We had an excellent lunch here and got to eat outside. The German Mac and Cheese was wonderful! Maybe the best I have ever had. The dish was huge, and the cheese sauce was light and tasty with fried onions sprinkled on the top. Our friend had a braut with fries that he said was very good. He also enjoyed the Paulaner beer. Our other friend had roasted pork with brown sauce and mashed potatoes. She said it was good, but too much for lunch. We all liked this place very much and would stop by again!

Sehr empfehlenswert ist die „Riesen-Currywurst“ mit Pommes! Gute Portionen zu angemessenem Preis. Auch die Käsespätzle waren sehr lecker ! Es gibt einen Parkplatz hinter dem Restaurant (2€ pro Stunde)

The best Bavarian food I‘ve tried

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Nachmittag verbracht. Der Schweinsbraten war ein absolutes Highlight. Alles hat perfekt gepasst. Gerade wenn man gesundheitlich sehr angeschlagen ist, genießt man solch eine Zeit wie einen Kurzurlaub. Und auch mein Hund Hubsi war ein gern gesehener Gast. Ich komme ganz sicher wieder.

Wir haben den Schweinebraten und das Geschaufelte, das ist die Schulter vom Schwein wurde uns erklärt, gegessen. Der Geschmack war einzigartig, das Ambiente bayerisch und sehr angenehm. Es hat uns richtig gut gefallen!

Excellent traditional food. Great atmosphere. A big thank you to the staff who made the effort to speak English to us, sadly we are useless at speaking German, typical British people :D I would recommend this place. Bare in mind that they only take a cash payment, no cards.

Der Schweinebraten, den ich gegessen habe, war äußerst zäh und trocken. Keinerlei Fett und von Kruste ganz zu schweigen. Der Semmelknödel war ganz in Ordnung. Sowohl von der Größe, als auch von der Konsistenz. Der Krautsalat war etwas fade. Ein wenig mehr Gewürze und vor allem Kümmel hätte es gebraucht. Die Wirtin war nett und höflich.

Bedienung war sehr nett, Essen war ok, aber nicht so gut, wie wir aufgrund der anderen Bewertungen erwartet hatten, die Frikadelle war verbrannt. Sonderwünsche werden jeweils mit 2 Euro berechnet, bedeutet der Wechsel von Kartoffelsalat zu Bratkartoffeln zur Bratwurst für unsere kleine Tochter kostet 2 Euro. Dies ist in der Karte zu lesen und wir wurden vor der Bestellung transparent darau hingewiesen, trotzdem hinterlässt es einen negativen Beigeschmack.

War schon mehrfach dort essen, eher gezwungener Maßen wegen der Familie.. Das Essen ist geschmacklich und qualitativ gut, aber: Man bekommt zu einem riesen Schnitzel 17ml Ketchup, auf Nachfrage bekommt man weitere 17ml.. Mayo haben sie gar nicht. Wieso??? Das kann man nicht rational erklären. EC Kartenzahlung gibt es auch nicht. Willkommen im Mittelalter. Kein Plastikgeld, dafür aber Plastikbeutel für Portionsketchup. Getränke überzogen teuer.

Meine Frau und ich waren in Oberammergau zu Besuch und sind hier zum Mittagessen eingekehrt. Es gab das Wiener Schnitzel und das Teller-Rösti. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und die Portionen groß. Insbesondere das Teller-Rösti mit Käse überbacken war sehr mächtig zu essen. Obwohl ich ein guter Esser bin, habe ich es nicht annähernd geschafft, der würzige leckere Käse macht einfach zu satt. Vielleicht ein bisschen weniger Käse, denn es ist wirklich schade, diesen wegzuschmeißen. Als Nachspeise gab es einen Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis. Ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die Preise sind nicht günstig, aber für gutes Essen muss man auch einen anständigen Preis bezahlen.

We went here for lunch during our visit to Oberammergau in August 2022, also because they had a table free in their outside seating area. The menu is tipically Bavarian. The food is very good, prices are moderate. Service was good as well, so a place to return.

A pleasant typical restaurant in Oberammergau. We tired the broth which was tasty and just right for a cold day. You can sit outside and watch people go past - almost all tourists. Fine for a beer and light food.

Locale super spartano in stile bavarese. Chiediamo il menù in inglese e ci dicono che non c'è...come se tutti sapessero leggere il tedesco. Nel dubbio ordiniamo un piatto con wurstel e patatine. Ci portano un piatto con nr. 1 wurstel normale e patatine da fast-food + una bottiglia di acqua minerale. Il tutto per la modica cifra di 31€. Vergognatevi! Mai più!

Noch nie in meinem Leben hatte ich so ein schreckliches Erlebnis in einem Restaurant. Wir haben in diesem Restaurant versehentlich einen Teller umgeworfen und ihn zerbrochen. Die Kellnerin kam herüber, um mich anzuschreien, und sagte, ich solle die Scherben selbst aufheben – mit bloßen Händen. Ich dachte, ich hätte es falsch verstanden. Nein. Dann ging ich hinein, um mich zu entschuldigen und hoffentlich die Situation zu klären, sie beschimpfte mich weiter, sagte mir, dass ich den Teller bezahlen sollte und dass meine Kinder (1 und 2 Jahre) schlecht erzogen wurden, wie ihre Kinder nie zerbrochene Teller in Restaurants. Egal, dass es tatsächlich mein Mann war, der den Teller umgeworfen hat, nicht die Kinder. Ich traute meinen Ohren nicht. Ich habe mich noch nie in meinem Leben so gedemütigt gefühlt. Worte können meine Wut und meinen Unglauben über diese schreckliche Behandlung nicht ausdrücken. Nie wieder.

Heerlijke plek om wat te drinken of te lunchen, een plek waar de locals ook komen eten en drinken. Heerlijk geluncht voor een goede prijs. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Meermaals terug gekomen als we in de buurt waren.

Wer typisch bayrisch essen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Das Ambiente und der Service sind super. Freundliche Bedienung, die Spaß an ihrer Arbeit haben. Wir hatten Sauerbraten und Kasspätzle mit einem Salat dazu. Der Sauerbraten war mega zart und der Salat knackig. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Nous nous sommes arrétés à ce restaurant au hasard. Et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Très bon accueil du serveur et même si on était de passage a été d'une extrème gentillesse. Absolument rien à redire. C'est efficace, rapide et bon. Je recommande fortement.

Abbiamo pranzato presso questo ristorante nel nostro ultimo giorno di vacanza, dopo aver visitato la piacevole cittadina di Oberammergau. Il ristorante ha sia posti all’interno che all’esterno: noi vista la piacevole temperatura ci siamo seduti all’esterno. Il menù è solo in tedesco ed è anche piuttosto corto il che è garanzia della immediata preparazione dei cibi e del fatto che siano freschi. Il mio bimbo ha preso una piccola cotoletta con le patatine, invece noi abbiamo preso dei cordon bleu con insalata di patate… ci siamo poi accorti che c’era un bel menu del giorno con del pesce e che avremmo potuto assaggiare ma era troppo tardi! Da bere le immancabili due classiche birre ( hanno anche la birra dell’Oktoberfest ma noi non l’abbiamo assaggiata ) conto veramente onesto 29€!! Mangiato bene, molto cordiale la cameriera! E ci hanno anche regalato un lecca lecca!

Very nice food, good portion size, fairly priced, good value for money. Pleasant atmosphere. Staff welcoming and could speak English fluently. Will go there again, hence recommend this location.

We just went here for a drink at lunchtime but we saw the food served to other people it looked very good with very generous portions. It definitely looked a good place to go for a meal.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel receptionist when I said we were looking for good local cuisine. It took Forever for anyone to acknowledge us. I was ready to leave (as the menu is quite limited too) when we were finally given menus. Then another long wait ensued! Food was ok - nothing to write home about (we have better German food at a restaurant near us in Florida) and when we tried to pay with credit card were told they don’t accept them (nowhere did the menu or outside state this). We were lucky to have the euros on us- barely! I would have ordered dessert but feared another wait!

Traveling with our tour group, we stopped for a couple of hours in Oberammergau to shop and have lunch here. We chose Zur Tini, sitting outside, it was a very nice pleasant day to have a refreshing rest here. It was very crowded in town, probably as usual, because this town is definitely a must see place. We had to wait a very long time for service and our order, but, the food was very good and everything else was fine. They could probably use more help to make that experience better for all the tourist who pile into the town repeatedly I'm sure all the time. Just don't miss seeing lovely Oberammergau in Bavaria Germany!

Cozy and inviting atmosphere with food and service that is sure to delight. The Bavarian decor is classic and warm. The service is friendly (with a smile!) and prompt. The food is tasty and classic dishes were among the best we ate in the region. Even children will love this little gem.

Having earlier lived in Bavaria for many years I have a wide experience of Bavarian restaurants. I thoroughly recommend this small "Gastaette" for it's great food such as Wiener Schnitzel, Schwabenpfanne and also their Rumpsteak was excellent. All served with good side salads. Good service along with a range of Paulaner beers makes this the local restaurant I wished I had had when I lived in this part of the world.

After a morning of hiking, my husband and I went to the Zur Tini for lunch. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff is wonderful. But the standout was the food. Holy cow! It was the best meal I've had in ages. I ordered the delicious sliced pork belly and it was crispy and mouth-wateringly good. My husband had the smoked pork and loved it, too. The sauerkraut was wonderful and complimented the pork nicely. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time I'm in town.

Been here several times in the past. This year was a returning. Happy to see the Bavarian classics are still served. Schäufele (pig shoulder meat). Fantastic. My wife wanted and got a Putenschnitzel huge without being ridiculous). Menu is limited to classics. Place quickly fills up - with locals. Few tourists. They are wrong. What is served is simple but excellent. Will return ( if not full - as is often the case).

Our last full day in Germany we went to Linderhof Palace and then on to Oberammergau. It was a wet day and after walking through both, we were ready for some good German food. We asked a local and they suggested Zur Tini Weinstube. The restaurant was almost full, but we were happy to be in out of the rain and were seated quickly. I ordered their soup of the day and my husband ordered the pork shoulder. Both dishes were excellent as was the local beer! Our waitress was very nice, spoke English (which we were both happy about as our German was exhausted after Guten Tag) and engaging. The price was very modest and we were more than satisfied with our visit.
