Friendly and fast service, delicious vegan burgers + fries!

Good food and affordable. There is a lot of choice, even for vegetarians. In addition, a lot of attention has been paid to the design of the restaurant. Highly recommended

went there a month ago but the server was funny and kind, the place looked pretty cool. the food was delicious, i had ordered some burger and it fell apart while eating. probably my fault tho, but it was yummy

We ate here with an online voucher book. Service was very nice, recommended well. The burgers came with very tasty side dishes, which of course also had their price. But there was a burger for free. I didn't know that Hans im Glück was a chain store. But would go again.

Everything tasted great, although the chicken breast was a bit dry. The service was super friendly and helpful.

The service was abysmal. It took forever for someone to come and order (it was between 4 and 5 p.m. and not particularly busy). When the waitress finally arrived, she was quite arrogant and unfriendly. After our meal, our 3-year-old daughter wanted another scoop of ice cream, but when it didn't arrive even after a long wait, we decided to cancel the order and get it from somewhere else. A different waitress then replied rather rudely that the ice cream was already ready in the kitchen. I'm a trained hotel manager myself and have worked in the restaurant industry for a long time; that's completely unacceptable. The least I could have done was apologize and bring the bill without arguing. (I would have brought the ice cream out and taken it off the bill.) The food didn't blow us away, but it was okay. I have no idea what the hiring criteria are at Hans im Glück, but I would reconsider them.

In itself it is delicious and as you are used to at Hans im Glück... but when ordering, the conversation was so clever that the additions/extra requests were almost forced, even though they cost extra, and it was acted as if they were part of the menu. I didn't like that at all and so I didn't give a tip when they tried to take money out of my pocket like that.

Been there several times, super friendly and very attentive service, no long waiting times, vegan food is great, there are menu options, dogs very welcome, nothing to complain about, will definitely come back

Nice atmosphere... I was there in the afternoon... Really good fries...also seasoned just right. The vegetarian burger could be convincing... The meat version is not at all. The patty...i.e. the meat is the problem. TK factory goods... weight yes, that's ok. But the taste is more than neutral... Drinks are much too expensive and the menu offer at a "savings price" meal for 50 euros is simply too much for lunch. Everyone else can do that better, fresher and with enthusiastic staff that didn't have any love for their work here. I regretted the visit and will switch back to the burger joint with homemade minced meat. I felt like I was being pulled away. Bankruptcy or not...why should I pay that when something better is waiting for me within walking distance?

I always find this place really cozy. Decent food, the staff is very welcoming and nice. Dogs are allowed as well. We had the lunch special which goes with any burger. Definitely recommend.

We didn't get any food at all, we were completely ignored for 30 minutes and after we asked if we could order, after another 5 minutes someone came to serve the two at the table next door who had just come in 2 minutes before. When I went out I warned those waiting that it would take forever and then all 6 left. This disrespectful behavior cost you 8 times your sales.

Had dinner there yesterday, we were greeted very nicely and pointed out that many of the staff were sick and it might take a while. Which of course isn't a problem. It is cozy and modernly furnished. The food is okay but nothing special. Everything was delivered quickly and without much waiting. After dinner we went out for a smoke and when we came back to the table everything had been cleared away even though the drinks weren't empty. Up until then everything was great and it called for a repeat, but clearing away drinks that aren't empty isn't an option. Too bad

I've been here many times and so far everything has been great, this time the service was very unfriendly and didn't let us redeem a voucher afterwards. And after the vegan chicken burger we didn't feel well at all...

Sometimes, they made small mistakes in our order, and we got different buns, but hey, no big deal. The food was super delicious, and for a small eater like me, I ate everything. The second best burger ever.

We went there for lunch with our children today and ordered a lunch menu, two children's menus and a salad + drink. We were later billed for 3 lunch menus + salad and drink for €10 more than we originally ordered. When we asked, we were told that the two menus had been eaten by our children and that we should have complained beforehand. Sorry! But as a guest/layperson I find it really absurd to have to know how big portions should be, apart from the fact that they were definitely small children's burgers! In addition, the children's food came very late, after we had almost finished our meal. The fact that a service staff can make a mistake when placing an order is not the problem here, but that it is blamed on the customer and there was no sign of any insight or goodwill on the part of the restaurant management. That was our last visit there today. Food was okay, ambience is very nice. One star because unfortunately zero stars are not possible!

Rude waitress, all of the staff ignored us for around 10 minutes, and when she finally talked to us, she said they don't actually accept walk-ins today, and we can wait for at least an hour or two for a table for 2 people. Food was good. Found the burgers a bit small for the price. Side dish was rich and good. The service was nice, but the service was zero. Time until the food came was average. In between, zero service. The waitress came to take the order, payment and that was it. Ambience is like that. In any case, where we sat, you sit back to back with other guests without boundaries. As I said, the burger was good, but nothing exceptional.

“Incredibly rude! The cashier actually insinuated that I didn't have money to pay for my meal. I've never experienced anything so disrespectful. Instead of just doing his job, I was exposed and treated condescendingly. Absolutely unacceptable! Someone like that shouldn't be working with customers. I'll never come to this store again! Toni was his name!

Burgers and ambience were fine as usual, service and friendliness very poor! It was worth a try, we won't be coming back. Better to eat a bratwurst in the pedestrian zone! That would have saved us a lot of time. P.S...our table next door still doesn't have any drinks!

The staff is quite unpleasant, on the one hand, we did not know German and we were trying to communicate in English, the super rude waiter made no effort to understand us or at least answer us in English, and we decided not to leave a tip, which made the waiter behave even worse. The food was simple, the burgers were not very good, there are much better places. It is a place that I recommend not visiting.

Update Nov. 2024: The “restart” has not yet been successful! Unfortunately, the new staff doesn't make the burgers as juicy as before, but they are generally very tasty. BUT: the new self-booking portal on the Internet works extremely poorly - searching for food and drinks sometimes doesn't work, and "an error has occurred" often appears - but what doesn't work or what you may have selected incorrectly is not displayed ATTENTION: only card payment Nov 2023 Unfortunately “only” burgers but vegetarians and vegans will also find something good here

Good food and nice atmosphere, if a little loud. Good set meal with burger, fries and cocktail and lots of choices of them all.

You are asked to leave the beautiful seats without any explanation and this is a disaster in terms of time.

Food was ok and service was very slow.

Once again we experienced totally unmotivated service. Have a good time looking past you. It took 20 minutes until we could pay even though there was hardly any traffic. The first service wasn't responsible, the second one only came when we demonstratively put on our jackets. Too bad.

The food was very good, the restaurant, like all restaurants in this chain, was very nice, but the staff was unfortunately too cool to work. Are more concerned with themselves than with their guests. We waited a little over a quarter of an hour to order, the food came very quickly, the service was very very snippy and we had been waiting for the bill for 20 minutes. The toilet was an absolute disaster, no soap, everything peed and dirty. The waitress, a young Asian woman who can hardly look straight ahead because of her beauty and arrogance, was pointed out by several guests, took note of it and said there was nothing she could do about it. Embarrassingly embarrassing. Awkward.

Easily borders on fraud! We have on November 10th. placed an order via Uber. Delivery time 40 minutes, after 25 minutes the bell rang and the Uber courier delivered the food - but a completely wrong order! A call to Hans im Glück in Trier was quickly ironed out, they can't do anything, they send me the receipt and I'm supposed to see how I get my food or have the order refunded by Uber - a bottomless impudence - a real juice shop! A chargeback at my savings bank is not possible, so after a long search I have now found a way to contact Uber support. Above the topic "Refund order" came the message that they can no longer refund anything and that I should contact you directly next time. So Hans luckily earned 43 EUR from us without them having performed their job! Great service!

Service was super slow. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, we had to wait 35 mins just to order. The food was good, we had 3 burgers. Truffle fries were yummy. But everything took them way too much time. Even to bring just one cup of coffee!

We were there for the first time today and will definitely come back. The service tried very hard to find us a suitable table with a small child and was very accommodating. We thought the selection of food was great and what we ordered was really tasty! We definitely liked the burgers better than the fries, which were fine. The ambience is really great and definitely invites you to linger. Another plus: the changing room is very clean and well-equipped.

The hamburgers were very good, but very overpriced at €12.50, but the extremely nice staff made up for it. The constant loud blast of techno music was cruel, it spoiled our taste...

The burger today was unfortunately substandard. Dry brioche bun, fried burger, little toppings. Normally the burgers are reasonably balanced and not too heavy! Hope this is temporary... Service was top and delicious drinks/lemonades

There was nothing wrong with the service, nice and friendly staff, we were served quickly. In contrast to other “Hans im Glück”, the food disappointed us this time. The salad wasn't quite fresh anymore, the corn on the cob and the burger weren't really warm, which was a shame.

Location: Located in the city center, almost on the Potra Nigra. So no parking spaces available. Service: When I asked which manufacturer would be behind the beer. The waiter said: "A Pilsner" and he didn't know anything else and I should ask another waiter. 🙈 okay The rest of the service was friendly, it only stalled again when it came to advice on what to combine with what. (was there for the first time) Eat: Yes, it was okay, but really nothing special. Since I really like eating burgers, it was just average. The sauces on the table are a plus. In many restaurants you can only get them pre-packaged or for an additional charge. 👍 Price-performance: Let's be honest, it's a chain, so prices are higher and you get less. Burger 🍔 + fries 🍟 + drink = you can get larger burgers elsewhere for over €20. Ambiance: The chain, birch trunks and a lot of wood look are the same in every store. But it seems very modern. Honestly "Looks good 🤙👈"

If you have a child with you, you don't even have to wait until a table becomes available. Simply people were treated unworthily and disgustingly at the entrance!

Hot chocolate was lukewarm. Chocolate milk is served in a small cup, they charge €3.90 for this. The outside of the cup was completely dirty from the chocolate milk. They do nothing with the complaint. The floor was very dirty and greasy, be careful not to slip to go to the toilet. Toilet was dirty, no more paper to dry your hands. Paid for drinks and went to eat somewhere else. Too bad about his case. It is so beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately, this is the second time we've been disappointed in this restaurant. At first it took a relatively long time for our order to be taken. The drinks came to the table quickly but we had to wait longer for the food. When it finally came to the table, we unfortunately discovered that the burger patties were so cooked that it was not easy to cut or eat them. The fries were tasty though. If you're wondering why we didn't complain, it's simple: we were very hungry and the staff didn't seem like they would be happy if you talked to them. On the contrary, you could see the staff going out the door more often, even though there was NO outside dining. When it was cleared away, no one asked whether it was tasty. We finally ordered a hot chocolate, but it was only lukewarm. In short. After being disappointed twice, we will no longer visit this restaurant.

Yesterday I was at Hans im Glück for the first time I find the seating options very uncomfortable (hard as a board and no backrest) but that's how it has to be in the chain. We were seated, ordered, eaten and paid within 45 minutes. The waitress was always available - it almost seemed like they were looking for work. The toilets were very dirty, smelled unpleasant and even reaching the stairs for the toilets was very dirty. It is recommended to check the toilets every now and then, especially if there seem to be enough people present. The waitress tried too hard to make eye contact, which was very unpleasant - which is why I didn't want to mention the cleanliness. The homemade iced tea was very tasty but the vegetarian burger and fries were nothing special. We paid 50 euros for 2 burgers, 2 iced teas and a large portion of fries.
