Seligweiler Hotel & Restaurants in Ulm

It's always worth taking the 1-2 minute detour from the motorway. We were lucky at the Seligweiler restaurant, too. Friendly service, good layout of the rooms. And above all, fast service, which is important when you're on the motorway. The kitchen dares to use interesting ingredient combinations; it was a culinary delight. We'll gladly come back to try more dishes.

We were there for a family celebration. Planning, execution, and result: perfect! 👍🏻😄 It was a wonderful day, with people who put their heart and soul into their work. We'd love to do it again! Thanks for the great day, best regards! 👍🏻👍🏻

There were seven of us for lunch, some with coffee and/or dessert...everything was fine, but €1.20 for a tiny bowl of cheese with a gnocchi dish is outrageous (not even Parmesan 😖). I'll have to think twice about recommending this place. 🤔

Seligweiler is easy to reach, with a large parking lot. The restaurant is clean, the service is good, and the food tastes very good.

I only stayed in the restaurant, not the hotel. The restaurant is simply good. Nice premises, friendly service, a large menu including regional dishes, and reasonable prices. What more could you want?

Stayed twice on our way to and from Austria. Quiet, good bed and breakfast. The restaurant was also excellent.

Nice, small pool with a counter-current system for relaxing. No-hassle sauna visit, well organized and always clean. Breakfast was top-notch, varied, and freshly prepared.

We stayed for two nights with our toddler. The small indoor play area, outdoor playground, and pool area were all excellent. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The location is right next to the highway. However, with the windows closed, you can't hear anything. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nice. The spa, pool, and breakfast are all perfectly fine.

Today I had the worst dining experience of my life. I was at the hotel for a business meeting and wanted to request a suitable table at the reception desk. From the very beginning, the employee addressed us in an aggressive tone. Although we have been holding such meetings at this hotel for many years, meetings would only be possible in conference rooms. Our meeting would have been like a luncheon. We wouldn't have been noticed in the restaurant or bothered the other guests. There were many free tables or empty rooms in the hotel/restaurant. We tried several times in vain to communicate our needs. In response, we were asked if we hadn't been listening. Ultimately, we were offered completely unacceptable seats. When we asked about other options, the employee in charge became increasingly aggressive and asked us to leave. A hotel must be doing very well, or guests don't matter, if you have to endure such behavior as a guest. I haven't experienced a comparable situation anywhere in the world. I can only hope that the owners will reconsider their employees on a case-by-case basis. There are certainly friendly employees in the hotel who don't want to lose their jobs.

Better as a truck stop than a rest stop. Restrooms are clean and well-maintained, but they also have vouchers. However, several of these could be redeemed at once. Many hotel guests staying overnight.

I can only comment on the service and the dining area, and they were really good! We had our monthly get-together there and had hosted it there a few times before, and we were really satisfied every time. Thanks to the service team!🙏🤗

Hotel in the middle of nowhere, outdated rooms, intermittent internet. I don't recommend it for stays longer than a day or if you have to.

We had coffee and cake, which was really delicious. Unfortunately, there were very few staff.

We visited the cafe and enjoyed the wonderfully delicious cake 🍰. The coffee was excellent, and the friendliness of the staff and service was particularly noteworthy. Thank you.

Highly recommended, we were "only" there for dinner. But everything was absolutely top-notch, from the oven-fresh roast pork to the Kuttla (a kind of fried potato dish) with fried potatoes. The schnitzel with fries had a lot of room for improvement. Perhaps just a "slip-up," but annoying.

I stayed at the hotel for a business trip in week 39/2025. I did some research beforehand, including directions, reviews, etc. Due to mixed, but several quite negative reviews, I was actually prepared for anything. Preliminary conclusion: I would choose this hotel again anytime! I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews. Check-in on Monday, September 22, 2025: Two receptionists greeted me warmly, asked about my arrival, and welcomed me. After the formalities, I was briefly explained everything important, but I was welcome to ask questions at any time. Room: In an old building, attic with a sloped ceiling. The size was perfectly adequate, the room was clean. Plenty of towels provided. The furnishings were estimated to be from the 1990s, but clean, intact, and definitely not "shabby." The new building is located between the old building and the highway. As a result, I heard very little from the highway, so I was able to sleep with the window open. Breakfast: Breakfast buffet with something for everyone. In addition to various juices and tea, there is also filter coffee and two fully automatic coffee machines. The filter coffee is delicious and highly recommended, as the fully automatic machines are constantly in demand during peak times. There is also scrambled eggs with bacon. Special feature: A notice specifically states that you are welcome to take a free coffee with you for the journey. Takeaway cups are available. I hadn't heard of this before, but I think it's truly exemplary! Restaurants: I ate in one of the three restaurants every evening except for the day of arrival and departure. The menu is the same everywhere, with "classics," Mediterranean dishes, and regional cuisine. The prices are reasonable, and the service staff is friendly. I really enjoyed the obviously freshly prepared food, and the wait time was perfectly acceptable despite the high occupancy. The portion sizes were absolutely sufficient, in my opinion. Card payments are accepted both in the hotel and the restaurants. Free Wi-Fi with good internet access is available throughout the property. Location: Conveniently located. Check-out on September 26, 2025: Once again, two friendly ladies inquired about my satisfaction and asked if anything could be improved. When I expressed my "criticism," they thanked me for my stay and wished me a pleasant journey home.

I booked this hotel for the second time on my way to the Dolomites, and it was so much better than I expected. The food was so delicious, the breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit salad, delicious rolls, etc. The staff were very kind and accommodating, even with our dogs, and at €6 per dog, the price was really fair. Sometimes, when I read about hotels in the world, I wonder why some are treated so unfriendly. Perhaps it's due to the people themselves and their behavior.

The receptionist was rude, loudly insulting parents about the child and complaining about children playing in the designated children's play area. Instead of a polite, personal reminder, as is appropriate, she resorted to insults. Extremely incompetent behavior. It's a shame, because the rest of the staff who looked after us during the funeral were very attentive and polite.

I've stayed at this hotel several times. First of all, the location is perfect, especially if you're just passing through. The rooms are a bit of a gamble. There are new rooms that are actually good. They're also more in line with the price. But if you get an old room, the price isn't right at all. The old rooms are truly terrible. There's no other way to put it. The restaurant used to be better. Now, unfortunately, I'm getting to the point why I'm still only giving the hotel one star. We spent our vacation in Italy. Unfortunately, we had to cut our vacation short due to a death in the family. The hotel in Italy was very accommodating and only charged us for the nights we stayed there. The original plan was to stop at the Seligweiler Hotel and stay overnight before continuing on to our journey home. However, we drove through days before. There was no time to stay overnight. In the midst of all this, I canceled 10 hours too late. My request for a partial refund was declined. I've continued trying to contact them. No response. Messages are ignored. The service was never great or friendly. If you don't have anything special or problems, you can't care. But as soon as you have something, you're lost. If you're not happy with your job or you're poorly paid, why don't you look for another one? Friendly and helpful staff isn't too much to ask.

The sauna and swimming pool are amazing. The room is dated but good

We were passing through and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. The food was OK but there were moldy radishes in our salad which smelled completely black. The waitress didn't think it was a big deal at all. She said it was from the heat or because it was underneath. I then explained to her again that it was completely moldy and that in the end it didn't matter why. The fact is that it didn't belong on the plate. In the end we still had to pay for the salad. She then offered us chocolates as compensation. She then brought us two small packets of gummy bears and four thank you notes on a plate. I would have thought it right not to charge for the salad.

Great hotel for when you're traveling. Rooms are also clean and equipped with everything you need. It's a shame about the terrible service in the restaurant. After half an hour, still no waitress at the table, so we ended up eating at Burger King.

It's incredible how warm it is throughout the hotel.

We visited the restaurant. Very good service. I missed a drinks menu at the bar. My tip: The bar staff should perhaps smile more and be more relaxed, and not take their job so seriously.

A lovely large terrace with plenty of umbrellas and hedges surrounding it to block out the noise from the parking lot. There's a corn maze right next door. We were only there for lunch, so we can't comment on the rooms. But the staff was very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. We had roast beef in aspic. A generous portion with three slices of roast and one slice of cooked ham. It was well seasoned. It was very tasty. Then we had the salmon salad. It could have used a few more lettuce leaves, but it was delicious and the salmon was still juicy. Nice location for a stopover.

We need to get something off our chest! We were staying at this hotel and had a small problem! This small issue was resolved without hesitation by the two nice ladies (the younger ones)! The management can count themselves lucky to have such great, professional staff!!! This hotel is truly recommended!!! Best regards, the two bus drivers

Great hotel for an overnight stay

The place served as a meeting point and overnight stop for my onward journey with a larger group of motorcyclists. At night, trucks with their engines running because of the air conditioning; it was a very warm day. My window stayed closed because of the noise. In the morning, I was woken up by the clattering and rattling of delivery trucks. The shower curtain stuck to me, making me feel disgusted. All in all, the means served its purpose. But thumbs up for the restaurant, food, and cleanliness. There was nothing to complain about at breakfast. Anything missing was quickly replenished; everything was good.

I was only here as a day visitor. If you have time to sit down, it's fine. There's hardly anything to buy a snack.

For a lot of money you get old rooms and bad service!!!!

Highly recommended! The prices are a bit higher, but the food is plentiful and very good. I enjoy going there again and again. Despite the nearby highway, you can barely hear or see it, even in the covered outdoor area.

We were actually here to charge at the Tesla charging station. We really liked the restaurant; the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The price/performance ratio was fair. We really enjoyed it. We'll be back next time we're passing through.

Long waiting, unfriendly and very unprofessional staff. We waited 30 minutes for an ice coffee and for ice cream while the place was almost empty. Guest arriving after us already got their orders. When we wanted to pay we were left there with a “ you can pay by my colleague” and then the waitress went to other tables to handle the payment from other guest who signalled payment after us.

Very nice hotel, courteous service, and reasonable prices. Whether you're stopping here for a stopover or starting your tour from here, it's highly recommended! The rooms are good, and a beautiful spa area is included in the price. I've stayed here several times, both before and after my motorcycle tours. I'd go back anytime...

Took me in last night on very late notice for a reasonable price, room fully equipped, clean, everything I needed after a long drive. Plenty of parking, even for my van that wasn't that small. The included breakfast was great.

This hotel is directly across the highway. There's no ventilation in the bathroom or bedroom. Opening the windows isn't recommended, as you'd think cars were driving over you. Garden views mean you're on the highway. Therefore, absolutely not recommended. Requests aren't accommodated.

Very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful on the phone. I called this morning to book a room for our bus drivers. The receptionist was extremely rude, loud, and immediately rejected all suggestions, even though I clearly stated that they would be charged for two days even if they only stayed in the room for a few hours. She screamed and refused, asking me, "What don't you understand?!" Ridiculous.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights, three of us (3 adults) in a triple room. We didn't like it at all; it was far too cramped, and our suitcases were always in the way. We ended up storing some of our things on the dirty balcony. It smelled of cooking oil when the window was open, or cigarette smoke, or both. We fully understand the delivery, but wonder why a laundry truck has to sit with its engine running the whole time before 6 a.m. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible, but there was no place to put or hang anything. We complained about the situation, but they couldn't offer us an alternative room. Likewise, one receptionist didn't know what the other was doing. Breakfast resembled an 80s school cafeteria. You couldn't even sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. For this reason, we only used three of the five breakfast buffets; we preferred to eat out instead. Not recommended. For this price-performance ratio, we're definitely used to better in the Ulm area.

I will post a video and a foto of the room to be clear why i give them 1 star. Room was small, view was nightmare, to warm , small tv, bed was small for an average person ! Bathroom was like in 1950-1960 a plastic cabin all room was a plastic room! Tiny verry tiny!! I let the photos to speak. Toilet paper was at the end not new and so on!

Very nice accessible room in the 2017 annex. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Staff was friendly, and everything was very clean. A nice little pool.

Unfortunately, I don't know about the rooms, but the location is fantastic, just outside Ulm, and the food is fresh and delicious! Swabian home cooking...

We were on our way home from Legoland and ate at the restaurant. The food and selection reminded me a bit of the 80s, which isn't a bad thing or a bad thing; it was simply delicious. The service was attentive and quick, and we didn't have to wait long. The food was plentiful and just as it should be. The price-performance ratio is decent. There's a spot in the restaurant marked with a large plate. This is where Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg meet.

I've been staying at this hotel regularly for years – both for business and pleasure – and I always feel completely at home. For me, it's simply ideal: The location right next to the highway is perfect, yet the rooms are pleasantly quiet – you can barely hear the traffic. I'd particularly like to highlight the cuisine: a wonderful blend of Swabian-Bavarian home cooking with Mediterranean influences – truly outstanding! The day before yesterday, I had a bowl that was absolutely delicious, and yesterday, a Saltimbocca alla Romana – perfectly prepared. The breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired – plentiful, fresh, and very lovingly prepared. And not to be forgotten in these midsummer temperatures: The air conditioning works perfectly and ensures pleasant nights, even when it's over 30 degrees outside. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!

A good and inexpensive hotel, the price includes a visit to the SPA and breakfast, we took the cheapest room without air conditioning, and regretted it at night, it was hot and you can't open the window because it's opposite the highway, for me as a driver it's not scary, it even lulls you to sleep, drivers will understand, but my wife didn't get the joke and we slept with the window closed, women's logic, it would be nice if at least one person got enough sleep - especially the driver, no if she sleeps poorly then everyone should too😂 . Otherwise, a very good hotel. P.S. for those who don't know, Germans relax in saunas completely naked, this is so that there are no surprises. Good luck to everyone on the road

We booked rooms for around 4 nights. I left my gold earrings on the table on my second day in Ulm and went outside. But when I came back there was no earrings. My bed was done but no earrings no matter how much I searched. When I checked out, the receptionist charged me for all the rooms we had booked even though all those were already paid!

This hotel was a nice solution for a stopover because it is conveniently located on the highway. The reception was unfriendly. The room lacked air conditioning but was otherwise fine and clean. The balcony was a nice addition. The bathroom seemed renovated. The breakfast was fine. We experienced the restaurant as friendly but it was expensive. So tips; air conditioning in the rooms and somewhat friendlier staff. But otherwise quite fine for one night.

Super expensive and outside tables super dirty, foreign staff who don't know the menu

A room without air conditioning on the east side is hell. It's +19 outside at 7am - it's impossible to sleep, the room is stuffy and hot. You open the window - the sun is in your eyes. From 6am, truck drivers leave - noise. They say that they have rooms with air conditioning, we were stupid not to ask for one. Breakfast is ordinary, nothing special. The restaurant kitchen closes at 9pm, after that only Burger King or pizza from the nearby gas station. Sauna is open from 4pm to 10pm. Pool from 6am to 11am (or 1pm, I don't remember exactly) and then from 4pm to 10pm. As a one-night hotel passing through - ok, but not in the heat. Ask for a room on the west or north side to get a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, it was terrible. A pungent smell of smoke and urine hit us as we entered. The schnitzel tasted like fish, as did the fries. This is the first time in my life that I haven't finished my plate.

This hotel is located along a busy highway and is in fact a transit hotel. Most guests stay there during a long trip. It was quiet in the room with the windows closed but no air conditioning, and quite warm in the entire hotel. We had a very nice meal, breakfast was more than enough choice.
