Einstein Restaurant Cafe Bar in Ulm

As an American I decided to try the American breakfast at 21€. The potatoes are to die for, eggs good, walnut bread good BUT do not order the pancakes. They were so thick and heavy. American pancakes are light and fluffy. The syrup came in a ridiculously small little container barely enough for one pancake.

We were there for breakfast today and were completely satisfied... great, calm and very friendly service. A top staff, everyone together and you had the feeling that everyone was working hand in hand. The selection is great and we were very pleased that the choice of vegetarian and vegan was completely natural and also good. All four breakfast arrangements we chose were excellent, varied and delicious. Highly recommended.

We were there with a group of 15 people, the service was very friendly and well organized. Drinks and food were ordered at the same time and it came at the same time so no one had to wait. Can recommend again :)

I recently had breakfast at Restaurant Einstein and was completely impressed. The atmosphere is extremely cozy, ideal for a relaxed start to the day. The service was excellent – ​​friendly, attentive and quick. What is particularly positive is the diverse selection of dishes. There really is something for every taste! A little tip: It's worth making a reservation in advance as the restaurant is very popular. Overall, a great experience that I can only recommend!

Very good breakfast with many different variations and side dishes. A reservation is highly recommended, especially for Sunday. When making the reservation it was also pointed out that only card payment was possible.

Really nothing fancy, we don’t speak German so sometimes they would just ignore us for long times, the breakfast is very average, coffee is so bad😄 very shocking to find out they never clean out the milk jug, they just add and steam so the milk you get has been burned 5x before it got in your coffee and you can taste it, it’s usually very crowded and service seems stressed

I have been coming to Einstein for breakfast or dinner for many years. The breakfast selection is unsurpassed and goes far beyond the usual - if you want it. The rest of the menu always offers surprises and is a bit mixed, but no matter what I've tried so far (Swabian dishes, burgers, Asian dishes) I've never been disappointed - on the contrary! The ingredients are based on regionality and animal welfare. The staff was always friendly, even when they had their hands full. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that sometimes I can't decide between the all day breakfast and the rest of the menu :)

The two of us were in Ulm for the away game and wanted to sit comfortably in this café. When we asked for a table we were turned away in a very rude manner because we were wearing a football shirt. Something like that is just outrageous and has nothing to do with hospitality!

Einstein cafe actually deserves a lot more than it has in the rating. Food is amazing and the quantities are really big, it might be a bit more pricey than other places but it is worth it, amazing for brunch My favorite restaurant in Ulm.

Incredibly good breakfast, the best I've had in my entire life. When we go skiing in Austria we always drive to Einstein for the best breakfast of the holiday (and the rest of the year). Very good vegan & vegetarian food. Large menu and plenty of choice. 100% a 33/10!

European breakfast are amazing. Potatoes are seriously the best I have ever had. But do NOT, by all means, order pancakes or french toast. Pancakes look nice and fluffy but is horrendously bad. It’s like eating bread that is pretending to be sweet. And the french toast does not look like jt was dipped at all. Also so bad. One of the waitress made a mistake with our order and she had the gall to be annoyed. Head waiter came back and did the correction. All in all… good place, just avoid the pancakes and french toast.

The place is very good, everything and we miss a little more decoration so that it doesn't look like just another bar. The breakfasts, incredible, highly recommended, and the attention is incredible. I loved it.

Unfortunately breakfast on Sunday wasn't that great. I normally love Einstein, but the waiters were completely overwhelmed on Sunday. All the waiters were running, which made the atmosphere rather stressful. Food/drink was just quickly slammed onto the table. I know it differently from Einstein... then something was wrong with my meal (Breakfast La Gomera). Shortly after I ate it, I felt completely nauseous and vomited on the spot. There was nothing before or after, so it must have been because of the meal... It was also 30 degrees, maybe the food had gotten too warm? The breakfasts there are usually really great. But then there were thousands of wasps on the terrace. The problem is known, but nothing is being done about it. The answer to my comment was: “It’s summer, it’s nature.”

Breakfast on Saturday is not recommended here at Einstein. More than 1 hour waiting time for breakfast with moderate activity. The food is inferior for this price. The kitchen and service are extremely overwhelmed. Find something else or bring a lot of time.

If you expect friendly service and contact with ppl definitely don’t go to that place. We where waiting for breakfast simple apple cake witch never came. Cold communications, totally not approved!!!

The wait after arrive just to get the Memu& order huhh..was way too long😒too bad for this lovely place, and was not evemn crowded!! On morning ~10.30 surely was lots of customer, but srill. I had actually the Eistein Pancakes and NO REGRETS! They are amaxing, have to try it! With banana, nutella and all. Yummy😋🥰

We went here specifically because of the choice of vegan options. The food is good and beautifully prepared. If you are very hungry, you may have to order something more. Our children had the vegan pancakes. Very tasty with some fruit and maple syrup. You can order 2 or 3 pancakes. For them, 2 was enough, so we had an extra dessert ;) It is a business area located between office buildings, this is of course not really a romantic environment, but their terrace is fine. You can order breakfast all day long, which is a definite plus! Friendly service who immediately points out that you can only pay by card. Certainly an exception in Germany, but not a problem for us.

The boiled egg was totally watery, two slices of packaged Aldi cheese and two slices of packaged cooked ham with already brown fruit. Sometimes you have to wait half an hour for the waitress to pay and then go to the counter yourself so you can leave again. We actually wanted to buy a few vouchers for friends but we decided against that. We don't want to do that to anyone. Never again !!!

We went here for breakfast together and really enjoyed it. We'll definitely be back soon...

Einstein used to have a better reputation and a more varied menu. You feel a little lost, and a French breakfast shouldn't include pancakes with maple syrup. There are many beautiful views, but the smoking area is not properly separated.

The breakfast was very tasty, there were 6 of us and we had different options. However, the pricing is very steep, especially because there is no drink included. The whole wheat roll was a simple grain rousing. The drink prices are one of the most expensive in the area.

The best breakfast in Ulm is still at Einstein. The diverse selection leaves nothing to be desired. Reservation is recommended, the Einstein is almost always fully booked, which again speaks for the breakfast. An absolute must when visiting Ulm.

Very nice cafe. The two of us had breakfast here with a dog. We got a place even without a reservation, even in a quiet area with the dog. Water was also provided for the dog. The food was high quality and very tasty, the staff was always friendly. Payment is only possible by card, but you will be informed of this in good time.

After a bit of a long wait at the beginning, everything was very good. Had a delicious burger that can be put together individually. The waitress apologized several times for the delay and was very attentive afterwards.

One of the best breakfast spots in town. Make sure to pay a visit on a Sunday morning, but keep in mind that a reservation is required most of the time. Creative dishes and endless options. Totally recommended!

Extortionate prices! Cheeseburger with fries 19€, mini non-alcoholic cocktail 9€... With garlic fries, some fresh garlic is sprinkled on the normal fries and you get +3€! The prices on the homepage are not current. It's a shame, I won't be back any time soon.

I've been here several times and everything tastes very good, but the prices are sometimes really outrageous and absolutely not justified. A roll with some cheese and jam €10. The salad on the plate is old and has brown edges from everyone who ordered something that day - something like that shouldn't happen. €5.90 for a drink is also very steep. I like coming here for the pancakes but unfortunately everything else is really not worth it.

One of the best restaurants to have breakfast in Ulm. The selection is huge, there really is something for everyone. They even offer vegan alternatives. You should definitely make a reservation as it is usually very busy. The price is in the upper range. Only the service could be a little faster or more attentive. Sometimes you have to wait a bit. All in all, recommended.

Overwhelmed "waiter".. his nose higher than the cathedral.. (prices higher than Everest) got up and left before ordering. That also seemed to be the “goal” of the staff.

We were there for breakfast on March 2nd, 2024. The service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. The menu is very unusual, lots of choice and something for everyone. Vegan, gluten-free, or with lots of bacon and scrambled eggs. I paid just under 30 euros for a large breakfast, 2 gluten-free rolls (extra charge €1.50 each) and 1 gr. cappuccino. Upper price segment, but very tasty and great quality.

After a long time we finally went there again for dinner. The dishes were very tasty and freshly prepared and we have rarely been served so humanely and kindly. The breakfast there is also great and has a large selection. There is also a vegan selection. There is something for everyone and special requests can be requested. Unfortunately, there are more and more people who get terribly upset over even insignificant little things. But when you see how full the place is and how much work the few staff have to handle, a little understanding is good for everyone. Unfortunately for us, the starter arrived late and right before the main course. But hey, we got what we ordered and it was delicious and we had a lot of fun with the staff. Laughing is good! Reservations are recommended. We will come back soon and with pleasure.

Gluten-free is really very possible there (almost everything that is on the menu as long as you share it). I took a hamburger, it tasted very good, but I would have been even happier if the burger roll wasn't from Schär. Otherwise everything was great! (SPOILER: a look into the toilets feels like a visit to the depths of the Amazon.)

When I was there with my class, it was completely overcrowded...Then the waiter told me that only card payment was possible, which was a disgrace in my opinion. I don't want to be told how I want to pay. But the restaurant looked good and the location is also ideal.

Great food, everything freshly prepared and large portions! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's best to reserve a spot as it's always very busy. The staff often offers the opportunity to sit at a larger table with other guests. That was good for us twice, but the third time there were people at the table who, in addition to poor hygiene, had bad behavior. But the owner can't do anything about it ;-) We would love to come back again and again!!!! P.S.: A paradise for vegans :-)

Food is great Large portions and a little bit of everything Negative: You have enormous time pressure when eating. 1.5 hours per table are planned. If the food arrives quite late, it becomes crowded and guests are asked to leave. There is a need for improvement!

Sagenhaftes Frühstück, ohne Vorbestellung klappte alles wunderbar. Sehr abwechslungsreiche Karte. Mein Weißwurst Frühstück war hervorragend.

Ich bin aus dem Maritim in Richtung Stadt gelaufen um etwas zu essen und bin durch Zufall auf das Restaurant gestoßen. Mein Glück! Ein wunderbares Essen. Der Service war super schnell, extrem aufmerksam, die Abläufe in der Zubereitung und der Ausgabe der Speisen sind perfekt. Das Essen war super frisch und dennoch schnell zubereitet. Das Schnitzel war super, goldbraun gebraten, sehr schmackhaft, so wie es sein soll, Pommes selbst gemacht und wahnsinnig schmackhaft und selbst der Beilagensalat, der oft ja mehr Alibi ist, war erstklassig. Das säuresüßes Spiel hat perfekt gepasst und das Essen perfekt abgerundet. Das Ambiente ist super. Der Laden wirkt von außen sehr unscheinbar, die Gemütlichkeit im inneren spricht aber Bände. Es läuft entspannte Loungemusik, die das ganze nochmal abrundet. Ein Riesen Lob an die Küche und den Service.

Waren zum brunchen... hat alles gepasst, Qualität und Preis stimmen überein. Nettes Personal.

Frühstücken zu viert mit vorheriger Reservierung. Bei Ankunft wurden wir zum Platz geführt. Das Café war bis auf den letzten Platz voll,zeigt eine deutliche positive Meinung. Speisekarte und Getränke reichlich und ausgefallen. Da das Cafe wie beschrieben voll war war die Wartezeit auf das Frühstück rund 45min, was ich vergleichsweise lange empfinde. Geschmacklich absolut top. Preise sehr hoch angesetzt im Vergleich zu anderen Optionen. Alles in allem sehr gelungen,waren in der Vergangenheit bereits öfters dort.

Ich war zum Frühstück dort. Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Frühstücksvarianten sind der Wahnsinn. Ich konnte mich kaum entscheiden. Hab mich dann für den Einstein Frühstücksteller entschieden. Es war wirklich sehr sehr gut. Bedient hat uns die Liebe Katrin ohne H 😁 Sie hat danach geschaut, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und gut gelaunt. Für ein Späßchen auch immer dabei. Das Ambiente war sehr angenehm. Man konnte sich ohne Probleme in einer normalen Lautstärke unterhalten und war auch nicht von anderen Gästen gestört. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt! Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Wir waren gestern zum Frühstücken im Einstein. Super nettes Personal, große Auswahl und sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir wurden sehr schnell bedient. Alles war toll angerichtet und von sehr guter Qualität. Definitiv klare Weiterempfehlung. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Eine Reservierung ist sicher zu empfehlen. Was auch nicht jeder weiß, man kann nur bargeldlos bezahlen.

Café Einstein? Nie wieder! „Nur Kartenzahlung, wir nehmen kein Bargeld!“ So wird man im Einstein begrüßt. Ich entscheide, wie ich bezahle, und nicht die Betreiber.

Meine Frau und ich waren zum ersten Mal zum Frühstücken im Einstein. Da meine Frau seit einiger Zeit eine Gluten-Unverträglichkeit hat fällt die Auswahl für Restaurants und Cafés nicht immer ganz leicht. Im Einstein war das überhaupt kein Thema. Zu jedem Frühstück können gegen einen fairen Aufpreis auch glutenfreie Backwaren geordert werden 🙌🏼 Die Auswahl ist riesig, hier sollte wirklich jeder Gaumen das passende Frühstück finden. Geschmeckt hat es durch die Bank spitze, optisch ansprechend angerichtet war Alles dazu auch noch ✔️ Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service, faire Preise, nette Location… Was will man denn mehr 😀

Wir waren zum Kaffee und weil es so gut war noch zum Abendessen. Das war mit Abstand eines der besten Restaurants die wir je besucht haben. Absolut perfekter Service, ein traumhaftes Essen das auch Sonderwünsche perfekt umgesetzt hat. Tolles Ambiente mit stimmungsvoller Untermalung. Super gerne wieder. Parken ist gegenüber in der Tiefgarage möglich. Oberirdisch gibt es auch jede Menge E-Ladeplätze vor dem Maritim Hotel.

Nur noch Kartenzahlung möglich.
