Classic Swabian dishes, with good quality ingredients, cooked by hand. But even apart from Swabian classics, there are always sophisticated, delicious dishes. Great wines, of artisanal and often organic origin.

From start to finish I felt very welcome, well served and delicious food in the “Alte Kelter” restaurant. The menu provides many highlights and as soon as the glass was empty, the thoughtful and friendly staff was there. A really great address for all fans of German, regional cuisine.

The venison goulash and the porcini mushroom dumplings were really excellent and also great value for money! Service very friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. We would definitely love to come back!

Swabian cuisine at the highest level, a journey back in time to the 1970s is included thanks to the absolutely stylish ambience. We were just as impressed with classics such as the veal bratwurst or the schnitzel, as were the side salad and the wonderfully rustic service. Nothing works here without a reservation!

A recommended Swabian restaurant in the middle of Stuttgart. Very attentive and friendly staff. I ate a Swiss sausage salad. A little too much of the dressing for my taste was spread over the sausage salad. Price/performance good!

We celebrated our birthday last week, prepared a great table, the boss and boss responded to special requests, really great, come especially from the Rems Murr district 😁 always happy, greetings to the whole Hoftäle team. I actually don't like writing a review, but for the second time, because I gave a 1 star review without a comment, I received a complaint from the restaurant via Google for "defamation" which would delete my review unless I actively objected. So now with a comment! : We were in the restaurant as a large group. Right from the start there were difficulties with ordering; not everyone could order something themselves, but the whole table had to order a few dishes together. Although we weren't actually happy with it, we accepted it because we had already taken a seat and walked a long way to the restaurant. A price was not stated at all, everyone could always ask for a second helping as soon as their plate was empty so that “everyone is full” (words of the boss) and at the end they are billed. Our shared plate of Maultaschen was then empty and suddenly it was said that there were no more Maultaschen, then again it would take some time until some came and finally there were no more. So four people ate from a plate of Maultaschen (two small Maultaschen each), which almost certainly came from the freezer. Finally, the bill: You are simply billed per person. Everyone pays €15 for the meal including (to be very generous) the water (tap water in carafes) which was at least refilled. Then there are the spritzers and co. that were ordered and everyone pays additionally. The four of us paid around €20 for two small Maultaschen and a spritzer. I'm looking forward to a response from the restaurant, but please don't say "if you had said something you would have let them talk to you"... My review is almost two years old and apparently it's still on my mind that I probably get a complaint every year now... Best regards.

I've been enjoying coming here for years. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the price/performance ratio is just right.

Very tasty 😋 eaten there. Swabian cuisine, there are a few dishes for vegetarians. Still highly recommended.
