Delicious food, good service. The outdoor area is fine, albeit right next to a parking lot. The interior is too small and relatively uncomfortable. But you can go there without being disappointed.

Gestern durften wir im PURS Restaurant zu Abend essen – und ohne jede Übertreibung war es eine geschmackliche Traumreise. Jeder einzelne Gang war nicht nur perfekt zubereitet, sondern auch in seiner Komposition so kreativ und überraschend, wie wir es nur selten erlebt haben. Schon der Empfang war besonders: Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und direkt durch die Küche zum Tisch geführt – eine seltene, aber umso spannendere Idee. So bekommt man gleich zu Beginn einen Einblick in das Herz des Hauses. Wer Glück mit der Sitzrichtung hat, kann auch vom Tisch aus durch eine Glastür einen Blick in die Küche werfen. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass Peter Fridén und Teile seines Küchenteams einige Gänge persönlich servierten – eine großartige Gelegenheit, die kreativen Köpfe hinter den Gerichten kennenzulernen. Ein ganz großes Lob auch an den Service! So viel Fachwissen über Speisen, Weine und deren Herkunft erlebt man nicht oft. Die Weinempfehlungen waren durchweg auf den Punkt – ein echter Beitrag zu einem rundum gelungenen Abend. Chapeau! Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Abend voller kulinarischer Höhepunkte und perfekten Services. Schade nur, dass Andernach nicht näher liegt – sonst wären wir sicher Stammgäste. P.S. Was genau müsste eigentlich noch passieren, um den zweiten Stern zu bekommen? Frage für einen Freund ;-)

The chef sometimes makes the bread himself. The pizza is also exactly to my taste: not too thick, not too thin, and not too greasy. The ingredients are fresh, and the price is more than fair. We were looking for a new Greek restaurant, as our Greek restaurant had to close due to aging. So we went online and searched. You're used to getting house ouzo at these restaurants, but not here. Not a big deal, but a shame. There are plenty of tables in the restaurant, but not many guests, so why you should make a reservation remains the question. The lady sitting there was rather unfriendly and didn't respond to a "good evening." The waiter, who also seemed to be preparing the food at the same time, was friendly. The menu was straightforward: meat and fish, salads, and appetizers. If you're looking for schnitzel or something similar, you'll go hungry. It's not available! It's a shame that my gyro was almost entirely just the hard crust, but the portion was large enough, unfortunately, with only 3-4 strips of onion. We could have probably gotten more if we asked, but since we had three other meals, all of them were enough for me. You have to order side salads in advance, and they don't come with any of the meals. Drink prices are really reasonable. The others enjoyed their food, too.
