In the meantime, a real love-hate relationship has developed between me and Daddy's, the best burger joint in the world. The last ten (!) times I wanted to go, the line was so long that I turned around in frustration. Sure, a long queue speaks for quality - and Daddys delivers quality at the highest burger level. The team loves what they do and you can taste it in every bite. But what good is the best burger joint if I can never get my burger?! It's like my favorite food ghosted me. I've even stopped trying regularly because the disappointment is just too great. And yet - nothing, really nothing, comes close to the taste of Daddy's. Before I had a burger here for the first time, I wasn't even a big burger fan. I ate one maybe once a year, more out of a sense of duty. But then came this one burger, this one moment - and it was over for me. Love at first bite. Since then I have tried many burger joints. Most of the time I was disappointed. There were also a few good alternatives, of course. But honestly? Nobody does it like daddies. And now? Now I'm standing in front of closed doors, or rather in front of an endlessly long queue. My heart is broken. But what should I do? ⭐ Give 1 star because Daddys no longer has room for me in his life? No! ⭐⭐ Give 2 stars because I'm sad and annoyed? Never! ⭐⭐⭐ Gave 3 stars because we had good times and bad times? Nope! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 stars because he basically left me at the altar? Never!!! I'm giving it 5 stars because this place does everything right - and I still have to recommend everyone to eat here. And another pro tip: Don’t forget the chicken wings! Actually, I'm not much of a burger fan and only went there for the sake of my boyfriend because he loves burgers. But I have to say, the burgers are just really, really awesome. Nice and crispy and great to eat. Plus the cool ambience - simply great. Definitely coming back!

Many people have recommended this store to me. So I was basically forced to test it. My conclusion: “Simply eat from another dimension” There are many burger restaurants, but I couldn't have imagined such quality. The rush of customers is enormous, the restaurant has to be bigger. So for those who don't have patience, it's better to take the food with you. The atmosphere is rustic with lots of details on the walls. I can't rate the service that well since I didn't eat there. But I was greeted and served very friendly at reception. Price is now a matter of fact, I found the price very decent +-15€ burger + 6 chicken wings +-10€. Yes, it's fast food, but so full-bodied and tasty, the price is justified. But I always recommend having a side dish because I don't think the burger alone fills you up.

The staff was very unfriendly. We had to wait on the street even though there were still tables available. Normally we would have driven straight away again. But it doesn't matter now. After 15 minutes we were allowed into the restaurant. My first question was whether they also had a crispy burger. A stupid answer to that. (we're not in the McDonald's here) The burgers 🍔 weren't bad, just too small for this price. Wanted to eat another one. Then the answer again. (sold out at 7 p.m.) great. Never again . Since the waitress no longer came to the table, there were no more drinks. Great service

Everything just fits here. Top service, super cool people and an in-house pale ale on tap. What more could you want?!

The food was great, the service was great and totally friendly, unfortunately the shop is a bit small but the visit was still great. Prices are definitely too cheap for the good quality. I would pay more for such good food. We'll definitely be back.

You should be there on time. Waiting in line has to be planned for. The burger was one of the best of the last decade. Rest is okay. The donut beer is fancy but not tasty. The shop is definitely worth the visit. It was awesome.

We spent nearly half an hour waiting for a table, but we didn't regret it at all, and it was worth every second. Very friendly staff. Very tasty food. Definitely, we will go back.

Cheeseburger: I really haven't had a better one. Burger of the month: It was also tasty, but it didn't completely blow me away. The meat was perfect twice, but my colleague's burger was completely done. The Buns are definitely in a league of their own. Prices are high because the burgers are really small. I needed two pieces including fries and was just about full. Unfortunately, all three craft beers were not available on the menu. The sour was still very tasty. Service was very nice, unfortunately something went wrong with the order. To be fair, a burger was on the house. It wasn't perfect, but I still recommend it.

After all the hype, my girlfriend and I decided to try out Daddy in Trier. Our expectations were accordingly high. After about 20 minutes of waiting in front of the shop we got a table. This one had been squeezed into a corner. In general, you get the feeling that you want to squeeze in as many tables as possible in the small shop. But good. The menu and selection of burgers is a bit confusing but definitely appealing. I ordered the “Oklahoma Smashed” and my girlfriend wanted the burger of the month. To our surprise, it was already out (at 4:00 p.m.). Alternatively she took the “Good & Proper” with “Fries Cajun Style” So far so good. We sat right next to the open kitchen in front of the food counter. The waiting time until the food came was about 50 minutes. Far too long for “just” burgers with fries. The very nice waitresses aren't really on their toes here either. We also watched as my friend's burger and fries sat in the serving area for at least 15-20 minutes until my food was ready. That's why this meal was just lukewarm. In terms of taste, the food was good overall, but far from outstanding or exceptional. The Cajun Fries were also rather over-seasoned. In addition, the portions were not particularly large. Here you can easily make 2 burgers if you're hungry. Finally, it has to be said that the food is not that great, which would justify the long waiting times.

The food is great, there is no better burger!!! The service was outstanding and took a lot of time for us and was extremely courteous, kind and more than competent. Whether vegetarian or with meat, the quality really blows you away and there is also freshly tapped beer 🤤 An absolute must-do when you are in Trier! Were there yesterday, 2 hours drive. The shop was closed, company holidays. No reference to Instagram, Google, called, line busy. No mailbox, nothing.

Perfectly delivered. Wonderfully communicative people, helpful and a suggestion for every taste. Great, tasty burgers. And quote my daughter “the best chicken wings I have ever eaten”.

Excellent hamburger shop, I recommend everyone to go there. The only flaw is the opening hours considering that they are closed 3 days of the week. Fantastic venue!

Three of us went to Daddy's on Saturday and had an Oklahoma Smash, the OG and a truffle burger. What can I say - for me it's currently the best burger shop in Germany, after trying the competition in Berlin, Frankfurt and elsewhere. You can taste the quality and love that goes into the products. The team was very friendly and open and matched the food that was delivered. 5 out of 5

In my opinion one of the best burger restaurants in the world! The quality of the burgers and fries is extremely good. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. You are served very quickly and don't have to wait long for your food. The whole thing is underlined by the NYC ambience and you feel like you're on vacation. Everything that is served there is first class! Fries, wings & burgers! This also applies to the people who work there. Word has gotten around and that's why the waiting times are a different story. 2.5 hours for a burger at a random time like Saturday at 4 p.m. is really long.

After trying Goldies in Berlin and Hob's in Hamburg - two burger joints that are very hyped - I just had to visit Der Daddy, especially since I live close by. The cheeseburger was really outstanding, the taste was just perfect. The special burger, currently a raclette burger, also sounded incredibly tasty. Compared to the other hyped burger joints, “Der Daddy” is in a completely different league. Despite all the praise, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the fries. Given the high standard of the burgers and the quality products used, I would have expected the fries to be homemade. Unfortunately it was frozen food - but not the cheapest kind. It took about 10-15 minutes from ordering to enjoying, even though the place was full at the time. I was lucky to arrive just before 12pm during the week and was just able to get a spot at the counter as there are no reservations. When I left the store there were at least 10-15 people waiting outside to get a seat - during the week mind you. I have to be honest: the burger probably wouldn't have been worth standing in the cold for 30 minutes to get in - as good as it was. There are plenty of equivalent alternatives in Trier and the surrounding area, even if they don't offer burgers.

I always find it great to eat out here as there is a wide variety of products and there really is something for everyone. The possibilities are, as just mentioned, very large. There are also variants for vegetarians/vegans. The atmosphere is very nice and you feel comfortable. Always my pleasure!!

The Holle Burger was very good, but a burger like that for €10 doesn't fill you up at all. You are forced to take fries that were also interesting and good. In the end, the price was okay, almost everyone voluntarily tips again (apparently everyone has too much money). Overall a great experience, despite a 45 minute wait.

Update: We visited the store again. There were two of us and we were the first 6 people to enter the restaurant right at the opening at 5 p.m. We were assigned the bar table. We strongly asked for a normal seating option (sitting). Our express wish was denied. We lined up long before the store opened just so we could stand again at the end. In the catering industry, the principle “customer is king” should be lived out, especially if they face hurdles (long journeys, queuing, etc.). This seems to be about maximum profit and not about the well-being of the customer. It's a shame, that was our last visit here. _______________ A solid burger shop in the heart of Trier. The ingredients are all very fresh and coordinated. There is a lot of sophistication behind the concept. We had different burgers and fries. Everything was very tasty and you can tell that the ladies and gentlemen have mastered their craft. The burger makes it into my top 3, however it's not the best burger I've ever had, but it's definitely the best within 150km. You should be there on time and definitely bring some time with you. Price/performance is fair.

The (avoid) food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the actually laudable system of “only as much as available” works poorly. We were one of the first in the evening and there was no more “burger of the month”. Supposedly sold out by lunchtime. Since we were lured by advertising, went there yesterday and were at the door at 4:40 p.m., we were correspondingly disappointed...

It was just very, very cool here and the burgers are simply the perversion at it's best🥰😍🤙🏼 If you like the combination of peanut butter and jam, you definitely have to try the “Elvis P.” try out. I’m a student who’s in trier for one night and I was looking for some places to eat, especially after a rough and long busride. I came out at der daddy’s a burgerrestaurant, even so I’m not a huge fan of burgers the interior and photos intrigued me. I ordered the classic American cheeseburger with classic fries and oml they were amazing. Thank you so much for the great service and for making my day with such good food.

After waiting 20 minutes in line, the craving grows louder. You finally step inside, take a seat, and anticipate devouring what you hope will be an amazing burger. Your muscles are screaming for protein. The burger arrives, and for a moment, you just stare at it, wondering how you’ll conquer something so perfect. Then you decide to destroy it, just like your workout—but with a little more care and a lot more pleasure. That first bite… wow. Take me back to that first bite. Amazing burger joint, great vibe, lovely staff, and an unforgettable experience. I absolutely destroyed and enjoyed the Der Dirty Double. Highly recommended!

I've been a guest there for years. Simply very good quality throughout, with love for the product. Daddy is now rightly considered one of the best burger restaurants in Germany. I also recently discovered chicken wings. The ones from August were the best I've ever eaten. There are also Bitburgers on tap.

Wir waren zu dritt in diesem wirklich ausgezeichneten Burger Laden. Es war ein Samstag und wir sind zum Glück schon um 11:40 Uhr dort gewesen, da stand schon eine längere Schlange. Öffnungszeit war 12:00 Uhr. Viertel vor hat man uns reingelassen. Super professioneller Service. Essen Bestellungen wurden schnell aufgenommen Und auch schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Die Burger sind brutal gut, Pommes auch, besser geht es kaum. Dazu kommt halt der super Service. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist okay. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man in Trier ist. Es standen übrigens die ganze Zeit noch Leute vor der Tür, die auf Einlass gewartet haben.

Absolutely the best burgers I've ever eaten. (I had the Oklahoma and the OG, both absolutely great) The fries were also very strong, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. For me, this no longer falls under the “burger” category, it’s on a level of its own. The price is also absolutely great.

Given that you are a little further out, it would be fair to calculate the opening times or the quantity so that you can offer customers something to eat. You have to be very lucky to get a place, there must be a reason for that? Yesterday I was at Daddy's with a friend whose favorite was the Burgeramt. Now his favorite is Daddy and he certifies that it is significantly better quality. We both loved the burgers and fries and are looking forward to our next visit.

After a long time with daddy again. You always plan for the waiting time right from the start. It was ok too. But the quality of the burgers has decreased significantly in my opinion. When I order a burger that costs 15 euros and then receive a dry Erwas, I wish I could go back to my daddy's early days. In the past you couldn't have enough napkins at the table, the burgers were so juicy and well topped. Today's burger of the month was very dry and carelessly designed. If there are chanterelles on the burger, there should be a little more than 2 fragments. The burger looked really great on the menu. Unfortunately only in the picture.

Tried the oklahoma smash& now I believe the hype.

Wir waren mit zwei Kindern unterwegs und kamen kurz nach der Mittagsöffnungszeit im Laden an und es waren schon recht viele Tische besetzt. Wir wurden super nett vom Daddy begrüßt, direkt einen Tisch zugewiesen. Obwohl der Daddy die meiste Zeit draußen mit seinen eigenen Kindern beschäftigt war und andere Kinder auf der Straße gleich mit entertaint hat und kurz danach auch weg war, lief alles super. Die Mädels im Service waren echt auf Zack und auch unsere Burger kamen schnell und waren lecker. Die Burger sind nicht die größten, für uns und die Kinder jedoch ausreichend und vor allem saftig. Gute Atmosphäre im Laden, passendes Ambietent für einen Burgerladen. Einziger Minuspunkt waren die Pommes, die beim Kinderburger dabei waren.
