Good Italian cuisine and good portions!

We were lured by the good reviews, but had a very negative experience. After we received our drinks quite quickly, despite the waiter waving over us three times, we were no longer served and completely ignored; no one came to take our food order. The tables directly behind us were served the entire time and new orders were taken several times, but there was probably no time for us. After three quarters of an hour of ignorance, we decided to pay and leave with an empty stomach. When the boss finally came he was surprised that we wanted to pay without having eaten because, in his opinion, “we had only been waiting for 10 minutes”. In addition, the volume in this restaurant was catastrophic; you literally had to scream to even begin to hear the person across the table.

Wurden sehr nett empfangen, hatten nicht reserviert. Da wir nur ein zwischen Stop gemacht haben bevor es in den Urlaub ging. Kellner zuvorkommend, sehr leckeres Essen. Von außen ohh 😅 aber von innen hat es sein gewissen Charme, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bitte behaltet alles so bei.

Very good, fresh and tasty Italian food! Friendly staff and impeccable service. Music was a little too loud at times but otherwise everything went great! Definitely recommended! We had dinner with 2 families with children.

We made a reservation there based on good reviews and were disappointed. The value for money wasn't right, the pizzas were average and I've had better starters in other Italian restaurants. The service staff was very stressed, after the starter we waited 1 hour for our pasta and pizzas. When we wanted to ask why it was taking so long, the waiter ignored us, walked past us several times and didn't respond to our requests even though he saw us has that we want something from him. But the store was full and it probably doesn't matter how you treat the customers. We won't eat there again. Average cuisine, stressed staff. Price-performance doesn't fit either. I'll keep looking, I'm happy to pay more if everything fits.

Super friendly Italian. The best pizza I've ever eaten. The antipasta and tiramisu were also absolutely delicious. An absolute recommendation. Gladly again.

Loud music that does not allow conversations. The host did not permit us to sit in the quiet separate room but insisted that the table next to the loudspeakers is the only one possible. Food was very good, but the host became unfriendly after the food was eaten, cranked the volume to max and was happy to see us pay in a hurry and leave as soon as possible. Not a good ending for an evening in a restaurant.

I felt very comfortable in the restaurant. Fantastic service even though it was busy and we were a large group. Everything went quickly and special requests were taken into account. The recommendations and explanations of the dishes were also perfect. The interior is cozy and rustic and that went very well with the evening in November. Not to forget the most important thing: I really enjoyed it.

Good food, unfortunately the pasta wasn't al dente, a shame. Service very friendly and warm. We were made aware of a longer wait for the main course (very positive) It was a nice evening and we felt comfortable, which was also due to the service team. However, our table location was very unfavorable for 4 people, even though there were two other free tables for 4 people.

Locale pazzesco a Norimberga. Una vera icona di italianità dove si trova cibo eccellente con preziosità come tartufi e pesce freschissimo, in un ambiente unico con una atmosfera mista di musica e balli. Romeo titolare del locale e il vero istrione delle serate che donano soddisfazione e voglia di rimanere fino alla chiusura. Самые вкусные креветки на гриле за последние 10 лет путешествий. Атмосфера праздника ( в субботу вечером) Персонал - все на веселе но в рамках приличия = отличная анимация Здесь атмосфера какого-то провинциально итальянского городка где люди умеют наслаждаться жизнью, ну и едой с вином конечно тоже 😉 В субботу все занято персонал летает между столами, но ничего не забывают. Вкусно , шумно и весело Рекомендую

Update 2024: It gets better and better…. Romeo and the team , they rock! Wine, food , service … La locanda, a portal to Italian happy place! Well, where to start. Both food and service are stunning!!! You have to try it yourself. Imho the best italian restaurant in nurnberg.( there are some other great pizza places- if it is counted- never had the time to try it here). My recommendation would be, order any sea food or pasta or anything with truffel. Mozarealla is always fresh too but you may realise that you never had good mozzarella in your life.... Better you ask Romeo and his blackboard for the food ;). Then comes Allesondro with the wine... Try aged grappa at the end... I hope you enjoy as we do occasionally... The prices are great and service is amazing. Dont get Ripped in the city center....this is the portal to northern italy....dont miss it!

Perfect and relaxing experience of hospitality and best Italian cuisine, in Nuerenberg. It's just a few minutes by taxi to enjoy a relaxed moment. A lot of skill to achieve fresh and full options of dishes.

Starter very good, main course average. Receiving drinks requests took more than 25 minutes, food was received after around 45 minutes and then took more than an hour. We received a grappa from the innkeeper as an apology when paying.

The best Italian outside of Italy. We ate there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The waiters, the atmosphere and above all the food are 100% authentic and, for me personally, every price is right. We'll definitely be back!

Auf der Durchreise haben wir zu Abend gegessen. Ein toller, schneller, Service. Wir hatten vorher angerufen und die Pizza kam für 9 Personen innerhalb weniger Minuten. Danke

Der Inhaber und der Service ist außergewöhnlich gut, auch das Essen in einer hohen Qualität, eine besondere Qualität in dem Nudelbereich. Ich muss sagen, wir waren sehr stark und absolut begeistert. Es ist fast irre die Lage man kann es nicht glauben.👍

Ich war zwei Wochen geschäftlich in Nürnberg und habe mir das La Locanda aufgrund der Bewertungen fürs Abendessen herausgesucht. Und es hat meine Erwartungen sogar übertroffen: Authentisch, nettes Personal, sensationell gutes Essen zu einem wirklich fairen Preis. Das gibt es so nur noch selten. Bravo! Deshalb wollte ich unbedingt auch den letzten Abend meiner Dienstreise dort verbringen :) absolute Empfehlung meinerseits. Sollte ich wieder mal in Nürnberg sein, werde ich auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

I found the best restaurant in Nuremberg!

Finding an excellent Italian place in Nuremburg was unexpected. Romeo and his staff were charming and the food was excellent. American in Germany who only barely knows the necessary traveling phrases and numbers in German and passable French here with my wife. They spoke no English. It didn't matter. Will be hard to eat at the Italian places back home after this experience. Gratzi Romeo!

Authentic Italian restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere! There is a changing and seasonal daily menu! Dishes are freshly prepared and served with love! Food quality is really very good and the taste is delicious! We recommend! Had the tagliatelle with salmon and the house salad! Even our little 2-year-old son was taken into consideration and served a small portion of fresh pasta with tomato sauce including freshly grated Parmesan! We will be back!!!!

The food was very good, the service was friendly and joking. The restaurant is not very large, but has a heated outdoor area. Since it was quite full, the noise level was very high. But I can recommend the restaurant!

Was there for the Christmas party! The place was full, but only 2 in service. I waited 20 minutes for the first drink order. Music was pretty loud. But the food was very tasty: pasta with porcini mushrooms. Tiramisu. Overall OK. Very little parking space. Since I don't go to Nuremberg-Gostenhof often, I probably won't go there often anymore...

Für mitten in Nürnberg ein schöne Pizzaria (Italiener) wir hatten nicht Reserviert und mussten in den Wintergarten. Troz kälte drausen war es da mit dem feuer und diversen Heitzungen sehr angenehm und das Feuer sorgte auch für einen tollen Flair. Die Pizzen und die Bruschetta waren geschmacklich top. Ps die Oliven sind mit Kerne, war ich nicht drauf vorbereitet 🤣

Zum ersten Mal in Nürnberg und zufällig auf Google Maps entdeckt. Spontan alleine noch einen Tisch im Wintergarten gekriegt, nach mir war alles voll - Glücksgriff: wurde super nett empfangen, Service top, tagliatelle ai porcini perfekt.

Also wer 2 Stunden auf sein Essen wartet, verliert langsam die Geduld. Warten lohnt sich manchmal im Leben so auch hier im Restaurante. Hatte die pasta mit Trüffeln. Empfehlenswert.

Wir sind überrascht, von aussen eher unscheinbar, durch Bewertungsportale und deren Bewertungen haben wir uns entschlossen doch mal hinzugehen, es war die richtige Entscheidung. Bei der telefonischen Reservierung haben wir die italienische Freundlichkeit schon kennen gelernt, die sich dann bei unserem Besuch wie ein roter Faden durch den Abend zog. Das Lokal sehr gemütlich, der Gastgarten sehr ansprechend. Die Speiseauswahl ist übersichtlich, da ist für jeden was dabei. Unsere Gerichte qualitativ hochwertig, sehr geschmackvoll und sehr nett präsentiert. Die Getränkeempfehlung gut zu den Gerichten abgestimmt. Höchst erfreulich und erwähnenswert ist, es gibt kein " N....è Wasser." La bella Italia mitten in Nürnberg. Wir kommen bestimmt bei der nächsten Gelegenheit wieder. Wir sind zwar öfter in Nürnberg, waren aber noch nie bei diesem Italiener - LEIDER!! Heute sind wir auf der Suche eben nach einem italienischen Restaurant auf das La Locanda gestoßen. Schon beim Eintreten haben wir uns wie in Italien gefühlt. Die Begrüßung, die Musik, das Gelächter der Gäste - einfach großartig, herzlich. Wir durften draußen unter einem kleinen Anbau Platz nehmen, umgeben von schönen Lichtern und einem Feuerspiel. Richtig gemütlich. Das Personal brachte sofort die Speisekarte, auch eine große Tafel mit den Tagesgerichten. Die Getränke standen schnell am Tisch und auch top Empfehlungen hatte der Chef parat. Wir hatten zwei kleine Salate (die eigentlich groß waren), eine Pizza und zwei Mal Calamarata Frutti di Mare. Und das war wirklich ordentlich Frutti di Mare. Eine Riesengarnele, verschiedene Muscheln, Tintenfisch - und zwar viel davon - und eine köstliche, leicht scharfe Tomatensoße. Einfach göttlich! Wir mussten auch überhaupt nicht lange warten. Ging echt flott. Der Bruder meines Freundes hatte die Pizza mit tollem, knusprigen Rand, Schinken und Salami. Er war auch so begeistert. Danach gab's Espresso. Wir wurden immer wieder von Chef und Kellner am Tisch "besucht", es wurde viel gescherzt und gelacht. Ein perfekter Service, so einen erlebt man nur noch selten. Die Verabschiedung war so herzlich, als würde man sich schon Jahre kennen! Wir werden zu 100% wieder dort essen gehen und ein bisschen Italien in Nürnberg genießen♡
