Probably one of the worst Italian restaurants I’ve been to that still has over 4 stars on Google Reviews.

A great restaurant, top quality food, great service, good wine list, and a great atmosphere!

I've been a guest at the restaurant three times now. And I'm grateful for everything I've been able to enjoy. I'd like to thank you so much for the work and love you show me. It's not something to be taken for granted and should never be taken for granted. Respect and love must always be present on both sides. We ordered several pizzas for delivery at short notice. The pizzas arrived well ahead of schedule and still warm. No matter who I spoke to, whether on the phone or the gentleman delivering the pizzas, such empathy is rare. Thank you so much for everything. We'll order again and look forward to our next visit to your location.

Padelle is a hyped restaurant, but the quality of the experience isn't particularly good. It's like home-cooked food. The ambiance isn't great, and the very small courtyard/outdoor area had an unpleasant smell of weed. The service is okay – neither unfriendly nor accommodatingly empathetic.

It used to be much, much better. We've given the restaurant a second chance several times now, but recently the food was average, somewhat bland (all dishes), mixed service and far too expensive. Too bad

The mostly very good reviews are incomprehensible to us. The Italian is centrally located near the train station. The outside seating area doesn't look particularly inviting. Our table reservation for 5:30 p.m. (!), not even during rush hour, had simply been forgotten. We were seated at the end at a table for 8, which is generally ok if you didn't reserve for 2 people. The seat on the bench had a height difference because there was another part of the bench right in the middle. We pointed this out and it was now possible to get a table for two. Unfortunately, the listless-looking waiter brought the wrong drinks despite taking two digital orders, which is quite impressive. The truffle pasta for a whopping 29.90 was delicious and delivered to the table unusually quickly, while the wine we ordered was only brought after the main course had been served. It was quite loud, a lot of hectic activity. Fast processing… no feel-good factor despite the very nice furnishings, the waiters made a disorganized impression after drinks that were not ordered were brought to our table twice. This was also noticeable on the bill: one time the wrong drink and one drink that wasn't ordered were charged. Our conclusion: we've rarely had such an uncomfortable meal at a more or less average Italian restaurant, and even the espresso or limoncello at the house's expense couldn't get rid of that. Once and not again.

Yes, an Olympus for every Italy connoisseur. Unfortunately too often fully booked, or simply too small.

Better signage of the tours would be nice

Very traditional and authentic Italian restaurant in Nuremberg. Located in a very old house and spread over several floors. It was a little tight inside, but eating it was good!

Great Italian restaurant. Super good food at high prices and the menu and daily specials offer an excellent selection of dishes for upscale tastes.

Can only warmly recommend the restaurant. Every dish we have ordered so far has been delicious. The service is great too. The prices are a little higher, but justified! The Bavette alla Chef made from the Parmesan wheel is absolutely amazing! By the way, you can also order all dishes without meat or fish.

I have never seen a restaurant with such a high rating but with such bad food. You really have to try hard to get a pizza this bad - we tried three different ones. All of them were oversalted, burnt and just not tasty. I can't recommend this place. The rating deserves a maximum of 3.5 stars.

The worst service I have ever faced. Over-the-top ego from the staff for such a mediocre restaurant. They are not mindful and plain rude when greeting new customers. My advise - there are plenty of very good places in the city with good food and service, and better avoid this place 👎👎👎

Zelden zo lekker Italiaans gegeten, het restaurant was grotendeels bezet door Italianen, dus dat zegt genoeg. De eigenaar heeft precies in de gaten waar de gasten behoefte aan hebben, waardoor de bediening vlekkeloos verloopt. Absolute aanrader!

Today I had a very unpleasant experience at your restaurant. It all started during the phone call, where we were treated disrespectfully. When we arrived, we were told we had to eat outside – on a makeshift terrace in an alley, with a few tables set up as if they were for the poor. The restaurant was supposedly full, but they didn't tell us that over the phone. After my persistence, we were finally allowed to sit inside, but on the condition that we wouldn't stay longer than an hour, as another group was expected. That's no way to treat customers – especially not when it's my birthday. The food was a disaster. The pizza I ordered had just eight slices of salami and barely any cheese, but a thick crust, probably to fake a larger portion. The salmon pasta was extremely greasy, and my wife woke up in the night with food poisoning and vomiting. It is unacceptable to offer such poor service and quality. You should take urgent action—both regarding your staff attitudes and the quality of your food. In this state, your restaurant is absolutely not recommended!

The way we were treated yesterday... simply disgusting. You communicate openly that you only want to eat dessert and drink some wine and are sat down at a table, only to be told by the boss that you shouldn't come just for dessert because it's not profitable for him and we're taking seats...

Amazing food, great atmosphere.

The food was great. Although it was very full and we hadn't made a reservation, we were politely assigned a seat after just a short wait. The service was perfect, the food came quickly, was fresh and a super good portion. There were three of us and we had pizza, pasta and steak on point! The espresso on the house was a super nice gesture and we will 10000% be back! :)

The prices are unreasonably high – €7.50 for a simple tomato soup and €10 for a tiramisu. The portions are very small. In addition, our stay was abruptly ended after only 1.5 hours because the next guests were already waiting. It seems as if quantity clearly trumps quality here. A relaxed visit to a restaurant looks different. I was very disappointed.

This was our second time at Padelle d'Italia and we weren't disappointed a second time. The restaurant has 2 small outdoor areas (one right at the entrance + a small roof terrace). The interior is modern and "Italian" in design. This time we sat in the middle and the restaurant was completely full, so it was a little noisy - but it's not a library tolerable for our taste. To the essentials: The noodles are all recommended. Cooked to perfection, a good “normal” portion and plenty of sauce. The pizzas are crispy on the edges, not too thick and have decent toppings. The starters are relatively large, which we all found very positive. First of all, there is bread with oil, which we can also recommend. The dessert was also very tasty. In addition to the normal menu, there is always a super tasty and very large selection on the board. All special requests were implemented very friendly and we felt very well served. We were very satisfied all around and will definitely visit Padelle more often in the future.

You could tell right from the reception that the employees work professionally. Our jackets and coats were immediately taken away. The waiters were very quick and attentive. The food and ambience were great!!

The first courses are really good and plentiful... very good choice of desserts, including a mix of not bad tastings. I didn't like the house red wine. Unexciting mixed appetizer. A little confusing but it feels good and you feel like you're in Italy. Italian staff.

You can spend lovely evenings here, everything is great! You should make a reservation, it is rather difficult to do so spontaneously.

We were there spontaneously yesterday because a Nuremberg resident recommended this restaurant to us. Unfortunately we didn't know that you should make a reservation. Nevertheless, we were able to spontaneously go in for an hour and eat something. The food came quickly and was heavenly. This pizza was so incredibly delicious. Neither of us has ever had such a delicious pizza. The restaurant is a bit hidden, but is definitely worth a visit. It also feels very family-like. If we are ever here again, we will definitely come. You have competed with our favorite Italian restaurant. Thanks for the spontaneity and the excellent food.

Went there spontaneously and received a very friendly welcome, but still managed to get a seat without a reservation. The service was very attentive and courteous. Had pasta & pizza, both very tasty as well as all the drinks. Looking forward to next time.

We tried several dishes! I recommend trying the pasta. We ordered ravioli (one of the best I've tried), the pasta with sausages (they served it to us with pennies because the pasta they normally used had run out), and the tagliatelle with truffle (without truffle due to an intolerance). The pizza had very nice dough. Also order the variety that has the sweets in the catalog in a small size so that you can try them all!

Arrived without a reservation but still managed to get a seat for a quick dinner. Food was very good, service impeccable. The fact that it's a Christmas market and that's why the restaurant was very well attended... that's just the way it is. I'd love to come back!

Absolutely top Italian/Sicilian? Even though we were only pushed in between, it was a gastronomic highlight, top products from the kitchen, with a very upscale interior, very friendly service, fast and attentive. I've never had such good Italian food before, the staff was super accommodating and friendly and the prices were totally right. Definitely a highlight of our visit to Nuremberg.

The truffle pasta was so bad, the sauce was not at all thick. I know the pasta takes time (20mins) but it took more than 35 mins for just plain pasta with truffle shavings on the top. Service put a glass of drink on the table which my friend from US thought was complimentary and when about to have it was told it was just put there for a which embarrassed him quite a lot and did not enjoy this visit while visiting Nuremberg. Maybe other foods were good but this did not sit well with me (who has visited Italy and tried good pasta) and felt bad for my friend. Ambience is really great and owner is accommodating but maybe I didn’t get the experience everyone mentioned for some unfortunate reasons.

The Restaurant Padelle is a small but fine Italian restaurant. Nice ambience. The food is beautifully prepared, you could almost say presented. There is a nice selection of dishes, so there is something for everyone. There is also a day ticket. On the subject of dessert, kudos for that. We had pistachio tiramisu, the regular tiramisu and the Nutella cheesecake. Guys, I'm telling you, I've eaten dessert everywhere I've been in the world. Here at Padelle, the best Tiramisu I have ever eaten. Without exaggerating. The Nutella cheesecake was an absolute experience for me. I can only recommend it! What should also be said, the service, despite the stress and hectic pace that exists for the employees, is always super friendly and accommodating. Absolutely classy. It was my first visit to this restaurant, and what can I say. I'll be back. (A little tip on the side: reserve in advance?

We had the Spaghetti dei gamberi and Pizza Margherita. The spaghetti was fantastic, the pizza was delicious. I have no experience with Sicilian pizza, but it reminded me of a mix of Roman and Neapolitan pizza. The food is definitely recommended. It's best to reserve in advance because it's very busy. After ordering, it took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Thank you very much 😊

November 1st, 2024 approx. 5:45 p.m. to 7:25 p.m. €59.30 sat in the awning as there was nothing left available. Temperature around 10 degrees Celsius. Starter received at 6:12 p.m., main course around 7:00 p.m. Starter and taste of the food good/ok, slightly salty. Lots of service staff available, but not on task. At around 6:40 p.m. they notice that the main course is missing. A quick note from the service staff that they are taking care of things. Generally not receiving good attention, no kindness. It looked the same to another individual guest. More like L'Osteria Franchise, although they are very nice. Still, don't let anything show. Paid because you didn't want to stay longer and didn't receive limoncello, even though all the other guests in the entrance area received one. A good host could have at least bought some tea as an excuse for 30-40 minutes. They also earned the 0.70 euro tip for this successful dinner. Grace. Ciao!

Coming for a second time - the place is very nice, better make a reservation a week in advance otherwise you might not get a table in the evening. This time we tried pizza - was ok, but we would rather recommend the pasta there. Starters and desserts were delicious and service was great.

I was thrilled from the first visit. At the second, we sat at a table for two on the roof terrace / winter garden without a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. The waiter was able to remember all of our requests without taking notes. He also brought the 7 orders correctly to the next table without any note. The food is wonderful! Bruschetta is particularly recommended as a starter. The best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. I will definitely come back.

Thought this would be a great reprieve from all the German food we’ve had on our trip so far. Unfortunately, we had a terrible seat, had a really hard time getting our waiters attention, and waited for over an hour for my wife’s food. They brought mine after 50 minutes or so, and we had to eat separately. To add insult to injury, we ordered a caprese salad, and it came with lettuce on it instead of basil. When I asked them for basil, they came back 15 minutes later and said that they didn’t have any basil! Mind blown. Basil is all over the menu, and they are substituting rocket and oregano and not telling anyone. They are a fish out of water in a tourist trap neighborhood.
