Delicious food and friendly service. Plus, a lovely sunny terrace to sit outside in the summer. The cakes are also homemade and served in "men's sizes." See you soon :)
The food, especially the gluten-free version of the pizza, was very good! However, I find €4.90 for the gluten-free option quite steep. Another downside is the atmosphere; while it was very pleasant and not too loud, I found the KiKa programs playing on the TV questionable. 🤔
After two years away from work, I returned to Nuremberg with great anticipation to spend an evening at Bodega El Gato.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly. Too much salt in many dishes, smaller portions (baby calamari), the tortilla too dry, and high prices. Two stars because the atmosphere is still good.
We visit this restaurant every few weeks and always order pizzas.
The pizzas are simply delicious!
The crust is crispy and they're always generously topped.
The taste is just fantastic!
The value for money is excellent.
The atmosphere is also very cozy and charming.
All the staff are always very warm and friendly.
We highly recommend this restaurant!
Unfortunately, our service was very poor. The German was bad, the wrong orders were delivered, and they weren't even remotely resembling a waiter. The food was mediocre.
Unfortunately, the service has declined significantly during the pandemic. The last time I was there, my partner and I were completely ignored for a good 20 minutes at our table, so we decided to get up and leave. This was something we never experienced on our previous visits; there was always friendly service, but it seems they've cut staff. Even the mixed grill isn't what it used to be. Now, the whole place is just very basic and average.
The pizzas are delicious, and the tiramisu is also fantastic.
The gluten-free pizza is by far the best we've found so far. It's almost indistinguishable from a regular one.
