What a pleasant surprise! My husband, who has celiac disease, and I were thrilled to stumble upon this hidden gem by accident. Tucked away near a football field, this Gaststätte serves absolutely delicious gluten-free Spätzle and Kaiserschmarren. We usually drive to Munich for gluten-free Kaiserschmarren, but we were glad someone makes it near us. The lovely owner welcomed us with a warm smile and treated us to truly homemade, comforting dishes. If you’re gluten-free, you must come here, and even if you’re not, there are plenty of non-gluten-free options as well. Pure heaven.

Yes, truly a hidden gem: the owner cooks with love and passion, there's always a small daily menu and plenty of great vegetarian dishes. Truly vegetarian dishes, not just cheese spaetzle, with seasonal and often regional vegetables. Great meat dishes as well. There's truly something for everyone here. All ingredients are of high quality. It sometimes takes a little longer, but that's okay if you're prepared and know that everything is fresh and cooked with love. It's a cozy place with a beer garden, quietly located by the forest, and plenty of space for the kids to run around...

The Högenauer Kocherei is definitely a hidden gem and a real insider tip, and not just because of its location. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. This applies both indoors and in the very beautiful outdoor area. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Even small conversations are possible. The food is of excellent quality and very tasty. I would have liked to eat more, but the portions are very large. I couldn't fit any more in. A restaurant I would gladly visit again. I was a bit surprised that there is a wheelchair accessible restroom, but the restaurant itself is only accessible via a small staircase. If I missed a ramp, please correct me.

Open according to opening times. But it's closed, only open from 5 p.m. (according to Google 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.) according to the board on site. Went there for free.

Gut bürgerliche Küche mit freundlichen, angenehmen Wirtsleuten. Speisen können auf Bestellung abgeholt werden. So ein bisserl ein Geheimtipp.
