Families with children are not accepted. Despite having enough space, we wanted to sit outside and no tables were put together and we were turned away. Service is different. Apparently they don't need the guests. Simply outrageous.

The restaurant is well-located, large, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It's beautifully decorated. The service is quick, and the food is delicious and beautifully presented—perfect for Instagram stories! In my opinion, it’s one of the best sushi restaurants in the city. The prices are a bit higher than usual, but the quality and taste make all the difference. The staff are also friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We are already regular guests there. The food always impresses us. The lemonades are super delicious and refreshing. In my opinion, sushi is always super fresh and we always order their mayonnaise sauce with it. 😋

Went there for dinner and really enjoyed the food. The sushi was delicious (though the presentation doesn’t need to be smokey), and the main courses as well. Well prepared and healthy. I would like to recomend as well the lemonades. Homemade and delicious. The service was superfast and friendly, but you cannot pay with creditcard for meals of less than 30€ :S Anyway a really good place to eat and enjoy. Reservation may be required to be sure you have a seat available.

My go-to restaurant in Mainz. So far I have only ever eaten there on site and was always very impressed by the interior design and the overall ambience. This time I ordered sushi to go for the first time (2 people) and I wasn't disappointed either. I didn't have to wait long, I was able to sit at a free table in the restaurant during that time and the quality of the food was just as good as if I had eaten it on site. I will do that more often now too.

Ending a wonderful afternoon with friends with delicious sushi... what more could you ask for on a Sunday? All the dishes were very tasty and prepared into little works of art. The prices are also really reasonable and not too expensive for sushi and good Vietnamese cuisine. We spent the warm summer evening outside, so unfortunately I can't rate the restaurant itself (yet). My next visit to Mainz will definitely take me back to Hoi An Ot.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good evening today. Unfortunately, a maggot was found in our edamame. Of course the kitchen can't check every pod, but it ruined the whole evening. In the end we didn’t have to pay for the edamame. Unfortunately, we lost our appetite for the sushi, also because the rolls with mango weren't good. The mango was totally woody and sour. After a discussion, we luckily received a voucher worth the sushi roll. We would have appreciated a little more leniency.

We actually ended up there by chance because another restaurant nearby that we had chosen didn't have space. But in the end we were happy about it. Friendly and fast service, really tasty and fresh food. We would go there regularly if we lived locally.

In my opinion the best sushi shop in Mainz. The best thing to do is to write the numbers you want to order into your smartphone and then show them to the waitress. This way there are no misunderstandings. A little expensive, but tasty.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately the noise level was too high. Although the food was delicious, the service left something to be desired and was not very flexible. Dumplings were dry and without sauce. Upon request, a bowl of sauce was served, which was charged an additional €2 - wow, outrageously customer-unfriendly and totally inflexible. My suggestions for improvement would be to train the service in order to respond more flexibly to the needs of the guests, for example through individual adjustments to dishes or special requests.

Super nice and cozy restaurant with a touch of tradition. We received a very friendly welcome and despite our “spontaneous” visit, we were still able to get a place (attention! Reservation recommended). The menu is simple and not overloaded. There is something for everyone and the prices are also acceptable. The quality of the food impressed us and we were very satisfied in the end. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere smiles at you. A clear recommendation if you come near Mainz. ⚠️ Parking is best in the nearby parking garages.

I was in Mainz for a concert and came here for sushi. I really liked the look of the restaurant, the service was extremely friendly and nice and the food was absolutely delicious! The nigiri were very large so I was well full. I would recommend the restaurant and want to eat there again!

Except for the dessert, the food was really nicely prepared and tasted very good. The matcha ice cream itself was very tasty, but I would have imagined it to be something other than a normal ice cream sundae. However, I would recommend telling the customer before ordering that they can only pay in cash.

My review is for my main course. The shop was full and we had great service, however my main course of duck was absolutely bad, it was slippery, raw and sliced ​​very very thin. The supposedly dry white wine was sweet and fruity like a Federweißer. I've been here before and tried the sushi, it was mediocre but the duck is a no go. When I wanted spicy homemade sauce I got Sriracha. Gastronomy can do more, especially in this price range.

Wir waren vergangene Woche zum Urlaubsbeginn dort. Haben uns wirklich mal was gegönnt und es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Sowohl Vor-, Haupt- und NachSpeise waren Super lecker und ihr Geld absolut wert. Das ganze ist natürlich im etwas gehobenerem Preissegment, aber für gute Sushi bezahlt man ja gerne mal etwas mehr 😁

Am Telefon wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass eine Reservierung heute nicht notwendig sei. Als wir dort dann zu dritt gegen 16:00 Uhr ankamen war das Restaurant relativ leer, nur drei Tische waren belegt. Dennoch sollten wir uns an einem sehr kleinen Tisch hinten links in der Ecke Platz nehmen. Ob wir vielleicht an einen größeren Tisch wechseln können, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass diese ab 17:00 Uhr reserviert sind. Fragen bezüglich der Sushi Speisen wurde uns patzig, steht doch alles auf der Speisekarte so beantwortet. Gegen 16:15 Uhr kamen weitere Kunden und fragten ebenfalls, ob sie an einem größeren Tisch sitzen können, hier wurde gesagt, dass diese ab 18:00 Uhr reserviert sind??? Wir konnten beobachten, dass die gleiche Kellnerin ebenfalls zu diesen Gästen sehr patzig und unfreundlich war. Auch sie waren sehr über die Unfreundlichkeit der Kellnerin überrascht. Als dann unsere Speisen geliefert wurden, hat eine andere Kellnerin festgestellt, dass es nicht möglich ist, aufgrund unserer Bestellungen an so einem kleinen Tisch zu speisen. Sie war so freundlich und hat uns an einen größeren Tisch gesetzt. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker, jedoch war die 1. Kellnerin wirklich sehr unfreundlich und patzig, so dass wir uns nicht mehr über das Essen freuen konnten. Unsere Stimmung war hinüber. Wir kommen nicht mehr. Anbei waren wir bis 17:40 Uhr dort, und es kam auch niemand für die angeblich reservierten größere Tische?!

Wir sind seit Beginn an Gäste im Hoi An und waren auch immer sehr gern mit Freunden und Familie dort. Das Essen war immer sehr besonders, frisch und lecker. Jedoch fällt uns seit einiger Zeit auf, dass die Portionen immer kleiner und die Preise dagegen immer höher werden. Wir hatten nun für 6 Personen Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt, € 150 bezahlt (Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich!) und waren beim Anblick des Sushi irritiert, um nicht zu sagen entsetzt wie wenig uns dafür geboten wurde. Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut, aber die Portionen sind einfach zu klein. Wir haben die Erfahrung in den letzten Monaten sehr häufig gemacht und können daher das Hoi An nicht mehr mit 5 Sternen bewerten und werden es wohl auch nicht mehr besuchen. Sehr schade.

Qualität und Geschmack des Essens ist sehr gut. Das Sushi war frisch und lecker sowie optisch sehr schön angerichtet mit viel Farbe und Dekoration. Wir haben auch andere Gerichte auf der Speisekarte probiert - alle waren angenehm würzig und aromatisch, mit viel Gemüse und Fleisch. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und die Portionen waren großzügig. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Restaurant selbst war recht nett eingerichtet, mit asiatischen Elementen und einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen, wenn man Lust auf eine kulinarische Reise durch Asien hat. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Weiterbildung mehrere Tage mittags zu Tisch. Einfach nur köstlich! Es hat uns allen sehr sehr gemundet. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Super schön eingerichtet und wahnsinnig leckeres Essen! Alles sehr frisch und von hoher Qualität. Die Küche ist durchgehend geöffnet, kommt man zu den Standard Zeiten für Mittag- und Abendessen ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert. Dazwischen klappt es auch so. Es gibt einige hausgemachte Getränke, die man auch probieren sollte. Wenn wir wieder in Mainz sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall nochmal.

Das Essen steht in einem guten aber nicht sehr guten Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Aber alles sehr lecker und frisch! Die wackligen Aussentische auf der Terrasse und das gesamte Ambiente könnte besser sein. Darüber täuscht auch kein Trockeneis hinweg…. Daher knapp an vier Sterne 🌟 vorbei.

Sushi war top. Service bisschen schwierig, da deutsche und englische Sprachkenntnisse nur rudimentär vorhanden. Die online Karte weicht von der vor Ort Karte ab, dies führt dazu das der Nachtisch mit Äpfeln und nicht wie beschrieben mit frischen Mangos kommt. Der Hinweis zur Apfelallergie eines Gastes wurde ignoriert bzw. nicht verstanden. Mein Hauptgang hat zu 2/3 aus Blattsalat bestanden, dies stand nicht in der Karte. Geschmeckt hat es aufgrund der Durchmischung des Gerichtes mit Salatsoße nicht. Sushi ist sehr gut, nutzt nur nix wenn der Rest nicht passt.

Sehr schönes vietnamesisches Restaurant mit leckerem Sushi. Wir konnten als Familie Sonntagmittags noch einen Tisch ergattern. Der Service war freundlich und die Speisen durchgehend lecker. Die Sashimi-Stücke waren nach meinem Geschmack aber etwas groß geschnitten. Es war für uns ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

The restaurant is located in 2nd street row next to the river Rhein. The interior is fresh and stylish. The dishes are modern and the optic is more European style. I ordered chicken curry with vegetables and salad with a spritzer drink. The taste and the quality was very good. The price of 22,4€ is also more European and not as cheap as you may expect for a Vietnamese restaurant in Germany. All together I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere there.

Tolle Präsentation des Essens, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig Essensauswahl, freundliches Personal, schönes Ambiente

War spontan mit einer Freundin in besagtem Restaurant. Das Lokal an sich ist zwar klein, aber sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Sushi war sehr schön angerichtet und geschmacklich einfach Spitzenklasse. Man konnte sehen, das hier ein Augenmerk auf Frische und hochwertige Produkte gelegt wird. Preislich ist es hier zwar etwas gehobener, aber die Qualität die abgeliefert wurde wiegt dies auf jeden Fall wieder auf. Der Service war gut und zuvorkommend. Leider konnte der Mann aus dem Service nicht immer an unserem Tisch präsent sein, da das Restaurant an diesem Nachmittag doch recht gut besucht war und er den Service alleine "schmeißen" musste. Ich empfinde das aber persönlich nicht als negativ, da ich selbst jahrelang in der Gastro tätig war und weiß, was einem dort manchmal abverlangt wird. Alles in allem waren meine Begleitung und ich durchweg begeistert und werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Die Vorspeisen sowie das Sushi sind einfach köstlich. Preislich zeigt sich das, aber Qualität hat eben seinen Preis. Schöne Location und das Personal war auch gut. War jetzt drei mal dort gewesen und war jedes Mal höchst zufrieden.

Hätte ich das vorher gewusst, hätten wir uns hier nicht hingesetzt. Erstens ist das ein Asiate, der alles anbietet. Also japanisch, thai, vietnamesisch und vieles mehr... Das ist ungefähr so, als ob man in Asien ein europäisches Restaurant besucht, wo es deutsche Schnitzel, italienische Pasta und Pizza und französische Boulliabaisse anbietet. Auf jeden Fall ist der Service total überfordert. Es werden an den Nebentischen die falschen Speisen serviert. Wir warten ziemlich lang bis der Hauptgang gebracht wird, während nebenan schon 2 Gänge verspeist werden. Der Papayasalat ist für uns immer der Test, ob die Qualität stimmt. Die Salatblätter sind zum Teil recht welk, die typische Schärfe und die getrockneten Shrimps fehlen gänzlich. Die Hauptspeise besteht wieder aus einem Salatbett in einer zuckrigen Marinade mit gebratenem Tofu und Reisnudeln. Hier fehlt definitiv Gemüse und noch viel mehr!

Gut, es war Sommer, heiß, und es herrschte eine große Nachfrage. Reservieren durfte man für 1,5 Stunden. Das Personal war bemüht, auch freundlich, verbreitete aber Hektik und kaum ansprechbar. Einen Zwischengang wollte man nicht aufnehmen, sondern man sollte sich entscheiden, ob man diesen mit der Vorspeise oder dem Hauptgang zusammen haben wollte. Die Zitronengrassumme war sehr schmackhaft. Die Frühlingsrollen waren zwar knusprig aber der Teig fühlte sich im Mund wie Oblatenpapier an. Die Hauptgerichte wurden gebracht, noch bevor die Vorspiesen beendet waren. Immerhin war man so locker vor Fristende fertig und konnte das Feld für Nachfolger räumen - definitiv zum letzten Mal. Die Hauptgerichte zeigten sich recht geschmacksneutral und konnten nicht überzeugen.

Ein schönes Lokal ( 1 Punkt), gutes Essen (1 Punkt), schönes Ambiente (1 Punkt) aber 2 Punkte Abzug, wegen unflexible Essenszeiten und dadurch miesen Service und wohl eine sehr schlechte Organisation. Man kann nicht gemütlich essen, sondern man wird nach etwa 1 Std gebeten zu gehen DAS GEHT GAR NICHT!!!!! Ich war im Sommer schonmal da und wollte es jetzt nochmal versuchen in der Hoffnung, dass sie sich geändert hätten, aber leider ist es immer noch so schlimm. Ich wollte heute mit Freunden reservieren und habe zum Glück gefragt, ob dieser Zustand immer noch anhält. Leider ist es immer noch so! Ich kann nur dazu raten, sich ein anderes Lokal zu suchen, wenn man einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen will, da kann man nur reinschlingen! Wenn Sie von dieser Unart wieder Abstand nehmen sollten, werden wir vielleicht wieder kommen, so vergraulen Sie Ihre Klientel!

Sehr gute asiatische Küche zu einem soliden Preis. Ob 2 Sommerrollen für Euro 4,90 - 5,90, Saigon Curry für Euro 11,50 -15,90 oder Phnom Penh Peanuts für Euro 11,50 - 13,50 - alles sehr, sehr gut. Reservierung wird empfohlen.

The food was nice but the waiter had a terrible attitude!!! The waitresses were ok but the place crammed too many people in. Covid checks upon entry and then sitting way too close to other customers. The disrespectful waiter spoilt the family meal so I will never go there again. Kitchen can present good food but rude waiter spoilt the experience, he needs the sack , sorry but he ruined the night!!
