HOTEL ALTE POST in Oberammergau

We stayed at this hotel for several nights and unfortunately discovered that our stay in no way lived up to the standard one would expect for this price. The room was a constant 27°C – regardless of the outside temperature. Restful sleep was out of the question, and there was no remedy available. A refrigerator was broken, there was an unpleasant drain smell, the water temperature in the shower constantly fluctuated, the toilet lid was loose, and a motion detector with a bright light couldn't be deactivated. However, the behavior of the hotel management was particularly disappointing: Instead of offering a solution or at least a discount, they simply suggested we repeatedly change rooms – even though they themselves confirmed that all rooms were the same temperature. The manager responded to our polite comments in an unaccommodating and dismissive manner, saying we should "book a room with air conditioning next time." We did appreciate the breakfast and the comfortable beds. Conclusion: A long list of significant deficiencies, combined with a complete lack of customer focus. We cannot recommend this hotel and strongly advise against booking. Upon checkout, we were only given a waiver of the dog and tourist tax, the extra costs. Given the serious deficiencies, this is completely inadequate; a refund of at least 30% would have been appropriate. Despite waiving the additional costs, the hotel management's behavior seemed odd, especially since we were only informed of this upon checkout. Unfortunately, restful sleep on vacation was out of the question; the room was unbearably hot every night.

The Alte Post is located in a characteristic Bavarian village, and the hotel reflects the local style. The hotel has a long history. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They sometimes dress in typical Bavarian clothing. The food is typical and plentiful. The hotel offers a typical or international breakfast. The property has a parking lot, including for buses.

We stayed at the Hotel Alte Post for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay and the location. Our room was very spacious and perfectly adequate. The breakfast was excellent. We were able to park our car directly in the hotel parking lot. But they should consider new baby cots if they're going to charge an extra €10 for them.

After a strenuous day, we were extremely hungry. After studying the menu outside, which sounded good, we decided to have something to eat here. Even ordering was a bit slow; the seats seemed to have been allocated among the staff. As we sat down, a colleague who was serving elsewhere saw us, but it took another 18 minutes before someone finally came, and then someone else did. The food looked delicious, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite that good. My plate of dumplings, roast pork, and three different sausages wasn't that good. The sausages tasted like they came from Lidl or Aldi, and the slice of roast was small and had been reheated several times; the crust was very dry. All in all, I finished my meal because I was hungry, but I won't be coming here again, especially since the price is a total disappointment.

Stayed for 2 nights.. Finally I found a hotel that provides 100% service. Breakfast is simple but delicious, clean.. Dinner is also excellent.. The hotel is classic, the location is outstanding, but the best thing for me is the staff, especially the staff in the restaurant area.. I will definitely stay here again if I come to visit Germany again..

I had to cancel my vacation with four different hotels due to my mother's sudden death. I canceled the hotel bookings on the very day of her passing. Three hotels were immediately and unconditionally willing to cancel the booking at no cost. Only the Hotel Post balked at this, and the decision-makers charged 80% of the total. While this billing is based on the general terms and conditions, it lacks any empathy. Decision-makers are business cards, and therefore I will never book this hotel again or recommend it to anyone!!!

All in all, it was a nice stay. The comfortable room was a good size, and the amenities were adequate. The location was also well-suited for our activities. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, with a wide selection and everything fresh. Great organic coffee and fresh fruit (unfortunately, it's becoming more and more common for other hotels to only serve canned fruit). Great bread/rolls, and you can even boil your own eggs to your liking. It was a shame that there was no extractor/ventilation or window in the bathroom to get the moisture out. Unfortunately, we couldn't dry our rain-soaked clothes either, as the heating wouldn't turn on. All in all, worth a visit

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The waiter was rather taciturn and seemingly never there. He wasn't really bothered that we had empty plates and glasses sitting in front of us for half an hour. The food itself was rather average. The schnitzel was good, the fries were rather bad.

Located in the center of Oberammergau. The bedding and cleanliness are impeccable. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is truly incredible, both in terms of its variety and quality. I recommend it for families with three children and a dog.

The room is not very clean, after taking a shower I had to scoop water from the floor with a towel, the room smells old, the pillows are terrible. And this is for 240 Euro per night. Parking is on the hotel grounds. Water in the room is 2.50 Euro per bottle. Although it is usually provided for free in hotels. The second time we will find another place to stay. Breakfast is ok, you will not go hungry, but in the summer there are flies everywhere on the tables with food, which is also nonsense.

We spent four nights at the Hotel Alte Post and were absolutely thrilled. Our room (a maisonette) was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is wonderfully equipped. The location in the center of Oberammergau is perfect. All the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, especially the constantly fresh fruit platter. Plus, there's free parking in the courtyard. We highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Great location, free parking. Very friendly reception. The room (a duplex studio) is very recently renovated. Nice bathroom, refrigerator, safe, fan, comfortable bed, and a lovely freestanding bathtub. Housekeeping was excellent, although the tablet, which presumably provides additional information, lacked Wi-Fi. Breakfast was excellent with great service and a wide selection. Local produce and Fairtrade coffee are particularly noteworthy. The food in the restaurant was very good and plentiful. Highly recommended.

We wanted to eat something here, but after an hour, we still hadn't had any food. Despite repeated inquiries, there was no response. The service staff were very unfriendly, and some other guests felt the same way. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all.

We wanted to stop by for dinner late in the evening on June 28, 2025, with four people. We politely asked if there were any free seats. We were rudely told that everything was full. The service staff failed on all levels; they should change their professions!

We stayed overnight at the Hotel Alte Post as a stopover on a trip. The hotel room was super modern and excellent. Unfortunately, the food and service left a lot to be desired. Unfriendly, inattentive, and demotivating. We ordered a rump steak and got a roast beef with onions. The waiter then told us it was the same thing anyway... Oh well. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't great either. Breakfast was okay, but we're used to much better in the area. Too bad!

Of the minuses - the glass curtain in the bathroom was leaking - a lot of water got on the floor, we had to get rid of it. There was bottled water in the room - 2.5 euros per bottle, in my opinion for such a cost of accommodation the water could have been given as a gift

After a long hike, we stopped at the old post office just for dinner. The beautiful location and good outdoor seating were the reason we stopped here. The food was good, but unfortunately, the service was a disaster. We weren't greeted; our menus were literally slammed down on our tables. The waiter couldn't answer our questions, and we were forgotten outside because it was full inside. No greeting when we paid either...

Great location if you want to experience a quaint Bavarian Village. The room was comfortable with windows that open to let in the cool mountain air. Breakfast options were wonderful. The hotel is located in a walkable village with lots of route options.

We stopped for drinks here after skiing and it was lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly. We went for dinner one evening and the traditional food was delicious. Slightly expensive but worth it.

Really a very nice, romantic, quaint hotel in a very beautiful picturesque area. The modernly renovated building from the 16th century impresses with its charm with old wood carvings in the ceiling. Ideal for coming down. Impressive nature with a magical view of the Bavarian Alps. The food also tastes very good, there is definitely something for everyone. Good middle-class and predominantly Bavarian. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the restaurant is really beautiful. The rooms are super clean. We will definitely get lost there again 🙂

When the sun was shining we stopped there for a rest. We ordered a Grüner Veltliner (not edible), a Rissling (it was okay to good) and a semolina dumpling soup (extremely salty and ready very quickly, which is not a good sign...!)y We wouldn't come back!

Beautiful Bavaria bistro+hotel. In central of town. Bathroom updated, new and clean. but bath towel was odd and old , white go grey. Pillow could be better firm, The pillow core is loose and has no shape . Room very clean, thanks cleaning guy. I saw him working so hard, as I left to having my break fast, he immediately start working my room, when I back , the room shining and neatly.

We were there for dinner without a reservation. Which wasn't a problem for the service staff. Food came quickly and was very good. The economy is very cozy with lots of wood. We really liked the chairs, we briefly considered whether it would be noticeable if we took two of them with us, but then we decided not to.

Second time in the same hotel, but this time, we stayed in a very nice studio called Maisonette Studio . It's all new with a bathtub in bed room up . Room is suitable for small families ( 3-4 ) . 2 levels. Wonderful view from Balcony 😍 . The photos in booking.com are for old rooms, so that's why I posted the new photos. Service and team are so good. Food is delicious with enough portions. Breakfast was enough to start a day . Ask for this studio in reservation.

A very popular restaurant primarily due to the attractive hotel, outside tables and location. On food quality itself, it's average. Service was mixed (the elderly gentleman was a bit gruff, the lady was very friendly). Heavy on the beef (typical Bavarian fare). Large portions, just slightly higher prices than normal.

We had a meal in the hotel restaurant, it was very good in a rustic room, we can only recommend it.

Abbiamo pranzato qui in un nuvoloso giorno estivo, il cibo è buono, classici piatti unici molto abbondanti, io personalmente ho preso un piatto tipico bavarese: gnocchi di patate con uova e carne, promosso! E così i miei commensali sono rimasti soddisfatti a fronte di un prezzo in linea con la zona e la Germania (20/25€ a testa). Purtroppo ho dovuto dare un punteggio molto basso a causa della scortesia della cameriera che ci ha servito: al momento dell ordinazione ci ha trattato con sufficienza e scortesia facendo finta di non capire quando abbiamo provato a leggere i nomi tedeschi dei piatti e si è esibita in una lezione di dimensione delle bevande, in quanto a detta sua la birra media non esiste e quello è il formato large… proprio scortese.

Estuvimos alojados en el hotel una familia de 4 personas durante una noche, todo correcto aunque las habitaciones un poco antiguas. El gran problema fue el restaurante, a la hora de cena. Dimos con un camarero que fue muy maleducado con nosotros. Nos entregó la carta en alemán y al venir cuando intentamos decirle el plato como no nos entendió a la primera se fue y nos dejó allí unos 5 minutos sin decir nada. Nos gritaba, nos miraba con desprecio y a parte de todo nos cobró una botella de agua de 0.75 por 8 euros (la cual no habíamos pedido). Su nombre es Velichko Velikov. Una tremenda decepción. En todos los viajes que tenemos hecho, que no son pocos, nunca me habían tratado así de mal.

I had visitors from Canada. She was rented an electric car. The problem was that she couldn't charge this car anywhere in Oberammergau. By chance we were told to go to Mr. Preisinger and he would help us. Mr. Preisinger had a charging station and was kind enough to let us “fill up” with electricity. This willingness to help is extraordinary. In addition, the tourist office refused us the password for the free Wi-Fi "Ammergau" (we would have needed this to use the charging station in front of the Ammergau house) because the Canadian visitor lived privately - so much for "Ammergau hospitality", let alone helpfulness.

In a time that is unfortunately often characterized by excuses (personnel, work ethic, salaries, etc.), the old post office in Oberammergau really stands out. Today we had dinner with 2 people at the Alte Post hotel in Oberammergau. What terrible service. The older waiter who helped us was very unprofessional, unfriendly to the point of being snarky. We always had to wait a very long time before we were served our ordered food and drinks. When we motioned for him to order something else and he saw it, he ignored us and walked away. After dinner, this waiter again did not come to ask if the food had been tasty and if we wanted another dessert. We had to shout again for this. Even with dessert, this man did not understand the hotel's own dessert menu. And 1 dessert was missing ingredients. When I pointed this out he was very upset. When paying we were not thanked politely, but there was a snarl. No, we will NEVER come here again!!!!

Hotel and restaurant customer. My opinion of the rooms is simply clear, everything is perfect, the very comfortable beds, the spacious shower, the soft carpet... As for the restaurant, the general appreciation does not change. Affordable prices for quality local products. A special nod to the breakfast which is abundant and excellent! Terrible and very arrogant service!

Nice hotel but we were housed in the annex (very ugly!) whose rooms are without character and overlook the parking lot. And no one warned us. So ask for the “Haupthaus”, the main building. Excellent breakfast.

Description applies to the restaurant: we arrived here yesterday and wanted to have a coffee. People noticed our arrival here and pointed us to free places. We sat down and waited. The first waiter who noticed us when we arrived ignored us from then on. We then thought that every waiter probably had their tables. The second waiter also ignored us. When three waiters were outside and saw us but didn't come, we felt like we were being taken for a ride. We've been waiting for 20 minutes now. It may be that everyone has their own tables. Either there is poor teamwork there that lets colleagues get in the way or the waiters didn't want us despite my husband's friendly smile. After 30 minutes without service we left. A few meters further on, after just five minutes we received friendly service and were able to drink our coffee.

It is in the center of a cozy small town, yet in a quiet place. Beautifully painted buildings, comfortable, clean room, renovated bathroom, private parking. Delicious food and very nice, helpful staff. I can only recommend!

Vorweg: Das Essen war in Ordnung, es hat soweit allen geschmeckt. Sehr negativ aufgefallen ist uns allerdings der quasi nicht vorhandene Service. Zunächst hat es sehr lange gedauert, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden, womit wir augenscheinlich auch kein Einzelfall waren. Nachdem man uns lieblos drei Karten für fünf Personen (das eine Kind hätte man meinetwegen aus Altersgründen nicht mitzählen brauchen) auf den Tisch geschmissen hat, konnten wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben, wo der Kellner leider auch nicht gerade mit Höflichkeit glänzte. Als das Essen kam, hat man es ohne Rückfrage einfach irgendwo abgestellt, wir haben die Teller dann selber untereinander ausgetauscht. Leider waren zwei Gerichte falsch, welche man uns immerhin durch die richtigen ersetzte, war halt ärgerlich, da der Rest dann schon fertig mit dem Essen war. Immerhin versuchte der Kellner zu beschwichtigen, in er zwischenzeitlich im Vorbeigehen sagte, dass die anderen zwei Gerichte gleich kämen, immerhin. Was ich dann wiederum wirklich noch nie erlebt habe, ansonsten kam nicht ein einziges Mal eine Rückfrage ob das Essen geschmeckt hätte, nicht einmal beim abräumen. Ebenso wie Rückfragen, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten. Wie gesagt, dss Essen war okay, aber so einen schlechten Service habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt, wir sind nicht einmal anspruchsvoll, aber ein paar grundlegende Dinge erwarte ich schon in der Gastro, so haben wir uns einfach nur wie lästige Kundschaft gefühlt, was unseren Besuch unterm Strich schon einwenig vermiest hat.

Spent 2 days in Oberammergau with friends, the location of the hotel was perfect, but the room we booked was a failure, furniture from times long past, carpeted floor on which you should definitely not walk barefoot, mattresses on the bed completely worn out, balcony full sunny side with a view the inner courtyard / what the parking lot is, no sun protection, so not from the rain, the balcony could be swept, for 160 EUR it's just not in the price-performance ratio, but the staff and breakfast are great, big praise to the team!

I ordered a medium rump steak for dinner there today. I got a completely cooked, stringy piece of meat. Ok, it can happen. But then not taking my complaint seriously and having the chef tell me that my “complaint” will not be recognized and that I will get the steak back is an outrage!!! It was obvious that it was well done... Even the nice waiter was embarrassed and offered me a drink as an apology. This way the dry meat slid better 😂 The waiter was great and did a good job, but the chef was a flop 👎

Fabulous hotel. Most staff were very helpful but sometimes we were ignored in the restaurants or left to wait for long periods by 1 particular member of the team. Room was spacious and very comfortable Food was excellent and varied. Breakfast was good. Secure parking. Perfect location and will return in the future.

We just wanted to drink coffee there. That probably wasn't enough for the waitress. Overall the service was very rude. It's a shame because the other waitress at the other table was in a much better mood.

The Alte Post restaurant is poor. For a drink I ordered a shandy and got a large dark beer. When I complained about the order, the waiter apologized and then brought me a large special. That was also wrong but for the sake of peace I didn't complain about it. And it was good that I gave up the alcohol because now the food order came. I ordered a Schwabenpfandl, which is pork medallions with cheese spaetzle, onions and cream sauce. And the waiter brought me a potato pancake with fried vegetables and cream on top. Then I had to wait again until the waiter showed up to complain about the dish. By the time my real food arrived, my wife had long since finished. I could now write more but I don't want to go beyond the scope here and I was able to give an impression.

Das Hotel geht grad noch so aber die Speisen im Restaurant sind unterdurchschnittlich. Bei der Vorspeise Dreierlei Brotaufstrich fehlte ein Teil, nämlich die Kräuterbutter und der Obatzda war ein Industrieprodukt. Bei den Allgäuer Käsespatzen handelt es sich um ein Fertigprodukt denn selbst gemachte Käsespatzen schmecken deutlich besser. Der Grillteller war auch nichts berauschendes. Am aller schlimmsten waren jedoch die Pommes frites denn es war TK-Ware, die man viel zu früh aus dem Tiefkühler genommen hat. Sie trieften vor Fett und hatten keinen Geschmack. Wir haben hier nur einmal gegessen und können nicht begreifen, dass sich manche Hotelgäste, dies mehrmals angetan haben. Fazit: einmal und nie wieder und der Koch hat die Berufsbezeichnung nicht verdient. Tipp, wer das Auto dabei hat bitte die vier km nach Ettal fahren und im Restaurant, das zur Abtei gehört und gegenüber dieser liegt, einkehren. Wir haben drei Abende dort gegessen und es war ausgezeichnet.

Es sollte ein schöner letzter Abend in O'gau werden, bestellt wurde ein Schweineschnitzel für 17,90 €, auf der Rechnung befand sich dann das Kalbsschnitzel für 22,90 €. Auf Rückfrage wurde zuerst seitens des Service mit mir diskutiert, dass ich definitiv ein Kalbsschnitzel hatte - ich denke bei einem Schnitzel, an dem man derartig herumgesägt hat, lässt sich unschwer erkennen, dass es kein zartes Kalbfleisch war (ansonsten richtet sich diese Bewertung eindeutig gegen zähes Kalbfleisch). Nachdem ich weiterhin beharrlich darauf bestanden habe, Schwein wie bestellt bekommen zu haben, verschwand die Servicekraft um Rücksprache zu halten. Nach einigen Minuten kam sie dann mit 2 Obstbränden wieder und entschuldigte sich, allerdings nur dahingehend, dass sie die Bestellung falsch aufgenommen hatte, das ich aber wirklich Schwein hatte, verneinte sie erneut. Es wurde nicht einmal gefragt, ob wir überhaupt Alkohol trinken, sie wurden platziert und damit war es für die Dame erledigt. Das Essen war okay, wenn ich hier allerdings ein Kalbsschnitzel zu bewerten habe, war es nicht okay. Passt lieber auf, was ihr bestellt und bekommt und letzten Endes bezahlt. Fehler machen kann jede/r, allerdings sollte man dazu stehen - und ein Gast beginnt sicherlich nicht bei 5 € die Zeche zu prellen wenn die Rechnung Richtung 60 € geht. Somit ging ihr Trinkgeld in die Rechnung. Säfte und Schorlen waren auch nur knapp unterhalb des Füllstriches befüllt, ein weiteres Manko.

Super bayrische Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung ist sehr schnell und das Essen lecker. Zentral gelegen in Oberammergau immer ein Besuch wert. Die Preise sind für diese Qualität fair. Gerne wieder!

Nourriture (le plat vege Crème aux champignons accompagnée d'une salade)..est en effet plus une crème où il faut compter les qq petites tranches très fines de champignons avec une knodel très lourde..quant à la salade, dommage que j'y ai trouvé UN gros morceau de plastique 2 cm x 1cm environ et pointu, Le serveur informé est allé voir en cuisine..s'est excusé. Pas de réponse obtenue de savoir d'où et comment est arrivé ce platique. Mais malgré son engagement initial de rembourser la salade, nous n'avons obtenu que de la colère du serveur..une tisane de mauvaise qualité et un limoncello pour la personne qui dinait avec moi. Aucun remboursement, j'ai demandé à voir la personne responsable du restaurant..Le serveur est parti desservir une autre table. Je ne recommande pas du tout c'est endroit. La nourriture y est quelconque voir écœurante. Le personnel peu aimable lorsqu'il faut traiter un problème lui incombant . Passer votre chemin..beaucoup d'autres restaurants présents tout aussi bien dans la même rue

Ein bayerisches Gasthaus, welches sehr zu empfehlen ist!!! Derzeit unbedingt erwähnenswert: Es gibt durchgehend eine köstliche Küche und KEINEN RUHETAG. Das ist derzeit wirklich im bayrischen Umland besonders!!! Hier steht noch nicht Work Life Balance im Vordergrund. Chapou!!! Ein urgemütliches Traditionsgasthaus, mit neuem, modernen, aber auch ältlichen, traditionellem Bereich. Für jedermann das richtige Plätzchen. Mit einem hervorragenden Getränke-/Speisenangebot. Sehr gute Preis-/Leistung und einem sehr freundlichen sowie gastorientiertem Servicepersonal. Hier ist der Gast König! Geht's hin, überzeugt Euch selbst, es lohnt sich.

Wir waren zum Abendessen zu viert im Restaurant und es war hervorragend. Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen zuvor nicht verstehen. Service super freundlich, essen war sehr gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Lovely, beautiful hotel on the best possible location. Big, spacious rooms, spotlessly clean everywhere. Good breakfast, excellent parking lot, friendly staff. And yes, there was one older, male waiter at the hotel restaurant, who didnt talk too much and didnt smile, but his service was fast and spotless. And coming from Finland, I fully understand that it is a question of his character, not his attitude towards customers 😂 So enough about those "rude" waitors - he was just fine!

Ich mache es kurz und knapp: Bratkartoffeln roh, von Fett triefend und ohne Geschmack. Wiener Schnitzel Fleisch nicht geklopft oder zu wenig. Die Panade auch von triefenden Fett labberig und ohne ausreichende Würze, Fett war hier wohl nicht heiß genug. Getoppt mit einer hauchdünnen Zitronenscheibe welche sich nicht ausdrücken ließ - echt schade ums Fleisch. Reaktion vom Kellner: Ah Bratkartoffeln waren noch roh ? JA - Aber die Rechnung kürzen oder eine Beilage neu zubereiten, scheinbar keine Option. Aber einen Stern vergebe ich weil die Getränke kalt und inklusive Kohlensäure waren.

Das Hotel ist mitten im Zentrum mit großem Parkplatz. Alle unsere Zimmer waren groß, modern und geschmackvoll. Sehr schöne Bäder. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und ist auf unsere speziellen Wünsche eingegangen. Das Frühstück und das Essen sind sehr zu empfehlen.

In posizione centrale nella parte antica del paese è un punto di riferimento per i turisti che girano per visitare i negozi e le case affrescate. Ci siamo fermati per bere una birra e è stato gradevole. Camerieri un po' distratti e poco empatici ma non si può pretendere troppo... Comunque un buon punto di ristoro.

Das Restaurant „Alte Post“ ist zentral in Oberammergau gelegen und verfügt über eine schöne Außenterrasse. Nachdem wir Sonntagmittag dort einkehrten, konnten wir innerhalb von 30 Minuten keine Bestellung aufgeben. Die drei nicht übermäßig beschäftigten Kellner schafften es weder an unserem noch an zwei daneben befindlichen Tischen, eine Bestellung aufzunehmen. Auf ein Handzeichen wurde belustig zurück gewunken. Auch die Gäste an den Nebentischen, die ignoriert wurden, verließen mit völligem Unverständnis die Terrasse. Zu den Speisen oder Getränken können wir folglich keine Bewertung abgeben, aber zum Glück gibt es in Oberammergau ja Alternativen.

Une étape très agréable dans un joli village typique. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient très grandes. Accueil agréable et professionnel. Très bon petit déjeuner. L'hôtel dispose d'un parking d'accès facile. A noter que le restaurant est très bien aussi.

I was here having lunch many many years ago and the food remains good. The service is very good and polite as timely! When in OBERAMMERGAU whenever, perhaps try having a meal with them. I remind you that during the time of THE PASSION PLAY reservations are required if you are not traveling in a group!

An unserem Abend zog ein Gewitter auf, dennoch war die Terrasse gut besetzt. Als wir nach einem Tisch fragten, meinte der Kellner, wir sollen doch rein, wenn wir nicht nass werden wollten. Wir setzten uns dennoch an einen Tisch, welcher durch das Dach gut geschützt war. Viele Leute waren unter den Sonnenschirmen. Der Kellner, schien sehr genervt zu sein. Als dann das Gewitter kam, sah man ihn nur noch mit Widerwillen, an die Tische zu gehen. Das Essen war ebenfalls nicht von der Qualität, die man von einem solchen Haus erwarten könnte. Der Teller mit dem Schweinefilet und der Champignon-Sauce muss wohl länger in der Küche stehen geblieben sein. Die Sauce hatte schon fast einen Deckel. Das Fleisch war fast durchgebraten. Man hat gemerkt, dass die Touristen in Oberammergau wohl zu Hauf kommen. Die berühmte Allgäuer-Freundlichkeit wurde hier komplett vermisst.

Ich hatte gestern Mittag die große Freude, in Ihrem Restaurant einen geschmacklich sehr guten Schweinebraten zu essen. Fleisch zart, Sauce gut und auch der Knödel. Als ich unseren Kellner, den sehr netten Herrn Adam, darauf hingewiesen habe, dass bei dem guten Schweinebraten leider das übliche Stück knuspriger Kruste fehlen würde, meinte er, das sei in Ihrem Restaurant nicht üblich bzw. gehört bei Ihnen nicht zum Schweinebraten. Das fand ich überaus enttäuschend, da aus meiner Sicht das Stück Kruste immer zum Schweinebraten serviert wird (siehe Foto eines Schweinebratens aus München). Vielleicht überdenken Sie in Zukunft Ihre Strategie bzgl Schweinebraten, sollte er bei meinem nächsten Besuch mit Kruste serviert werden, können Sie von mir mit voller Punktzahl rechnen.
