Piccola Toscana in Oberammergau

We were craving some pasta while visiting Oberammergau and came across this place. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the food at all. Both pasta dishes lacked flavor, as if they didn’t have enough sauce or the right ingredients. We were hoping for fresh pasta and authentic Italian food! The service was okay and friendly. There are some paid parking spots available about 50 meters up. You can pay with coins or download the Parkster app to pay and track your parking, as there’s a 2-hour maximum 2hrs.

The pasta was properly cooked and affordable. More importantly, the atmosphere was genuinely friendly and inviting in this small charming establishment. The owner engaged all his customers with a warm Italian embrace. We had a delightful evening conversing among multi-languages.

Ristorante semplice e dal cibo fresco e genuine. Molto buone gli antipasti e le paste, tutte ottime. Molto buone anche le birre.

Great little Italian restaurant with a great price quality

An older Italian couple who came from Italy in 2014 serve outstanding authentic Italian food. She cooks and cleans and he serves and greets in multiple languages including English. My wife kept raving that it was the best Bruschetta and it was perfectly prepared. The spaghetti bolognese was perfect too.

We ate there yesterday and were given a really warm welcome. Without having to ask, two seat cushions were brought for my daughter so that she could get to the table more easily. The host was very nice and personable and the food was delicious. If we are here again on vacation we would like to go there again

Great spaghetti, friendly service and the ambience on the street is also fine. The wooden chairs are a bit hard, I prefer some padding.

So how do I best start? The restaurant is really very good. It's small but nice. The couple who work here are very sweet. They are so nice and cheerful that I personally feel better when I'm there. The food is also great. So if you want to eat good carbonara then you've come to the right place - the same goes for the delicious lasagna.

Really love this place. Great Italian couple run restaurant, has a slightly chaotic Italian vibe at times but that add to the whole experience. Food is exceptional and owner/manager is superb 'host'. It is small space so sometimes you may need to share tables with others or eat at the bar, but worth it for great priced Italian.

Great place with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The Penne Arrabiata was just amazing. The Spinach Ricotta filled tortellini was delicious. And the Tiramisu was also very very good. All in all, we had great food and a very good experience here. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic hidden gem in Oberammergau. Adriano and his wife are both legends... he is a fantastic front of house host and his wife's cooking is excellent... we recommend the truffle ravioli and lasagne (if there's any left : we had the last 2 pieces 😊👌). There are only 2 tables so space is limited, but be prepared to share so others can enjoy this lovely place. We ate here twice during our stay as the food was so good (and there are lots of good restaurantsto try). Highly recommended from Eloise, Des and Konrad

Go have dinner here tonight! My family LOVED this place and we can’t wait to come back next visit! Super sweet husband and wife team.. Husband is the server, wife is the amazing chef.. they moved here from Tuscany! The truffle ravioli was easily the best we’ve ever had in any country. Super fresh ingredients.. cleanest restaurant I’ve ever seen! They were so kind and flexible with our young daughters wanting to switch tables and move to the gorgeous outdoor seating. My 5 yr old tried pasta bolognese for the first time in years and ate half my plate! Their homemade tiramisu paired with an espresso could bring you to tears. (And it’s an easy, relaxing walk along the river with gorgeous Mountain View’s afterward!) The entire place was SO clean, too!

Even in Italy I haven't eaten such good penne arrabiata. The small restaurant is run by an Italian couple. Guests receive a very warm and friendly welcome. I can only highly recommend it.

We found this cozy small cottage by accident after a hike years ago. A kind Italian man is serving the guests while his wife is cooking real homemade dishes. We came back after many years and it’s the same quality in everything. I hope I can come back again!

This was my favorite meal in all of my travels. Ran by a husband/wife, who were very kind to us tourists. The place is very small but feels cozy. We did not have a reservation but were offered a seat at the bar and ordered from there. I got the Lasagna and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in my entire life. I wish google would let me give it 10 stars, instead of just 5. The lasagna was that good and the owners that friendly. If I’m ever anywhere near this part of the world again, I will go out of my way to come back here.

Cozy restaurant, super nice staff, amazing food (especially their panna cota desert). Do remember to reserve though, the place is small, we were lucky to get a table outside.

Veel goeds over gelezen, dus toen het gisteravond al vol zat, meteen voor vanavond gereserveerd. Ook onze 🐕 was welkom. Vooraf een heerlijke bruschetta van de chef gedeeld met mijn vrouw, begeleidt met een lekkere rode Chianti wijn. Als hoofdgerechten verrukkelijke spaghetti carbonara en verrukkelijke spaghetti met gorgonzolasaus en walnoten. Deze begeleidt met een heerlijke Sangiovese rode wijn. En als toetje een verrukkelijke panna cotta met aardbeiensaus. En afgesloten met, zoals het hoort een espresso. En de sfeer met de andere gasten en vooral ook met de vrouw en heer des huizes, onbeschrijfelijk mooi. Zo gezellig, gemoedelijk, een geweldige avond. We komen terug zeker weten. En voor de vrouw en chef des huizes, veel plezier volgend jaar in Giethoorn en geniet daar onder andere van de stroopwafels.

Wir hatten Glück und haben im Aussenbereich noch einen Tisch bekommen - uns war gleich klar, dass das keine schnelle Nummer werden kann, denn die beiden Wirtsleute haben den Laden allein bewirtschaftet + tatsächlich war dem auch so > aber egal das Essen hat dafür entschädigt darauf gewartet zu haben!! Allein die freundliche Art und Weise wie die Wirtsleute agieren ist schon einen Besuch wert! Die Preise sind ortsüblich + in Ordnung!

Ein süßes kleines italienisches Lokal Man sollte mit Zeit hingehen ....Adriano arbeitet mit Muße und in aller Ruhe. Vorbestellen wäre auch gut Sehr lecker....bruschetta alla Chefin 👌 Die carbonara sind sehr würzig ....dagegen die penne porcini sehr laff Die panna cotta sehr lecker 😋 Das Tiramisu eher wässerig Das Ambiente......sehr gemütlich und die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich .....da schaut man schon mal über Kleinigkeiten hinweg 😉 Alles in allem ein schöner Abend Dankeschön

Posto incantevole, cibo ottimo, una delle carbonare più buone mai mangiate! Gestito da una coppia di toscani simpaticissimi, di cuore. Se passate da Oberammergau dovete venire in questo piccolo meraviglioso ristorante.

Ambiente familiare, personale educato e gentile. È difficile trovare cucina Italiana all'estero che non soffra delle influenze del posto... qui la cucina è gestita interamente dalla Signora Rosy che propone dei piatti tipici Italiani fatti con tanta passione e amore per la propria terra. Adriano il "capo sala" ha sempre il polso della situazione e tra una battuta e l'altra ti conduce abilmente per tutta la durata della tua esperienza, si perché di questo si tratta. Per chi valorizza il lavoro non può che apprezzare la passione che questa coppia mette nel mandare avanti questa attività a misura d'uomo.

Un posto meraviglioso, dove si respira aria di Italia e si mangia veramente italiano. Fabiano, il titolare, è un signore di Lucca, trapiantato ad Oberammergau, da una decina di anni. Lui (simpaticissimo) e la moglie (dolcissima signora, fiorentina doc) gestiscono questo piccolo locale, con amore e simpatia. Pochi piatti nel menù, ma se vuoi sentirti a casa, DEVI assolutamente andare alla "Piccola Toscana".

Quaint little Italian place in a little cabin off the street. The owners were very polite and talked to me in Italian to give me practice. I ordered the lasagna. If you don’t get there early it will be gone by the time you do. It’s handmade everyday and she only makes a pans worth of the five layers of goodness. I asked for bread to give them a clean plate back. For “dolce” I ordered the pannacotta with strawberry sauce. It has the perfect texture and cooled my insides on a hot day. Great meal!

Hervorragende Spaghetti Carbonara und auch die Lasagne 1a. Der kleine "Biergarten" wird den Gerichten nicht ganz gerecht. Dafür der Service um so mehr. Würde ich näher wohnen wäre ich Stammgast.

SUPER!!! Die kleine Piccola Toscana ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Wer auf Nummer sicher gehen möchte, sollte reservieren, denn es ist sehr klein. Wir hatten aber Glück und haben einen Platz an der Theke bekommen. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und die Küche ist authentisch und sehr sehr lecker. Die Gerichte auf der kleinen Karte werden frisch zubereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Liebevolles, freundliches, preiswertes kleines italienisches Lokal. Sehr kleine Speisekarte fast ausschließlich Pasta. Dafür stimmt die Qualität. Prima 👍

Highly recommend. This is exact type of restaurant that gives you a good feeling. Italian owners, authentic cuisine, great ambiance. The owners are Italian, they are welcoming, passionate and the restaurant makes you feel like you are eating at their house, very cosy. My husband and I had the best time. We shared some Bruschetta and then I tried the Carbonara with amazing wine (see photos)🤌🏼. Loved it!
