Extremely tasty, quick service and ambience - BLOCK HOUSE.

We made a reservation in advance. We arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time to find a huge line outside the restaurant. Surely they didn't make a reservation and were hoping to snag a table? Wrong. Everyone seemed to have a reservation. The restaurant was completely overbooked. After waiting outside for 45 minutes, we were finally invited in. The three of us were given a table for 1-2 people. We were then placed next to another group to create even more space in the cramped and completely darkened restaurant. The chairs, by the way, were uncomfortable folding chairs. It was incredibly loud, and the service staff was overwhelmed. No wonder, with so many guests in such a small space. The menu is relatively inexpensive. The food is okay. However, I would rather pay €10 more per person in a pleasant atmosphere with trained and friendly staff. When we told the owner on the way out that we were dissatisfied, he became violent and loud. We heard from other guests that this is apparently how things always go here.

It couldn't be better; everything is just right here. Thank you for our stay, the excellent food, and the very, very friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

Very nice staff and very tasty food. The lava cake was the perfect rounding off to go home more than satisfied.

Matjes with fried potatoes: very greasy overall. Cheese schnitzel: probably a convenience store. The taste was rather low-end. The location of the restaurant is fantastic, though. Service was okay.
