Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right.
The three of us were in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. To be honest, I'm conflicted. On the one hand the food was tasty, on the other hand all the dishes were quite small. And since we chose the restaurant based on the information that it was the best Japanese restaurant in Mainz, we were rather disappointed.
Yes, it's all fresh and the quality isn't lacking, but my "large" tuna rolls were of a normal size and only getting four of them for a relatively high price was a bit of a shame. It was the first time I regretted not ordering the combination offered at a sushi restaurant. Because only there did the price-performance ratio seem to be at least approximately right.
We made a reservation and that was really necessary because the store was super full. And when we tried to come half an hour before, our table was still occupied. But I personally didn't find it extremely loud or uncomfortable and the service handled the number of guests relatively well. Even if you had to wait a relatively long time for the ice cream in the end.
All in all not bad, but somehow not good either, just mediocre, so 4 stars overall.
The food had red markings all over it because the worker had to do 'side tasks' that involved touching ink and other non sanitary stuff. Instead of changing to new, clean, gloves they instead kept serving the customers and therefore touching food.
The portions are getting smaller and when asked nicely to redo it, we were dismissed with "that's the tortilla, that's normal" and "we're stressed, please leave". Ignoring the red parts of the now mini sized tostado, the food was okay.
Since the change of ownership, the quality has deteriorated significantly. The service is ok, but seems overwhelmed. Moussaka had no eggplant, "garlic bread" was garlic butter bagutte from the supermarket/metro that was briefly fried. Bifteki soggy and not tasty. It's a shame, Naxos used to be the best Greek restaurant in Mainz. Also, €100 for two adults and two small children is very expensive, even in the city center.
EDITED TO ACCOMMODATE THE HOST:
This restaurant used to be excellent value for money. Since the alleged change of ownership, however, I feel that the quality has deteriorated significantly.
The place was uncomfortably cool, as were the plates, so that the food was only served just acceptably warm. The salad dressing tasted watery and the gyro was partially burnt. Unfortunately, I can no longer find a receipt as proof of my visit.
It's a shame: the pleasant smell behind the rattan panel to the left of the building was particularly inviting.
I won't eat here anymore.

THE CONTRIBUTION HAS BEEN ADJUSTED TO ACCOMMODATE THE BUSINESS.
However, I don't want to leave his comments unanswered because, in my view, they do not accurately nuance the facts. I therefore comment in detail as follows:
> "....extra large plate...": The size of the plate and the portion corresponded to a normal portion - neither larger nor smaller than that of the other guests.
> "...with a double side dish on the house...": When ordering, fries were requested as a side dish, but potato slices were served instead. The fries were added later, while the originally served potato slices, which would otherwise have been thrown away anyway, were left at no extra charge.
> "...completely devoured within a few minutes, so that the plate was almost shiny, you just can't take it seriously.": The potato slices were hot, while the gyros and fries were only served just acceptably warm. It had to be eaten quickly in order to avoid further cooling and thus impairing the enjoyment. The fries cooled down quickly and were therefore only partially eaten.
> "Everyone is allowed to have their opinion. But that they then go public...": This is exactly the point of reviews - to openly express and share a personal, not necessarily positive opinion.
> "and add untruths to support your opinion": Given my clarifications here, I think the term "untruths" is inappropriate and problematic.
> "...they have been to me countless times.": This statement is simply wrong. While my companion has visited your restaurant several times (and also complained about the temperature and taste), it was only my second time visiting this restaurant.
> "This can be detrimental to one's existence, and we will defend ourselves against it.": In view of my corrections mentioned above, I would like to ask the innkeeper for a concrete explanation as to which of my statements are considered "untrue" or "damaging to one's existence". This is especially true given the numerous positive reviews of the restaurant. If reasons are given that indicate that individual points in my original or edited review may not be appropriate, I am of course prepared to comment again and adjust the review if necessary.
Small restaurant but very quick service and our food was delicious. I recommend the spring roll, dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, and the noodles. We grabbed it to go after leaving the airport and will do so again.
I was very disappointed with my durum purchase. The bread was completely burnt, making the entire durum inedible. To my regret, the burnt bread was not replaced. This experience was extremely frustrating and I hope that more emphasis will be placed on the quality of the products in the future.
Delicious Korean homemade meals. We went there at 8pm on a Sunday. We were welcomed by a nice couple.
The place is decorated with cute Korean dolls and decoration. We chose a cute table for 2 in the corner.
We ordered Dogani Tang and Sundubu, which were delicious. Each meal is included with a side dish and a bowl of rice.
Afterwards, I asked if they have a birthday candle or birthday cake. The lady owner kindly gave us 2 cups of ice cream on the house.
We will definitely come again.
We often order delivery there. We like this pizza very, very much. Good ingredients, delicious dough and always crispy despite the cardboard packaging. The salad is also great. Highly recommended. Keep it up...
Was there for the second time and the food is very good. Portions could be a little larger but with a starter it is more than enough. The service is very nice and attentive. I'll definitely go there again.
We have ordered from Da Pietro several times and have always been satisfied. Today, however, I was very disappointed because the pizzas were completely swapped despite a written order via Lieferando. I had a small pepperoni sausage with extra mushrooms and my husband had the special with extra onions. When the pizzas came, the small pizza was the special and the large one was the pepperoni sausage. I don't like ham and onions on pizza, plus it was soggy. I'll have to think about whether I order there again.
