Visited for a meal in the break in the Passion Play. The restaurant was very busy but the service was impeccable. The food was delicious and very well presented. Our waiter Lukas was amazing and looked after us very well. Definitely worth a visit

Very good food and delicious wine, although according to the waitress it's no longer a wine bar. Accordingly, a manageable wine selection, but very good. The food is highly recommended and always a pleasure. Very familiar and personal, there is also time for a chat with the staff. It's best to reserve in advance, the restaurant is busy.

The couple who runs the place are two adorable Italian nonni. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. The food was simply amazing. This is a real trattoria in the middle of the Alps! There are two big tables, but we went on a Friday night and were mainly alone. However please make a reservation just in case —there's not that much space!

We have been coming here for years, but of course we particularly appreciate the service and the quality of the food. The daily menu always includes regional, exciting interpretations. Unfortunately, our last visit was really the last, Mundart is closing and with it one of the last good restaurants in the Ammergauer Land, I hope there will be light at the end of the tunnel soon.

We have lived here in Oberammergau for 2 years now and this restaurant has become our second home. The nice people know what we want. As vegetarians we are particularly lucky. As a gluten-free person you have no problems here either. From curry to soup to salad, everything is wonderful and recommended for everyone. The prices are great, especially at lunchtime, for the delicious food. Of course the German is limited, but the food is all the better for it.

Very good pizzas. There was a little bit of sauce on the pasta, so it was a bit dry. It's best to call and reserve. Service very friendly and quick. Parking available, but small.

Traditional shop......nice food....nice beer.....friendly staff....recommend...one of the few very good shops in the area.

That was the worst thing I've experienced so far. We were in this restaurant with several people. The service was totally overwhelmed. You had to talk to her if you wanted something to drink. Nobody came on their own. Nobody cared about us. We waited 2 hours for our food after being told that several items on the menu were no longer available. In the end, raw burgers and unfinished fries came to the table. It was just plain unsavory. We left this restaurant in a hurry. I really can't recommend it to anyone...

Unfortunately it's closed, it's a shame, we always felt very comfortable there and it tasted great. Thank you very much and all the best for the future to the Barnickel family.

An excellent restaurant where we ate delicious fries accompanied by incredible chicken nuggets and a good choice of sauce. The price is more than reasonable, the service is top notch. I highly recommend!

I was actually looking forward to my pizza after I was told it would take 20 minutes, but those 20 minutes turned into 1 1/2 hours. When I asked where the pizza was, all I got back was: The order was simply forgotten and I lost my appetite. When the pizza delivery guy came and said: There's a lot going on today. I thought to myself, Oh, I really didn't notice it at all🙈. And ate my lukewarm pizza, which didn't taste so good anymore. That was the last time I ordered there.
