We come here sometimes for lunch and… I believe it’s the best vegan sushi in Berlin! It’s family run and the owners are super nice. You can choose between simple rolls and more elaborate ones. I like to do a mix and my favorite is the “Kürb Cobain” roll. Will always come here when I’m craving good sushi!
I knew the shop when it was in Zschocher, opposite the Felsenkeller. The atmosphere took some getting used to back then, but the taste of the food always made up for everything. Now I've been to the new location for the second time and I'm torn. The employee obviously tried hard, but seemed overwhelmed. So we waited over an hour for a Thuringian sausage. The fries were touched with the hand that had previously been used to take cash. After I ordered, she wanted to wash up, which delayed the order enormously again. On Sunday afternoons, you could perhaps ask someone to help out. I still think the food tastes great, even if the very high price leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. We'll see how it goes next time.
Delicious food and very friendly staff. The selection is very large, so there is something for everyone. However, it is more like fast food with lower quality. The wraps are also prepared with a lot of sauce, so that you feel full.
Our order arrived in questionable form. We only got part of what we ordered and it wasn't fully prepared. The salads, explicitly ordered as "salads" and another side salad, were handed over to us unprepared. We received unwashed half heads of lettuce. You know it: at Çiğ Köfte you often get (eatable!) iceberg lettuce as a side dish. But when I order a real "salad" I don't expect half, uncut iceberg lettuce and cilantro wrapped in cling film for the price. Everything else for the “salads” was missing. A sticker on the salad also indicated that the salad was NOT ready to eat raw. We received this “salad package” unwashed 3 times. I have attached a picture.
The "vegan chicken burger" was unfortunately bland and not recommended, quite apart from the hard and apparently very old bread. The fries were at least adequate for a delivery service. The Çiğ Köfte and the lavash were edible, but the quality could not be compared to what I have otherwise received at Veganland in the Cologne area. The delivery took place in a reasonable time and the driver was friendly.
Since we ordered a few days after the opening (early afternoon), I assume there were logistical problems. Otherwise I can't understand how the whole thing came about.
