The main courses were very good, the desserts were okay. What we liked best was the service, very attentive and friendly.

Nice ambience, good and friendly service, but the prices, the quality of the food, and the size of the portions are out of proportion.

We attended a wedding at ELMA last night, and it was a solid 10 out of 10! The service and food were so AMAZING! The ELMA team was committed to providing everyone with a wonderful wedding, and they succeeded. There was a fabulous menu, and even a great vegetarian option, "roasted cauliflower with truffle." The service was so attentive and always on hand. Not a single glass was ever empty ;). Suggestions for improvement: None! We'll be back, and you should too!

Extremely delicious potato salad with the schnitzel, which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Highly recommended. The service was also excellent! The only minor drawback: the noise level inside is quite loud due to some echoes.

We were at ELMA for the Gourmet Summer, and it was outstanding! Sometimes, you get a bit "fobbed off" with the Gourmet Summer menus, with rather small portions or dishes that fall below the level of the à la carte offerings in terms of quality and creativity. Not so at ELMA. All the courses were very good, generously portioned, and also sophisticated in their composition. Highly recommended!

Yes, yes, yes! Everything is simply good and delicious. The service is incredibly friendly, prompt, accommodating, and with a smile on their faces; you simply feel at home. Inside and out. The Wiener Schnitzel is sensational, but the other dishes shouldn't be ignored. They are just as imaginative, exciting, and delicious. Be sure to try appetizers like the Sylt bread. I was very, very satisfied with the non-alcoholic menu: great cocktails, great drinks (juices could be improved, like pear, apricot, grape, or something similar). I wasn't so impressed with the dessert, but maybe it was the wrong choice this time. Absolutely child-friendly (one free kids' meal on Mondays). It's my kids' new favorite restaurant. Parking is, of course, difficult. I haven't had to make a reservation yet; there are plenty of seats.

I ate there for the second time yesterday. It was once again exceptionally delicious. I was visiting with two vegetarians from India. They were also impressed. The service was very friendly. They also spoke English. A menu in English would be super helpful.

A truly fantastic culinary gem! The service is very prompt and pleasant. As a meat eater, the menu initially seemed rather spartan to me, so I opted for the beetroot dumplings more out of necessity than choice. And what can I say? I've never eaten anything better and will definitely be back! My friends will too. Highly recommended. Not exactly cheap, but worth every cent! Simply fantastic!

The atmosphere is rather relaxed, which is pleasant – however, there are often a lot of children around, which can be a bit distracting. The outdoor area could be nicer, but that's also due to the location and probably can't be changed. Overall, a down-to-earth restaurant with reasonable quality.

Refined, delicious food, a lovely ambiance. There's comfortable seating inside and outside. The service is always excellent and exceptionally attentive to guests. I've eaten here with friends, with families with small children, and for business – it's perfect for everyone. Highly recommended!

We visited you for my girlfriend's birthday and had indicated it was a birthday when we made the reservation. Unfortunately, there was no table prepared and no request for the reservation name, which seemed a bit impersonal. The ambiance is nice, the drinks were creative and good, but the food was disappointing. The aioli starter was solid, but the wild boar sausage with unseasoned mashed potatoes, beans, and bacon seemed uninspired, and the lamb's lettuce consisted of three roots/leaves. The beetroot dumplings were hard and dry, the raspberries in the sauce didn't go well with it; overall, the combinations weren't harmonious. As trained chefs and hotel managers, we know when a dish is worth its price, but unfortunately, this wasn't the case here. Almost €25 for the dumplings and a total of €73 for a disappointing meal is unjustified. The value for money is absolutely not right. Based on recommendations, we had expected considerably more and would have been willing to spend more for good food, but we were disappointed here. We would therefore not come back and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Truly one of my favorite restaurants! I really like the atmosphere, and the waiters were super funny and friendly every time I visited. The food is all delicious. I haven't had anything I didn't like. Absolutely fantastic! The terrace is really nice in the summer.

It was our first, but not our last, visit to ELMA 🙂 A fantastic menu, we could hardly decide...we ultimately chose the veggie spaetzle and the small schnitzel, and enjoyed the burrata as a starter. The starter was excellent, and the schnitzel with the potato and cucumber salad was also delicious. The spaetzle could have definitely used more mountain cheese, and the wines are also relatively "high-priced." But the service is warm and attentive, and we felt very comfortable. It does get a bit noisy at times due to the high ceilings, but in nice weather, the terrace is also quite inviting. Keep up the good work and see you very soon ☀️

Great food, 1-2 euros too expensive, but you know that beforehand. Service was also good, the ambiance itself was nice, but it was way too loud inside; there was definitely a lack of soundproofing.

Estábamos desde el Reino Unido y vinimos en la oportunidad con nuestra familia que estábamos visitando. El señor que trató con nosotros era muy servicial, aunque no habíamos reservado. Su inglés era excelente y su conocimiento y comprensión del menú igual. Mi esposa y yo comimos la salchicha de jabalí y puré y estaba delicioso. Entonces me di cuenta de que los pasteles en el mostrador que estaban allí cuando entramos habían sido guardados. Cuando pregunté por ellos de nuevo fue muy servicial y todos tuvimos un postre muy agradable. Bien hecho a este caballero que hizo nuestra estancia y comida tan agradable. Lamentablemente, cuando nos fuimos, se había ido, así que nunca tuvimos la oportunidad de agradecerle. Así que gracias y sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Hamburgo 🇩🇪

Here, the expectation matches the experience. Friendly staff, good, fresh food. It was a great evening. The only thing was that the mushrooms were quite expensive compared to what you got with the meal—just a note for the restaurant :)

The food was very tasty. It was easy to see that a lot of the food was freshly prepared. The only negative point in our group was that we found the portion size to be quite small and in some cases we didn't feel full (with the vegetarian - handmade wild garlic gnocchi, for example).

With four small children (divided between two sets of parents) in your luggage, you naturally cause a bit of unrest. Nevertheless, we were served very well by the service staff. The meal with the Wiener Schnitzel was great. On top of that, finally really good fries in a restaurant again. The only downer: no fried potatoes on offer. Five stars!

Discovered by chance and I'm thrilled! The veal meatballs with potato and cucumber salad were highly recommended, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was extremely attentive. For me a highlight in Hamburg - especially if you go to a musical afterwards!

Nice restaurant in Altona with a nice menu. The service was very friendly and we got a nice seat. The selection of food was good. The prices are already high for Altona. The food itself came quickly, was nicely prepared and tasted good. The homemade lemonade was ok. Thanks to the nice service, a nice atmosphere. Personally, I didn't think the price-performance ratio was quite right - but it was still ok. We paid around €52 plus tip for a small schnitzel and the large plate of pasta plus 2x homemade lemonade.

Simply a great restaurant! The cuisine is solid and convincing, the menu offers a great selection, and the wine selection in particular is excellent. The waiter was extremely friendly and competent, especially with the wine selection. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual and inviting – just the right place for a relaxing evening with good food and great wines. Not fine dining, but exactly what it wants to be: a really good pub with heart and quality. Definitely coming back!

The Elma is one of the most beautiful and delicious restaurants in Hamburg! The service is always super nice and the food is fantastic. The good and constantly changing menu is particularly suitable and delicious for vegetarians/vegans! The atmosphere in the store itself is also fantastic.

We live around the corner and we love coming here when we have enough money. We especially love the staff! The food is very tasty - a mixture of tried and tested classics (Wiener Schnitzel) and new surprises. Be sure to leave room for dessert! The lunch menu is also highly recommended.

I have been visiting Elma regularly since it opened. The food is great and it's also good to stop in just to drink. The service is unbeatable. Everyone is professional, very friendly and humorous. I always feel very comfortable.

Everything is just right in this restaurant: great ambience, great cuisine and friendly service. The menu offers a selection of many vegetarian dishes and some meat dishes. The food was perfectly seasoned. We really liked the combination of different flavors, such as blackberry and broccoli or Duroc pork and grape gel! We would definitely like to come back and can definitely recommend this restaurant in Altona.

Had a nice evening. Very nice service, great service and a very good Pinot Blanc. The food was generally good, tasted great and had interesting combinations. However, some ingredients were a little too cold and the cod was a little too dry. Little things! But I would definitely come back again!

Really a brilliant dining experience. We sat on the terrace on a Wednesday evening in late summer and had a really great evening. Nice, fast, relaxed and at the same time professional service that was always there, took care of us at all times and also asked about requests from time to time. The starter was burrata, then schnitzel and finally a chocolate cake. And all of it was incredibly good. I would particularly like to highlight the potato cucumber salad, which was a very special side dish Of course it's a little more expensive in terms of price, but that's absolutely proportionate and the quality is right 👍🏼 I'll definitely come back

We were there at lunchtime. 7 people. Unfortunately the reservation didn't work out. But luckily there was enough space. We all enjoyed it. Everyone was happy.

We ended up here on a tour of Hamburg Altona. Today's restaurant is located on a former DB site. The lunch menu is valid until 5 p.m. Our meals were very tasty. Service very attentive and friendly. Wonderful. We will stop by again.

I can't understand the enthusiasm for Wiener Schnitzel at all. We were there 3 weeks ago, the Wiener Schnitzel was the worst thing I've ever eaten. What was on the table that evening was 100% frozen food baked in the deep fryer. Orange breading without waves and bad meat. Maybe the fresh meat was out... but €30 for the piece was painful. It would have been better to say that Schnitzel is over. I was very annoyed that I hadn't said anything.

I was there for lunch, there was corn-fed chicken breast on polenta, very tasty and moderately priced. What is striking is the beautiful location in the former DB administration building. Beautiful outdoor area and a spacious interior with stylish furnishings.

The price-performance ratio is not right here at all. Selling a pasta dish as a main course that costs just more than a starter and charging just under 25 euros for it is borderline outrageous. I will never come here again!

Seit der Corona - Pandemie haben viele Restaurants Phantasiepreise eingeführt, daran habe ich mich mittlerweile gewöhnt. Aber was sich "Elma" heute geleistet hat, ist unter aller Kanone: Ein Pfifferling-Pastagericht, das von der Menge her kaum mehr als Vorspeise durchgeht (ich habe keine fünf Minuten gebraucht, es zu essen und mir dabei auch noch Zeit gelassen) für 25,- €uro anzubieten ist einfach nur frech. Dieses Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hält keinen Vergleich stand. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen!
