Mito - Fine Sushi & Asian Cuisine Mainz in Mainz

I ordered to take out so there is no comment for the atmosphere there. I love their sushi especially the salmon skin. So far I have been always satisfied with the food and service here.

The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The sodas were made with fresh ingredients. The service was courteous and quick. Didn't have to wait long for the food, but that means it's already pre-prepared. The seating options are rather modest, the tables are sticky and the paint is already off the wood. The ambience could be improved.

Good Asian for in between meals. The curry doesn't look very good in the photos on the menu, but it tastes great! Service is also very friendly - sometimes a bit too busy to see all the customers. You can also pay by card here from 20 euros.

Food was fresh and very tasty. Price-performance is also right. Seems inconspicuous in a small side street. But it is highly recommended! Very nice staff too.

Waitress walks around half-naked and in slippers, has no idea what she's doing. The food comes quickly but it is hard and tastes like it has been thawed, 2 summer rolls for €6 is excessive because they don't even taste good. For someone who doesn't mind that, the restaurant is quite good, but I don't recommend it

I was there for the lunch menu. It took longer until I could order and until the food came. Wasabi and ginger for the 24-piece sushi mix lunch menu were nicely presented, but not much. There was enough soy sauce. The homemade Lichi iced tea wasn't to my taste, that's a matter of taste. The shell of the sushi was rather hard, but it still fell apart three times. The service was very nice, but not always tangible. You can sit inside and outside.

The first time in Mito and we were thrilled. Price performance is right and the service is also friendly. Everything tasted very good and fresh. We can only recommend the Mito.

We ate Koko-Love soup, Red Curry Love with duck and Mama Mango with chicken with homemade iced tea. Everything was really delicious and harmonious - highly recommended. Lovely again!

The waitress couldn't take the order properly because she didn't understand a word of German. 6 people besides us sat at 2 tables. We were the first to order, we had already eaten everything and we still didn't get any food. Then asked...answer oh haven't you received anything yet? She walked past us 7 times and didn't see it...then waited another long time for food (from the lunch table, i.e. prepared)....never again...

We ordered through Wolt. Unfortunately, the sushi was completely hot when it was delivered (other restaurants do something to separate hot food from sushi). In addition, the Bun Bo was completely drowned in sauce and the meat tasted strange. However, the finished salad was no longer good and was right It tasted disgusting, so I couldn't eat my food. Our complaint about Wolt wasn't addressed, even though bad salad wasn't an option (the hot sushi itself is a shame...).

If you like Asian cuisine, this is the place for you. You can see into the kitchen. The staff is friendly even when it's busy.

I ordered food for 5 p.m. and the food came much later and my noodles with duck were cold and my wife's sushi fell apart. Absolutely impudent never again and I can't recommend ordering either way, something like that doesn't work

The Mito in downtown Mainz, Seppel-Glückert Passage, right next to the Mainz 05 fan shop, is modern and nicely furnished. Not too many frills, it's ultimately intended as a bistro. Pleasant colors, enough space even outside. The food is freshly prepared. From starters such as Edame, spring rolls, various soups to main courses such as curries, very fine various sushi, pasta and rice dishes from the wok and bowls to typical Asian desserts, there is really something for everyone. We've been to the restaurant twice now. Both times we were greeted warmly, served quickly and the waiting time was completely fine.

very appealing and interestingly furnished atmosphere The sushi and also the summer rolls were very tasty and quickly prepared and the peanut sauce was also a clear recommendation! The staff was also friendly and we had a very pleasant stay, which was made a little longer when the waiter forgot to bring us a take-away box. However, it wasn't as bad because there is a lot to look at in these actually very small rooms :)

We have eaten there several times now and have always been impressed by the food and the friendly service. The sushi was very tasteful and visually beautifully prepared. Definitely recommended :)

This establishment does not live up to what is advertised. We ordered “California” rolls, they brought them without cream cheese, we asked why there was no cheese? They said that they would bring new rolls at their own expense, BUT (2 photos) instead of fish they put crab sticks, what kind of chaos???!!! I'm shocked… I do not recommend anyone to visit this establishment.

Food was very tasty, one of if not the tastiest Asian dish I've ever had. Crispy chicken very crispy and tasty. Sushi too. Service very friendly. We always come back when we are in Mainz.

Instead of fried rice, we got fried noodles that didn't taste like anything and the chicken was too salty. Simple 🤮.

Ordered via delivery service. Please indicate that you are highly allergic to peanuts. There were still peanuts in the food and I had a severe allergic reaction. Food safety is not taken into account here. An absolute no go. No one could be reached by phone. Impossible

Very centrally located restaurant with friendly staff and a good selection of Asian dishes and sushi. It's best to reserve in advance as the restaurant is busy. There were four of us, we were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our orders. We really enjoyed it and it was also good value for money. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I have to say that it was rather disappointing. Service was catastrophic, there were three of us when the other two had almost eaten my food, it didn't work at all!!!!!! There were only 6 other guests in the restaurant and we had to keep asking what to drink, could you please take the appetizer plates with you, etc. So you really didn't feel welcome. The food was ok but not really anything special. When we wanted to order dessert the kitchen was closed at 9:15 p.m. That said everything!!!! We definitely won't eat here again

The food came quickly, the employees were nice and not stressed. Sushi and noodles were very tasty and fresh. The restaurant is very lovingly designed.

I first ordered by phone and was told everything would be ready in 20 minutes. We came and waited about 1.5 hours for noodles, rice and a sushi platter and five very small spring rolls. The sushi plate was about the size of the Rewe Sushi, I would have gotten it larger somewhere else. The rice was also fried, unfortunately there won't be another time. You could eat noodles. I was very disappointed.

It was my first time there but I'll definitely return. From the great atmosphere to the excellent service to the mouth watering food, my expectations were exceeded and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone, including my grandmother.

The three of us had dinner today and got the 3 person platter. Service was very good and friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. The painting was particularly beautiful. The wait took a little longer than expected but it was beautifully prepared. Except for the fried sushi, the food was good but not great. The price was a bit expensive for the record. Otherwise a nice restaurant with nice service.

Small Asian restaurant with great service and a huge selection of great dishes. Even though I've only had sushi so far, this is a clear recommendation. The freshness of the ingredients and the delicious flavor combinations make this a sushi highlight in Mainz. Very good service tops it all off.

The ambiance at Mito was truly inviting and unique. It felt like a journey to Japan itself. The service was friendly and accommodating. However, there was a slight delay initially in taking orders, prompting us to flag down a server to place ours. The food was a solid 5/5, the best Japanese cuisine we've experienced in Mainz so far. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were exceptional. The Sushi Sake Nigiri was outstanding; we couldn't resist ordering more. On the other hand, the Sake Maki was somewhat average in comparison. In summary, Mito offered a genuine experience, particularly in the context of Mainz's dining scene.

Super leckeres Essen - kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben dort gestern zum ersten mal gegessen, sehr sehr lecker! Das Personal ist absolut nett und das Ambiente sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Essen sehr lecker und frisch Empfehlenswert

Bei der Poke Bowl mit Tofu waren leider Avocado und Mango noch komplett hart und unreif. Auch die anderen Gerichte haben uns nicht überzeugt. Zudem roch es im Lokal sehr stark aus der Küche. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Wir waren an einem Samstag da, zur Haupt-Essenszeit. Es war zwar echt voll, aber das Personal war immer super freundlich und es ging mit dem Essen auch ziemlich flott. Wir hatten zum Anfang je unterschiedliche Tempura-Sushi (die Panade war noch warm, als serviert wurde 🤩) und die waren schon unglaublich lecker. Zum Hauptgang gab es einmal die gebratenen Reisnudeln und das Creamy-Peanut mit Tofu und Reis. Beides auch sehr sehr lecker. Weil das auch gleichzeitig quasi unser Abendessen war haben wir mit jeweils einer Portion gebackener Banane abgeschlossen. Fazit: Essen sehr gut, preislich auch in Ordnung und sehr freundliches Personal ->> Empfehlung!

Wir waren vor ca. 2 Wochen hier essen und ich wollte unbedingt noch eine Rezension schreiben. 😊 Das war nämlich das beste asiatische Essen, welches ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. Wir hatten ein Curry und eine Bowl mit Glasnudeln und Frühlingsrollen und beides war unglaublich frisch und lecker! Der Service war auch super nett und die Preise sehr fair. Ambiente hübsch und gemütlich und Toiletten waren sehr sauber. Wir konmen bestimmt wieder. 😊👍

Abiente war sehr toll (bild 1)Mitarbeiter sind sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist wirklich klasse. Ich hatte einen blauber Eistee, sushi und Undo Nudeln... Der Eistee war zwar nichts für mich und hat mir nicht so gut geschmeckt, dennoch war das sushi sehr schön angerichtetund hat sehr gut geschmeckt (sehe Bild 2) die Nudeln waren genau so lecker und toll angerichtet(sehe Bild 3 B) waren dann aber doch sehr große Portion. Ich habe z.B. Vorspeiße+Hauptgang nicht geschafft. Aber es war wirklich sehr sehr toll.

Wir sind ganz zufällig in einer Nebenstraße auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Wir saßen draußen, können also nichts zum Ambiente im Innern sagen. Aber es war draußen sehr gemütlich mit stimmungsvollen Lichtern auf den Tischen. Nun zum Essen: wir hatten einmal das Tempura Garnelen Sushi und die Narutoramen. Das Sushi war wunderschön angeordnet, und es schmeckte einfach wunderbar. Bei den Narutoramen kann man beim anrichten nicht viel verkehrt machen. Allerdings wäre es nett gewesen, wenn man uns darüber informiert hätte, dass statt Frühlingszwiebeln Mais dabei ist. Auf den hätte ich gerne verzichtet. Geschmacklich waren auch die Ramen wunderbar, besonders der gerollte Schweinebauch war sehr saftig. Der Service ist sehr nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Also beim nächsten Besuch in Mainz kommen wir gerne wieder.
