We always go to El Puente at least once when we are on vacation in Garmisch or Ammergau and have never been disappointed. It's always a great evening for us in a great restaurant. So a clear recommendation from us.

Beautiful location, nice atmosphere, great service, fast and friendly. The food was very tasty and, above all, large portions. Authentic from the service to the food to the furnishings. Delicious freshly tapped beer, prices reasonable and the young waiter was great. The volume was pleasant, there was enough space for the next tables and a great menu.

As always, very tasty, especially the scampi pil pil are first class.

Rarely have Mexican food been so good. The meat is tender as butter, the fries/potato wedges are crispy, the cocktails are delicious. The service is particularly noteworthy. Always a charming smile, combined with an attentive look at the guests and fast service. That and nothing else was a perfect service. If I didn't live in Franconia, this would probably be my favorite restaurant. Keep it up.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and the service is fast. The dish I ordered was well prepared and tasty. I enjoyed my meal.

The location was comfortable, the menu was narrow but focused with mostly traditional takes on Mexican cuisine and a few outliers for people not fond of that style. The drinks were strong but well made, and the service friendly.

A sweet, quaint Mexican restaurant located in beautiful Oberammergau. The restaurant is comfortably furnished with lots of Mexican accents and exudes a warm charm. We were warmly welcomed and the friendly, attentive nature of the service team never diminished for a second of the evening, which really needs to be emphasized here. For the starter we had onion rings, for the main course we had Plato Yucatan and a Mexican burger, all really tasty! The prices are definitely reasonable considering the quality and freshness. You can park anywhere near the restaurant on the street. But you should definitely make a reservation. Thanks for the lovely evening! We felt totally comfortable and will definitely come back!

The most beautiful Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! Big portions, good prices. It's a great store for the village! The waiters are polite and serve you quickly.

The food and staff are great, but it's a shame that you can't even reserve a table in person anymore because it's very complicated and incomprehensible using voice recognition. Therefore, a visit is unfortunately not possible for me in the future.

I sometimes come here with my parents and I like the food, for example the chicken burger, which was tasty with spesti. The spesti gets a grade of 9.5 and the chicken burger gets a grade of 9.4. The chicken burger can become even tastier or it can remain the same. My rating for el Puente is a 9.9 because I like the food and the inside of the building is also beautiful and the toilets are also nicely done

Tonight the food was very good and the service was exceptionally friendly, courteous and competent! The atmosphere is very harmonious and inviting. You feel very comfortable in this very nice Mexican restaurant! The chicken wings and the western burger also taste particularly good. Special emphasis must also be placed on the cocktails that taste excellent, such as the Strawberry Margarita. We can definitely recommend the restaurant and will come back soon!

Fantastically delicious food, nice ambience and friendly staff. The cocktails were a bit strong for my taste, and the portion size of the platter "for those who are undecided" was a bit smaller than expected - although I can highly recommend the nachos baked with cheese - definitely enough for one person as a main course. The (probably homemade) dips are particularly recommended.

Customer service was perfect, atmosphere great, absolutely the worst two half burritos I've ever had in my life. The beef and bean half had corn in it, and the tortilla was dry. The red sauce had some sort of weird curry taste to it (€18).

We were there on a Monday and based on the reviews we expected that we would have a very good Mexican meal. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special, the garlic bread was partially burnt and therefore slightly bitter, and the rice was even served almost cold. The ambience is nice, but we would have expected more "Mexican". Unfortunately only 3 stars.

The Mexican food is okay for being in Germany. As a born and raised Texan that lives within 10 miles of the Mexican border was not what we are used to. But it was okay.

Poor management which is showcased in terrible service for just ok food and drinks. The servers tried to charge us for extra drinks they never brought to our table and then had the audacity to coerce a tip during payment.

I would have given it 4 stars if the waiter had not come, when paying the bill, with a device allowing you to leave a tip by credit card. Tired from the day and distracted, and receiving no explanation from the waiter, my companion almost left a huge tip thinking he had to enter the amount of the bill. So worthy of a nice tourist trap! Otherwise, decent meal

Appetizers were good. Burger and fries were good as well. Mexican food wasn’t good. Fajitas were a chicken and shrimp stew served with corn. Not served on a hot skillet with mixed peppers and onions. Garlic dip was delicious as were the classic and strawberry margarita. Service was slow when the location started to get packed.

We ate very well here on our short vacation. Bringing our dog wasn't a problem either. Waiters were very attentive and friendly. We felt totally at home and can definitely recommend El Puente. Cocktails were delicious too...

I have enjoyed coming here for years. The food and service are simply enjoyable. I can never choose what I want to eat, because it is all very tasty. Over the years, I think the burgers have become a bit smaller, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. If you want to be sure of a table, you have to make a reservation, which fortunately is very easy and smooth via the website.

Important in advance: you should definitely make a reservation. We reserved online about 45-60 minutes in advance. Without this we probably wouldn't have gotten a seat and would have been turned away. So make a reservation if you want to eat there :-). We had never eaten Mexican before and we had our 6 year old with us. That's why we asked in advance whether there was also a children's menu, otherwise we wouldn't have known what we could have ordered for him. It definitely wasn't visible online. But there is a children's menu with various dishes, so luckily we were able to stop in. The ambience is great as soon as you enter and looks good. The service is on point, super friendly and accommodating. Since we had no experience yet, we had various things explained to us and ultimately it was the Plato Yucatan for those who were undecided and fajitas con carne des res and nuggets with fries. The food came quickly. The portions were very large and you were full. In terms of taste, it was a culinary delight. The happy hour cocktails were also delicious. If we are in the area again we would be happy to come back.

When you enter the El Puente Mexican Restaurant in Oberammergau, you are immediately greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings are designed with great attention to detail, which gives the restaurant a charming and cozy character. The service was extremely nice and accommodating. We immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. It is rare to encounter such attentive and friendly service. The food was simply fantastic. We opted for the burgers, and it was an excellent choice. The meat came from the region, which you could clearly taste in the freshness and quality. The burger buns were homemade and gave the whole thing a special touch. The fries that came with it were also great. Finally we tried the ice cream, which was also very tasty. All in all, the El Puente Mexican Restaurant in Oberammergau is a real tip. The combination of excellent food, friendly service and loving furnishings makes a visit a completely successful experience. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it.

The landlord was very friendly, the service was very quick, attentive and friendly despite the high volume and the food was really tasty and plentiful. Price-performance completely fine. The food is very good and fits perfectly with the atmosphere of this place. Unfortunately, when I ordered the beer, the waiting time was really long. The people who came after us were sitting at a table wet with rain and left after 10 minutes because no one showed up to take their order (there weren't many people in the place at that moment). Nevertheless, I recommend it because the food is good and maybe the service just had a bad day that day

The restaurant was full (theater in the passion play house), but we still had the very tasty food quickly! What should be highlighted is the very attentive and friendly service from Dennis behind the counter!

It was a very cozy restaurant, nicely decorated. The staff were super nice and fun, very good service. AND THE FOOD! It was the most delicious fajitas we have ever eaten. It was super good & flavorful, and the portions were generous too! Great restaurant and it was nice with a break from all the german food, with some authentic mexican!

THE hip address in Oberammergau for great food and delicious cocktails!!! There is plenty of seating in the dining room, and there are also plenty of seating options on two terraces during the nice season. The young service team is relaxed and does a really good job!!! There's happy hour for cocktails twice a day, so everyone should get their money's worth 😎 All in all, you just have to be there to see for yourself. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed!!! There are parking spaces right in front of the door.

Food was only lukewarm, the prescribed time slots are annoying. And despite the time slot/reservation, we waited over an hour. Now the boss is opening a second restaurant in Oberammergau. Let's foam. He won't be able to match the delicious Schäufele from his predecessor.
