We were there last night. An absolute disaster. The waiters were unfriendly, and the food was cold. I wanted to order soup, but they didn't have any. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel. It wasn't even close to being good. It was a frozen schnitzel, and the fried potatoes were cold and unappetizing. The rump steak and potatoes were also cold. The people at the next table were also very disappointed with their schnitzels and didn't even have to pay for them (which is a good thing). When it came time to pay, the unfriendly waiter canceled my order. As we were leaving, the next table was discussing the terrible food. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

There was no soup, no salad (at least none arrived after asking three times), no cake, no ice cream, no mulled wine, and no cocktails. Basically, half the menu was unavailable. The whole time, we had the feeling we weren't welcome.

Most items were unavailable to order: soups, cocktails, ice cream/cakes, and even a few other drinks. Furthermore, the waiter was rather vague about this.

The portion was rather small, therefore the price-performance ratio isn't quite okay.

The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended, even though the decor is quite rustic.

The three of us stopped here. Upon entering, we were told we could choose our own table. Our order was taken quickly, and the drinks arrived promptly. Our food order—two Jägerschnitzel with fries (€15.90) ​​and one fish and chips—arrived promptly. The fish and chips were okay, but the schnitzels were unfortunately deep-fried, not pan-fried. The Jäger sauce was a bit stingy, and the portion of fries was rather small. To fill up, we later ate some Schmalzkuchen (a type of fried dough) at the cathedral. In conclusion: The service was neutrally acceptable—not particularly friendly, but not unfriendly either. The food wasn't bad, but €15.90 for a deep-fried schnitzel with a small portion is really overpriced. €4.50 for a small Coke or Fanta is practically outrageous. We wouldn't stop here again.

The food was delicious. We had nice tablemates. I'd gladly come again on my next visit to Hamburg.

Very disappointing. We were seated at an uncomfortable table by the door. We ordered two rump steaks, one small and one large, with fried potatoes, and two small beers. The service was friendly and quick. However, the food was a disaster. We ordered medium and it arrived bloody. Furthermore, there was no difference in portion size. The meat was bland and without butter, and the potatoes were very greasy. No vegetables or salad were included. We only received herb butter after asking for it. The bill was a shock. Almost €70 for this disappointment. We had to pay extra for the herb butter, which we weren't informed about beforehand. Card payment wasn't accepted either. The portions were so small that we were still hungry afterward. Not recommended.

Unfortunately, the food was cold for all eight people in our group. The fries, the meat, and the baked potato were all lukewarm to cold. This was especially odd with the potato, which is usually piping hot. When the staff asked if everything was alright, we pointed out the problems. The waitstaff then left without a word. Furthermore, all the plates were smeared around the edges with things that weren't on the plates themselves. All in all, a very unpleasant experience that wasn't worth the money.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. After ordering the lamb loin, the waiter returned to the table after 10 minutes with bad news: they were out of lamb. Okay. Then I ordered the pepper steak. The steak was fine. The fries were absolutely cold. The baked potato was practically unrecognizable. When the waiter asked if everything was alright, I replied that the fries were cold. The waiter grimaced and went to the next table. Not recommended.

The food was really nothing special. We had a relatively dry burger. The service was also mediocre, with long waits and not particularly friendly staff; you don't really feel welcome.

We were there today; the food was perfectly fine and the prices were reasonable for the Reeperbahn. The service was super friendly and attentive.

Everything was just great, very beautiful and it has that old-school charm. Staff is on time and very friendly. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the restaurant is perfect for both small and large groups. We had the salmon steak, and it was excellent.

I ordered the steak plate there yesterday. In the end, I got four small "cubes" of meat, which were tough, and the baked potato was lukewarm at best. The rump steak I ordered wasn't a rump steak and was cooked to varying degrees. That's unacceptable! But it doesn't seem to bother any of the waiters when the plates are barely touched. Never again!

The food was very good, the ambiance and service top-notch. Really delicious and, above all, fast. Thank you, I highly recommend it.

Seems to be popular with locals but as a tourist, I felt overcharged and the waiter ASKED for a tip , despite poor service

The staff was friendly. Getting a table on short notice without a reservation wasn't a problem. The salad was heavy on onions. The baked potatoes were too mushy. The garlic bread had no garlic at all.

Friendly staff, fast service. The finest fillet steak, super delicious. Absolutely excellent value for money.

The waiter is really friendly to the customers. The food tastes very good. The waiter even offered me a free shot of schnapps, which I thought was nice. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended. It's extremely clean; you don't see such attention to cleanliness everywhere.

There were four of us here. The fries were a disaster, served with a slight fishy flavor. The waiter favored local customers and complained that he had to climb the stairs again because someone else wanted mayonnaise with the lousy fries. The steak was ordered medium, but it was cooked in several different ways. Lackluster. But many guests probably only come here once, so it's okay.

We ordered our steak medium and got it English. The portions were much too small for the price.

Me and my partner went to this place, and I can say it was very beautifu. From food to service. Interior is very authentic and nice. I look forword to visit it again when we come to Hamburg.

We would have loved to eat there, but we didn't want to be seated at a kids' table in a nearly empty restaurant, so we were promptly escorted out.

I had the steakhouse plate, my wife had the beef skewer, and my companion had the hunter's schnitzel. The price/performance ratio was absolutely not right. My meat was tough, the garlic bread was too dry, and it was generally very loud. The meat skewer didn't come with a skewer, and the hunter's schnitzel was so-so. The sauce was sticky and almost devoid of mushrooms. We won't be having it again 😞

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant at all. The waiter was nice, but when it came to the bill, he ripped us off quite a bit, charging us for the missing food anyway. There wasn't a detailed receipt to show this, just one with the total amount. The food itself was partly cold. The advertised creamed mushroom sauce contained exactly two half mushrooms and was definitely a convenience product. All in all, I definitely don't recommend this restaurant!

What a terrible place, rude staff who make you wait until you drop, finally after ordering your food because it is not food at all, you get a schnitzel the size of a tree leaf with sauce so thick and lukewarm with 1 mushroom and if you then want to pay by card they become insulting and rude, maybe it would be wise to just close the shop if you don't feel like it anymore

Absolute disaster!!! Over 1:15 hours of waiting for the food, which was still cold. Poorly presented plates, service overwhelmed by the size of the restaurant! No organization at the restaurant! Don't go here!!!

We were here today, October 3, 2025, and it was our first and last time. Totally overwhelmed, food was cold, and mine was simply forgotten. Never again.

We ordered and didn't get any baked potatoes; they were out. Instead, we got fries without asking. Later, we were given baked potatoes for other guests. The fries, as well as the meat, were cold. We complained, and it took a long time for something new to arrive. The side salad didn't come at all. The service didn't seem to care that it wasn't right. The interior was very cold because the door was open for the waiter, who also had to serve outside.

Horrible. We made a reservation at 8 p.m., were let in at 8:45 p.m., were served at 9:45 p.m., the dishes weren't even the right ones, and the sauce was overpriced. No smiles, not even from the owner's staff. Payment is only in cash, as luck would have it... They only give us small change to get rid of it, and they allow themselves to round up without even asking. No gesture from them, even after making us wait outside for an hour. They push us to get kicked out as if we were annoying them. Even though we booked for 20. Disastrous. I really don't recommend it.

It's rare that I take up my pen to dissect such a distressing experience, but this is an exception. This restaurant stands out, not for the quality of its service or the excellence of its cuisine, but for its artful sense of disorganization and disrespect. We were a group of twenty guests, reserved and punctual. Upon our arrival, there was no anticipation, no preparation: an interminable hour of waiting, not through bad luck but through obvious incompetence. During this time, radio silence. Not a word of apology, not a complimentary drink, not even the shadow of a goodwill gesture. A bureaucratic coldness worthy of a Kafkaesque administration, but without the charm of literature. As for the prices, they are justified neither by the service, nor by the quality, nor by the atmosphere. It's a dry, mechanical calculation, where the customer's profitability is squeezed to the bone. Here, everything is done "on the fly," as if the goal were to maximize margins by minimizing hospitality. This has less to do with catering than with economic predation. The experience, to put it bluntly, was unpleasant. A caricature of customer service: slowness, a total lack of consideration, a tense atmosphere.

We had a reservation for 20 people at 8 p.m. The result: no free tables and an hour of waiting outside even though it was below 10°C. The owner grabbed my arm and even pulled me when I moved two meters from the terrace, as if I were stealing their microwave, since it's apparently very useful for cooking their steaks. As for hospitality, we'll pass. As for the meal, it's the same logic: steak advertised with a baked potato but served with fries. You can sense the attention to detail. The prices, however, haven't been replaced with something more reasonable. When it came time to pay, it reached new heights: card rejection even though a terminal was sitting behind the bar, prices rounded up due to "no change," and, as luck would have it, no receipt. And a server annoyed because we wanted to pay separately—clearly, the customer is a nuisance. An experience where the only ingredient that is not missing is contempt, served at will with our disappointment.

I wanted to have a nice meal with my girlfriend before a concert. Well, I missed the mark. I ordered the meat medium-rare, and it was cooked to various degrees, from rare to stale. The baked potato was okay, it's just a potato. The fried potatoes I ordered with it arrived very, very late. My girlfriend's glass had lipstick marks on it. When I complained, they just asked, "How dirty?" They replaced it without apology, and ended up charging me €2 more than the menu says. Anyone who likes good food and enjoys going to a steakhouse won't get what they expected.

Nice find the Lamb dish was excellent and I really enjoyed the place.

The schnitzel salad was a perfect start, light and crispy. The ribeye steak was grilled just right, and the baked potato with sour cream was a fantastic side. Great food!

We had dinner. The food was good, but really very expensive compared to the quantity we had. We had a small soup with just one slice of bread. The waiter, we had to call him kindly several times before arriving to us, even if there were not so many people in the restaurant. During the payment he asked for tips, a lot of tips, even though the experience was not so good. Never again.

A total disappointment, unworthy of a steakhouse! The food tasted like a bad snack bar (e.g., grilled salmon dripping with grease). The plates were poorly presented. The staff were short-tempered and rude. The mood finally changed when we tried to pay for our meal with a card rather than cash. Apparently, this wasn't possible due to the poor Wi-Fi. They made us wait. That was the icing on the cake and the reason for writing this review. We were finally able to pay by card. We were a group of four women.

Lovely restaurant at the heart of the busy hustle of Hamburg. Had curry wurst here which was really nice and generous portion.

Sorry guys, we had a reservation. 7 people were seated right next to the kitchen. It was nice to have waiters walking by as they brought their plates into the kitchen. My meal was a disaster. The salmon steak was full of bones. You couldn't eat the salmon, firstly because it was full of bones and secondly there was only a baked potato with sour cream and half a garlic bread. My friends had steak with exactly the same baked potato and sour cream. The steaks were like rubber, the knife couldn't even cut the steak... All in all. I personally cannot and will not recommend this restaurant. There are better restaurants for that. 7 people with a drink, 240 euros for so little, no thanks, not again, look at the photos, it's not inviting, poorly presented, just mass processing. The Burgers 😞 no Broiche roll nicely toasted in butter, here you get standard sesame Burger rolls.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food was unfortunately not at all tasty – bland and poorly prepared. The portions were tiny, disproportionate to the high price. For the money, I would have expected significantly better quality and more filling food. Overall, it wasn't worth the money or time – definitely not a recommendation.

Definitely not recommended. I ordered fish and chips, and the waiter brought "chicken nuggets." He then pointed out that I had ordered fish and chips. He came back two minutes later with the same plate and said he'd made a mistake. These are fish and chips. It was questionable what they were supposed to be called fish and chips. They had a fish-like consistency, pressed into nuggets. A truly terrible condition. Unfortunately, the "chips," aka fries, had only seen a deep fryer in passing. My oven makes better fries. All in all, very disappointing.

There were no mushrooms to be found; there were 1-2 tiny pieces of sliced canned mushrooms on the light sauce – Jägerschnitzel should have a dark sauce ^^ Staff stand in the far corner of the terrace and smoke. Exploitation when paying didn't work for us, and of course, we didn't tip. Absolutely not recommended

I sat outside, which was pleasant. I had the Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes, which was delicious. I just would have preferred brown sauce with mushrooms.

I can't recommend this restaurant. The salad consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce, with half a tomato and five strips of bell pepper. The turkey was okay. I ordered a baked potato and, without telling them it was sold out, I was simply given a portion of fries, which I didn't want. The bill actually included two portions of fries and one burger too many, even though the waiter read out all the items on the bill twice and simply overlooked the burger twice. Understandably, we wanted to see the bill, but he tried to make excuses and even came back with a cheeky attitude. The ambiance, right on the street, is okay. We'll definitely never go there again.

Attempted fraud with 1. billing for ordered but not served food, and 2. serving neither ordered nor napkins. The waiter read the electronically generated bill twice and allegedly "overlooked" a main course. Intentional fraud. Never again.

It would be best to close the place down completely. It's a total rip-off! They charge more than the menu says. You have to pay more than what you eat. The service is terrible, and the food doesn't taste good. You can only pay in cash, and you don't get a bill/receipt! That's weird :)

If you're hungry and there's nothing nearby, I can only recommend it with some reservations. The food was under-seasoned. And you have to be careful when paying so you don't get ripped off.

Worst food so far on the Reeperbahn. Schnitzel from the freezer, the smallest steak you can get, mushrooms from a can and expensive. Eat somewhere else.

The steak tasted like a simple convenience food, and it came with a potato from a packet – not the kind of fresh dish I'd expect at a steakhouse. Was there even a salad or even a small side dish? None. The overall quality of the food was very poor. Even more annoying was the service: The bill was incorrect, and the host reacted in a very incompetent and unfriendly manner. Instead of apologizing, he seemed frustrated and unprofessional. Overall, a very disappointing evening. For the prices charged here, I expected significantly higher quality and service. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the food was really bad. I've rarely seen such a carelessly prepared salad, nor was it particularly fresh in terms of quality. The turkey unfortunately had to die twice – how a steakhouse can serve meat so dry is a mystery to me. The garlic bread was completely hard and dry. The burger barely manages to be "alright." The service is consistently irritable, which completely ruins the entire ambiance. As a Hamburg native, I'm aware that the location might be a challenge in terms of clientele, but if you can't differentiate between guests and start yelling at everyone right from the start, then you're in the wrong job. Unfortunately, the machine didn't work right away when I was paying, so the waiter practically snatched my debit card out of my hand so he could try it himself (unfortunately, it didn't work then either, only after he entered everything three times). This behavior is beyond overreacting. If he had at least asked, I would have let him try, but simply snatching my card because he assumed I was too stupid is completely unacceptable. What actually defines the neighborhood—the coexistence of different social classes, the atmosphere of culture, tourism, and party—is completely ruined by irritated staff.
