Truly genuine, friendly, and customer-oriented service. Wonderfully uncomplicated. You feel completely comfortable and welcome. We'll definitely eat there next time!
After Augusto's had been closed for a while and has now reopened under new management, we made our traditional anniversary visit on November 13th.
I was pleasantly surprised by the new menu. I had a shawarma pizza, and we shared a plate of the 12 small pizzas (No. 17). You can fill these 12 pizzas with whatever you like, making it the perfect way to try all the new Lebanese pizzas. That won me over. It was delicious and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back, and not just on November 13th! 🤗
The food here at the country inn was absolutely delicious, and the service was particularly attentive. I would definitely eat here again. The value for money is fantastic; I'd gladly return.
Atmosphere: Bright living room, but unfortunately lacking the cozy atmosphere of a traditional inn. The cool ambiance and the curtains make it difficult to perceive it as a dining room.
Service: Present, but unfortunately not consistently attentive. The fact that the tables at our long table were placed close to the wall, forcing all interaction from the servers to cross the table over the guests' shoulders, was distracting and came across as anything but professional.
Food: I'd like to comment solely on the goose breast. It was very dry, the sauce could have been reduced by a good two-thirds more to add some flavor, the red cabbage was passable but average, and unfortunately, no cranberries were served with the goose. The latter is, of course, optional, but it would have enhanced the dish in this case.
In summary, the restaurant attempts to impress with traditional German cuisine, also offering dishes like steak, and strives for a modern feel. Unfortunately, this balancing act isn't particularly successful in either direction. Sorry, but it could be so much better.
We made a table reservation by phone. The staff were very friendly on the phone, and we got a table right away. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff and given the menus immediately. After ordering our food and drinks, the drinks were served quite quickly. The food also arrived fairly fast. The atmosphere was nice, but the music was a bit too loud for my taste.
The pizza was generously topped with salami and cheese. Unfortunately, the Pizza Diavola didn't have any pepperoni or similar toppings; it seemed like they used pure chili oil, so the pizza was practically swimming in it. The crust was slightly burnt, which I personally liked. The price was good, but it would be ideal to use other ingredients instead of so much oil to add some spice to the pizza.
