Ich habe über Lieferanten bestellt und leider neige ich dazu, dort keine Pizza mehr zu bestellen. Ich bin nicht der größte Pizza Fan, aber diese Pizza hat bei mir völlig versagt. Ich würde es von optischen Pizza bezeichnen, aber vom Geschmack völlig inakzeptabel. Alles war super fade, der feta war ohne jeglichen Geschmack, der Gorgonzola den ich dazu bestellt hatte, war nicht da oder man konnte ihn weder sehen, schmecken, richten. Zum Glück hatte ich auch Bruschetta bestellt, dass hat zumindest den restaurant den Ruf und einen weiteren Stern gerettet. Das war wirklich gut. Aber wie gesagt, die "Pizza" furchtbar. Maximal 1 Stern für das Aussehen der Pizza - 3 für den Geschmack. Wie ihr zu den 2 Sternen kommt, jeder kann rechnen ;) Sorry für das negative aber ehrliche Feedback.

Echte italienische Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit gepaart mit höchster Professionalität. Alessio ist ein junger Mann, der sein Handwerk versteht und sich seine Ehrlichkeit und sein gutes Herz bewahrt hat. Das Essen ist besonders sorgfältig zubereitet und von italienischer Qualität – etwas, das ich hier bisher vermisst habe. Vielen Dank! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Pizza mega lecker und super freundlich!

Auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten italienischen Restaurant in der Nähe unserer Ferienwohnung sind wir auf das „La Montanara“ gestoßen. Wir waren zu dritt, haben nicht reserviert, aber dennoch glücklicherweise einen Tisch bekommen, obwohl das Restaurant bereits gut gefüllt war. Nachdem wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben haben (2 x Pizza, 1 x Pasta), kam diese leider versetzt an. Eigentlich hätte ich mich beschwert, man muss jedoch so fair bleiben und sagen, dass es für einen Mittwoch ungewöhnlich voll war und dementsprechend der Service ziemlich ausgelastet war. Da jedoch nach dem Essen der Eigentümer sich persönlich für die Umstände entschuldigt hat, uns 3 Limoncello ausgegeben und dieser außergewöhnlich (trotz Stress) freundlich war, waren wir nicht mehr enttäuscht. Die Pizza war übrigens die beste, welche ich in den letzten 20 Jahren gegessen habe. Hauchdünn, knusprig, mit Mozzarella statt gouda belegt und davon reichlich. Das Ambiente war so, wie ein italienisches Restaurant für mich sein muss…laut (bzw. gesprächig), der Geruch des Pizzaofens lag in der Luft und es herrschte eine gute Stimmung! Daher gehen wir heute Abend wieder hin. Absolute Empfehlung, hier lohnt sich auch die Anreise aus München!

Ich kam als Laufkundschaft ins Restaurant und bestellte insgesamt drei Pizzen. Mir wurde gesagt, sie wären in etwa 20 Minuten fertig. Nach 30 Minuten fragte ich nach, wie lange es noch dauern würde, worauf ich die Antwort erhielt: „Sie ist gleich fertig.“ Nach weiteren 10 Minuten fragte ich erneut nach, bekam aber immer noch keine klare Antwort. (Anmerkung: Andere Kunden, sowohl zum Essen im Restaurant als auch zum Mitnehmen, erhielten ihr Essen innerhalb dieser Zeit.) Nach weiteren 15 Minuten bekamen wir endlich die Pizzen. Da ich aber fast eine Stunde warten musste und vom Personal weitgehend ignoriert wurde, kann ich dieses Lokal absolut nicht empfehlen. (Diese Bewertung wurde bearbeitet, nachdem der Inhaber sie wegen Verleumdung gemeldet hatte. Google hat die Meldung jedoch nach meiner Anfrage zur Veröffentlichung einer Bewertung zurückgezogen.)

Köstliches Essen, super gemütliches Ambiente, aber vor allem unglaublich aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Wir sind begeistert, diesen Ort gefunden zu haben 😊

Unterirdisch! Lieferung 45m zu spät. Pizza fad, labbrig und extrem spärlich belegt. Salat mit fauligen Gurken und matschigen Tomaten. Tagliatelle mit Scampi verbrannt und übersäht mit schwarzen Bröckchen, das ganze Gericht schmeckte ranzig. Die Hälfte der Bestellung landete im Müll. Nie wieder, schade um das ehemalige La Montanara.

Wir waren zwischen Weihnachten und Silvester dort mit 6 Personen essen. Wir haben am selben Tag noch reserviert und glücklicherweise noch einen Tisch bekommen. Es war fast jeder Tisch besetzt und was sofort auffiel, es war zu wenig Service vor Ort. Es war tatsächlich etwas „chaotisch“ (nicht böse gemeint), aber man hat kleinere längere Wartezeiten oder den abbestellten Schinken auf einer Pizza (und die Pizza kam dann doch mit Schinken :-) ) auf nette Art und Weise wieder gut gemacht. Das Ambiente war authentisch, aber schon alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wenn man den Pizzabäckern bei der Arbeit zuschaut, weiß man das diese sehr viele Pizzen herstellen müssen. Was toll war, dass alle Pizzen wirklich zeitgleich am Tisch waren. Und die Pizza war unfassbar lecker. Ich habe sicherlich schon viele Pizzen gegessen, aber diese hat mir richtig gut geschmeckt. Der Boden schön dünn, der Rand nicht zu dick und der Belag geschmacklich auch perfekt gewürzt. Auch die Vorspeisen wie Bruschetta und Carpaccio waren lecker. Für Dessert war leider kein Platz mehr im Bauch. ;-) Fazit: Wer authentisch italienisch essen möchte, sollte hier reservieren. Wir würden wieder kommen, falls mir mal wieder in der Nähe sein sollten. :-)

Wir waren über Weihnachten hier. Pizza 🍕, authentische neapolitanische Pizza. Alle Pizzen waren köstlich. Wir hatten die mit Brokkoli und Wurst. Sehr freundliches Personal. Der Kellner war, ganz im neapolitanischen Dialekt, freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Er begrüßte die Gäste auf tadellose und sehr angenehme Weise. Wir kommen aus Palermo und fühlten uns wie Freunde. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Ausgezeichnete Qualität zu einem guten Preis. Sehr empfehlenswert. 👍👏 Wir sehen uns diesen Sommer wieder!

Lecker! Das Essen war wirklich super und ausgefallener als erwartet (siehe Pizza auf dem Bild). Auch die Pasta war klasse und richtig am dente. Die Atmosphäre ist allerdings eher spärlich und zusammengewürfelt. Nicht abschrecken lassen! Es lohnt sich!

Wer köstliche italienische Küche sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und der Service hervorragend; hier kann man wunderbar mit Familie und Freunden essen gehen.

I ordered my pizzas especially for my son, adding an extra topping to his pizza! What happened? It only arrived after I called about 45 minutes later! And then it was the wrong one! We ate it anyway because we were so hungry. But I wouldn't recommend ordering from them again!

Die Pizzen sind außergewöhnlich lecker und werden mit viel Können und erstklassigen Zutaten zubereitet. Das gesamte kulinarische Erlebnis ist von hoher Qualität und macht dieses Restaurant zu einer ausgezeichneten Wahl für Gäste, die sowohl Geschmack als auch Komfort suchen.

Wir waren uns bei unserer Ankunft nicht ganz sicher, ob es geöffnet war (im O'gau ist diese Woche wenig los). Es befindet sich im zweiten Stock. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Die Bedienung war schnell, freundlich und unaufdringlich. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The restaurant is accessed via a staircase and has a traditional interior with a beautiful bow window. It's a restaurant-pizzeria with a non-regional menu, but the atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff seem southern Italian to me. The grilled vegetable pizza and thin-crust Margherita pizza were very good, although, for my personal taste, the tomato sauce was a bit sweet. The espresso coffee was very good. The bathroom was small but usable and spotlessly clean. When I'm abroad, I usually only eat at restaurants serving local cuisine, but I'll be back here to give my liver, after German cuisine, a break. The price/quality ratio is very good.

Ladies and gentlemen, you can feel the Italian spirit here: generous, tasty dishes, and a warm, southern-style welcome! I'll be back and highly recommend you try it. I personally tried the montanara appetizer and tagliatelle with mushrooms...absolutely delicious.

Food OK/good, good selection, nice and warm athmosphere. Unfortunately service at the time was a bit shaky and rather slow. My friend was first served with cold lasagne.

In this place, we've reached the point where an intelligent person can no longer reflect on food... you get beaten by their employees for a correct thought, they destroyed two pairs of my glasses, hitting me while I was arguing with the owner because of their carelessness with the food and food preservation... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE BECAUSE OF THE TREATMENT AND OF THEIR EMPLOYEES, given that he is a chef/pizza maker, said by their employee before being beaten, luckily for me by an incompetent and inept person who only caused material damage! Be wary of these semi-Italian environments but which in the end only demonstrate Italian Naples in the world.

I am an Italian American from Bari and also an American from Bari. In Spring 2025, asked the owner/chef for something traditional/neapolitan. He made me "Cozze co'le patate"...mussels and potatoes. I was in heaven. He and his father were amazing. The cozze and patate, con rosmarino e un po' di pepperoncino reminded me of my childhood. This place is amazing. I'm a southern Italian, and I love Napolitini, but the owner made me love their food. For any American, this is a MUST go. Take your wives here. The only decent Italian restaurant in Oberammeragau. If you want a proper pizza, come here. The owner is from Naples.

We were passing through and the kids wanted pizza. We ordered three pizzas. All three were delicious and crispy, and slightly larger than the edge of a plate. We paid €10.80 each for the ham and salami pizzas. Unfortunately, the drinks are a bit too expensive; we paid €5.20 for a 0.5-liter drink, whether it was Coke, Fanta, or orange juice. Highly recommended, and we'd be back!

After a week of touring Bavaria, tired of German or pseudo-Italian cuisine, during our visit to Oberammergau we stopped at the restaurant "La Montanara" and had a truly positive experience! We chose the cartwheel pizza, cooked to perfection, light, and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and you immediately feel at home thanks to the warm welcome from the staff. It's one of those places where you don't just eat well, but also experience a convivial atmosphere that makes everything even more enjoyable. In short, a piece of Italy (the real one) in a small town in the Bavarian Alps!

I've rarely had such a good saltimbocca. Not for those who don't like garlic, but it was truly delicious. My husband had the pizza calzone and was also very impressed. Special requests, such as garlic oil, were also fulfilled. Unfortunately, the technology wasn't working so well that evening, which significantly impacted the flow, but that didn't detract from the quality of the food.

We dined two nights at this delicious Italian restaurant. The service was beyond friendly: a smile and a good mood, courtesy of a genuine Italian native of Naples. Three pages of pizzas à la carte, with delicious thin crusts and generous toppings, and also pasta dishes, along with good Italian wine. We highly recommend this restaurant.

If you want to eat here, it's best to pre-order or show up right after opening; otherwise, you'll have to be extremely lucky to snag a table, at least on weekends. It's worth it, though; the food is very good and a change from the typical Bavarian fare.

We ordered pizza to take away, and 15 minutes later, I received the best and tastiest pizza I've had in a long time. Very friendly service and, in my opinion, a lovely atmosphere. You can practically see the stone oven if you want.

From the outside and even from the stairwell, La Montanara doesn't initially look particularly inviting or like a good place. Those who venture further will be rewarded. This Italian restaurant focuses on its well-known dishes, but also offers a menu with very unusual pizzas at equally reasonable prices. You should try them, as they're a pleasant surprise not only from a culinary perspective but also for the eyes. Overall, however, the food is convincing. The dining room isn't particularly large, which creates a somewhat cozy atmosphere. However, the ambiance isn't truly outstanding. The service is very attentive. Intolerances are taken into account, and solutions are offered. Special requests are accommodated. Particularly noteworthy: On the way to the table, the waiter noticed that the special request hadn't been honored. So he disappeared back into the kitchen with the food, only to serve everything as requested a short while later. First-class! What unfortunately doesn't work so well: The food is brought to the table at longer intervals, so the first people to arrive (have to) start early to avoid the risk of the food getting cold. The food prices are generally moderate. The drink prices make you realize you're in Oberammergau and not somewhere in Upper Bavaria. The portions are generous. Overall, a recommendation, and we'll gladly return.

Reservations went smoothly on the same day. We were satisfied with both the food and the service. Service and ordering were very quick, and the food didn't take long to arrive. We were there at 6 p.m., so it wasn't too busy yet. However, reservations are recommended, as it gets busy after 7 p.m. on weekends. The ambiance is typical of a typical pizzeria. We would recommend a visit.

We went to Oberammergau for five days last week. What can I say: this restaurant is so fantastic that we went to La Montanara three evenings in those five days 😇 The food is simply delicious, whether it's pasta dishes or pizza, you can always find something. The portions are filling and the prices are reasonable. The staff are really friendly, especially the manager, who is very accommodating and fun with our children. The lady behind the bar was also very loving ❤️ So, long story short: if you're in Oberammergau, pay these lovely people a visit, it's worth it.

You must first learn to eat, because if that's quality, you're used to eating really badly. The pizzas are pure crap, not to mention the cooking. Most of the prizes hanging are bought, and the rest belong to those who actually won them... like the newspaper article that you came in second for quality, etc. All bullshit, because you didn't even participate in the competition in Munich and the prize isn't yours. Back to the quality of the food...always check what you're eating, especially the meat, which is frozen when it looks like it has a tumor. I'll conclude by saying that it's the worst place in Oberammergau.

We went there with the Schlemmerblock (a German restaurant). The staff was consistently friendly, the pizza was absolutely delicious, large, and reasonably priced. Luckily, we were able to eat outside in front of the pub. It wasn't as inviting inside. While everything was clean, the decor was more reminiscent of an old village pub.

Authentic Italian food, stone-baked pizza, excellent wines, everything really good! The wait was a bit long, but with the great weather and atmosphere, it was simply lovely to linger there! I'd go back anytime and recommend it to anyone looking for a top Italian restaurant in Oberammergau! Thanks for the excellent service!

A very friendly welcome. Service was also very friendly, although some things were a bit late. Unfortunately, the food left a mixed impression. The pizzas were absolutely excellent. Very large, perfectly crafted, and very flavorful. The pasta was good, although the cold prawns didn't go well with it. The risotto, unfortunately, was nothing. At best, it could be described as rice with smoked salmon and cream sauce. The starter was also nothing. The beef carpaccio was OK, the salmon carpaccio was ready-made slices of salmon with chanterelle mushrooms. (?) Conclusion: A good place for pizza, everything else has potential.

Fear the positive! We were a large group of people, the Italian gentleman in our group helped with the organization, and everyone got great food and enough drinks. I was in the pizza line, but the group also ate risotto and various pastas. Everyone was happy with their choice. A warm recommendation, worth stopping by if you are in these areas.
