Vegang in Berlin

I ate here yesterday – very tasty. And the best part: everything was vegan. I'll be back.

There was a slightly longer wait to place the order, but it was worth the wait!

The food there is great, I really like it, however, the overall experience is ruined by the poor service. I waited about 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order and then saw that he was playing on his phone at the bar the whole time. When he came outside, he just continued doing it, and when new guests arrived, he looked annoyed at the table because he apparently had to interrupt his phone activity. No friendly smile, no manners, he even tried to take the half-eaten plate from the table of the man next to me, even though he hadn't finished eating. No "Did you enjoy your meal? Was everything alright?" Absolutely unacceptable! Welcome to 2026. Attentiveness and friendliness are key in this job (and in everything we do), so it would be nice if you taught your service staff these things.

Update 2025: I've been a big fan of Vegang. I've been frequenting the restaurant and I have often been ordering for delivery as well. BUT for their deliveries, they keep putting their soupy noodle dishes into paper containers that consistently LEAK - and as a result the food lands straight on the floor. I ordered phō multiple times, without exception ending in disaster. One time right in front of my house! It is not very pleasant to clean up food from the floor. What use of a sustainable food container if it leaks? You might as well get refunded but the courier will NOT be paid anything for the pointless delivery. Upon contacting Vegang, they haven’t even responded. So, I’m making my complaint public… What a shame about this restaurant, great kitchen but they need to do something about this issue. Until then: don't order the pho or bun bo hue for delivery! Or better skip this restaurant entirely..

Yesterday I visited the Vegang restaurant. I rarely write reviews, but this restaurant impressed me so much that I absolutely had to share my experience. I recently switched to a vegan diet and, to be honest, was a little skeptical about whether the food could actually be delicious. But this restaurant completely changed my perception of vegan cuisine. The restaurant is very clean and cozy, the atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and there were candles on the tables, which created a particularly lovely ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes were served very quickly, and everything was incredibly delicious. The portions are generous – I left completely full and satisfied. I was especially pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of dishes – there really is something for everyone. Now I know that vegan cuisine can be not only healthy but also truly delicious. I will definitely be back many times and will gladly recommend the restaurant to all my friends. Thank you for this wonderful restaurant – it's my new discovery and, without exaggeration, my new love.

The place is very nice and well-decorated. Unfortunately, the food isn't up to par: it's mediocre and rather bland. After ordering, the dishes arrived very quickly, giving the impression that they were already prepared. There's definitely room for improvement.

A restaurant with an exclusively vegan menu. We weren't very hungry, so we simply ordered five different appetizers (Tempur shrimp, seitan duck, soy chicken, salmon sashimi, and eggplant) and two desserts (caramel flan and black sticky rice dessert) and enjoyed them. The homemade lemonade was excellent. Friendly and helpful service. We'd gladly come back.

Great food. Very tasty and large portions. Friendly service too. They also have a lunch menu with daily specials for around €10. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys delicious food. The marinated soy chunks taste very much like real chicken, but a very tasty version of real chicken.

Fantastic restaurant with a very varied and well-crafted menu – it was a real treat! The main courses were very generous!! 😊 The only downside was that the door was impossible to open and no one came to help us. We felt like we were bothering them by asking for menus in English…perhaps they had bad experiences with foreign tourists in the past? I highly recommend it!

The food was tasty, but unnecessarily sweet. The tap water tasted as if no one had let it run before serving, like it came straight from a stagnant pipe.

Absolutely delicious, my goodness! We were so full – great drinks, appetizers, and main courses (unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert). Our waiter was a bit curt, but the rest of the staff seemed friendly.

A fantastic selection of vegan dishes. The udon noodles were amazing and the vegan "duck" was delicious. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere pleasant. Highly recommended. We were pleasantly surprised to get a table for two on a Saturday evening without a reservation.

I had the "Udon Know Me", the veggies were fresh, great sauce, and everything tasted delicious. Secret tip (they told us): apparently "Austernsauce" is the same as "Teriyaki Sauce".

The menu says you can pay with a card from 10 euros. I go to pay and he says I must spend 12 euros to pay with a card. So yeah. The food was ok. Nothing special. Looked better than it tasted.

I stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday with a good friend. Nicely decorated with a pleasant color scheme. The staff were very friendly, and the homemade lemonades and food arrived promptly. All the dishes and the homemade lemonades were delicious. This definitely won't be our last visit, and I highly recommend this restaurant. 👍🏻

One of my few times at a completely vegan restaurant. It was delicious; I definitely recommend the dishes with peanut sauce. We placed a large order, and the food arrived in about 15 minutes.

Food was really great! But the service was lacking.. we were there early in the evening and it wasn't busy yet. Still, the server didn't even say hello and basically threw the menus on our table. He continued to forget stuff we asked for and in the end pressured my friend to give a tip. On top of that I checked my account and they charged me twice - I tried contacting them to get my money back but that didn't work...

Post-Berlin Marathon dinner. My partner surprised me by taking me to this little Vietnamese vegan restaurant. I was really impressed with the size of the dish. I'm not a big eater, but I needed a digestible and varied carb load. I had a delicious home-made curry. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the service was very fast. They also had a very cold 0.0% alcohol-free beer! Recommended! The location was also great! 🙌🏻🫶🏻

There are many vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin these days, but this one really stands out. The Udon know me and Lil bao wow are super delicious :)

We spontaneously passed by this wonderful restaurant. Both the staff and the food were excellent. We opted for the bao buns and the baked eggplant. We'll be back!

Very good vegan restaurant with a wide selection of dishes.

The food is truly delicious, fresh, and creative! It's actually the perfect place to enjoy the taste of Peking duck without having to sacrifice a single duck (this dish is a must-try if you're there!). Unfortunately, the place has gotten really dirty these days. The glasses weren't clean and smelled of old sewage. The "still water" for just under €5 was tap water. Next to our table, the bar was being cleaned with chlorine, floor rags were being wrung out, and the altar was being filled with new incense sticks. None of this has anything to do with the food itself, but it seriously spoils the overall experience.

My friend and I went to this restaurant intrigued by various posts and reviews we had read about this place. Even though it was 1 p.m., the place was almost empty and the waiter seemed annoyed by us. My friend then went to the toilet inside and the waiter (who was sitting at the tables outside) shouted at her as he saw her go inside the restaurant and with a very brusque gesture pointed her where to go. It was really rude!! Despite the bad service, the food was good and tasty and the food arrived very quickly.

I love Vegang because it uses my absolute favorite sauce: oyster sauce. The food is super deliciously seasoned, although it lacked a few little extras. For example, the cilantro on the salad. But otherwise, it's simply delicious and highly recommended! The next time we visited, a few months later, the food was delicious and wonderfully seasoned. We were all very satisfied. Vegang is simply fantastic.

We had the scallop medallions and the squid rings for starters, and for main courses, we had Duckin' Good with curry sauce, Hack Me (but with duck instead of minced meat), and Udon Know Me. The dishes were divine. The duck is so, so good, and everything is simply well-rounded and perfectly seasoned. The next day, we tried the lunch special M3 (duck with udon noodles and peanut sauce), which was also delicious and, at less than €10, unbeatable. Overall, the prices are more than reasonable for the large portions, the amount of delicious ingredients, and, above all, the taste. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We can wholeheartedly recommend Vegang and would love to eat there every day!

A very beautifully designed restaurant, and I really like the concept. There are a few tables on the street, and Kantstraße is the perfect area for them. The food was ready quickly and tasted good. The vegetarian chicken substitute was very good. However, for the price, it could have included a bit more. There wasn't much rice, and I wanted more. Very friendly staff. I'd be happy to come back.

A large selection of vegan dishes. The atmosphere seemed rather cool and not particularly cozy. The price-performance ratio is okay.

A truly cute shop with great food! We went there for lunch and tried one of the lunch deals each – quick, delicious, and absolutely fair prices. Everything is vegan and freshly prepared. We had a peanut curry and a rice noodle salad with chili vinaigrette, both of which were excellently seasoned. The location is also a plus; it's very central, and we were able to sit outside in the sun. However, if you're sensitive to noise, be aware that Kantstrasse is quite noisy and there are lots of people walking by – in that case, it's better to sit inside. Still, a definite recommendation!

Vegang delivers one of the most delicious vegan menus in Berlin. Even after five years, I keep coming back — which says a lot about their consistent quality. It all starts with a creative list of mocktails (I prefer non-alcoholic drinks, and they have some really fun ones!) and continues with flavorful appetizers and excellent entrées. I’ve never gotten bored with their food and always look forward to my next visit!

Wow, just super tasty and a funny menu. The dishes are all well seasoned and so far everything I've tried has been very good. The lunch dish is great - in this corner of Charlottenburg it's really cheap at less than 10 euros. Always happy to come back. The window seats could be a little less drafty and more comfortable, as a suggestion for improvement. Otherwise great

A good shop to show Leiten how diverse a vegan menu can be. Nobody has to make compromises here. The portions are large and taste very good! Try the vegan Vietnamese coffee. Is a vegan rarity :)

Food is quite good and service is ok. We waited a while before we could order and it was a bit noisy, but otherwise fine. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant in particular, but I would definitely go again if I'm in the area

Great vegan Vietnamese with an original menu. Everything tastes great! There were five of us - all the starters were great and everyone was also enthusiastic about the main courses. In addition to the taste, the texture is fascinating - scallops, salmon, duck and chicken are deceptively real. But that is ultimately irrelevant compared to the other topics. The service was super nice and very quick. Only decoration and in our case the room temperature could be better ;-)

Ordered sweet potato fries, edamame, and vegetable dumplings (3 per portion), comes along with some salad. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as good—I tried the lychee drink, which was refreshing. For dessert, the black sticky rice with mango coconut cream was a standout—highly recommend! A must-visit spot!”

One of my favorite restaurants as a non-vegan! The food is very well made and the meat alternatives are very good and convincing. The shop was recommended to me a few years ago by an acquaintance who is also not vegan. Since then I have been coming here regularly and trying out the menu. My fav: Udon Know Me and all homemade iced teas.
