Many thanks to Toni for the lovely evening with my family. Delicious burgers, only the fries were lukewarm... Toni would have brought new ones straight away. Glad it's continuing!

Service was super slow. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, we had to wait 35 mins just to order. The food was good, we had 3 burgers. Truffle fries were yummy. But everything took them way too much time. Even to bring just one cup of coffee!

We were there for the first time today and will definitely come back. The service tried very hard to find us a suitable table with a small child and was very accommodating. We thought the selection of food was great and what we ordered was really tasty! We definitely liked the burgers better than the fries, which were fine. The ambience is really great and definitely invites you to linger. Another plus: the changing room is very clean and well-equipped.

Had a delightful lunch at Hans im Glück in Trier! The burgers were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients that really made each bite enjoyable. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality and taste made it well worth it. The atmosphere was also cozy and inviting, adding to the overall great dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving a good burger in Trier!

The hamburgers were very good, but very overpriced at €12.50, but the extremely nice staff made up for it. The constant loud blast of techno music was cruel, it spoiled our taste...

The burger today was unfortunately substandard. Dry brioche bun, fried burger, little toppings. Normally the burgers are reasonably balanced and not too heavy! Hope this is temporary... Service was top and delicious drinks/lemonades

There was nothing wrong with the service, nice and friendly staff, we were served quickly. In contrast to other “Hans im Glück”, the food disappointed us this time. The salad wasn't quite fresh anymore, the corn on the cob and the burger weren't really warm, which was a shame.

Location: Located in the city center, almost on the Potra Nigra. So no parking spaces available. Service: When I asked which manufacturer would be behind the beer. The waiter said: "A Pilsner" and he didn't know anything else and I should ask another waiter. 🙈 okay The rest of the service was friendly, it only stalled again when it came to advice on what to combine with what. (was there for the first time) Eat: Yes, it was okay, but really nothing special. Since I really like eating burgers, it was just average. The sauces on the table are a plus. In many restaurants you can only get them pre-packaged or for an additional charge. 👍 Price-performance: Let's be honest, it's a chain, so prices are higher and you get less. Burger 🍔 + fries 🍟 + drink = you can get larger burgers elsewhere for over €20. Ambiance: The chain, birch trunks and a lot of wood look are the same in every store. But it seems very modern. Honestly "Looks good 🤙👈"

If you have a child with you, you don't even have to wait until a table becomes available. Simply people were treated unworthily and disgustingly at the entrance!

Burger was lukewarm... My personal opinion is that the price/performance ratio is not quite right...

Hot chocolate was lukewarm. Chocolate milk is served in a small cup, they charge €3.90 for this. The outside of the cup was completely dirty from the chocolate milk. They do nothing with the complaint. The floor was very dirty and greasy, be careful not to slip to go to the toilet. Toilet was dirty, no more paper to dry your hands. Paid for drinks and went to eat somewhere else. Too bad about his case. It is so beautifully decorated.

Unfriendly host, many tables empty. Fully full, it was difficult to have lunch as a passer-by, with great difficulty we were allowed to take a seat at the bar, where the drinks were passed to us instead of being placed neatly on the table.

Unfortunately, this is the second time we've been disappointed in this restaurant. At first it took a relatively long time for our order to be taken. The drinks came to the table quickly but we had to wait longer for the food. When it finally came to the table, we unfortunately discovered that the burger patties were so cooked that it was not easy to cut or eat them. The fries were tasty though. If you're wondering why we didn't complain, it's simple: we were very hungry and the staff didn't seem like they would be happy if you talked to them. On the contrary, you could see the staff going out the door more often, even though there was NO outside dining. When it was cleared away, no one asked whether it was tasty. We finally ordered a hot chocolate, but it was only lukewarm. In short. After being disappointed twice, we will no longer visit this restaurant.

Yesterday I was at Hans im Glück for the first time I find the seating options very uncomfortable (hard as a board and no backrest) but that's how it has to be in the chain. We were seated, ordered, eaten and paid within 45 minutes. The waitress was always available - it almost seemed like they were looking for work. The toilets were very dirty, smelled unpleasant and even reaching the stairs for the toilets was very dirty. It is recommended to check the toilets every now and then, especially if there seem to be enough people present. The waitress tried too hard to make eye contact, which was very unpleasant - which is why I didn't want to mention the cleanliness. The homemade iced tea was very tasty but the vegetarian burger and fries were nothing special. We paid 50 euros for 2 burgers, 2 iced teas and a large portion of fries.

In the bright sunshine there is sauce on the tables and everything is set, unfortunately when we asked, there was no service outside. It's just meant to attract customers and show that it's open. What a shame! I would have liked to eat at Hans im Glück in the sun but not like that. So we're off again.

After a positive experience last year, we were looking forward to dining here again. However, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff insisted on seating us at a cramped table. When we politely requested to be seated elsewhere, our request was denied with the explanation that the staff would have to walk between the 2 sections. The distance was literally 5 meters - hardly an unreasonable distance. The staff member's dismissive attitude when we informed him we would be leaving was both unprofessional and disappointing. We ended up at a nearby restaurant where, in stark contrast, we were warmly invited to 'sit wherever we liked.'

Simply expensive doesn't taste good... the first one came and the other one came was very ready then my friend only got hers. Nothing was right, I ordered a coleslaw and it just came with side dishes of salad for 2 people almost 70€ 🤮

If you're willing to pay €6.50 for a sparkling water and wait about 30 minutes until you can order and another 60 minutes until the food arrives, you've come to the right place.

Very tasty food and the drinks were top. Despite the personal pass, the service was very present and read the guests' wishes. Very good service.

Everything was perfect! Friendly and quick service and as always it tasted very good. There is something for everyone, whether vegan or not. The decoration and ambience invite you to relax. I can only recommend it.

The burgers and fries were delicious. Especially the sweet potato fries were really good. The drinks were good too. I love the interior decoration, it feels like you are in a cosy forest cabin.

We had dinner as a family at "Hans im Glück" in Trier on a Saturday evening. I was there for the first time. The food was good, but I found that my burger was quite manageable for around 12.00 euros, and we also had a mix of normal fries and sweet potatoes. I also had a peach lime soda which was very refreshing and nice and cool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was served quickly. From the ambience you have to say, yes the first impression was cool with these tree trunks but for my taste everything was very cramped and we had a lot of small flies in the seating area. Would I come back again? I don't believe ! About 80 euros for 3 people, but it didn't blow me away.

Unfortunately, this Hans-im-Glück does not address food intolerances either. There are (a) no gluten-free buns, which is very sad, nor (b) did they accommodate our request to use a manufacturer-sealed gluten-free bun that we brought with us for the burger. It's sad that small burger restaurants can do it, but an actually good burger chain blows it so badly.

Nice decor, not a classic hamburger restaurant. Hamburgers, fries and salads are tasty. Only the service could be better, everything has to happen quickly. Your plate is already taken away, even if the others in the party are still eating. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR BILL. They charged us too much for a large wheat beer (€4.90). Commenting or asking for information about your bill (as a tourist) is not accepted!!

I would prefer to give 0 stars for service. Rarely have I been served so unfriendly and rude. Lg

We ate 2 burgers for lunch today and can only recommend the shop. The burgers were delicious, as were the sweet potato fries. We sat outside and only went in briefly to use the toilet. The ambience inside is mega!

So we would be there with 2 people 😉 Burger menu was TOP 👍 BUT we ordered 2 Aperol Spritz drinks for €7.20 each. To be honest, there was nothing in it 🤔 it tasted like nothing. We then complained about this to the waitress. But we got an answer from the waitress: I have that Didn't do it, I can't say anything about it.🫤To be honest, no one was actually interested.

We ate there yesterday with 7 people, two children and five adults. It was great. The food was great and really tasty, the children were also very happy and full and the little men enjoyed it too. The service took a lot of time to answer questions and the atmosphere there is just nice. We'd love to come back! :)

My girlfriend always wanted to eat at 'Hans im Glück' and so we went there during our trip to Trier. We hadn't made a reservation but were given a table at the counter, so we had our drinks quickly. Shortly after we placed our food order, the waitress came back and told us that salad was out and we had to order something else. And that's at 6:30 p.m., when the evening business really starts. So we picked something new and then the waiting began. We had ordered breadsticks with dip as a starter and waited forever - probably three quarters of an hour - but nothing happened. We then spoke to a waiter who asked in the kitchen and told us that our order had not arrived there. Our food would now be made as a priority and it should come soon. Unfortunately, the starter came directly with the main course, which we found very unfortunate. For the long wait, our drinks were on the house. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. However, we don't know whether we would come back again.

Ate there spontaneously with 8 adults and 4 children. Gladly again! 🙂

At almost 13 euros for a mediocre burger and 5 euros for a handful of fries...it was the first time there and certainly the last time.

Sorry, but that was nothing today. I got the wrong drinks several times, the salad crunched, the burgers were fried to death, the espresso came after 20 minutes and was cold. I had the impression that the waiters were overwhelmed! Too bad. But there are days like that...

You're actually not comfortable here, picnic tables with wobbly chairs. In addition, a large fries costs 10 euros, which are also too salty. The burgers are not of burger-restaurant quality. In other words, dry rolls, wilted lettuce, an onion ring and, if you're lucky, some tomato. The burger itself is quite affordable, but this starts from 10 euros per burger, and they are also on the small side. The sauces are on the table all day, including all day in the sun. Staff was quite nice, normal drinks are reasonably priced, but it is not a good burger restaurant.

First of all: I have visited several Hans im Glück restaurants in other cities and have always been impressed. Unfortunately we were very disappointed at Hans im Glück Trier. Only the ambience was great, as usual. We were there during lunchtime and the number of guests was manageable. However, it took over 15 minutes for our order to be taken when we asked. No waitress contacted us in advance or greeted us. The menus were on the table. The drinks (homemade lemonade and juice spritzer) were good. The burgers came relatively quickly, and we were quite shocked by them. The beef patties were obviously not fresh and had been on the grill for a while. They tasted warmed, chewy and salty. The topping was a disgrace. A single tomato, a small leaf of lettuce. From the outside you couldn't tell that different burgers were ordered. They looked the same and small. An absolute no-go and for us there is no difference to McDonalds and Burger King. What a shame! Our sides (fries and coleslaw) were good. We were also shocked by the fact that all the sauces were left outside in the blazing sun at 30 degrees! The bottles were already tarnished - we didn't want to eat any more of them. This urgently needs to be improved! We won't be coming back anymore...

Service and location is incredibly good. Limos are great, but the burgers... well, they're just small, overpriced burgers that taste identical in every branch. There is an extra point for the smallest Alibi fries portion in my Hans im Glück history.

It was our first time in Trier and we were craving burgers, which is why we chose Hans im Glück. Unfortunately, our visit was anything but satisfactory. First of all, my wife and son were in great inconvenience after eating as they vomited several times. Another drawback was the sauces, which were on the tables at a temperature of 26 degrees - that is simply unacceptable. The burgers were okay, but far too expensive for the quality offered. Another negative point was the waiter who constantly smoked his e-cigarette while serving the food. That seems unprofessional and inappropriate. On the positive side, the waitress was very nice, but unfortunately that couldn't save the overall experience. Overall, I can't recommend Hans im Glück and only give it 2 🌟

I go there often; I like the atmosphere. Yesterday, I went with a friend from Luxembourg, and the waiter was rude and disrespectful because we hadn’t booked. I didn’t know I had to! He could have just said, “No, we don’t accept you without a reservation,” but he was so mad and aggressive he didn’t even let me explain. It is shameful to have such lousy staff. If you are in a tourist region, you will always have tourists without reservations! We will never go back!👎👎👎

The food is really fantastic, there is so much choice and variation, and for a very reasonable price. The restaurant is so beautifully designed, you immediately feel at home.

For me, the food wasn't bad, but it was overpriced for the quality. The facility is more of a student bistro. Everything looks quaint but the seating is not for “old people”. It was a nice experience, but I can get more for the money elsewhere. To each his own.

Cappuccino tasty but a bit small cups. Iced tea available in different flavor combinations, very delicious. The burgers are very tasty... Both those with goat cheese and with cheese and bacon as well as the classic. The controls are a bit confusing and not always accessible. But there was also a lady serving who was very friendly and helpful. So yes. We were there for lunch and certainly had enough. Recommended.

Had the burger and can’t wait to go back for more. The burgers are delicious and don’t feel heavy and weighty. The lemonades and iced lemon tea are exactly what you need to wash down the delicious burger on a hot summer day! Also the people at the restaurant were so friendly and nice - made the experience even better!!

Popped in for lunch with my son. Great selection of food and the lunch menu is very reasonable. 5 Star service from our waiter - presumably the manager as he was wearing a shirt and seemed liked like the only one working who had any enthusiasm and energy. Everyone else seemed stuck in first gear which meant service was slow and cold (not untypical for German hospitality). Food was nice when it arrived. Would have liked to order an espresso (comes included with the lunch menu) but after waiting a while to be served and my son growing impatient, I gave up and asked for the bill. I was given an espresso for next time which was nice.

Hans is lucky in every place, the same and yet so different. The place lives with its employees. There is a special atmosphere here in Trier. One reason why I like being here is the food and everything around it.

Today I was in luck with Hans again after a long time and I am generally a satisfied customer. Unfortunately, the egg was forgotten in my burger on the first attempt, but the waiter brought it in a separate bowl when I asked. The mixed salad was well prepared, but could have used a little more variety (more onions, tomatoes, etc. and not just lettuce). I was most disappointed with the coffee crema. A. Coffee crema without a foam crown is not coffee crema, but filter coffee. Therefore a star deduction. Overall, the food was still delicious. Addendum after second visit: Big praise to the service manager who did everything she could today to ensure that I was able to stay for dinner (despite the card reader failing and no cash). The food today was also very tasty and everything was just right. I'd love to come back

Impossible😡 Nothing like this has ever happened to me!! A nice, young Frenchman was thrown out without being politely pointed out first because he ate a piece of pretzel that he had brought with him. Even though he had also ordered something! The waiter had absolutely no understanding and even the boss was unreasonable! I won't go here again

Wide choice of Hamburgers. Unfortunately, quite small burgers for the price by German standards. Classic Hamburger sparsely topped. Cheese and speck with a very thin slice of cheese, a drop of sauce and two small rings of onion. Fries very salty. Sauces are in full sunlight. Service wipes the table clean and with it the sugar on my group's lap. Shame. That must be possible better. The taste was ok though. But no more than that.

The bad rating comes about because unfortunately my stomach operation was not addressed at all. Due to an operation, large/normal portions are no longer edible and it was not possible to choose the children's menu. Thank God I still had friends who helped with the food. A children's menu would have been completely sufficient. Still, it's a shame and it's the last time here! To illustrate the amount of before and after plates.

The taste is okay, but you actually get far too little for the price. Didn't get full from a burger and fries. Very unfortunate.

We were with you in Corpus Christi around 7 p.m. We would have loved to have a cocktail in the beautiful atmosphere. But no chance. There was only one waiter responsible for the many tables. The people who had to wait at the door were not even noticed. The bartender was bored. No new orders came in. The ones that were finished sat on the tray forever. What can I say, after sitting around for a quarter of an hour, we went next door.

Burger lukewarm and really not good. Service was unbelievable arrogant. Burgerhouse or Burgeramt are significantly better.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have to wait long. Burgers were tasty, we didn't get tired of eating them, as it often may be when you're eating a burger, but it could be because they were not that big. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick dinner. When it's warm it's possible to sit outside with a nice view of Porta Nigra.

In itself a stylish shop with an interesting menu concept. My burger was juicy and tasty, the size was ok but it shouldn't have been a gram less! The fries were very few but also good. Mayo and so on are included on the table. The service was as expected and ok. I didn't find the so-called "seating furniture and tables" particularly exciting, they were quite fragile, uncomfortable and ugly on top of that! The seating is very narrow and small. A pleasant surprise is the sanitary facilities, very clean and visually something different, but 5*

We went into the restaurant and sat down. Maybe it was a mistake on our part that we didn't wait until we were placed. It still wouldn't have been a problem to just tell us to sit somewhere else or to please wait next time. We were consistently ignored, even though all the employees saw us and it wasn't full. It's a shame because it was my first time in Trier and it was the first restaurant we went to. We then left without having the opportunity to order anything; the waiting time was too long for us. 2 stars because the food at Hans und Glück was actually always very good. At least in other cities.

The main course was great, the dessert was a disaster. I find the atmosphere very appealing and will be back soon. The service needs to be done something. You get the impression that they are all flirting with each other rather than taking care of the guests. Unfortunately it's too far away otherwise I would come more often because I really like the atmosphere.

Unfortunately very full and not enough staff. Nevertheless, you could enjoy the food, everything was great.

Overpriced micro apple strudel & overloaded service, which confirmed that all Hans-im-Glück strudels have to be so small... . From the start we were told clearly that there wasn't enough staff and that the drinks would only be processed once the other six tables had also placed their orders. The more time it takes for explanations, the longer it will take and you have to be prepared for long waiting times. As a guest you didn't really feel welcome... hopefully visitors from abroad are treated more friendly.

Unfortunately the service was very poor during our visit. Whenever we wanted to reorder something, we had to flag down a waitress several times. Of three women's toilets, one was locked, one was overflowing and one looked like shit.
