Reservation was forgotten, so we waited almost 1 hour in the cold, windy beer garden to get a place for 2 people inside, the house was full, only 2 waitresses were seen, and they were therefore very overloaded and therefore uncaring and unfriendly. Fries were so over-seasoned that only half could be eaten. You need an extra drink for this.
Were there for schnitzel day (15.90 euros) plus 1x side dish of salad and 2 shandies for 33.20 euros per person.
Very expensive for not recommended.
Too bad
Our visit to Ronnie Biggs - Burger & Drinks in Ulm was unfortunately disappointing. Here are some points that struck us negatively:
- Food: Overall, the food didn't taste particularly good. The burger patty was strange and had an odd texture. The chicken wings were extremely oily and unappetizing.
- Drinks: There was more ice in our drink than lemonade, which significantly affected the enjoyment.
- Fries: The side dishes presented as "fries" were actually potato dippers, which were also dry and tasteless.
- Service: The waitress wasn't very friendly, which made the whole experience even worse.
Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend Ronnie Biggs - Burger & Drinks. There are certainly better options for a successful burger evening in Ulm.
There's simply too little of everything for this location.
Prices are very high, the food is comparatively unappealing. Tiramisu for €7.90, and then you get stale food, the cocoa on top wasn't fresh, and the portion was a mini.
The salad barely had any dressing and was poorly presented.
Staff aren't on the ball, inattentive. Card payments aren't accepted; it was only mentioned at the end when paying the bill. Why? Everyone can guess...
Unfortunately, despite the top location right on Münsterplatz, not recommended.
I had lunch at Franco's with friends.
I tried Chef Artemir's tagliatelle with gorgonzola, squid ink, calamari and pistachios and then the sea bream with saffron cream, strawberry chutney and crunchy vegetables.
A wonderful experience
I'll be back very soon
We were there for lunch during the week. The service (I assume the owner) was really very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. Even when it came to the lunch menu, a change request wasn't a problem. The food came quickly and was delicious. At the end there was a schaps on the house. We'd love to come back.
The restaurant has its own parking spaces and even a beer garden. There is a changing facility in the women's toilet.
We would love to come back and try the beer garden.
I was invited here for a birthday and it was exceptionally good. The finest exquisite food, very courteous service, a really nice restaurant. We had a lot of children at the table, which was completely unproblematic. I was really very impressed and will definitely come back.
We had a very good experience on our first visit.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all the second time.
Two stars for the food – it wasn't anything special, but it was good.
The service, however, was unfortunately not good at all.
They try to be an upscale establishment, but they don't live up to that claim. The older waiter was very hectic, unfriendly, and inattentive. You don't feel welcome with him; he often reacts irritably. The other, younger colleagues, on the other hand, were friendly and helpful.
The wine was served hectically – and not in the correct manner. The wine glasses were simply refilled without asking if you wanted more at that time. Orders were taken but ignored. And you had to call the waiter three times before you got extra bread.
The prices are on the upscale side, but the service doesn't live up to that in any way. Furthermore, as a guest, you feel like you're being "rushed through" as quickly as possible. That shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. The guest is the focus and not the other way around.
My opinion: Terrible! All ready-made stuff, really disgusting, completely overpriced for the quality. Any American burger chain is better. The employees are under video surveillance, the atmosphere is cheap, like a bargain shop—one visit, never again!
our absolute favorite restaurant. Certainly not the prettiest but we don't care at all as the food is fantastic, although we mainly order fajitas. These come with a hot pan full of vegetables or whatever you order and lots of dips including very tasty beans and the rice and salad that is served with it is also super delicious. I find it to be very, very good value for money, where else can you eat so well for such cheap money? The quesadiala and the cocktails are also highly recommended.
