Everything was great – as always. We go here almost every time we're in Trier, and it's always perfect. The selection is fantastic, especially the vegan and vegetarian options. Everything tastes amazing, and the service is incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back here next time we're in Trier.

They have delicious burgers here, and the staff is very friendly and fast. The ambiance is typical for the chain, with a birch forest theme. All burgers are also available in a vegetarian version upon request; they will definitely be happy to advise you on this.

I went to Hans im Glück today and I have to say, the food was really good. The burger was a bullseye – juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. You don't find a burger like that everywhere. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. I'll definitely be back.

I've been here several times now and have also ordered through Lieferando and had it delivered. The food has always tasted good, but the fries were sometimes a bit damaged during delivery. Aside from the food itself, the interior is nice and the staff are always friendly.

What I received was an absolute disgrace. I ordered smoky cheddar sweet potato fries for €10.90 (see picture) and regular side fries (see picture) for €4.90 along with a Classic Burger for €11.90 via Uber Eats – and what arrived was a bad joke. Two stars for the food are fair, since the Classic Burger was edible. Charging such tiny portions at such exorbitant prices is already outrageous enough – but then to deliver these soggy, cold fries? That was the moment I had to laugh out loud. It was the absolute limit. Lesson learned: Never again. Period. And for a restaurant that calls itself "Lucky Hans": With food like that, you feel more like "Unlucky Hans."

Very nice atmosphere. Clean restaurant. Expensive food for what it is. €12.90 for just a green salad with a few pumpkin seeds on it... A whole package of this salad costs 79 cents at Netto... The burger tasted good, but the walnut patty was really greasy. Otherwise, friendly service. Conclusion: Simple food too expensive. Therefore, not really recommended.

The accommodations were beautiful, but the service was disappointing. She brought the wrong order, and it took 20 minutes for the correct drink to arrive. When I confronted her, she got even more angry. I paid for the remaining drinks and left. We never got around to eating. No reason to return!

The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. 🍔✨ Even though it took a little while, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming – they even gave us a voucher for a "Lausbub" dessert as an apology, which we thought was a really thoughtful touch. Our waitress, Celine (we got her name from the bill), was especially friendly and attentive, and her open personality made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for relaxing – and the cocktails are highly recommended! 🍹 All in all, a fantastic evening; we'll definitely be back. 💚

A very bad waitress named Jenni, very rude to the customers, complains to everyone and comments on every little thing. We had to stand and wait for half an hour until she came, and she still yelled at us. While we were ordering, she was very annoyed and couldn't even look friendly. Someone urgently needs to do something about this; this can't go on!! Very, very bad service from her!!

October 1, 2021. Four of us were there. We had three dinners, one of which was just a burger with a drink. When my burger was brought, I pointed out to the waitress that the salad wasn't part of my meal. She said, "Okay, then I'll give it to you, it's a compliment from the kitchen." (Great) When I had eaten half of it, she came back to the table and apologized, saying, "I have to take the salad away from you." (Half of it had already been eaten.) She had apparently received the order from the team leader. I wouldn't have had the salad removed even if it hadn't been touched. The waitress was put in an embarrassing situation by the team leader. The team leader made a fool of herself, and the whole thing didn't make the restaurant look good. Hence, only one star (otherwise, it would have been five!) Let's get to the point: The service was very friendly, and the food was good.

The restaurant is right by the Porta Nigra, making it a great location. The ambiance is also top-notch. The bar is quite nice, and the distinctive Hans im Glück birch trees quickly make you feel at home. Unfortunately, the kitchen was out of food (at 3:20 p.m.). We were told it would take about an hour. The food and drinks at every Hans im Glück restaurant are top-notch. Therefore, my assessment is that it's recommended to visit a Hans im Glück restaurant, but especially that you should call ahead.

The Hercules Burger didn't come with a proper gyro or tzatziki. The meat looked pressed. The free ouzo was only brought upon request. The bill was incorrect. The service was rude. "You ordered the wrong thing."

It's comparable to Peter Pane. The food was okay, but I found it too expensive: two burgers with fries and a drink for €43.

We had a reservation and got a nice seat. We found the food very tasty. I like the burger without bread, with plenty of fresh salad.

Was waiting for about 5 minutes and eventually asked a passing waiter if we could be seated. He said no as they only had two waiters and they had to do some clean up first. We said ok, no problem, and continued to wait. 10 minutes later another waiter came and told us to sit anywhere, we asked if we could sit outside and he made a displeased face but said ok, so we sat outside. About 5 minutes after that a third waiter came and told us they couldn't serve anyone else until 3 o'clock for some reason, it was about 2:45 at this point so we gave up and left. What a waste of our time!

Hans im Glück at the Porta Nigra consistently stands out with excellent service and incredibly delicious dishes and drinks. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, taking good care of all guests. The updated menu is well-organized and has something for everyone. Everything is reasonably priced. The wait time was acceptable.

We had such a delicious meal here that we even went back again during our trip. The peach-lime iced tea was definitely our favorite. The ambiance was also super nice thanks to the restaurant's decor. If we're ever in Trier again, we'll definitely be back.

We ate there last night. And it was a disaster, and I've never given that kind of review before. At first, we were repeatedly ignored, but then finally served. The pretty young lady took our order, and the drinks arrived promptly. Then nothing for a while. Then the burgers arrived without a word, unfortunately without any side dishes. When we asked a short time later, it turned out that the fries hadn't been taken. They assured us they would be delivered soon. That, too, unfortunately, didn't work out. So we paid for our meal half-full and left the restaurant. Summary: Overwhelmed waiters, mediocre burgers, rather poorly presented, and overpriced. I've also been a customer at Hans im Glück in other cities, where the package was much better.

I waited 10 minutes for my order to be taken, even though there were hardly any customers on the terrace. The wait staff was busy making small talk. The non-alcoholic wheat beer I ordered turned into a pilsner. The burger arrived on a stained plate (see photo) – without cutlery or a side salad. Both were only served upon request. No one came to pay at first either. I then went into the dining room... The tasty burger and the pleasant ambiance unfortunately don't make up for the poor service. There's definitely room for improvement – at least 2 stars.
