The food tastes great, the shop is nice, and the service is great! I'll be back!

We wanted to eat there because of the good reviews. It's a good thing I read on. No cash payment accepted. Online, not even debit cards. Ordering via QR code. Not our cup of tea. My review doesn't explicitly state anything about taste or quality. Unfortunately, we didn't get that far.

I went there because of the great reviews and social media and wanted to check it out. I got the pulled beef burger. It was served quickly but was quite small and came with no sides. I wasn't too impressed. It was also quite pricey. I didn't try their other options, I guess they're better.

Service staff was super helpful

We traveled 80km especially for this trip and were not disappointed. We were in Texas in the fall and loved the brisket here. It's absolutely on par. We'll definitely be back in the summer!

Cutlery wasn't provided, but we were given some upon request – but it was dirty. The metal parts where the food was placed were just as dirty... Sauce under the tray and stains directly on my sweater... absolutely horrible.... Ketchup bowls, where you have to go and pump out the ketchup yourself, were only provided upon request, despite each of us ordering... Now, to the food: It tasted good. However, everything was already cold, I don't think it was fresh. It also arrived less than five minutes after we ordered. You don't expect that at all for those prices; for a burger, a drink, and ketchup, you'll pay around €30. NEVER AGAIN

Delicious food and location with BBQ charm

I was there yesterday and had the most expensive platter with various types of meat (spare ribs, pulled beef, sausage, etc.). It was enough for two people, but I thought the food tasted okay and didn't have a wow factor. On top of that, most of the meat was only lukewarm, which meant it got cold quickly (it wasn't busy). I thought it was a bit too expensive 🙏 a shame, I would have liked to give it a better rating, but unfortunately it was only okay.

As someone with US roots and a rather critical palate when it comes to BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender as butter, falling off the bone perfectly – exactly how it should be. The selection is great, the sauces creative (the chili mayo was a real highlight!), and the sides like coleslaw and the "Tods" (definitely try it!) were also really good. Sure – you just can't quite match authentic ribs from Texas or Colorado in Germany. You lack that indescribable, distinctive flavor of the meat, which still comes through despite the BBQ smoke. Here, the BBQ aroma was perhaps a bit too overpowering – so not a full five stars, but a solid four! Plus point: Super friendly service, especially on Sunday – the young lady was not only personable, but also did a really great job. Value for money? Top, especially for the quality and the location a bit out of town. In conclusion: If you're looking for solid, lovingly prepared BBQ with a touch of the USA – definitely go there! I'll definitely be back.

The restrooms in the "construction container" aren't that elegant and are very cramped. All in all, still recommended, but better in nice weather 😄

We were there with a group, and overall, the food was "okay." It's a shame that the chili cheese fries don't mention that chili from the meat is added to the fries. Otherwise, there was no sauce and very few jalapenos – a real shame! But the food came very quickly. The ambiance is unusual and kind of cool. Very friendly staff!

Why should I tip when there hasn't been any service or I've already eaten anything? - No more beer, only non-alcoholic. - No cutlery brought, so I had to get it myself. No sauce included, so I had to get it myself. The waitress was called after – skillfully ignored. + Ordering and paying via phone was problem-free. + Drinks and food arrived quickly. Food Rating: I had a 2 Meats 2 Sides consisting of: Half Rack of Ribs 125g Pulled Beef French Fries Coleslaw - Significantly smaller portions than 2 years ago, how are you supposed to get full? We went to McDonald's in Ratingen afterward... - Food was cold to lukewarm! - Prices have gone up - Smaller portions, bigger price? €30 ​​for the meal, given the ambiance, is pretty steep. - Coleslaw simply tasted like nothing. + Ribs and fries tasted okay, but nothing more. Best smoked meat in Düsseldorf!

Excellent ribs Excellent pulled beef & pork A chili con carne, which, as a big fan of this dish, I judge very meticulously, but which deserves its name. It tastes like a chili con carne should, only for a chilihead (unfortunately) there's no real fire behind it. Cozy little shop that clearly still has a lot to offer. I couldn't stop eating even when I was full; that only happens to me when the food tastes fantastic. For the portion of meat + sides, I thought the price of €34 was absolutely reasonable; I've paid more for much worse prepared meat. I'd gladly come back.

The food is excellent, but you eat from cardboard bowls with wooden cutlery. Ordering and payment are done via app or QR code. It's all very impersonal, and cash payments are no longer possible. Restaurant prices with a chip shop atmosphere.

This was our second time here in a short space of time. Such a beautiful location with very friendly service and truly amazing food. We also really like the option to order and pay with a QR code. So easy and straightforward! We'll definitely be back many more times :-)

Birthday BBQ with room for improvement – ​​unfortunately more desert than Wild West delight Last Friday, I went to Smoke BBQ Düsseldorf with my family for my birthday – very hungry, very excited, very disappointed. As soon as we arrived, we noticed: There's no waiter service here – you order via phone, pay immediately, and if you're lucky, everything arrives. Personal service? None. The platters were heaved onto the table without comment – ​​nothing was cleared away. The atmosphere? More like a self-service gas station than a BBQ experience. About the food: The burgers? Drier than a joke at a funeral – there wasn't a drop of juice left in them, but plenty of salt. The ribs? Tender, at least, but so over-seasoned that you felt like you were chewing on a spice rack. The rest of the plate seemed cobbled together – both visually and taste-wise. Just slapped on, done. There was a small light at the end of the tunnel for dessert: the cheesecake was truly delicious, creamy, and balanced. The brownie, however, was more of a crispy brick than a chocolatey finish. Nibble on it rather than savor it. Overall, any kind of BBQ culture was lacking – no instruction, no concept, no feeling. Just eat, drink soft drinks, and leave. The price was ambitious for what was offered – typical Düsseldorf. But the quality, unfortunately, wasn't up to par. Conclusion: If you're in the mood for a loveless, self-service BBQ with lots of salt and little heart – go for it. If you're looking for a culinary experience, you'd better move on. There was certainly no birthday vibe here.

The food was absolutely delicious – succulent BBQ, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly prepared. Special mention goes to the super friendly and attentive team, who welcomed us warmly and accompanied us throughout the entire evening. The organization was uncomplicated and professional, which made planning much easier. The team-building games were also great and a lot of fun, strengthening team spirit. Order with your cell phone and then the order changes again shortly afterwards. It's not possible, they say. Too bad!!! All four of us were loudly warm. Sanitary facilities not inviting. (Adventurous) Half an hour after opening there was no more paper for your hands. The taste was okay, but I've eaten better before and we're from Dülmen (Coesfeld)

I expected nothing other than the best ribs and brisket of my life. The advertising gives you hope for an extremely authentic taste experience that is not otherwise available in our region. In a very rustic setting, you can order food and drinks from a converted shipping container or use a QR code placed on the wooden tables to access the menu. No cash payment possible. Payment is only made directly online. The food is then brought to the table rather carelessly on metal trays. We chose the mix plates so that we could try out several different types of meat and side dishes. Anyone who expects negative things based on my previously chosen words will have to be disappointed. Ribs, brisket, wings and pulled pork are quite tasty and the 3 types of meat and 2 side dishes for 36 euros fill you up enough. But now this: you can eat just as well and deliciously in various other American restaurants in the area. In that sense there was nothing unique or particularly outstanding in taste. The extremely rustic “ambience” is certainly not for everyone.

Among other things, we had spare ribs and the pulled beef burger. Both very tasty. Burger could use a little more beef. Food can be conveniently ordered at the table using a QR code.

We visited Smoke BBQ this evening. The location is outside of Düsseldorf – in an industrial area near the airport. Although there is no on-site parking, that's precisely what makes the place interesting. Street parking is free. The restaurant has an industrial outdoor style, which could be a challenge on cooler days. There are heaters, but they're a bit limited for the size of the terrace. The food selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient – ​​you come here with one clear goal: to eat. You can't order alcoholic drinks – not even beer! They only serve non-alcoholic drinks. The staff is friendly, and the food was served very quickly – although it was only lukewarm. I didn't leave the restaurant particularly impressed. The brisket tasted okay, but nothing special. Given the many positive reviews, I honestly expected more. I think the place has potential – perhaps it just needs some time for the concepts to develop further and mature.

Delicious BBQ in a cozy atmosphere

High expectation - not met As big BBQ fans and connoisseurs, we were unfortunately disappointed. We were there on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The first disappointment... There is only non-alcoholic beer. But now to the essentials. We have brisket, ribs, beef fries and tater tots with 2 alternative drinks for €86!!! ordered. The tater tots were just great. Really delicious. The beef fries, like the brisket and ribs, were cold. Full of anticipation, we ordered 3 portions of the brisket. The brisket, the supreme discipline of Texas BBQ. We have eaten at Franklin's BBQ in Austin Texas several times and other well-known restaurants and know our way around brisket. What we were served has nothing to do with Texas brisket. - cold - dry! So dry it was difficult to chew - taste OK but the classic salt pepper taste is not present. - you won't be asked whether you want "lean" or "fatty". The demand for burnt ends could not be met either. If the service staff hadn't already been overwhelmed by the 30 or so guests, we would have sent the food back. Maybe we were just unlucky with the brisket, but warming up and serving brisket from the day before is an absolute disgrace at that price. The ribs were also cold when they arrived at the table. Very weak in taste, considering it is advertised so heavily. Meat and doneness were good. Unfortunately there is no smoke taste. It could also have been prepared in the oven. The presentation itself is nice, but there is room for improvement. Looks a bit like what was intended but not achieved. The guest is actually not expected to have to walk to the toilets. This has little to do with a professional restaurant. I would recommend that pitmasters take a 3 week vacation in Texas and be inspired by the original Texas BBQ.

Where all the good comments and 5 star ratings come from is really a mystery to me. We drove for over an hour and were unfortunately totally disappointed afterwards. We ordered the brisket, the pulled beef fries, and the ribs. The brisket was the biggest disappointment because it was completely dry and, like everything else, lukewarm to cold. The ribs completely lacked the smoke flavor and the BBQ sauce. Understandably, the prices are not cheap, so I expect my food to be warm. The location itself is really cool but also depends on the weather, not really recommended on cold days. And be careful, cash payments are no longer possible, and for all men, they only have non-alcoholic beer.

We discovered Smoke BBQ by chance and what can I say?! Absolute madness. The food, the ambience and the service were simply great. The smoker was smoking in the background and the delicious smell of smoke wafted around our noses. We had a real feel of American BBQ.
