Ottensener Foodkitchen Altona in Hamburg

That was awful... We ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and chicken nuggets. After a good 30-minute wait, the food arrived. The chicken nuggets were classic frozen fare. Round, lukewarm, and unappetizing, they stared up from the plate. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't finish the six pressed-meat nuggets. The fries that came with the burger were a gamble. Apparently, fresh and stale fries were served together. Warm fries were followed by cold ones. They tasted okay, but a dish shouldn't leave the kitchen like that. The burger itself looked appealing at first glance. Unfortunately, the taste determines the final verdict. The texture should have been the first warning sign. The bun felt like a piece of damp Play-Doh. The taste didn't offer any revelations either. The bread was doughy, probably not fully baked. The meat was okay, but tasteless. The same, of course, applied to the tomato and onions. All the ingredients played it safe, subtly in the background; no one seemed to want to stand out. After three bites, we're done. Our instincts for self-preservation and our stomachs tell us to eat somewhere else next time. With this kind of wait and this price, we should definitely expect more.

So we traveled a bit further from Hamburg... 1 1/2 hours... The place had only opened 30 minutes ago... There were already people inside... The owner greeted us and gave us a menu... A manageable menu, definitely a plus for me... Then we ordered the chili cheese with a cheese explosion... Very impressive... And delicious. The patties were well-seasoned, the sauces were tasty... The buldak mayo is incredibly delicious... Good spiciness... The cheese fries are also very tasty, and the manyak burger... Wow... Everything convinced me... Very tasty... Friendly staff... Relaxed atmosphere... Definitely 5 stars... Until next time 🥰

The ambiance is truly fantastic for the location. The food is a definite ten out of ten. The waiter was incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and warm. He came over and chatted with us. We even discussed some minor issues, which weren't really issues at all, because the food was already top-notch. We simply shared a few ideas, and he responded with great empathy and professionalism. As a wheelchair user, you can easily get in thanks to the ramp, which is truly invaluable. The sandwich recommendation was amazing. My cousin and I were thrilled. The trip was definitely worth it. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

As always, first-class food and super friendly service from the owner himself – would gladly come again.

Unfortunately, my visit to *Ottensener FoodKitchen* was very disappointing overall. Almost everything in our order was wrong, and it didn't taste good either – only the Manyak Burger was okay. The so-called *Philly Cheese* had absolutely nothing to do with real Philly Cheese. Neither the taste nor the preparation was off. The staff seemed overwhelmed, even though our order was really simple. A big thank you to the girl who brought our food to the table; she was friendly and pleasant. However, the guys at the cash register and the grill really need to take a German course to better understand orders. And as if all that wasn't enough, I had to go straight home after eating because I got severe stomach problems and unpleasantly spicy diarrhea – or, to put it bluntly, watery stools (since they didn't speak German). In conclusion: I definitely cannot recommend this place – the service, the taste, and the quality were a complete disappointment.

Simply a 12 out of 10 more is not possible

Great place, everything is on point. The fries couldn't be better prepared. Even requests are no problem (my son isn't allowed to eat salt yet). I'd be happy to come back for another burger! The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a burger shop.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the standard burger, as I opted for the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Sadly, it was one of the worst I've ever eaten. It consisted of just tough, fried beef with two slices of cheddar cheese on sesame-seeded doner bun. There was no proper sauce with onions and cheese, nor was the meat slow-cooked or thinly sliced, as you'd expect from a true Philly Cheesesteak. The service was friendly and the tables were clean, but I definitely can't recommend the Philly Cheesesteak!

It was incredibly delicious, and the service was nice and friendly. Before getting our food, we played a quick round of Ludo and then tried the Manyak Burger. I love coming back with my friends, at least once a month now, whenever time permits.

The board games on the tables are a nice idea, but they don't really enhance the ambiance. That's the only thing that wasn't to our liking. The dishes are delicious, and the service is friendly.

A small, lovely, and cozy restaurant; the food is simply perfect. I've eaten there twice, once when it was busy and once when it was quieter. Both times, the food was freshly prepared; they definitely don't prep anything and wait for your order! The meat was very juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the fries were fresh and crispy. The price-performance ratio is absolutely spot on; for the quality, it's actually quite reasonable in my opinion. The idea of ​​the game tables, where you can also get game pieces, is also great!

This was the tenth order with you. The last four times were not okay. It is about the Manyak Burger as a menu. It always seems to depend on who is behind the grill and preparing the meat, because there were also days where everything was perfect. We will have to think about whether we order again. What's particularly impressive is that many products are made in-house and delivered fresh – this difference is immediately noticeable in the taste. My only suggestion for improvement: It would be great if products for people with lactose intolerance were offered in the future. Had a cheeseburger with sucuk cheese fries and a Coke on the menu... The fries and Coke were pretty good, but with the cheese sauce, I felt like the cheese was sitting next to the sauce rather than in it. The sucuk crumbs weren't worth the extra charge. The burger wasn't worth the €11 either. For €20, I expected more.

The best burgers! The Manyak burger is a must-try. The patty is seared to a crisp, and the toppings include fragrant sautéed onions and spicy jalapenos. It's incredibly addictive. Best of all, they also offer a starch-free Keto Brett. The service is also very friendly and excellent. 100% satisfied!

My son and I had delicious burgers, and my husband had the cheese kofte, which was also delicious. Very friendly and relaxed service. You can sit inside or outside. The restaurant was busy on this Sunday afternoon. Conclusion: Highly recommended!

Very tasty food, reasonably priced, and a 10-15 minute wait. If you don't want to get your hands dirty, you can wear disposable gloves. The tables are decorated with board games, and you can play them. Great atmosphere, but some tables are positioned in a way that exposes you to the wind, so it can be chilly in cold/windy weather. Highly recommended.

Had the double smash burger and the currywurst with fries. The smash burger was lacking so much in flavor & I wish there was the typical special sauce that goes into this type of burger. The currywurst was a bit too ketchupy and lacking in the curry flavor. It’s also a bit wild to me that they charge 50 cents for ketchup and mayo, as these are staples for this sort of experience… I had high expectations based on the reviews, but left a bit disappointed.

So glad we tried this place. The burgers were amazing including the veggie burgers and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hamburg

The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and made with great attention to detail. Every bite was a delight! We were particularly impressed by the relaxed, warm atmosphere and the superbly attentive service. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. We left home completely satisfied and will definitely be back. A true culinary highlight in Ottensen – highly recommended!

We ordered from Wolt today. Unfortunately the castles were very bad, I wonder how a burger could be so bad. The cheeseburger had no bite at all in the meat and bun, strange sauce and the taste was simply subterranean. The chicken burger is even worse. The cheapest molded meat was used for the patty. Given the many good reviews, I wonder whether the reviews are not bought

In > Ordered > Delicious Chesseburger with second paddy and fries mayo... Very cool 👍 I can't say more... It's a shame that the home of Munich is so far away.

The Manyak Burger is a hit and definitely recommended! The service is great and everyone is immediately friendly. We'd love to come back when we're back in Hamburg.

I or we like to go there to eat our burgers and eat Kumru. The atmosphere is great, the children eat and play and they are always happy. The burgers are very tasty. Children's menu is also filling. Staff are always nice and polite. I can really recommend it; my six children enjoy eating there.

Very tasty Kumru's, Classic and Beef are highly recommended. Also the seemingly homemade sweet potato fries. The normal fries are more standard. Nice service, short waiting times and stylish shop. We were there when the store opened at 2 p.m., but later on weekends you may have problems getting a space.
