I wonder if they didn't have a bigger box? It's a real shame!!!

Miserable Not recommended!!!! I ordered a meat dish for €25. The meat was inedible. We were served by a waiter who was a trainee. He told me, "You tasted the food. I have to bill you." I only cut the meat, and I couldn't eat it because it was simply not okay. People, what are you thinking? What kind of behavior is this?

The food tasted like nothing. The service was extremely unfriendly, bordering on arrogant. The atmosphere inside resembled a train station concourse. The restrooms were so filthy you wouldn't even want to wash your hands there. Unfortunately, it's impossible to give this place 0 stars.

We happened upon it by chance. We really liked the ambiance. When the weather's nice, there's a very large terrace outside. The service is very friendly and attentive. Great menu with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. We had the vegetarian lasagna and tagliatelle aglio olio with shrimp. Everything was delicious. Afterward, we had an espresso with tiramisu. I really enjoyed the Blanc de Noir. I remembered the winemaker ;) We can definitely recommend Donna Mia. The pizza at the next table also looked very good.

Italian that does the job but extremely slow service - don't come here if you're hungry because you'll be even hungrier when your food arrives! We came with 2 children and had a bill of 54 euros (1 child's pizza, 1 child's pasta, 1 salad and 1 adult pasta) dessert

The food is good, the portions are generous...but the service is looooong

I went to this restaurant with my children. The pizza was served uncut, and nothing was placed on the table except the pizza plate. Since the pizza wasn't sliced and we weren't given a special knife, I had to hold it with my hands and somehow cut it myself – I found that very inconvenient. When the waiter later brought another plate, something fell over and the children's juice spilled all over the table. I politely asked for another juice – a given for me, since my child hadn't even had a sip. I was all the more surprised when I had to pay for the juice anyway. So in the end, I paid for not two, but three juices – we didn't even drink the third one. I'm really disappointed and will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The pizza? A masterpiece of tastelessness. The drinks were so watered down, I might as well have sipped from a garden hose. The only thing that was truly excellent here was the service.

Never sit in the back of the bar! The waiters don't care that customers are sitting there! Loud talking, clinking glasses, and excessive chatter from the staff – that's not appropriate. The food was so-so, very bland, and lacking in love. This is more like German-Italian food, not true Italian. The ambiance inside is nice, but outside is nothing special.

The food is unfortunately subpar. Pasta cooked far too long is thrown onto a plate with some tomato sauce and random (much-too-large) pieces of vegetables. There's no love in the dishes, and certainly no love in the service. You have to ask three times to order and three times to pay, and you have to wait each time.

I entered hungry, full of culinary desire, but instead of enjoyment, I got only tasteless frustration. The pizza was so pale that even Shadow was startled, so I scattered flowers – a last act of desperation. The Fanta, served like a joke without laughter, was so thin that even tap water would have made more. But when the bill came, I realized: You're paying a lot for this – really expensive, in fact.

Lovely evening. Our waiter, Aaron, was very nice. <3 Really great, but the mango e menta was harsh and underwhelming, unfortunately. All in all, wonderful, we'd love to come back. Best I miss Aaron.

We ate right at the bar. The waiter behind the counter was constantly swearing and banging glasses back and forth. We ate our pizza, which didn't really taste good anymore. We mentioned it when paying, but there was no apology or anything.

I have been here several times and noticed that the menu has changed. There is not as much choice as before. However, the pizza is really good. I ate spaghetti with oil, unfortunately it was really bad. As an Italian, they are afraid to serve me a dish like that. Spaghetti is soft and tasteless, there is no olive oil in it but rather a broth. It is not worth the €12.90.

The food is quite OK, and I mean that in a positive way. Sitting outside is great when the weather's good. You can do it.

The waitress was very quick with the outdoor terrace packed. Unfortunately, the appetizer was served at the same time as the pizza. Due to a sudden rainstorm, everything had to be moved inside. The entire staff was great at cooperating. A highlight: They even handed out umbrellas to the guests :-)

The food was okay, or probably not that bad, but we waited 1.5 to 2 hours for our food despite having a table reservation, and during our meal, no one asked if we wanted anything to drink. Unfortunately, this was the last time I went here.

Despite the heat, the service was very good! The food was delicious, just like the warm weather we're having in Bella Italia. Highly recommended.

We had gnocchi and chicken breast but the “side dish” of the chicken breast was soft spaghetti with cream and the gnocchi were very hard with cream and pesto. The “””””lemonade”””””” was water with two slices of lemon and one of orange. But tasteless paid about 8/10€

We were probably just unlucky. The appetizer arrived immediately, the drinks a few minutes later, but the pizzas never arrived. We asked, and they were 10 minutes late. Then we waited another 15 minutes for the final espresso. Unfortunately, the "short" stop took 2.5 hours. Otherwise, the food was delicious. The service was friendly.

We ordered an aperol spritz with the antipasti misti for lunch and were super surprised. The antipasti was very tasty and extensive, and the aperol spritz was not stingy😉. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and they handled our allergy well (nuts).

The Donna Mia restaurant is located in the heart of Trier on the Kornmarkt. It serves typical Italian dishes, pasta, pizza, and salads. The restaurant seems to be very popular, as every table was already full by early evening. Therefore, reservations are recommended if you want to eat there. I actually found it a bit too crowded, too hectic, and too hectic. The food was delicious, but the pizza had a very wide crust. The staff is very friendly, but a little overwhelmed. You can sit inside or outside.

We had a reservation (confirmed by the restaurant!) for a table next to the window for 18h of today. At 18:02 we were at the place and the waiter asked if we had a reservation. On his tables' map we saw the table, which was reserved in our name, next to the window (table number 7 if someone cares), BUT: - the table was already given to someone else and there were no other tables to the window free; - we were offered a small table in the middle of other groups. Of course, I cancelled our stay in this restaurant. I doubt if I am going to reserve soon here - my birthday evening was ruined and I left the place with a bitter feeling. Guys, if you can't follow the promise to your customers, don't make it at all! I'm very disappointed!

Excellent food, friendly and fast service, great ambience and clean toilets. What more could you want? For me one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. Top!

Wir haben dieses Restaurant am Samstag vor Ostern besucht. Zunächst mussten wir auf unsere 3 bestellten Nudelgerichte fast eine ganze Stunde warten. Dann bekamen wir 3 Gerichte, von denen keines wirklich genießbar war. Das Pesto auf den Nudeln meiner Tochter war definitiv aus dem Glas, meine Gemüsesoße war total verkocht. Am schlimmsten waren jedoch die Nudeln. Verkocht, weich. So als wären sie vorgekocht und dann nochmal im Wasser gewesen. Ungenießbar. Beim Bezahlen merkte ich bei der Bedienung an, dass das für einen Italiener nicht ginge. Antwort: Das sind ja auch keine Italiener, ich würde hier auch nichts essen… 70€ gezahlt für richtig schlechtes Essen, nie wieder!

Were there on Sunday, everything could have been a little more seasoned

Very nice atmosphere, especially if you like a bit of retro industrial style. We found it rather expensive, a salad "topping" of some tuna and capers €7.90, although the salad portion itself was plenty, although not all the leaves were fresh but already brownish. At first I found the hatch in the kitchen very appealing so that you could have a view of the kitchen. Although at a later date we would have wished that this view had been spared. We found it really disgusting to watch the chef, or head chef, whoever it was, constantly wiping the sweat from his face, forehead and nose, then immediately afterwards reaching into various containers and finishing the dishes that other employees had prepared for him. Regardless of whether it was lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, bread or cutlery, etc., he tackled all of it with his sweaty, unwashed fingers. It's a no go........ shame! It's a good thing you don't have access to every kitchen 🙈 However, something needs to be changed here

... Pizza deutlich verbrannt zu 2/3 der Pizza. Auch geschmacklich (Pizza Hawaii) fraglich. ... Pizza wurde dann zurückgekommen, aaaaber (festhalten!), nach 2 Minuten wieder zurückgebracht, weil dass so in Ordnung sei. Unterirdisch! .. überlegen Sie es sich.

I like to refer to “Donna Mia” at the Trier Kornmarkt as “our pizzeria” In any case, my wife knows immediately which restaurant I mean. The food is great, the staff is friendly and the entire atmosphere, in summer also outside in front of the restaurant, is very, very nice. Our favorite pizzeria, also in Saarlouis.

Normally the waiters and waitresses at Donna Mia are very nice and polite. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience on Monday with a rude waiter. When we ordered a pizza to take away for our child, the man warned us that children's pizza should only be ordered for children. We were amazed. Then he told us that it would take 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready, even though there weren't many customers and he didn't ask in the kitchen. We picked up the pizza almost cold. We were really disappointed.

Ieder jaar komen we deze periode naar Trier en gaan dan altijd naar Donna Mia. De Zuppa di Pomodoro is heerlijk. Als je van pittig houdt dan is de Pizza Diavolo een aanrader. Bediening is zeer correct en restaurant heeft mooie uitstraling en prettige sfeer met onder andere grote foto’s van het Italiaanse leven

Very disappointed. When you look at the ambience you feel comfortable. But as soon as the food is there. That's it. The prices are too high for the taste. The pesto in my pasta tastes like grass, not basil. The Aldi pesto is tastier for €2. The drinks taste good. If I come again, it would only be for the ambience, and ONLY for drinks. To go out to eat. Is this ZERO recommended. Very unfortunate.

Been there several times. The pizzas are ok and the service is nice. However, pasta is not recommended. Overcooked, bland, poor in taste. The last time I had pasta with pork tenderloin. That was completely tough. Complaints to the otherwise very friendly service received no response.

We sat upstairs in the “Casino” event room because unfortunately there was no space downstairs. But we didn't reserve either. It's quieter upstairs but the ambience downstairs is a bit nicer. Food great as always 👍

The pizza was very good. The service was very attentive and friendly, although it was admittedly not very busy. Big drawback: There was an acrid smell of urine in the men's toilet, which something urgently needed to be done about.

Atmosphere is pleasant. The service is very nice but a bit disorganized. The food is okay. Our pasta wasn't al dente, but we could get over that. What is unacceptable is that the kitchen crew places the vouchers directly on the salads so that the service knows which table they have to be brought to. This is really unhygienic and incomprehensible. Given the ambience of the restaurant, the toilets were pretty poorly cleaned and some of the fittings were broken.
