Vöner in Berlin

Really very tasty food that is hearty but exceptionally good in taste and quality. The restaurant itself isn't that eye-catching, it could use some renovation, which is why it's not that inviting to sit inside for a long time, it smells a lot of frying fat, the service is perfectly fine but not exceptional

Feel free to look for delicious alternatives without meat. In terms of taste, it doesn't compare to a steak kebab. For a rotisserie kebab at any time 😃 Very tasty, I'll be back, also because of the great selection of sauces.

Definitely a must for me when I'm in the area! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is alternative, as are the lovely people who smile and provide you with food. Payment is only made in cash (!) and before what is ordered is prepared. Some things (e.g. brownies and drinks) are then simply self-service. My two (usually picky) kids are also thrilled with the homemade fries and the Vöner and finally wanted to buy a Vöner pin (1€) to promote the Vöner snack bar at school. Let's see whether word of mouth actually makes it successfully into Steglitz schools. In any case, I would really appreciate it if there was a branch in the west of the city - even if I would then probably become chubby and dirt poor... 🤤 Addendum: I was there again recently and ate my fill... and then discovered a vegan ice cream parlor across the street while rolling home. Dessert is always possible, right? Definitely recommended! The total taste explosion! #GreenScoopVegan 😘

We just ate at Vöner, and we were not disappointed. I had a delicious Vöner kebab with plenty of filling and a delicious sauce. The bread was warm and nice and crispy. A real treat and definitely recommended. My colleagues also had a kebab and a dürüm and were also very satisfied, and we were all full.

It's sometimes a problem with the staff, but we still like to stop by every leap year, it's definitely a black pearl of the store.

Good Vöner and nice team but unfortunately only cash payment

Had the classic Döner. Honestly pretty disappointing, it looked more like a sandwich (bread, salad, cucumber, onion and tomato) with seitan meat and some sauce rather than an actual Döner. The sauce Tahini Garlic is so mild and liquid. The seitan disappointed me as well, somehow it doesn't go so well with the bread, maybe the seasoning was just not right or not like how they normally season Döner meat. So overall a lackluster meal for 8 euros! Not trying to be offensive because I am a vegetarian and hardcore fan of vegetarian Döner and falafel stuff. But you will enjoy a falafel bröt more than this. I hope they will improve the recipe!!!

We ordered a vegan kebab and both loved it. The shop has a certain flair, and the staff were friendly.

Very tasty, very sweet snack and everything is vegan. Cash only Edit: The service has deteriorated significantly; at peak times you often wait for over 30 minutes, although there is no real rush 2nd edit: Portions (except the Vöner) have become so small that it can only be an appetizer at most. A truly pleasant experience! The staff were extremely welcoming and kind, making me feel at ease straight away. The vegan kebab was delicious, full of flavor and carefully prepared. A place that I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for good food and a warm and friendly atmosphere!

The kebab, currywurst and fries are delicious. You don't necessarily notice that it's vegan. Tasty, but the flavors are a bit weak, unexciting. Big portions and nice staff! Can recommend it. Especially if you are vegan.

Never experienced such unfriendly service. I can really understand that you are drained and tired in the evening, but nobody deserves such unfriendly service. There is no effort being made to be somewhat friendly. We first had to get a brief overview of the dishes. Then ordered in a completely normal tone with please and thank you. The waitress only answers succinctly, boredly and in short words. She was too good even for complete sentences. Someone like that doesn't belong in the restaurant industry. It was a lady with pink hair. You should consider whether she is in the right place for this job. The kebab is absolutely nothing special, there are certainly better options elsewhere. But it's still fresh and edible. We come from MV and don't have such a large selection of Vöner here and yet I've eaten much better here. In Berlin, this Vöner with the bad service and only okay taste actually no longer has any right.

Nice place and very nice service ... but this is just the worst (Curry) Wurst and pommes I have ever eaten. Can't speak for the rest of the food but that was just "unter aller Sau"

Great, without animal suffering

As a Hamburg resident who often visits Berlin, I came across this shop while looking for a vegan kebab. What can I say? Great store with super friendly staff. Not arrogant, not cocky, super authentic and also queer-friendly (I can say from experience that this is not the case everywhere)! And the vegan kebab? Hands down the best I've ever eaten. And I ate a few, including in Berlin. Oh yes, they don't accept cards here, which is actually normal in Berlin if you don't eat out at any fast food chains or incredibly expensive restaurants. I would therefore generally advise everyone to always have cash with them in Berlin. I will definitely come back.

When I'm in Berlin it's a must go there for me. It's something different than the typical vegetarian kebab you know. Simply tastes good and super nice staff!

The meal today made me really happy.🥲 a bit sad because unfortunately we live so far away and won't be able to enjoy it in the future. The Wagenburger Spezial was my favorite but also the Vöner, the Currywurst fries and the crunchy Burger Burger were simply delicious 🥰 it was a celebration for me 🙌🏻

Place specializing in self-produced kebabs served in the classic roll, sandwich or plate format. Excellent choice of fresh vegetables and sauces, I would recommend a proportionally greater quantity of kebab inside the sandwiches and an extra boost to the yogurt sauce. Service a little cold.

Best vegetarian kebab in Friedrichshain, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff!! The only downside: the clothes and hair smell really bad after the visit... maybe they could improve it with good ventilation or air conditioning...

the Vöner tasted terribly. go somewhere else and just get some halloumi or falafel and you‘ll be way better off

This was my first time in Vöner (I came from Budapest) and I was satisfied! Really kind staff, the dürüm was huge (I could eat the half of it), filled with well-spiced "kebab" and lot of veggies. I forgot to mention them that I would like to skip the onion - next time. :)

It looks better than it tastes. The "burger" is not a burger but simply a flatbread. I have no idea what the Vöner is supposed to be. The fries are more like salt fries than salted fries and are almost inedible. Added to this are the absolutely ungodly prices, esp. A. compared to the older prices shown on Google and the room temperature is at least 40°.

The ambience is rather mediocre, but the food is very good! The Vöner plate and the Dürüm with herb or tahine garlic sauce are particularly delicious. The fries special weren't quite my taste, but ideal for anyone who likes spicy fries with toppings. :-)

Very cool shop! The peanut sauce on the Vöner is very tasty and the staff is always very mousey. Only the price is a little more expensive, but you should find the store and support it. That's why it's totally ok!

It’s been my third or fourth time, and every time I enjoy it, vöner plate. I must admit that this time the food served on the plate was not enough, I left the place hungry. it would also be nice to have the used dishes removed from its stand more often. So amount could be more generous, the rest is very good.

I've really enjoyed eating at your place for years, but I'm really shocked by the current prices. 😢 To be honest, I would still be willing to pay "that much" if I didn't have to wait at least 20 minutes every time (when there is usually little traffic). And 1 euro extra for peanut sauce is somehow too heavy given the price structure. Long story short: tasty but slow, which makes the price-performance ratio seem worse in my opinion. Still leave love there ♥️

Very nice place, great taste and you felt really comfortable. Great sauces and the fries were awesome! The next time I want a kebab, I'll happily take the train again for 6 hours. Conclusion: the best vegan kebab I've ever had!

Super tasty Vöner. I come from the south of Germany and this was my first kebab in Berlin. I was very impressed, the sauce was super tasty and the meat fit in perfectly. The staff was also super nice and the food was ready quickly. If you're looking for something that's extremely close to meat, you've come to the wrong place. I think the vegan alternative has something completely new about it. It's worth trying the Vöner once. Prices are average for a kebab.

Since one of my companions (an older man) didn't want to eat a vegan kebab or anything at all there, he wasn't allowed to sit at the table with us inside. Of course we were not told this until after we had paid others. That was really disrespectful!!! Answer to answer: it was with you. Point. And it's nice that you know where I was :DD I didn't know you had my memories. I've been to all the stores I've reviewed. Otherwise I wouldn't have mine everywhere!!! personal!!! Add experience, but only give star reviews. If you can't handle reviews, you shouldn't treat customers or companions like that. Maybe YOU are bored at work if you can answer so stupidly. Looking at your other responses to “bad” or HONEST reviews, it’s clear that you think there couldn’t have been anything negative about you. Damn, all the “bad” reviewers were in other stores. Get your ego down a lot! And then publicly naming other countries when there is negative criticism ABOUT YOU is really below the belt.

We had dinner there on Friday evening and were/are thrilled. These special fries are absolutely amazing. The kebab Dürüm and the pizza bag were also so delicious. I would say it is the tastiest vegan kebab in Berlin

In summer you can sit outside well. Unfortunately, the taste of the kebab was not good. The (seitan?) meat tastes like the first vegan product 10 years ago - you can buy delicious substitute products in every discount store these days. The fries themselves were very good, but the homemade “natural” ketchup was inedible. Better to doendoen for the next vegan kebab. If you want other vegan fast food, Yoyo Foodworld is also much better.

Great vegan döner, which used to be priced competitively with meat döners, but unfortunately after the recent price hikes to a whopping 7,90€, It’s no longer the great value this place used to deliver.

Super friendly staff and the food was quick, fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the location is a bit small, but the operators can't do anything about that. A big plus point for your commitment to animal/nature conservation and against right-wing ideas. Gladly again at any time!

I've always dreamed of seeing a vegan kebab that is freshly cut. This is the right place! Friendly and helpful staff. Kebab sandwich really good and delicious. I also recommend the cheese sauce. Few tables both inside and outside, but they free up quickly without too much waiting. Advise.

Three stars are quite okay. (According to the google description) Unfortunately that's true for me. Nothing really blows me away. Tested several times and with integrity over the years. We won't be friends. It's all about the food. People and everything else is great! Just try it out and decide for yourself.

Slow and very unfriendly and demotivated staff, typical Berlin grumpiness. Music was a bit loud. Food was good. Edit to the response: yes it could be. But that was the case for every other food place and coffee place and yet other people manage to remain friendly. I'm fine with slow, unfriendly is not ok. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Simply great concept and the best kebab I've ever eaten. He does Berlin a credit. The ambience was also great, you could sit outside and relax and it wasn't great and the owner was really friendly.

Vöner "meat" istelf was quite strongly seasoned and all of us had a bit of a stomach ache afterwards because it was so heavy. But taste-wise it was very nice. I would recommend choosing two sauces, otherwise it might be a bit dry.

I had the Voner Teller and it was delicious !! The staff is really nice. It is a cash only restaurant but there’s an ATM in front of it. Highly recommend !

Ordered the teller: fries are cold, very little meat, disappointing salad, in general just a disappointing teller for this amount of money. Was more sauce than food. Wouldn’t recommend. If you like to eat sauce, instead of vöner, you should go here.

bit of a disappointment. i love that it's a fully vegan place, but the vöner plate looked just... sad. it tasted good; still, i wish i went for a classic sandwich or a wrap instead. the fries were amazing, but that is not enough to make me want to come back. for that price, you can get a much better veggie döner elsewhere.

I was there in 2014 and I returned again on my trip to Berlin in 2024 so that my daughter could try it. It is very exciting to be able to eat such a delicious Döner and the potatoes are very good too.

It is sometimes very difficult to find vegetarian and vegan food that is, above all, affordable. At Vöner there was a large selection for a fair price. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly.

You can make delicious food. would recommend the kebab, dürum, fries with peanut sauce and the currywurst :) the vegan ayran didn't really meet my expectations.

I've tried many vegan kebabs, but this one wasn't really my cup of tea. The bread and the salad/vegetables as well as the sauce were very tasty, but the "meat" disappointed me. It didn't taste like anything and had a crumbly consistency. I also had fries that were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Could only eat a few :( Also only cash payment.

The vegan Dürüm was super tasty, especially the sauce was fantastic. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash there, which is a bit inconvenient. Still, I will definitely come back because the food was so good. We recommend!

Vöner had this club at Rock im Park. It was just a shame. A Vöner should contain a vegetarian kebab meat alternative and not 2-3 cucumber slices, 2 tomato slices, a bit of lettuce with sauce and that's it, for a whopping €9.80!! I've never experienced anything so bold and I've already had a few people in my life.

Unreal. So much food for our cheapest meal in Berlin. Everything was delicious! Add the cheesy, fried onion chips to your order for sure. We had kebabs with yoghurt sauce. It's small but easy to get table and all friendly and kind staff.

Vöner in Berlin Friedrichshain: Vegan culinary delights During my recent visit to Vöner in Berlin Friedrichshain, I was completely amazed by their delicious vegan offerings. The dish was beautifully presented, with golden fries that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, seasoned to perfection. The vegan patty was juicy and flavorful, and the fresh salad on the side was crisp and refreshing. Every bite was a testament to their quality ingredients and masterful preparation. The accompanying sauce gave the entire dish an exquisite touch. I would particularly recommend the vegan mayo, which goes perfectly with the fries. I have also been enthusiastic about the vegan Dürüms in the past and can also highly recommend them! Advantages: vegan mayo, friendly and relaxed employees Disadvantages: the waiting time, but you're happy to wait ;-)

I am absolutely thrilled with the taste and versatility. The Vöner is easy to eat and offers an excellent experience for both beginners and experienced hand makers. Ordering the Vöner was uncomplicated and the instructions were clear and understandable. Already with the first bite, the Vöner showed its impressive performance. The weld seams were smooth and even, and the Vöner tasted reliable throughout. Particularly noteworthy is the robust construction of the Vöner. The device feels good and can withstand intensive use. The Vöner's temperature control is precise and allows flexible adjustment to different ingredients and requirements. All in all, I can recommend the Vöner to anyone who is looking for a reliable lekka SchmackoVatz. The Vöner meets all expectations and offers excellent value for money. Anyone who chooses the Vöner invests in a high-quality and long-lasting Vutter.

This was the last kebab of my trip in Germany so I had high expectations ;) totally worth it. For the cheap price you get a huge and delicious kebab, you get to seat comfortably either inside or outside and admire all the people in this neighborhood with punk style, tattoos and piercings. Berlin vibes. Also, go to their toilets (which are by the way super clean) and admire the typical Berlin stickers overload :)

Vöner offers donner kebaps made with seitan and other veggie options, it's a really cool place as the food is great and the vibe of the place is very friendly, punkish and relaxed, I use to go every week when I worked close by but nowadays I cycle 30 minutes to get some because it's vöner platter mit Soja Kräuter It's SO good.
