Smoke BBQ in Düsseldorf

A beautifully rustic restaurant with friendly staff, and the food was exceptionally delicious. We'll definitely be back.

A spontaneous search yielded a fantastic result. We think: Great location and a perfect end to our day in Düsseldorf. The food was delicious. There was something for everyone.

The burger was tasty. The fries were too. The portion was okay, but a bit small. Service was quick and friendly. The dining area is unheated and only moderately cozy. The restroom was appalling. Even a carnival toilet is cleaner. The floor was covered in paper towels, and it smelled awful. When I go out to eat and pay regular restaurant prices, I don't expect porta-potty standards.

Oops, this is actually a BBQ place. The burgers were very good. Rustic but great.

Summary: It was okay overall, but unfortunately cold. We stopped in shortly after opening today. The ambiance is appealing, and since the sun came out, the temperature was pleasant. We started by ordering via the QR code. I had some trouble with this, but it was probably due to my browser (no fault of the owner). The first confusion arose when paying: the "10% tip" option was selected by default, even though we hadn't received any service up to that point. Our food arrived on a single tray and was cold. I understand that Slow Food needs to prepare things in advance, but the food still needs to be kept warm, or at least reheated. We left the coleslaw because it tasted strongly of vinegar. Overall, the visit left us disappointed. With proper service and hot food, it would be a very good place.

This was my third visit to Smoke BBQ, and I've been thoroughly satisfied every time. The ribs are simply amazing—super tender, juicy, and with that authentic smoky flavor you hardly ever find anywhere else. You can tell they put their heart and soul into it, using a real smoker. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, and the service is friendly and fast. The price is absolutely right for me. If you're looking for honest BBQ, this is definitely the place to go. I'll definitely be back!

The food was okay, but the selection was very limited. It was also cold, and we were told that the ceiling heaters weren't connected to the generator (why not just connect them then?). After a one-hour wait, we finally got our food. The burger was very good, but I think they should also offer regular burgers. There was also a long wait for additional drinks. The location was anything but nice and cozy. The real kicker, though, was turning on the heaters after all the customers had left so the staff could be nice and warm while cleaning...🫡

High Expectations - Huge Fall Unfortunately, the food was served cold for 8 people! (spare ribs and topped fries). The spare ribs were very dry, and the portions were unfortunately much too small. The price-performance ratio isn't quite right here. While the outdoor ambiance can be very nice in the summer, it's unfortunately far too unpleasant in the fall/winter.

We tried this grill because of the many positive reviews, but were unfortunately disappointed. We immediately realized that the good reviews probably stem from the fact that you get a free cookie for a 5-star review. The food itself was disappointing: The dishes were cold, the spare ribs were dry, and there was charcoal sticking to the meat. Furthermore, the portions were very small for the price. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired – our cutlery was dirty. The ambiance can be quite nice in the summer – but unfortunately, it was very cold in early October. The heaters were unfortunately not plugged in. All in all, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

As a barbecue club, we have higher expectations of what's on offer! SORRY....

I enjoyed checking this place out. The food was okay 👌🏼 But it's outside dining and already a bit colder. The food was served on a metal plate, so it was already cold. The staff was friendly 🤗 The portions could be bigger for me. I think the concept is clever.

We ordered the pulled beef, pulled pork, and Texas link, the only meats available when we arrived at 16:00. Both the pork and beef were lukewarm and lacked any smoke flavor. The texture was average, neither dry nor moist, and overall the meat tasted flat. The fries were served cold, clearly left sitting out, and the chili had a grainy consistency with bagged cheese on top. For a place called Smoke BBQ I expected the meats to be the highlight and for the smoking process to shine through. The price was fair, but I left feeling disappointed.

Nice snack bar/diner, excellent food, friendly service. Ordering is easy at the table via mobile phone or at the cash register. Excellent value for money, too—you really can't complain. We'd love to come back.

The chicken wings taste like ribs, unfortunately a bit unimaginative but still delicious. They don't stand out from the ribs but they were super tender and the fries were excellent.

Meat without BBQ flavor But tender

The decor is appropriate—not fancy, more functional. But that's not what matters when it comes to enjoying meat. Forget the "in" joints; here you'll find proper burgers, chicken wings, and brisket from true professionals.

The 80-kilometer round trip was worth it. The BBQ tasted excellent. The meat was tender and juicy. The salad was crisp. The beans were amazing, and the fries were top-notch. The service was excellent. We'll treat ourselves to this more often.

The portions were rather small for the price. There wasn't much meat on the burger, and there were few extras like vegetables or sauces on the bun. The taste was okay. I was honestly disappointed after reading these very positive reviews on Google.

Dropped in on a random Saturday evening —no reservation, no expectations—and wow, were we blown away! Ordered Ribs & Wings to-go, paid up, headed home… only to find the Wings had mysteriously vanished from the bag. Tried calling, but apparently their phone is just for decoration. Still, those Ribs? Worth every bite. We’ll be back—next time, we’re eating in and guarding our wings

The food was good but expensive for the portion size. Generally, the selection leaves a lot to be desired for the price. Service was practically nonexistent. Food is ordered via QR code, fancy but cumbersome. No waiter asks how you're feeling. Instead of raising a hand to say "water please," I take out my phone and log in to PayPal to order... Alcoholic beverages aren't served here, nor is coffee. The restrooms are a container, like at a fair. I definitely won't be going back to this place.

I ate there on Sunday, September 14, 2025, around 8 p.m., and what I experienced was something I've never seen before. We waited forever for our food. Many customers were angry—but that wasn't the problem. What was problematic was that the waiter was incredibly rude. He didn't just speak like that to us; he also treated his (completely overwhelmed) colleague like that (she was overwhelmed, but nice). What I found most offensive was his behavior toward another customer. She hadn't thanked us loudly enough, and he yelled throughout the entire store and continued to make fun of her long after she had left. Wow. I've truly never experienced anything like that before, and I don't want to know what he said when we left. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. What a shame. If it wasn't the owner, I would urgently request training or a different branch. Help!

I highly recommend it. A modern "service"; they offer cool sharing platters, and the quality and taste were excellent. Prices are fair, and the smell wafts from the moment you park. It's a cool location in an industrial park, and we'd be happy to come back if the opportunity arises. My only criticism is that they could add a short description of the dishes, as it's hard to explain everything.

Very good meat. The concept behind the restaurant is unique and charming. Unfortunately, the dining room is very cold in the winter, and despite the heaters and blankets, you're forced to wear a jacket and hat. The place will certainly be more pleasant in the warmer months. The meat is truly excellent, and the service is very prompt. Recommended in the non-winter months.

A fantastic experience. We had ribs, Texas hot link, pulled beef/pork with fries, beans, and tater tots. Incredibly delicious; the meat was truly tender. And above all, the setting gives you a real BBQ feeling. We'd love to go back!

Pretty much the opposite of what we expected or what was advertised on the website! We wanted to spend a cozy evening here, eat spare ribs, and drink a few beers. Spare ribs were sold out (already at 5:00 PM). Beer was only available non-alcoholic because they don't have a license to serve alcohol, and the atmosphere was unfortunately terrible. I can't recommend this place.

We were here on a Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.). The restaurant was easy to find, and I even found a parking space on the street. It's important to note that some meats aren't available until 6 p.m., which I didn't know beforehand. The service was very friendly and helpful, and they even explained the meats. We ordered a BBQ combo (3 meats & 2 sides) consisting of pulled beef, baby back ribs, Texas beef chili, US tater tots, and smoked BBQ beans, as well as a pulled pork burger. The portion size was a bit small, but the flavor was very good, except for the Texas beef chili, which was very salty. A little more sauce on the pulled beef would have been good. The ribs were tender but a bit dry. The ambiance fits the restaurant and its BBQ flair perfectly. I would definitely come back, but after 6 p.m. to have the full selection.

I was here for the first time today and I'm absolutely thrilled! The pulled pork burger was simply amazing – super juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the meat tender as butter. You can tell the attention to detail goes into making this place. The BBQ sauce was also exactly what I wanted – smoky, slightly sweet, and well-rounded in flavor. The place has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. A definite must-visit for BBQ fans – I'll definitely be back!

Phew... Difficult. Anyone with a passion for Texas BBQ expects flavorful and smoky meat. Neither was really the case here. The ribs and pulled pork were very dry and distinctly lacking in flavor. The cheddar chili sausages, on the other hand, were a dream and exactly what I wanted in American BBQ. I also found the restaurant concept itself very difficult. There were no cutlery or sauces on the tables, and the service seemed uncoordinated and impersonal. We liked the ambiance—a real smokehouse feeling in a convivial atmosphere—but the rest of the menu didn't quite fit the bill. The brisket was already completely sold out by 6:40 p.m. The sides were solid, but overall lacked a real taste experience.

The food was great as always, although today around 7 p.m. they ran out of coleslaw. That's never been there before!! There's no alcohol left, only non-alcoholic beer. In the spring, they said "it's closed." Now they're citing the long walk to the bathroom as the reason?? On the other hand, there was a company event, and they served different beer, and there's a bar there too! What's going on with you? We were there at 7 p.m., but unfortunately they were out of coleslaw, only non-alcoholic beer was available, and no glasses were available. Unfortunately, they also didn't accept cash payments. They should mention this on their website 😏. There was a seminar next door that had everything. We were there with eight people and were very disappointed 😞.

Great food, also great for team events, etc. You learn a lot about classic Texan BBQ. The only downside is that parking is hard to find!

Solid BBQ, but unfortunately not truly outstanding. The Texas Hot Link sausage was only lukewarm and unfortunately not spicy at all. The pulled pork was decent, but unfortunately also only lukewarm. My friend's baby back ribs were the only bright spot. Still, a relaxed evening with fast, friendly service.

Never had such a great burger in Germany! We were at the Kö festival yesterday and had a burger here. The price (menu €13.90 including fries) I think it's really good value. The burger with the buns and onions was amazing!! The meat wasn't as thin as many others and it was incredibly tasty. We'll definitely be back. The fries were a 9 out of 10, so it was a perfect match. Service was good and the staff were very friendly!

It's a cool place. The spare ribs are usually fresh from the smoker. Be sure to order a full rack! Sometimes you may have to wait a while for the next fresh ribs, but as I said, they're really fresh!
