We felt like we were in Berlin 🙃 A great way to end the day for my birthday 😎 In a commercial area, cool atmosphere, no frills 👍🏼 Very friendly and fast service! You order via QR code and also pay with your phone. The food was GREAT 🔝🍔 Good value for money! Parking is scarce.

The food was great as always, although today around 7 p.m. they ran out of coleslaw. That's never been there before!! There's no alcohol left, only non-alcoholic beer. In the spring, they said "it's closed." Now they're citing the long walk to the bathroom as the reason?? On the other hand, there was a company event, and they served different beer, and there's a bar there too! What's going on with you? We had a regular meeting with 8 people and were already disappointed with the drinks. Best regards, Heike Basto

We were there at 7 p.m., but unfortunately they were out of coleslaw, only non-alcoholic beer was available, and no glasses were available. Unfortunately, they also didn't accept cash payments. They should mention this on their website 😏. There was a seminar next door that had everything. We were there with eight people and were very disappointed 😞.

Great food, also great for team events, etc. You learn a lot about classic Texan BBQ. The only downside is that parking is hard to find!

Solid BBQ, but unfortunately not truly outstanding. The Texas Hot Link sausage was only lukewarm and unfortunately not spicy at all. The pulled pork was decent, but unfortunately also only lukewarm. My friend's baby back ribs were the only bright spot. Still, a relaxed evening with fast, friendly service.

Never had such a great burger in Germany! We were at the Kö festival yesterday and had a burger here. The price (menu €13.90 including fries) I think it's really good value. The burger with the buns and onions was amazing!! The meat wasn't as thin as many others and it was incredibly tasty. We'll definitely be back. The fries were a 9 out of 10, so it was a perfect match. Service was good and the staff were very friendly!

Anyone who likes US BBQ will love it here. These guys know how to use a smoker.

The food was delicious, but almost cold when it arrived. You had to sit outside on wooden benches, but it was covered. You had to order and pay using a QR code on your phone, so no cash payments were possible; card payments were only accepted on your phone. It's largely self-service; you can only reserve a table using an app. The toilet was unfortunately very dirty. You HAD to tip using the QR code, at least 5% to 15%. It would have been nice if the information regarding ordering and payment had been available online. Relatively expensive, but you'd expect more for the price.

It's a cool place. The spare ribs are usually fresh from the smoker. Be sure to order a full rack! Sometimes you may have to wait a while for the next fresh ribs, but as I said, they're really fresh!

We really enjoyed it; great service and delicious food. We'll definitely be back.

I don't understand all this hype. The pulled beef burger was a disaster in my opinion. The meat was so dry and stringy that it was hard to swallow. The bun was tasteless. Sauce? Onions, maybe something green? None! The chicken wings were cold and undercooked on the bone. Chili fries? Fries tossed in chili con carne with an unidentifiable sauce and three slices of jalapeños. It could be delicious. Definitely not here. The chow slaw salad was just bad. Dry, not dressed in any way, just a rip-off. My other colleagues had similar opinions. Apparently the spare ribs weren't bad. I can't judge since I didn't try them. The tables were very dirty. Sometimes a rag with soap and water works wonders! The cutlery at the table in the jug was so filthy. The service staff was always attentive and shone with unprofessionalism. The operators certainly want to compete at the top price-wise. The quality is definitely not up to the mark. Unfortunately, it was an evening to forget. Any kebab shop, any snack bar can do better. I wish the operators would take a closer look and significantly improve the quality and cleanliness! BBQ can be delicious, too! Maybe then they can give it another try.

Tastes like I made it myself, meaning it couldn't be better! We had ribs, pulled pork, and chicken wings. At first glance, it's an unassuming place, but it has a wonderfully rustic feel, which goes very well with the food on offer. If you like BBQ, you should definitely stop by here, and if you're only used to the run-of-the-mill BBQ of your competitors, you'll be in for a tasty surprise.

Very tasty barbecue with a smoky flavor. It's the kind of American barbecue you'd expect, but it's rarely found in Germany. We especially enjoyed the brisket. This place is a must for all barbecue fans.

The prices are far too high for such small portions. If you're spending over €40, you should at least be somewhat full. We were there as a couple, including my wife, who eats a bit less than I do. I also went there because I wanted to try brisket, but I was only told when I got there that it wasn't available until 6 p.m. It's a shame this information wasn't posted anywhere beforehand. So, my four-hour drive wasn't worth it.

Best authentic BBQ in Düsseldorf

It felt like a vacation in the USA. My ribs were very good, my companion was a bit unlucky, but those ribs are also difficult to keep warm. I thought it was good and would come back. It was empty at lunch, and they have a lunch menu.

The food was super delicious, but the ribs could definitely have used more BBQ sauce. It was definitely not enough for my taste. It was spread very thinly; more could have been done. The menu via the QR code could also be made much more transparent; we had trouble guessing what some of the dishes actually meant and how much each item actually consisted of. Various information and possibly even pictures of the respective dishes are definitely missing. Instead of chili cheese fries, we had chili con carne with fries because it simply wasn't described in detail. Unfortunately, that wasn't our cup of tea. Unfortunately, there's no decent beer available either, except for non-alcoholic ones. And for 18 euros, I would have expected a bit more of a portion. There were no knives and forks at the table, and we weren't offered them either; you obviously had to get them yourself. The ambiance, on the other hand, is super cool, and the drinks and food were brought to the table quickly!

A delicious and secluded BBQ spot! The sauces are delicious and the meat is juicy. It's good value for money and everything is uncomplicated. Good place for larger groups.

The food was okay. The ribs were lukewarm and arrived with a hint of marinade. The tray of food was placed on the table without a word. Ketchup and mayonnaise were free, but you had to get them yourself at the counter. The restrooms were in a truck from the fair and weren't particularly clean. Pictured is a half-rack and fries. It was just something for a little hunger.

We've been here several times because the food is always delicious. The meat is really tender and just falls right off the ribs. I also really like the pulled beef :) The house-made BBQ sauces are delicious, too. The tater tots are a great side dish: fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. The service is always friendly and attentive, and you can even conveniently order at your table via your phone. Highly recommended if you like or want to try real BBQ!

The meat and sauces are perfectly matched. The service was also very good, and the staff is very friendly. The vibe at the restaurant is really great, and the ambiance is simple but fits the BBQ perfectly.

Unfortunately, there was too much pepper on the beef brisket and the beef ribs. The chicken wings tasted like fried fat. The pulled pork tasted of nothing after so much pepper. The pasta in the cheese-covered sauce wasn't worth mentioning, as the pasta was so overcooked that it tasted of nothing. The fries were a hit, but the other thing that was too peppery was the saltiness. Food, no thanks. We won't be back and I can't recommend it. The service staff was friendly and helpful. The price/performance ratio wasn't right. It's a shame we expected more.

Why haven't I been here sooner? From ambiance to smartphone payment system—everything is top-notch! You can still see the quality here! No wonder it's reflected in the reviews!

I had the pulled beef BBQ burger with skin-on fries and coleslaw at Smoke BBQ in Ratingen – and I was absolutely thrilled with the taste! The meat was wonderfully tender and flavorful, the BBQ flavor was beautifully smoky, and the side dishes rounded it all off perfectly. The coleslaw, in particular, was fresh and crispy – just as it should be. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and cheerful. I also really liked the location: stylish, cozy, and with an authentic BBQ flair. You can tell the heart and soul put into the work here. One small point that makes me deduct a star is the portion size – a bit larger would have been nice. The prices are still reasonable overall, but combined with the rather compact portion, this is a bit noticeable. Overall, though, a great experience with delicious food and a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back – Smoke BBQ is a great addition to Ratingen!

It's great that we found this place. I had a non-alcoholic SpareRips Radler and water. It's a cool place that's also embraced digitalization: digital menus, digital ordering, and card payments. It's not for everyone, but I think it's great.

I went there because of the great reviews and social media and wanted to check it out. I got the pulled beef burger. It was served quickly but was quite small and came with no sides. I wasn't too impressed. It was also quite pricey. I didn't try their other options, I guess they're better.

We wanted to eat there because of the good reviews. It's a good thing I read on. No cash payment accepted. Online, not even debit cards. Ordering via QR code. Not our cup of tea. My review doesn't explicitly state anything about taste or quality. Unfortunately, we didn't get that far.

We traveled 80km especially for this trip and were not disappointed. We were in Texas in the fall and loved the brisket here. It's absolutely on par. We'll definitely be back in the summer!

Cutlery wasn't provided, but we were given some upon request – but it was dirty. The metal parts where the food was placed were just as dirty... Sauce under the tray and stains directly on my sweater... absolutely horrible.... Ketchup bowls, where you have to go and pump out the ketchup yourself, were only provided upon request, despite each of us ordering... Now, to the food: It tasted good. However, everything was already cold, I don't think it was fresh. It also arrived less than five minutes after we ordered. You don't expect that at all for those prices; for a burger, a drink, and ketchup, you'll pay around €30. NEVER AGAIN

I was there yesterday and had the most expensive platter with various types of meat (spare ribs, pulled beef, sausage, etc.). It was enough for two people, but I thought the food tasted okay and didn't have a wow factor. On top of that, most of the meat was only lukewarm, which meant it got cold quickly (it wasn't busy). I thought it was a bit too expensive 🙏 a shame, I would have liked to give it a better rating, but unfortunately it was only okay.

Delicious food and location with BBQ charm

As someone with US roots and a rather critical palate when it comes to BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender as butter, falling off the bone perfectly – exactly how it should be. The selection is great, the sauces creative (the chili mayo was a real highlight!), and the sides like coleslaw and the "Tods" (definitely try it!) were also really good. Sure – you just can't quite match authentic ribs from Texas or Colorado in Germany. You lack that indescribable, distinctive flavor of the meat, which still comes through despite the BBQ smoke. Here, the BBQ aroma was perhaps a bit too overpowering – so not a full five stars, but a solid four! Plus point: Super friendly service, especially on Sunday – the young lady was not only personable, but also did a really great job. Value for money? Top, especially for the quality and the location a bit out of town. In conclusion: If you're looking for solid, lovingly prepared BBQ with a touch of the USA – definitely go there! I'll definitely be back.
