Great food with the best gyro for miles around! The restaurant from the outside and the view of the disused riding stables aren't that great, but the staff was excellent! Another visit, this time outside in the garden, was very nice. The food was once again top-notch. I haven't had such crispy gyro and souvlaki skewers at any other Greek restaurant. The drinks were also well-chilled, and the apple spritzer wasn't watered down. The staff was excellent!
The restaurant is located at the sports field on Ostring.
Its spacious rooms make it ideal for larger celebrations.
We were invited to a large birthday party with about 100 people.
The organization was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and efficient.
As a welcome, we were served tarte flambée, etc., and champagne.
The hall was beautifully set.
There was an appetizer buffet with everything your heart could desire and it was very tasty.
The main courses were zander and turkey.
The fish was well-cooked, but the sauces were unfortunately not so good, but this was easily forgiven given the large portions.
The desserts were okay.
Unfortunately, the restrooms are one floor below, making them difficult for people with walking difficulties.
Plenty of parking is available.
The terrace is very nice with a view of the sports field and the forest.
That was the worst restaurant visit I've ever experienced. We were greeted with the words: "You can sit wherever you want, since we were the only two guests." The two guests at the next table used this brief conversation as an excuse to escape and left the restaurant. We asked for a drinks menu, and the answer was: "We don't have one, but we do have plenty of fruit juices." The menu is very straightforward. A four-sheet A4 sheet, meaning a daily special and four other dishes. We opted for the poke bowl. Since I'm vegetarian, I asked what the vegetarian alternative to the chicken was. The answer was, "It's probably fried onions." I don't know much about that either.
The poke bowl was the poke bowl plus mixed lettuce leaves, with coleslaw, possibly bought at Metro, Asian noodles, and some dark, unidentifiable, fried balls (that was the vegetarian alternative).
I didn't try it either, so I can't say what it was.
``` We left the restaurant after 20 minutes and can't recommend it at all. It's a shame, really, because the atmosphere is quite nice.
This was our second year hiking here and we're still thrilled. The hotel, with its modern guesthouse, is beautifully and quietly located. You can start hiking right away without having to drive. The host family is extremely accommodating, as are the staff, and the food is excellent.
You have to bring cash, otherwise you'll have to go downhill to get it.
It's not mentioned anywhere; only cash counts here.
If only the food were special, but it isn't.
The Greek restaurant in Velburg offers plenty of space both inside and outside. We received a friendly welcome; reservations are definitely recommended for Sunday lunch.
A lovely ambiance, rather simple, and a good selection of dishes.
The food was truly delicious, and we were very satisfied with the starters and main courses.
Service was also good.
