Food was of a very low quality. - The antipasti is very small and has almost 3 options only (quality is bad and not tasty). - Shrimps pasta had a very bad smell, honestly it was hard to sit on the table from the smell! - even with reservation, we got a table on an uphill road, it was not convenient at all to sit on the chair. The table was super small it was really hard to fit one big and one small plate on the table, and definitely no room for the salt and pepper and oil, we had to put them on the floor 🙈 Overall bad experience and not worth the price, the food quality is bad and service is average.

Simply really great food, the boss is super nice and you can sit outside in a really nice and relaxed way and enjoy the fine dishes! Definitely come back!

An experience like in Italy. You can go wrong with antipasti, but everything was perfect here. A really great selection of Italian salami, hard cheese, ham and all the other things that were on our antipasti mista. The tagliatelle with lemon cream sauce was something completely new. Perfectly al dente and super tasty. The atmosphere in the alley was like in Italy, plus the white house wine…….a perfect evening…..Thank you 😋

Went here for dinner with work colleagues after a trade fair. The food was very satisfying. The service was very nice. We were asked if we minded two smaller tables being served first as it was very busy that day. Although we had no problem with this, our food still came quite quickly. Big plus point: there are only handmade noodles, no ready-made noodles. The portions could be a little larger after a hard day at the trade fair, but you can't describe them as too small. The appetizers were also very tasty! I would be happy to come back at the next trade fair. It definitely makes sense to reserve in advance.

We came to the restaurant and ordered first courses, main dishes and wine. After the first course we waited 45 minutes to the main course which didn't arrive. When we asked the staff about it, we got a disrespectful response. After this humiliating experience, we payed for our first dishes and got up. Very disappointing

Kleines Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und sehr guten italienischen Gerichten. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Pasta waren sehr lecker und authentisch. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Reservieren ist zu empfehlen, da das Restaurant nicht all zu viele Plätze hat! Insgesamt ein toller Abend im Da Gallo, kommen gerne wieder!

We went to dinner with my boyfriend very close to closing time, the man very kindly let us sit down and helped us choose the dishes, clarifying all our doubts. The dishes arrived in a very short time and were very tasty, we were able to pay with a card and when we left it started to rain heavily, to which the man provided us with an umbrella. I would go again, excellent service 😊

I wasn't particularly impressed with this restaurant. The amatriciana pasta I ate was not to my liking. It looked like a simple tomato pasta. … the cheese to put on the pasta was brought to us in mini single-portion bowls. I wouldn't go back.

Friendly and very good Italian home cooking, cucina casalinga....small menu but really good bruschetta and pasta. A special "spaghetteria"...not a pizzeria, the small restaurant in the old town skillfully sets itself apart from the mass of Italian restaurants.

Found this little gem by chance while walking and didn't regret it. Very authentic food. The pasta is absolutely delicious. I just wanted to eat the pasta by itself, it was so good. And the portions are perfect, so you can actually enjoy a small starter, main course and dessert without rolling out of the restaurant with a full belly. The tiramisu is also a must for dessert. Fluffy and creamy. An Italian dream in a German city!✨️🇮🇹🍝 I would recommend booking in advance though. The service is also very nice and caring and will answer all your questions about the food and where it comes from :)

Small Italian restaurant near the castle. With outdoor seating in summer. You feel a bit like you're on vacation there. The Antipasteria has been around for a long time. But I thought I should share the restaurant with other Italy fans 😉 There is no pizza here. What you don't miss here either. The starters and pasta dishes are terrific. There are also changing dishes on a table. We had Bruscetta and Vitello Tonnato first. We then chose pasta with tuna, shrimp and once with black truffle and butter. And once mussels in white wine sauce. We were very impressed by everything. The white house wine is very good! The good service rounded off the lovely evening. See you soon ☀️

Super authentic and small Italian restaurant with a relatively small selection of dishes. Everything is really delicious, homemade pasta and a great wine selection! The owner and the staff are super friendly and humorous. Always worth a visit!

The employees are very friendly and made sure that the guest doesn't wait long for drinks if something is empty. The food was very good, the portion could have been slightly larger. Location is just too small and too loud.

We had made a reservation at this restaurant weeks in advance for the evening of December 17th. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we found the restaurant closed, with a note on the door indicating that their regular days off are Sundays and Mondays. It's puzzling why they would accept reservations for a day they are routinely closed. Please be aware that despite what reservation platforms (like The Fork) may indicate, this establishment is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

very attentive staff, small, cozy restaurant, some seats are a bit cramped, but the great selection of pasta makes you forget everything, the dishes come to the guest hot, the house wine is really tasty.

I reserved a table in the restaurant on December 13th for Friday December 15th and received a confirmation. Today, an hour and a half before our arrival, they called us and said that our appointment was canceled, the reason is unclear. All our plans for Friday evening were canceled. Very poor relationship between the restaurant and its visitors.

Went there for the first time yesterday with a friend and we were very excited. The restaurant is about 5 minutes away from Tiergärtnertor, so very central. The boss came very quickly and showed us the menu, even the large display where everything is at the top. Then the food came just a few minutes after we ordered. The noodles are to die for, so delicious and the plate is beautifully prepared too. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. I can highly recommend the pasta with shrimp and garlic in cream sauce. The friend had the pasta with salmon and white wine sauce.

War gestern mit einer Freundin das erste Mal dort und wir waren sehr begeistert. Das Restaurant ist ca 5 Min vom Tiergärtnertor entfernt, also sehr zentral. Der Chef kam sehr schnell und hat uns die Speisekarte gezeigt, sogar den großen AUfsteller wo alles oben steht. Dann kam auch schon paar Min nach unserer Bestellung das Essen. Die Nudeln sind ein Traum, so lecker und auch der Teller ist schön hergerichtet. Ich freu mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Die Nudeln mit Garnelen und Knoblauch in Sahnesoße kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Nudeln mit Lachs und Weißweinsoße hatte die Freundin.

Service: Aufmerksam, da muss man nicht mehr schreiben. Food: Herrliche hausgemachte frische Pasta und schmackhafte Antipasti. Hier schmeckt man Italien!

Presuming this was a Husband/Wife business, we had reservations for my wife's birthday. No acknowlkedgement, no we can't sit outside... OK. The guy running the show was just flat out rude and non-caring. The woman was the opposite. Showed cared, knew we were not happy with our experience and wanteds feedback. The food took forever. Locals who came later were served earlier. Food was average at best. Pasta very al dente and you only get a tiny bit of cheese. I did not finish my my meal and I'm Italian. I would not recommend this place, as it is also out of the way from city center.

Absolutely enjoyment of Italian food. Noodles are freshly made, together with lovely sauce, really perfect. Service is efficient but keeps friendly. Price is quite reasonable. Will come back again and recommend to friend.

Uriges kleines italienisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliches Personal/Inhaber. Hauptspeise waren ausgezeichnet! Die Vorspeise Carpaccio kostet hier leider den 5. Stern.

Tolles frisches Essen, gut ausgewähltes Menü, passende Preise. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die Straßenatmosphäre mit eng und schnell fahrenden PKWs.

Sehr schlecht dieses Lokal auch als Nürnbergerin zu finden..trotz Maps.. das essen ist hier aber sowas von lecker, nur die Portionen sind wie Vorspeise Teller gehalten, das schon aber ab 16 euro... oder noch mehr ist schon ein wenig teuer....das Lokal ist sehr klein...wenig Platz und bitte unbedingt reservieren!..

Die beste italienische Antipasteria in der Stadt. Selbstgemachte Leckereien, freundlicher Service und tolles Ambiente. Ich empfehle vorab zu reservieren, da die wenigen Plätze schnell belegt sind.

Ich war schon mehrmals in der Antipasteria da Gallo und hatte wirklich jedes Mal einen wunderschönen Abend mit sehr gutem Essen und Wein. Hier trifft die fränkische und italienische Kultur aufeinander. Lediglich einen Stern Abzug, dass man sehr lange vorher reservieren muss (da man sonst keinen Platz bekommt) und der Tatsache, das trotz Reservierung manchmal die Zeit beschränkt ist. Somit ist man evtl. gezwungen auch einen noch so schönen Abend nicht mehr ausklingen lassen zu können. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist hier auf jeden Fall sehr gut!

Egal was ich hier esse, es ist immer sehr lecker 😋!!

Lovely little Italian restaurant. Very unassuming so wasn’t sure what to expect but the service and food were both fantastic. The arrabbiata had just the right spice level and the young goats cheese with walnuts and bruschetta classic starter were super yummy. All topped off with a creamy panna cotta. Would definitely return and wish they could open a branch in London!

I visited this place on March 07, 2020. Was lucky to get a table as the place was almost full. Very cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. And the food was just magnificent! I ordered Vitello Tonato and pasta Frutti di Mare. The portions were really big and unbelievably tasty. Besides german tap beers they had Italian bottled beer as well. I strongly recommend this place. Excellent value for money!!! Suggest to order a table otherwise you might not have a table to sit at.

Wir waren mit 11 Leuten unter der Woche im da Gallo. Es gab eine Antipasti Platte für alle und danach Pasta a la carte. Die Antipasti (Salami, Bresaola, Mozzarella, Käse, eingelegtes Gemüse)waren gut, aber unspektakulär. Das dazugereichte Brot war eher ideenlos. Die Nudeln waren wirklich ausgezeichnet. Al dente mit einer leckeren Sosse. Leider wurde es nicht geschafft alle 11 Hauptgänge zeitgleich zu servieren, trotz ca 40 Minuten Wartezeit. Es ist nicht so schön wenn die Hälfte schon fertig ist und die andere Hälfte warten und zusehen muss. Auch die Aufmerksamkeit und Merkfähigkeit bei Getränkebestellungen sind ausbaufähig. Das Tiramisu war ausgesprochen lecker. Preis /Leistung exzellent, da sowohl Getränke als auch Speisen als sehr preiswert beschrieben werden können. Hauswein auch sehr empfehlenswert und günstig. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert, nur die Gastgeber Performance kann verbessert werden. Aber jederzeit gerne wieder..👍

Die Antipasteria Da Gallo ist zwar in der Altstadt, jedoch etwas versteckt in einer Seitenstraße. Obwohl man hier nicht unbedingt zufällig vorbeikommt, ist das Lokal sehr gut besucht, weswegen ich immer eine Reservierung empfehlen würde. Bei heißen Temperaturen ist es leider sehr schwül im Lokal, wodurch ich nicht nochmal bei mehr als 25 Grad Celsius hier aufschlagen würde. Die Pasta schmeckt hausgemacht, die Tomatensoße fruchtig und frisch. Auf den ersten Blick scheinen die Hauptspeisen preiswert, allerdings schlagen dafür die Getränke und die Vorspeisen kräftig zu. Die Softgetränke sind nur 0,3 L groß, was verbesserungsfähig ist, daher gibt es hier einen Punkt Abzug.
