Pizzeria Romantica in Ulm

My husband's pizza was supposedly very good. Unfortunately, my pasta dish was nothing... Precooked pasta, meat sauce with 5g of ground meat... Thanks to the gratin, I still felt full...

The pizza base is very thin and burnt on the bottom, making it difficult to cut. The toppings are rather sparse but tasty. (Not my cup of tea)

We had a wonderful meal, and on our way home, we were able to capture the atmosphere of our Italian vacation on the cozy terrace under the trees. We received a very warm welcome (despite not having made a reservation) and the dishes were delicious, including antipasti della casa, excellent pizzas, lasagna, and tagliatelle romantica. A lovely wine selection, too. Grazie mille! Highly recommended!

A great pizzeria! The pizza is simply outstanding – fresh dough, perfectly baked, and topped with delicious ingredients. The wait times are completely normal, and to top it all off, there was a chocolate cake that was not only surprisingly delicious but also lovingly presented. The service was attentive, friendly, and all around perfect. Highly recommended!

We ate here on a Monday evening while traveling from the Netherlands to Italy. It was a national holiday, and this restaurant was the only one open in the area. We and our two kids (10 and 13 years old) reserved a table through the convenient online reservation tool, and we received a confirmation. The owner is a true Italian (who also speaks German and English). This gave us a great opportunity to brush up on our Italian vocabulary. The interior has Italian accents, and if you sit by the window at the back, you have a view of the Danube (don't overdo it, because you just see a river). A candle was lit on the table, and that was about the only thing that lived up to the name "Romantica." Despite the unexpected crowd, we received quick and friendly service. Both the white wine we ordered and the children's drinks were well-chilled and tasted great (we are quite picky about wine). All four of us ordered pizza, and they tasted delicious. A delicious, crispy crust from the wood-fired oven with wonderful flavors. The desserts we enjoyed (tiramisu and a chocolate cake) were also very good. There was also a fairly large terrace outside, but due to the inclement weather, it wasn't open for dining. It was perfectly suitable for a smoke. We'd welcome a gardener to come in and tidy up a bit. All in all, we had a wonderful meal, and we were ready to continue our journey the next day. Would we eat here again in similar circumstances? The answer is yes!

We ordered a pizza, a lasagna and a salad to take away. The pizza was okay, the lasagna was good and the salad was relatively simple for €15.60.

First of all, THANK YOU FOR A REALLY GOOD MEAL. We were there on Easter Sunday 7 people eating. We were all really happy, the pizzas came at the same time, excellent dough and the toppings, just great. Personally, I'm not a pizza fan because I've been too disappointed, but I'll become a regular there. The only thing that needs to be improved is the appearance does not correspond to the performance of this restaurant. It's actually a shame. My wife and I ate “Pizza Alex”, 2x10 points

Erstens sind die Preise absurd für was es ist. Das Essen ist nicht nur vom Geschmack her schlecht, sondern auch die Qualität ist miserabel. Würde mann einfach schnell etwas Essen um satt zu sein oke..... Aber 4,7???? Das ist definitiv nicht passend!

Unfortunately, the New Year's Eve menu was a really big disappointment and a real rip-off! For the main course there was only bread and no side dishes like potatoes or pasta and the thin fillet was completely dead! For dessert there was also a purchased Pandoro cake with mascarpone cream. It may be that the pizzas are good, but you are completely overwhelmed and incompetent with a New Year's Eve menu.

I've never eaten such a bad pizza in my entire life, so for the price I should have gotten a quality frozen pizza.

We were in the area and spontaneously made a reservation. We were briefly shocked from the outside because everything is so old and in need of restoration. We were surprised inside. Everything decorated in an "old-fashioned" style, with paintings on the wall. Lots of pillows on the bench which especially pleased the sleeping junior. Very well furnished. Starter and main course were very tasty. People always asked if anything was missing and drinks were always brought very quickly. Ice cream is also highly recommended, it doesn't taste artificially sweet but rather fruity. Price-wise also great. Service very nice. We'll be back

Great pizza, family-run restaurant/restaurant, friendly, chatty people People, Pizza QuattroFormaggi my favorite, see pictures, good prices. Atmosphere appealing inside and out. If you are looking for a good restaurant outside of Ulm, you have come to the right place. The Danube flows along a few meters further down from the restaurant, which rounds off the ambience as a highlight, especially in summer. Just go and take a seat, your meal will be taken care of, guaranteed. Therefore 5 stars from me.

We were there yesterday with 7 people and the taste was very tasty. I had the Romantica salad, which could have been more plentiful, my son had the dish in the photo which was priced at €28 and he was also satisfied. Pizzas were cheap around €10 and everyone was happy. Nice attentive service, we will definitely come back again.

Das Essen war außergewöhnlic, kurz gesagt nicht in Worte zu fassen. Service vorallem wie immer sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Es war wie immer ein gelungener Abend. Dieses Restaurant ist ein Muss. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Anfangs waren wir nicht ganz überzeugt von dem Restaurant aufgrund des äußeren Erscheinungsbildes von Haus und Grundstück. Drinnen angekommen, geht es etwas besser weiter, doch auch hier zeigt sich eine vergangene Ära. Schlussendlich war das Essen super und alle zufrieden. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, leckere Speisen Frutti di Mare und Pizza hatte ich und zum Abschied einen Limoncello aufs Haus, ein rundum gelungener Abend mit Kollegen in einem sehr sehr netten italienischen Restaurant, absolut zu empfehlen und wir kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder

We sat outside in the beer garden as it was a sunny evening. It's family run authentic Italian restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. We had two aperols before deciding on one pizza capricciosa and one gnocchi sardi. We had a carafe of primitivo red wine too. We really enjoyed our dining experience here and it was a nice touch to get two free limoncellos. We would recommend you give this place a try.

Also da weiß man gar nicht wo man anfangen soll wir haben draußen in diesem angeblichen Bier Garten gesessen der eine Mischung von Baustelle und Lagerstätten ist .mal abgesehen von der schlechten Lage an der Hauptstraße.Aber das schlimmste war die Pizza lange nicht mehr eine so schlechte gegessen eigentlich wollten wir da gar nichts essen aber es gab in der Nähe nichts anderes Fußläufig nächstes mal lieber hungrig ist zurück ins Hotel

Altes Haus sehr gemütlich Vorspeise war gut und Pizza auch alles in allem sehr angenehm

Waren an einem Sonntagabend mit 6 Erwachsenen und 7 Kindern beim Abendessen. Die Pasta und die Pizzen wurden alle komplett aufgegessen ,nicht mal der Rand von einer Pizza war am Ende auf irgendein Teller zu sehen. Also Topp das essen! Außerdem wird herrliches sardinisches "Ichnusa Bier" angeboten. Sehr empfehlenswert. Werden wieder kommen.

Immer wieder nett und lustig ist ein Besuch bei Alex im Ristorante Romantica in Gögglingen. So langsam wird auch das Lokal auf Vordermann gebracht. Die Toiletten sind renoviert und im Januar 2020 kommt eine neue Thekenanlage. Und etwas finde ich ganz toll, endlich das erse italienische Restaurant im Ulmer Raum, auf dem es wie in Italien Grissini auf den Tisch geschafft haben. Auch der Service ist wieder ganz der alte. und beim Essen braucht man keine Angst haben, das es nicht schmeckt. Ales, Alessia und Mama Casu macht weiter so. Ist halt noch einer der wenigen Familienbetriebe in Ulm. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gern ins Romantica.

Wir waren 7 Personen an einem Donnerstag Abend. Glücklicherweise haben wir noch spontan einen Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Leider haben wir sehr lange auf unser Essen warten müssen, obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll belegt war. Das letzte Essen kam unglücklicherweise erst, als der erste bereits mit dem Essen fertig war. Es wurden zB auch das Brot zum Salat vergessen, obwohl dies in der Karte so ausgewiesen ist. Die Preise sind gehoben und nicht wie ausgeschrieben preiswert. Das Ambiente ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr liebevoll hergerichtet.

IL locale e' semplice, ma si mangia bene Ho preso un carpaccio ed una pizza e mi sono piaciuti. Personale efficiente. Prezzi buoni. .

Vitrine mit Vorspeisen wenig appetitlich anzuschauen. Karte viel zu umfangreich. Pizzateig gut. Bedienung freundlich. Lokalität innen eine in die Jahre gekommene Erscheinung, ein Sammelsurium mit beinahe an Körperverletzung grenzender geschmacklicher Zumutung.

Chef persönlich hat uns bedient. Sehr freundlich und lustig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Pizza war hauchdünn und kross. Der Salat mit verschiedenen Blattsalaten und Käsesorten, dazu frisches Pizzabrot. Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Girovagando per la Germania da 7 giorni provando la buona cucina tedesca volevamo tornare un po' a casa e qui abbiamo trovato casa. Soprattutto i due bimbi (4 e 6 anni) tra pizza e lasagne hanno voluto ripetere qui la cena per due giorni consecutivi. Tutto ottimo e direi che per i prodotti offerti i costi sono stati ben al di sotto delle aspettative. Servizio preciso e simpatico e tavolo all'aperto con vista Danubio hanno reso le nostre due cene perfette.

Dank dem guten Wetter hatten wir die Gelegenheit Salat und Pizza auf der Gartenterrasse, draussen unter Bäumen, zu geniessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Auswahl der Speisekarte gross und sehr italienisch, das Essen und der Hauswein waren gut.

A lovely Italian restaurant close to the Donau. They serve authenic Italian dishes, because they are Italian. We had a tuna salad, salmon tagliatelle and gnocchi accompanied with a German beer called 'Paulander'. It was simply great! I also recommend trying one of those beers. They have a garden which I would recommend when the weather is nice. They allow dogs. I would recommend this restaurant if you are nearby or staying in one of the cute German hotels.
