Huge menu... the burgers are very good, the Gröstl (a traditional potato and cheese dish) has very little meat. Great drinks! The pear and quark strudel tastes like no pear at all, microwaved with a tablespoon of still-frozen fruit and cheap vanilla ice cream... they could definitely improve that. A shame. The main room is very cozy and well laid out. I find the side room very uncomfortable. Also, I personally find the men at the bar, both in the afternoon and evening, rather drunk and not in the best of moods. Perhaps they were exceptions. The female servers are incredibly nice! Kudos to them. Have a good time! 🌲

Unfortunately, the service was very unfriendly. You feel neither seen nor welcome. It can easily take five minutes for the server to notice you, even if you're standing right in front of them. When I wanted a hot meal at 10:45 a.m., I was told to wait until 11:00 a.m. When I then tried to order the hot meal at 11:05 a.m., I was told that the meal didn't even exist. My girlfriend was apparently in the way of the waitress, and instead of politely pointing it out, she just gave me a loud, unfriendly "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" It would be a really nice place if some of the staff would perhaps reconsider their career choices. The guests would certainly appreciate it.
