Delicious Bavarian food with a few creative twists. A lovely atmosphere and friendly service complete the positive impression. Fairly priced, as the generous portions are beautifully presented and the ingredients seem fresh. We would definitely come back. Especially if the old dining room is open next time! 😉
We were there for the first time today! The food was delicious, we were seated very quickly, and the service was super friendly. Definitely recommended, and it was nice and quiet too. I'll definitely be back! :)
Let me say right away: you feel right at home here.
We stumbled upon Bakalikon quite by chance and thought, "Well, let's give this Greek restaurant a try." Luckily, we did. The moment you step inside, you feel comfortable. The ambiance is simply perfect. It feels like sitting in your Greek grandmother's cozy living room, enjoying delicious food – that's exactly how we felt.
The food was fantastic. We tried practically everything on the menu and were truly impressed. They serve authentic Greek dishes of the highest quality and flavor. Absolutely top-notch!
Our absolute highlight was our waiter. He made the evening unforgettable. We felt like we'd known each other forever. He was attentive, always up for a laugh, and simply put a smile on our faces.
All in all, it was one of the best evenings we've ever had dining out. We'll definitely be back!
Yesterday, I spontaneously ate lunch:
I chose a dish from the lunch menu. There's always a limited lunch menu and a very large/standard menu. The service was very attentive and prompt. My meal, plus a coleslaw appetizer, arrived relatively quickly. I really enjoyed it—I'll be back 🙂
Best hidden gym in all of Bavaria, American German family super kind super amazing super amazing food there can’t be enough good things said about this. The only downside is from time to time their digital payment services go down and you are required to pay in cash so make sure you take cashbut other than that nothing but good things
I followed the recommendations of other reviewers and made a reservation. Reservations are definitely advisable, especially on weekends.
We had a table on a mezzanine in the courtyard. The courtyard is very cozy and offers guests a chance to escape the noise of the city.
For my starter, I chose a very tasty potato soup, which had a consistency almost like mashed potatoes. The main course, the Stachel Pfännle (a local specialty), was followed by an equally delicious crème brûlée with fresh strawberries and raspberries for dessert.
As the name suggests, a very extensive wine list was also available.
A word about the service: Waitstaff are generally not very well paid for the physically demanding work. That makes it all the more impressive when the service is attentive, quick, and as exceptionally friendly as it was at Restaurant Stachel. Of course, one can expect top-notch service at a restaurant in this price range, but I still wanted to commend them.
If I ever find myself in Würzburg again, I hope there will be a free table there.
