Hörbis in Oberammergau

We visited this town with a group and found this restaurant by chance. It is charming, the staff were nice and the burger was great. I would have loved if there was a T Shirt with the Cartoon Burger! I also need a better translation of the slogan lol!

We are visiting the area and found this fantastic place. Burgers were so delicious. We ate ‘The Spicy’ and the classic. Both were perfectly cooked and really flavorful.

The burgers are delicious. And the size is absolutely sufficient, so you could happily skip the side dishes (which are also delicious, by the way). The atmosphere is pleasantly quiet, especially since the tourists stream past in droves just 20 meters away. Here on the side street, you hardly notice any of it. We went there twice and were not disappointed either time. The kids loved it.

COME HERE STARVING!!! I would say this is must visit place if you are near by! The burgers were delicous, chilli fries just trully amazing! Good vibes, good music, waitress speaks perfect english. Just come, eat, and regret ordering too much, cause you will want to finish everything. P.S. you can park in front of the place and this is really nice because I had to roll to the car.

We really felt welcome. He also speaks fluent English and there's an English menu, which made things a bit easier for us. Definitely a 100% recommendation if you want a tasty burger or schnitzel and like to support a local spot. Plus, it's very reasonably priced! Local American living here and I had no idea I had to move all the way to the Bavarian alps to have the best burger of my life. My partner and I eat here every other week, she gets the Wedgie and I alternate between the special for that day or the Schoafe. Whatever you decide to get the Chef here takes care to create the best food that can be produced. 10/10 I would 100% recommend

Great, unique place! Absolutely top-notch Burger, just right spicy, but definitely not too spicy. So much French fries that I couldn't eat it all. It was probably the first time I've ever had a burger with grated parmesan cheese in between. Perfect 👍 This will become a regular place I visit when I'm in Oberammergau.

I've ordered and eaten a burger here twice now. It was a spicy burger with a side dish. The first time, I was skeptical when the chef told me all the burgers were good. From the very first bite, I thought I was done for. If you're ever in Oberammergau and craving a burger, I highly recommend this one.

A mix of bar and restaurant bringing together the best of both worlds. The prices are very good. And the food is perfectly seasoned and tastes very tasty. The atmosphere is very cool. Music is a great vibe and the interior is very cozy. The employees were very nice and easy to have a good conversation with. All in all 10/10 can only be recommended

Despite coming in near closing, they welcomed me into this cozy little hideout from the cold and the service was wonderful. I order The Spicy burger, fries and a beer and was treated to one of the best burgers I have had in my life. If you’re a burger lover or a foodie, you gotta eat here!

As a Berliner, I wouldn't have thought that I would have to go to Oberammergau to eat the best vegetarian burger. Hats off! I was a little hesitant because I'm not a fan of eggplant, but the burger is amazing. I can only recommend it. We also had to wait a bit for our food, but that wasn't a problem for us and was communicated by the nice waiters. All in all, I can only recommend Hoerbis!

I had some of the best burgers of all times at this restaurant. The only thing that I would suggest it’d be home made fries, to match the amazing quality of the burgers. I was here for the first time today based on a recommendation. My burger was incredibly delicious! Not free, but the quality is absolutely right. The service was super friendly and always brought glasses to the drinks that you could take yourself from the fridge and cleared them away quickly when appropriate. I was there with a family friend and I would also say that the staff is very child-friendly. I will definitely come back.

Disappointing experience at Hörbis Restaurant ⭐⭐ Unfortunately, our visit to the Hörbis Restaurant in Oberammergau was disappointing. Only the tasty burgers deserve a positive mention here. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, we waited over 50 minutes for our food. A portion of fries that was ordered was completely forgotten and not delivered even after repeated requests. The beer I ordered was also forgotten, even though the order was taken and the place wasn't crowded. This experience with the lack of service greatly affected our visit and unfortunately makes us unable to recommend the Hörbis Restaurant.

If you're looking for a chilled restaurant with excellent burgers then you should definitely try out hörbis. The staff is very friendly and the menu isn't overwhelming with too many choices but has enough to keep you coming back to try new items. The sweet potato fries were amazing and the burgers really are standout. They have indoor seating but if the weather is good then I'd recommend the outdoor seating.

Incredibly good food for little money. The place is hidden in a side street away from the hustle and bustle. We ordered a spicy hamburger and schnitzel, i.e. Polish pork chop, with fries and, of course, Bavarian beer. Super friendly service and we didn't have to wait long for the meal. We paid less than 40 euros for the whole thing, but we added 10 euros because we liked almost everything. Don't be fooled by the less than perfect interior design. The food and service is perfect. Nice, polite, helpful. Everything about the taste sensations was also perfect.

I wish they had a pulled pork burger. the staff is so friendly. i like that they brought out the ketchup and mayo without us having to ask. very beautiful. the bathroom is something out of this world, so modern, so nice. i love it. the booths very comfortable. beautiful painted walls. ive never seen such a tiny salt shaker either. the garlic is a little watery. the wedges are amazing. i got the little and my Dad got the classic. it was so good we forgot to take a picture. we'll have to come back. i wish the melon lemonade wasnt fizzy

Quaint pub, located a little out of the way. Sympathetic owners. Had burgers, chili cheese fries and wedges. The best thing I've eaten so far in every category. Homemade burger buns were awesome, as were the habanero blueberry mayo, very creative. A must for every visit to Oberammergau

We were at Hörbis for the first time today and can only recommend it to everyone. The staff and the atmosphere are relaxed, friendly and open-minded. We felt comfortable straight away. The burgers were delicious! We'd love to come back.

Eher ein unscheinbares Lokal, wie eine Imbissbude, aber die Burger waren sehr lecker und ich habe dort die besten Chilli-Cheese-Pommes gegessen. Man merkt, dass sie das Essen wirklich mit Liebe zubereiten und dementsprechend schmeckt es auch gut. Die Preise sind gut. Es lohnt sich, dort zu essen!

This place suited us as we were looking to escape from Bavarian cuisine. This place surprised us with a fun atmosphere, great food, and awesome employees. We got the Chili-Cheese Fries and the Classic Burger. The fries were really good with a unique cheese sauce, jalapenos, chives and was perfect. The burger was absolutely amazing with grilled onions, and a perfectly cooked patty. If we are ever in the area, we are definitely coming back.

One of the best burger places I have ever visited. They make their own bread, pickled red onions are tasty, and the burger patty is hand made etc. Maybe the only negative issue was a 30 minute waiting time, but they mentioned that beforehand.

Durch Zufall haben wir dieses kleine aber feine Lokal in Oberammergau entdeckt. Nach einem kurzen Anruf haben wir für den selben Abend ein Tisch im kleinen Außenbereich ergattert. Es war fantastisch! Der Inhaber selbst hat uns bedient und das Essen mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Nach einer kleinen Wartezeit konnten wir uns persönlich von den Kochkünsten überzeugen. Es hat sich gelohnt. Die Burger waren fantastisch! Auch die Pommesvarianten waren sehr lecker 😋 . Portionen waren außreichend und haben definitiv satt gemacht! Preis-/Leistung war TOP! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Besser gehts nicht. Junge Familie im schönen Bayern mit Einflüssen aus Studiumsorten Nähe der Niederlande. Damit beste Pommes Bayerns im coolen Titus Laden Flair. Surferwellenflair küsst Berglandschaft. Essen frisch, lecker und gewagt für die Region. Absolute Empfehlung.

Macht alles einen ein wenig schmuddeligen Eindruck ( wenn man die Blumen draußen so anschaut, kommt man ins Grübeln....). Das Essen ist o.k., aber wie es zu all den begeisterten Bewertungen kommt, ist irgendwie nicht nachvollziehbar. Die Jungs sind wirklich sehr nett, das Essen ist einigermaßen in Ordnung, aber die Preise sind überhaupt nicht angemessen. Sorry, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier einfach nicht!

Die Jungs haben es drauf. Knusprige Pommes Frites und leckere Burger. Wird alles frisch gemacht und schmeckt.

Essen war super lecker und absolut faire Preise. Bier hat auch geschmeckt.
