A delicious meal with pleasant company in a great atmosphere.

Hooray!!! Pino, the restaurant owner, has found a new and apparently very good chef; his name is Nicola. With his redefined Italian cuisine, Da Franco will definitely rise back to the top of Germany's best Italian restaurants. We've been there three times since Nicola took over and have enjoyed many different appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Not a single dish left us with even the slightest reason to complain. The food is very tasty; the meat, fish, pasta, etc., are of excellent quality. We are so happy that one of our favorite restaurants in Ulm has returned to where it belongs. Keep it up! Highly recommended!

We were here with my 2-year-old niece on a Saturday evening, and they were so sweet to her and took such good care of her needs. We felt comfortable and welcome the entire evening. The food was delicious. Had carpaccio of figs and scallops for starters (absolutely divine) followed by langoustine risotto with refreshing Lugana. The service was superb. Will definitely return.

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. Considering how popular DaFranco seems, I expected more. The service was poorly presented, and the quality left a lot to be desired, apart from the hair in the Bolognese sauce. Good food and good service come at a high price – but the price/performance ratio here is miles apart.

A great place in Ulm, with excellent, generous Italian cuisine. A very friendly welcome even though we were just passing through, and the staff even made the effort to speak French out of pure kindness. The pasta with fresh ingredients and the tiramisu were excellent. A small digestif was offered. I recommend it! Tony.

Great, varied menu. Friendly, impeccable service. Wonderful ambiance. We arrived at the restaurant shortly before opening due to a rain shower. This wasn't a problem for the staff present. We were seated very kindly and served courteously even before opening. A good place for dinner for two, but certainly also for events and celebrations. I wanted to order tiramisu for dessert, but the recommendation was mascarpone with strawberries. A poem! Thank you for a spontaneous, wonderful evening!

We visited Da Franco again after a long time and were simply disappointed. The service, the food, and the ambiance were all disappointing compared to what we're used to. The plates the food was served on were canteen-quality, and the presentation of the dishes was uninspired and unappealing. We had to order our drinks three times before they finally arrived. But what was truly awful was the women's restroom. The toilet on the left was non-existent; only the bare concrete structure remained. If a toilet is broken, they could at least lock the door and put up a "Out of Order" sign so that guests wouldn't have to see such a mess. In the working restroom, there were used feminine hygiene products scattered all over the counter and toilet paper on the floor. The trash can by the sink was overflowing, and used paper was strewn everywhere – it was like a train station restroom. We will not be visiting this restaurant again; we were extremely disappointed.

Super difficult situation! The service was interesting and a bit different...but that's what made it special! Unfortunately, I have to strongly criticize the food! I may just be extremely spoiled...but value for money looks different to me! Oh well...what was worse was that my bill was actually €59. I said, "Are you sure?" and usually everyone adds it up, but they immediately said €69 and apologized... I thought about it for a long time, recalculated it, and well...too much tip for the taste...it is what it is. It doesn't hurt me, and for me, it was the last time I go there...it's a shame, you actually have a great reputation...but I'm spoiled by fine dining, and that's not what I'm used to.

The BEST Italian restaurant in Ulm and the surrounding area!

The food was good, but the service was unsatisfactory. We had to wait for our plates to be cleared while other guests were already getting their next course. We also had to ask for dessert. Finally, we had to chase the staff to get the bill. They simply handed us the device with the amount on it, and the waiter moved on to the next table without saying a word.

The restaurant is fantastic. The staff is very polite. The manager is very relaxed and enjoys chatting with you. And everything is absolutely delicious. I've been there many times and tried a variety of dishes. Pasta, meat, fish, pizza. Everything is absolutely delicious. It's simply my favorite restaurant.

We arrived at the restaurant rather late but were still warmly welcomed. Even though the kitchen had already been partially cleaned, we were still allowed to order a pizza – very accommodating! The pizza and wine were excellent, and the service was very friendly. Thank you very much – we'll be back!

Incredibly great restaurant and superb service!! My girlfriend and I went to dafranco for dinner on Wednesday (July 9). We were warmly greeted at the door by a young lady and then shown to a table by the manager. We didn't have a reservation, but we still managed to get a seat in the busy restaurant. We had a mixed starter and both ordered pasta. Everything was really fresh and delicious. The young server was very friendly and attentive. She asked us every now and then if we wanted a drink, and we didn't lack for anything! We were very impressed and would love to come back! Aperol Spritz a 10/10!!

That evening, we had reserved a table at Da Franco in Ulm for 6 p.m. We arrived a little early and were greeted by the owner, who showed us to a lovely table. What immediately caught our attention was the white tablecloths used to cover all the tables. Linen napkins and olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper were placed on each table. You immediately feel like you're in Italy, which is exactly where we were headed. Before the starter, we received a delicious little amuse-bouche from the kitchen. We were also given a basket of bread. All the dishes we ordered were fresh, prepared with love, and very tasty. They even accommodated food allergies and dietary requirements. Simply... fantastico!

Even during the two planning sessions with Pino, the owner, it was clear that we felt absolutely in good hands. Warm, open, and loving. He not only listened to our wishes, but also took them to a new level with his experience and professionalism. With honest advice, great suggestions, and, as a total surprise, a small food tasting beforehand. We hadn't expected that. Even then, it was clear: This is a solid 10 out of 10. On the day of the celebration, everything was just perfect. We were welcomed like family. Pino anticipated our every wish, served us personally, and looked after us and our guests as if it were his own celebration. Every single guest was attentively and warmly cared for. The service was first-class. There were no empty glasses. Special requests were fulfilled as a matter of course. We were allowed to play our own music, party loudly, dance, and laugh – right in the middle of regular daily business. This was anything but a given and a real highlight for us. The food was absolutely top-notch. All guests received their dishes at the same time, everything hot, fresh, and delicious. The kitchen did a fantastic job. We take our hats off to them. What particularly touched us: Pino remembered our guests' names and addressed them personally. This attentiveness and warmth are extraordinary. I've never experienced anything like it before. For us, it was a 12 out of 10. There was nothing to complain about. We are grateful, happy, and full of wonderful memories. A huge thank you to the entire team, and especially to Pino. You won our hearts. We will definitely be back.

I had lunch at Franco's with friends. I tried Chef Artemir's tagliatelle with gorgonzola, squid ink, calamari and pistachios and then the sea bream with saffron cream, strawberry chutney and crunchy vegetables. A wonderful experience I'll be back very soon

If you want to go out in style, then here! Unfortunately, the theater tickets didn't allow us to eat a full Italian meal. We definitely want to come back here, preferably open ended. Very nice vitello tonnato, antipasti, tagliatelle with liver and oyster mushrooms.

Das Restaurant da Franco war eines Tages sehr beeindruckend schön und lecker,aber jetzt ist bedauerlich nicht das Geld Wert .Die Qualität …gute Frage!schmeckt blass aus.Der Service ist lieber beschäftigt mit der Kaugummi aus dem Mund statt die Gäste zu servieren als würde das Personal erzwingen zu arbeiten kein Lächeln / Freundlichkeit einfach nur trist.Keine Interesse ob wir was zum trinken möchten obwohl die Gläser waren schon lange leer.Sind die Menschen wie Robotte geworden.Nicht mal tschüss beim Abschied als wir gegangen sind.Ich finde nur sprachlos.Nie wieder mein Geld da zulassen oder meine Zeit dort zu verlieren.Sorry.

Food is delicious and the service is excellent

We were very disappointed that evening. The order was only taken after about 20-30 minutes when asked. Only partially empty glasses were taken. No questions in between. For 4 people >400€ I would actually have expected more. I thought the price of the food was too high. The tiramisu at the end was great.

We were there again on the occasion of our wedding anniversary and were horrified. After 25 minutes we still hadn't been asked what we wanted to drink, even though we had pointed out our order several times. The restaurant was at most half full. Then I ordered risotto - like I always did before. Unfortunately the risotto was terrible in consistency and uninspired and boring in taste. Since we had a voucher, we handed it in for payment and the amount owed was one euro less than the value of the voucher. The waitress simply said “it fits exactly”. No!! Doesn't fit exactly. So unfortunately the change of ownership robbed the store of any class and it died for us. I can only advise against spending your hard-earned money on this manifestation of the gastronomic misery.

I was today in this wonderful restaurant, really welcoming, super super clean and above all, Mr Pino, a welcome that won't end, go and try the delicious dishes, really go there

Very poor service We recently had a Christmas party there. The table was reserved in advance for 20 people at around 8:30 p.m. Me and a colleague were there a little earlier. No greeting and no one asked us whether we had a reservation etc., we stood there as ordered and were not picked up. The table that was supposed to be reserved wasn't even free. I ordered tea and didn't even get a spoon or sugar. It took forever before you could even order. We ate at 9:45 p.m. I ordered pizza specials but I have to be honest I have eaten much, much better!!! When my colleagues ordered a meat dish, the side dishes were a joke (2 slices of potatoes and 3 tablespoons of vegetables). The service was very disorganized and kind of a mess. The cutlery was also missing for the cappuccino and dessert!!! I and my colleagues didn't like the atmosphere at all, it was uncomfortable and too bright, and it was also cold because the door at the entrance was open. All in all I would give it a rating of 5. I wouldn't go there a second time.

Pleasant environment and service. Except for the tall waiter who always has his hands behind his back and has no feeling for this job. The food is good. It's not fully seasoned and the pasta was a bit overcooked. But the ingredients are of good quality and the wine was very good. Great coffee

We had a big celebration at da Franco with 40 people and were very excited. The menu put together by Pino was very, very tasty and of very high quality. The service and the entire support during the celebration were excellent, and we found the price-performance ratio unbeatable for the Ulm area. All guests felt very comfortable and we had a really great evening. Our next larger celebration will definitely take place again at da Franco :-)

Fast and friendly delivery. The pizza was very greasy and nothing special. Price-performance ratio is not right here at all. Some kebab shops even do it better.

A very chic Italian restaurant with very tasty food. The prices are slightly higher depending on the quality, the ambience and the service. We recommend!

Business lunch with 7 people, as soon as we arrived at the entrance we almost bounced off a waitress while looking for the reservation, despite our politeness we were treated as if we were not wanted, the menus and water arrived quite quickly, then nothing happened for 30 minutes Loveless greeting from the kitchen, no wine list, complaint, wine arrives after a few more minutes, then the starters, which were of solid quality, as were the main courses, but they seemed less high quality than the prices would have suggested, there was a lack of detail and probably also love . All in all, the “best Italian” on the pitch unfortunately remains far behind his previous form.

The food was okay, but nothing more. Price-performance is not right. Service: I think it's not usually like this and I was at the wrong time, wrong place. In short, the service was slightly confused (forgot what we ordered), which meant that we received our food very late. Unfortunately, for example, we were not served parmesan with the pasta, although it was part of the dish we ordered. But ultimately a clean and tidy place with a pleasant atmosphere.

Very good Italian cuisine. Located in the middle of Ulm and therefore easy to reach by public transport and car. Short route to the city center of Ulm and the Ulm Minster. The selection of food is great, prices are a bit higher.

Wir haben uns auf ein feines Nachtessen gefreut. Leider war das Nichts. Die eine gewählte Vorspeise der Karte war ausgegangen, das Gleich dann nochmals beim Dessert. Dem Koch scheint das Salz abhanden gekommen zu sein, alle Speisen waren sehr fade. Der Service klappte nicht wirklich gut, obwohl genügend Servierpersonal herumstand. Für diese Preisklasse erwarten wir einen anderen Service, eine andere Qualität.

Super Service, doch das Essen ist nur durchschnittlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhäktnis passt nicht. Für die lediglich solide Küche sind die Preise zu hoch.

Very good Italian (real Italian) food, simple and tasty. Delightful antipasto and more than decent pizza. Extremely efficient and friendly service. Exceptional wine list from Italy. After an hour and a few glasses of wine from Puglia, it was hard to remember we were in Germany, a couple of minutes walk from Ulm train station. Thanks for such a great evening.

Ein rundum-Wohlfühlrestaurant, angefangen von der freundlichen Begrüßung, gepflegten und stilvol eingedeckten Tischen, dem unkomplizierten Bestellen, dem Eingehen auf Wünsche, dem abwechslungsreichen Angebot der Speisen und dem hervorragenden Essen. Ganz einfach ausgedrückt: Ulms mit Abstand bester Italiener! mehr muss man nicht sagen. Franco ist die erste Adresse.

Waren zum Mittagessen an einem Sonntag. Hervorragender Service, Essen und Ambiente mehr gibts nicht zu sagen. Personal äußerst zuvorkommend und auf Zack. Alle Gerichte waren hervorragend und auch Preislich total in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
