Probably permanently closed since the beginning of September 2024.
Unfortunately no message or information was left for the guests. The restaurant was simply emptied.
Greek enjoyment with a pinch of indifference – an unforgettable experience!
An experience in a class of its own! The warm welcome (presumably from the owner himself) let us know straight away: we are not welcome here - a real insider tip for everyone who likes to be ignored.
The choice of salad for the dish? An interactive guessing game! We said what we wanted, but of course we got something completely different - surprise included. When I politely pointed out that it wasn't what I had ordered, there was a bonus charming saying: "Then next time you'll have to say how you'd like it!" – Customer service at the highest level!
The promised waiting time of 20 minutes? Oh, why such a hurry! We were able to enjoy an impressive 40 minutes while other guests (who happened to just be picking up their food) were given priority. Of course, online orders took precedence - as a normal guest you can stew in the corner for a bit.
And then the food – a feast for the taste buds! The fries looked seasoned but tasted like... air? Bifteki? A true homage to the Sahara. Souvlaki? Yes, it was okay - and that's a big compliment. The gyro? Well, there are certainly better ones in Recklinghausen, but hey, at least the portion size was “okay”.
Conclusion: If you like to be ignored, like exciting waiting times and love a little Russian roulette when ordering - definitely go! For everyone else: There are alternatives.
We were here for the first time. The food was very good, the meat was nice and tender. The portion is large. What struck us particularly positively was the high level of attention and the hospitable demeanor. We will definitely be back. Price-performance ratio is appropriate.
We were here for the first time today and were not disappointed. Everything was very tasty and appetizingly prepared. We didn't miss anything and will definitely come back again.
Very child-friendly...my niece Leni likes it with you 😀
Certainly one of the best in the area for a snack!! 🙃
✅Gyros
Well seasoned meat, but not overly seasoned
✅ Salad
fresh and visually appealing
✅ Tsatziki
Rather mild, but in sufficient quantities, which is often not the case
The portions are “huge”.
If you're very hungry, you've come to the right place 👍
We have eaten here several times. You will receive a super friendly welcome. The service and food is very good. Price - performance fits. We'd love to come back
You can't judge because this store doesn't even stick to its own opening hours.
So it's more like "if you don't come today, just load it tomorrow".
Ergo, I will never eat there due to the lack of professionalism!
The food there used to be very tasty. We went there with this expectation. The service wasn't particularly friendly. One had the impression that he HAD to work. You didn't notice any fun there.
The food, the Helena plate, was very clear. Small portion. Soggy fries baked in old fat (at least that's how they tasted) And "baked" there means warmed up half a slice of processed cheese. That doesn't work at all. The food wasn't very seasoned and we actually didn't like it.
We will no longer oppose it. Thank God we had the gourmet block, otherwise we would have been even more annoyed.
We were there today, March 21, 2025, and what can we say?
As always, the food was very good.
The lamb was tasty.
The gyro was okay.
The souvlaki was excellent, as always.
Unfortunately, the Metaxa sauce was too thin for us. It used to be nice and thick.
But the friendly waiter was happy to pass it on :)
All in all, we'd be happy to come back.
