We've been here over 10 times now, and it's always been an absolute highlight. The food, the service, the atmosphere—truly fantastic! We'll be back and can absolutely recommend it to everyone! A huge thank you to everyone responsible for the service, the cooking, the presentation, etc. You're all amazing! And thank you so much for the schnapps after the Christmas tree ceremony!

A delicious breakfast was enjoyed on Sunday morning in the packed restaurant. They had everything a breakfast lover could wish for. The service was very attentive, quick, and efficient.

A great café for a hearty breakfast/brunch. The portions are large enough, even for the men in our group, so everyone will be satisfied. The coffee is delicious, and you can order anything imaginable from the extensive menu. Prices, including drinks, can easily add up to €30 per person.

I come here often; both breakfast, lunch, and dinner are excellent. It's not the cheapest price range, but the food is of good quality and the staff is competent. This makes for a very pleasant visit!

Great food, great service, but very often fully booked

A large cappuccino is truly large (we're used to it differently), and the portions of "Greek breakfast" (= basically a salad with a roll) and "Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce" are decent, so they're worth the price. Overall, the taste isn't exceptional, but it's definitely not bad either. It's definitely worth trying once in a while.

Delicious food, kind staff. Make a reservation in advance, most tables were already reserved, but we got lucky.

It's actually a great restaurant, and we enjoy coming here. The service has always been nice and friendly. We made a special reservation for four people with two small children. The "gentleman" who was in charge of us kept us waiting for 40 minutes. We couldn't even order drinks. After asking a colleague what was going on, we were able to order drinks and food after another 10 minutes. Then it took another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Today, service was a complete waste, and if we come again and get the same gentleman serving, we'll either ask for a different server or leave immediately. It's a shame; we've been here many times and really enjoyed it.

We had breakfast on Saturday. It was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast for two costs about €70. Coffee and drinks are extra! The price is really steep. You can't afford it often.

We had breakfast here. The coffee and plum cake were delicious. The breakfast with pancakes, cream cheese, and cheese was also very good, although some of the fruit salad seemed to come from a can. The portions are very generous! The service was very friendly and attentive. We would have breakfast here again anytime.

It was perfect this Sunday morning (without reservation) for a very generous breakfast with everything we like, almost a brunch! Very friendly and efficient service.

Food & drinks of the highest quality

We've been here three times so far, each time with several people. The service is unfortunately spotty, ranging from the nonfunctional reservation system to the incompetently prepared coffee. Overall, I'd describe it less as a café and more as an average bistro. Now that we've arranged to have breakfast again, we've decided to try another place. Unfortunately, we can't really recommend it. If you can find another location, we recommend looking around.

I discovered it, had breakfast, and rated it excellent. Thank you for the super delicious and plentiful breakfast. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find something to suit your taste with such a generous selection. Everything is catered for, whether vegan, lactose intolerant, etc.

We always have breakfast at Einstein when we're passing through on vacation, and we're always impressed. We've tried various breakfasts, and so far, they've all been fantastic. The coffee is also excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is always very friendly.

Great pancakes, all day long. And still a treat!

It’s okay. The food isn’t particularly good, but it’s anything but cheap. Judging by how crowded the restaurant was, though, that doesn’t seem to bother many others. The picture shows scrambled eggs made from liquid whole egg from a carton, topped with shredded cheese carelessly crumbled on straight from the package.

We've been here for dinner before - it was good. But today was a disappointment. We arrived shortly after 4 p.m. and wanted a quick bite to eat - the comment: "The kitchen closes at 3 p.m." - that's nowhere to be found. What a bummer, especially since there's a major event taking place in the convention center next door, an opportunity to fill the restaurant. Well, leisure time counts more. So we'll just go where guests are welcome.

The food was amazing! A little overpriced but is good. Delicious pancakes and potatoes. The food presentation is the best part. ❤️ However first waiter brought the wrong order, and second waiters forgot about another order. The bad service ruined my experience. I was sitting outside, for 17 minutes none of the waiters came to attend the tables (Full tables outside).

The breakfast is very nicely prepared. The prices are very high, but the worst thing I find is that you can't pay CASH here. Here's a little food for thought!!!!!! Why should we pay with cash instead of a bank card as often as possible? Imagine you have a 50 euro bill in your pocket. You go out to eat with it and pay for your dinner in cash. The restaurant owner takes this note and uses it to pay for the car wash. The operator of the car wash issues the certificate at the hairdresser. The hairdresser uses it to shop at the supermarket. This one 50 euro note changes hands several times, fulfilling its purpose each time - without any additional fees or intervention from the bank. But what happens if you pay by card instead? As soon as you pay digitally, the recipient is charged a transaction fee - on average around 2.5%. Each time you use this digital amount, the value shrinks due to additional fees. After around 36 digital transactions, only around €5 of the original €50 is still in circulation - the rest has gone to banks and payment service providers as fees. There are also monthly card fees, which further devalue your money. Conclusion: Cash circulates without losing value and strengthens the local economy. Digital payments, on the other hand, eat up the original value bit by bit. Cash is more than practical – cash is freedom. 💶

The food was fresh, tasty, and presented in an appealing manner. The atmosphere was modern and bright. One of the best cafes in town.

Still the best and tastiest pancakes in the area and the unbeatable largest selection of breakfast menus. High prices but really good quality. In my opinion, only the ambience could be a little nicer or more modern and comfortable, as it is always very crowded and loud due to its popularity.

I won't go here anymore. When I tried to make an online booking this morning I was asked to call back later because they are too busy. (I find this arrogant, my time is just as important) On the website they ask to make a reservation by phone but they don't have time to take a reservation. Bad!

I had a voucher that I received as a gift and wanted to redeem. I called in advance to clarify whether the voucher was still valid and whether the receipt I had received would be accepted as a voucher. The receipt had all the relevant information about purchasing the voucher and I was assured over the phone that this was sufficient. When we arrived on site I asked again if redemption was possible and suddenly I was told it wasn't. I was spoken to in a way as if I was wrong and, above all, stupid. After all, I can't help it that I was given a receipt as a voucher. Obviously this was neither my fault nor the fault of the person who gave me the gift. 50 euros are simply given away to the restaurant. Thank you!

The cinnamon latte was very good, but it only came after almost 25 minutes - the atmosphere is getting old (the chairs in particular definitely need to be worn out) - if possible you should definitely look for a seat in the front area, otherwise you will be overlooked - it's a shame, I've been a real fan so far.

We went for breakfast for the second time today and would go there again at any time. The staff is very friendly and really like the job. The food itself is fresh, plentiful and really good. Also on celiac disease dd. Glutenfrei geachtet. Absolutely recommended!

Brilliant, there's no other way to describe it. People and dogs are equally welcome here and are served very nicely. Coffee is delicious, you can't make the cake better yourself. We have been to the café several times after treatment or surgery at the neighboring ophthalmologist's practice, and every time everything was great. Only recommended.

Nice service, large breakfast menu

Prices are exorbitant for mediocre quality; the bacon unfortunately tasted rancid. A hot drink included at breakfast would be nice, and two rolls of butter would also be nice, free of charge.

Breakfast was good so far. On Sundays the reservation is limited to 1.5 hours, which is ok. It's a shame, however, that you don't get drinks that you ordered 20 minutes before the time is up in time, but you are charged on time and directed to the bar if you still want what you ordered, which unfortunately didn't make a professional impression.

I was invited by my parents but it's not my case. The food is a bit too fancy and expensive. I prefer simple vegetarian food so I probably won't go there again. But it's great that there is at least a lot of vegan food. And that they offer Relevo reusable boxes.

Very bad treatment of guests with restrictions!!! We walked there for an extra 35 minutes during our vacation because, according to Google, the restaurant should be barrier-free. When we got there we met 3 steps in front of the entrance and only unfriendly service staff who said to us: We can't help it now, that's what the city of Ulm wants...!!! Then please at least remove the wheelchair sign, as that is simply incorrect information! No insight, no offer of help!!!!! So we left frustrated.

We went to Café Einstein for the first time and had breakfast there. We had to wait a little longer for our breakfast, but it was definitely worth it. The pancakes are awesome. So delicious and definitely recommended. The service was also great. The café was full, but everything was going well. Very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious breakfast, also gluten-free (although the gluten-free roll is very small despite an extra charge of €1.50 on top of the normal price for the roll) which is a bit outrageous. Excellent value for money, but very large breakfast selection.

Large breakfast selection with great vegan options. The breakfast “La Gomera” was very rich and a highlight both visually and in terms of taste 🙂 I particularly enjoyed the pancakes. The service was also very attentive and friendly.

We were here for the first time today and we are really excited! The service is incredibly nice! They specifically looked for a table where our dog could have some peace and space and they immediately brought us a bowl of water without us having to ask :) The food was also very, very tasty and we are thrilled with the price-performance ratio! A very nice cafe with ample options, especially in the breakfast choices. The portion size is adequate compared to the standard pricing. It has a pleasant ambience inside and also have a good number of open seatings outside. The cherry on the top is the courtesy and friendliness of the staff persons. Most of them understand and speak English too. Overall an enjoyable experience without compromising taste and quality of food.

As an American I decided to try the American breakfast at 21€. The potatoes are to die for, eggs good, walnut bread good BUT do not order the pancakes. They were so thick and heavy. American pancakes are light and fluffy. The syrup came in a ridiculously small little container barely enough for one pancake.

We were there for breakfast today and were completely satisfied... great, calm and very friendly service. A top staff, everyone together and you had the feeling that everyone was working hand in hand. The selection is great and we were very pleased that the choice of vegetarian and vegan was completely natural and also good. All four breakfast arrangements we chose were excellent, varied and delicious. Highly recommended.

We were there with a group of 15 people, the service was very friendly and well organized. Drinks and food were ordered at the same time and it came at the same time so no one had to wait. Can recommend again :)

I recently had breakfast at Restaurant Einstein and was completely impressed. The atmosphere is extremely cozy, ideal for a relaxed start to the day. The service was excellent – ​​friendly, attentive and quick. What is particularly positive is the diverse selection of dishes. There really is something for every taste! A little tip: It's worth making a reservation in advance as the restaurant is very popular. Overall, a great experience that I can only recommend!

Very good breakfast with many different variations and side dishes. A reservation is highly recommended, especially for Sunday. When making the reservation it was also pointed out that only card payment was possible.

Good service, the food is disappointing. Huge portions, looks good - but doesn't taste good. Even cappuccino from Cimbale coffee machine tastes average...

Really nothing fancy, we don’t speak German so sometimes they would just ignore us for long times, the breakfast is very average, coffee is so bad😄 very shocking to find out they never clean out the milk jug, they just add and steam so the milk you get has been burned 5x before it got in your coffee and you can taste it, it’s usually very crowded and service seems stressed

I have been coming to Einstein for breakfast or dinner for many years. The breakfast selection is unsurpassed and goes far beyond the usual - if you want it. The rest of the menu always offers surprises and is a bit mixed, but no matter what I've tried so far (Swabian dishes, burgers, Asian dishes) I've never been disappointed - on the contrary! The ingredients are based on regionality and animal welfare. The staff was always friendly, even when they had their hands full. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that sometimes I can't decide between the all day breakfast and the rest of the menu :)

The two of us were in Ulm for the away game and wanted to sit comfortably in this café. When we asked for a table we were turned away in a very rude manner because we were wearing a football shirt. Something like that is just outrageous and has nothing to do with hospitality!

Einstein cafe actually deserves a lot more than it has in the rating. Food is amazing and the quantities are really big, it might be a bit more pricey than other places but it is worth it, amazing for brunch My favorite restaurant in Ulm.

Incredibly good breakfast, the best I've had in my entire life. When we go skiing in Austria we always drive to Einstein for the best breakfast of the holiday (and the rest of the year). Very good vegan & vegetarian food. Large menu and plenty of choice. 100% a 33/10!

European breakfast are amazing. Potatoes are seriously the best I have ever had. But do NOT, by all means, order pancakes or french toast. Pancakes look nice and fluffy but is horrendously bad. It’s like eating bread that is pretending to be sweet. And the french toast does not look like jt was dipped at all. Also so bad. One of the waitress made a mistake with our order and she had the gall to be annoyed. Head waiter came back and did the correction. All in all… good place, just avoid the pancakes and french toast.

The place is very good, everything and we miss a little more decoration so that it doesn't look like just another bar. The breakfasts, incredible, highly recommended, and the attention is incredible. I loved it.

Unfortunately breakfast on Sunday wasn't that great. I normally love Einstein, but the waiters were completely overwhelmed on Sunday. All the waiters were running, which made the atmosphere rather stressful. Food/drink was just quickly slammed onto the table. I know it differently from Einstein... then something was wrong with my meal (Breakfast La Gomera). Shortly after I ate it, I felt completely nauseous and vomited on the spot. There was nothing before or after, so it must have been because of the meal... It was also 30 degrees, maybe the food had gotten too warm? The breakfasts there are usually really great. But then there were thousands of wasps on the terrace. The problem is known, but nothing is being done about it. The answer to my comment was: “It’s summer, it’s nature.”

Breakfast on Saturday is not recommended here at Einstein. More than 1 hour waiting time for breakfast with moderate activity. The food is inferior for this price. The kitchen and service are extremely overwhelmed. Find something else or bring a lot of time.

If you expect friendly service and contact with ppl definitely don’t go to that place. We where waiting for breakfast simple apple cake witch never came. Cold communications, totally not approved!!!

Large choice and copious dishes, for all tastes and at reasonable prices.

We went here specifically because of the choice of vegan options. The food is good and beautifully prepared. If you are very hungry, you may have to order something more. Our children had the vegan pancakes. Very tasty with some fruit and maple syrup. You can order 2 or 3 pancakes. For them, 2 was enough, so we had an extra dessert ;) It is a business area located between office buildings, this is of course not really a romantic environment, but their terrace is fine. You can order breakfast all day long, which is a definite plus! Friendly service who immediately points out that you can only pay by card. Certainly an exception in Germany, but not a problem for us.

The wait after arrive just to get the Memu& order huhh..was way too long😒too bad for this lovely place, and was not evemn crowded!! On morning ~10.30 surely was lots of customer, but srill. I had actually the Eistein Pancakes and NO REGRETS! They are amaxing, have to try it! With banana, nutella and all. Yummy😋🥰

The boiled egg was totally watery, two slices of packaged Aldi cheese and two slices of packaged cooked ham with already brown fruit. Sometimes you have to wait half an hour for the waitress to pay and then go to the counter yourself so you can leave again. We actually wanted to buy a few vouchers for friends but we decided against that. We don't want to do that to anyone. Never again !!!

Einstein used to have a better reputation and a more varied menu. You feel a little lost, and a French breakfast shouldn't include pancakes with maple syrup. There are many beautiful views, but the smoking area is not properly separated.
