Rotenberger Weingärtle in Stuttgart

Wir haben lecker gegessen, vorher reserviert, Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und kompetent, berät gut auch bei der Weinsauswahl. Es hat alles bestens gepasst. Kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr freundlich, gutes Essen, auf der Terrasse im Wintergarten trotz Decken etwas kühl, im Sommer sicherlich traumhaft schön. Kommen gerne wieder.

Im Oktober 2024 waren wir (7 Personen) zum Mittagessen im Rotenberger Weingärtle. Die Getränke wurden zügig serviert, jedoch nicht das Essen. Als nach fast einer Stunde alle rundum sitzenden Gäste, die später als wir eingetroffen waren, bereits ihr Essen hatten, wurde unseres nach mehrfacher Nachfrage endlich auch serviert. Leider nur lauwarm. Der grüne Salat war bereits welk, weshalb ich vermute, dass das Essen längere Zeit vor dem Servieren irgendwo geparkt gewesen sein muss. Leider war das alles kein Genuss. Wir können das Restaurant deshalb nicht weiterempfehlen.

Encontramos este lugar en Trip Advisor y fuimos sin reserva. Estaba lleno y primero dijeron que no había aberturas así que tomamos una copa. Ellos volvieron a nosotros y fueron capaces de encajar en y en la terraza trasera! Todo estaba delicioso!

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Wartezeit aufs Essen 1 Stunde. Dann wurde eine Bestellung komplett vergessen. Teilweise kleine Portionen. Spätzle total verkocht. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren nicht sehr schmackhaft. Service nicht mal durchschnittlich. Für diese Qualität sind die Preise total überzogen.

Wir waren zur Feier unserer Hochzeit dort und es war genau wie wir es gewollt hatten. Das Restaurant und die Aussicht über die Weinberge ist einmalig. Das Personal, wie immer, freundlich und hilfsbereit aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen ist der Hammer. Schwäbische Küche vom feinsten und Preis Leistung ist top. Es hat allen Gästen sehr gut geschmeckt und jeder ist satt geworden. Also alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen gern wieder.

Wir haben am kühlen Septembertag im Weingärtle eine Kürbiscremesuppe und das Kürbisrisotto mit gegrilltem Lachs genossen. Beide Speisen waren ausgezeichnet zubereitet und sehr geschmackvoll.

Nicht nur die Aussicht, sondern auch die Speisen punkten. Die schwäbischen Spezialitäten sind hervorragend und dazu noch eine gut gelaunte Bedienung. Deswegen kommen wir immer wieder gerne mit Gästen, die uns besuchen hierher.

Mit dem Esssen waren wir alle sehr zufrieden auch vom Preis/ Wertverhältnis. Die Getränke befinden sich allerdings im gehobenen Niveau. Der Service ist im Grossen und Ganzen gut, wenn man nicht an den einen Ober kommt, der an Unfreundlichkeit und schlechtem Service kaum zu unterbieten ist ( denn schlimmer gehts nimmer). Der Platz mit der tollen Aussicht von der Terrasse macht allerdings vieles wieder wett. Allerdings Vorsicht bei Reservierungen!!!!!! immer fragen, wie lange man bleiben darf, denn sonst kann es vorkommen, dass man noch vor Ende des Essens mehr oder weniger freundlich gebeten wird den Tisch zu verlassen.

Wir hatten am Samstagmittag einen Tisch reserviert. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und erhielten einen Tisch auf der Terrasse mit einem wunderbaren Blick über die Rebberge des Rotenberg. Der Service ist sehr persönlich und freundlich! Das Essen (Schweinsbäckle und Rinderfetzen) war sehr, sehr lecker. Man spürt, dass hier frisch und auf hohem Niveau gekocht wird! Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist für die Lage und die Qualität mehr als angemessen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Sehr nettes Personal, gutes schwäbisches Essen sowie eine sehr gute Auswahl an Wein. Zudem genialer Ausblick auf die Weinberge. Empfehlenswert.

I will preface by saying the food was good, but this is some of the worst service I have ever received from a restaurant and I found it to be totally unacceptable. When we arrived for our 16:30 reservation we were seated in the corner of the patio with no overhead covering. After ordering our drinks, it gradually began to start pouring rain. The server took 5 whole minutes after seeing it was raining to tell us where we could move. There was no attempt made to extend the shade cover over the patio (to block the rain) and no care shown towards any of the customers. We were then told to go inside and “wait to be reseated”. What this meant apparently was losing our view of the vineyard and having to sit in the hot dark interior. We asked several times about sitting under the covered patio (where there was half capacity), but were redirected to a different server each time. Who our server was I couldn’t tell you. As we sat down, I could see the drinks we ordered 10 minutes ago sitting on the counter, the bar remaking one that they messed up. I should mention that the restaurant was no where near busy during any of this. We then waited 10-15 minutes before a server finally asked us what we wanted to order. During this time new guests arrived who were seated directly to the patio. We had made a reservation to be there just like everyone else, and we found this incredibly unfair given we had asked our waiter(s). Our food came out slowly but was very enjoyable. The dessert took almost 30 minutes to come out, however, and during that time the 4-6 waiters were drinking and on their phones. During our visit we were not checked in on once besides when it was strictly necessary to give to take the dishes. Overall I was extremely disappointed in an experience I commuted hours for from Heidelberg. I will not be coning back and I would recommend others to find a different vineyard in Stuttgart.

Always enjoyed being here - but the last few times the noise level really bothered me, you could even understand the person sitting next to you right away, let alone the operation. Why do you have to provide people with additional music in the winter garden? The food is always very tasty, although the vegan dishes are very expensive (3 mini spinach dumplings for €24) - shrinkflation? You should get more for your money here.

Everything was perfect for us here! A business lunch for 6 people. The seating was comfortable, the view towards Rotenberg/Uhlbach was simply great and the food, yes, the beef shreds with spaetzle and the delicious sauce, tasted unbeatable. Be sure to treat yourself to a mixed salad for €7.90 - very filling! Also the recommendation at the end: A 6 times distilled Williams spoiled the palate. Give it a try...

The view and location were outstanding, but my salad was almost swimming in sauce, so a stone deduction for the food. Still recommended, just because of the ambience.

We have been going to this place to celebrate birthdays several years in a row. I love their fish and the seasonal menu like asparagus and potatoes. The view of the vineyards from the terrace is simply magical! ❤️my best ❤️‍🔥

It is a top Swabian restaurant with a fantastic view of the vineyards and the town of Uhlbach. The food was again super tasty, the quality was excellent and the service was very friendly and professional. The large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is exceptional! We'll definitely be back!

Modern swabian delicious food in combination with a beautiful view on Stuttgart's wine hills. Good concept of local only ingredients. Wines from winery Zaiß are okay, better go for Colleqium Wirtemberg.

Waiting so long for summer to come here for the second time, you are treated so rudely. I assume young couples are treated like crap by the older waiter who talks like a frog. Schön gelegenes Lokal, daher auch der grosse Andrang, vor allem bei gutem Wetter! Das Essen jedoch eine totale Enttäuschung. Der Küchenchef möchte anscheinend modernere auch vegane Gerichte anbieten, dies gelingt ihm aber nicht! Wenig Geschmack, auch die Anrichtung ist nicht schön. ein mix aus Allem eine ziemliche Katastrophe.Wir hatten das Saisonale Frühlingsmenü, selbst das Dessert, es sollte ein Schokoladen Parfait sein, nichts davon war erkennbar. Alles schwamm in einer Suppe.....ganz schlimm. Bei den Preisen, fühlt man sich dann schon etwas veräppelt.

A lovely birthday party in a beautiful, well-kept atmosphere with a magnificent view of the vineyards. Very attentive and friendly service, and the food was very good. The restaurant is highly recommended, but it is better to reserve. We all felt comfortable.

I was deeply disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Upon entering, we were told there were no available seats, so we decided to get ice cream to go. However, we soon noticed empty tables and requested to sit down. The waiter reluctantly seated us, but the real shock came when our ice cream was served in cardboard cups. Even the guests at the next table were visibly surprised. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. This level of service is unacceptable for a German restaurant Update- Thank you for your reply. When we entered, everything seemed normal, with staff and guests proceeding as usual. Other guests were also seated without rain protection next to us. Your response seems aimed at influencing readers' opinions rather than sincerely addressing our concerns. I am truly sorry for your staff member who was bitten by a dog, but this does not excuse the poor service we received

We had dinner there at short notice on the holiday. It was really nice to eat on the terrace with this view. Service and food was great. We'd love to come back.

Great Swabian restaurant with typical dishes and regional wines in a beautiful location (Rotenberg, near the chapel). We had a cozy evening. The service is exemplary. Nice and attentive staff complete the overall impression.

We had lunch at Weingärtle with a large group at Easter. As a starter I had a flatbread soup - the taste was excellent. Our vegans were also well looked after, although the portions could have been a little larger. My Schwabenpfännle was very good, it could have used a little more spaetzle, the portion size was fine for the pensioners. Kudos to the professional service, the house was packed and the service had everything under control. The beer from the Steinkrug was delicious and the wine drinkers were also happy with the wine list.

We were there yesterday and we were very impressed by the professionalism of the staff, everyone was very, very friendly, we haven't experienced something so great for a long time. Thank you Karsten and the crew for the great service, the food was so delicious, the starter, then the main course and finally the delicious dessert, it was great! I've eaten very well there several times and the quality of the food has been excellent over the years. Friendly and relaxed service, a well-coordinated team that knows how to deal with stress and hectic pace. We look forward to our next visit to Stuttgart, and definitely again at the Rotenberger Weingärtle.

I went to this restaurant during the week, for dinner. It confirmed expectations. The environment is intimate, facing a panorama that first embraces the vineyards of the area, and then also the city in the distance. I found a welcoming environment, competent and professional staff and a menu with typical dishes of the region with interesting re-interpretations of international cuisine. The dishes and wine tasted were tasty, generous in flavor and corresponding to the declared quality. It was a pleasant confirmation. I hope to be able to return soon!

The food was disappointing and overpriced. The service left a lot to be desired and the beer tasted like the tap was set incorrectly. As an apology we were offered an espresso that tasted even worse than filter coffee. Once and never again!!

Als Zwischenstopp zwischen Flughafen Stuttgart und Sachsenheim zum Abendessen am Vatertag ausgesucht. Obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten, sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Super Essen, super Service und ein wirklich sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, schöne Lage!! Wenn wir wieder in n der Gegend sind, gerne wieder! Macht so weiter!

Spontaneously went to the winery with my wife Michaela on the afternoon of May 1, 2024. Great inn, very friendly staff, very good menu, very good selection of drinks, everything from the local Württemberg region. We recommend.

We liked it very much. Such a great, delicious meal. There were even my pork cheeks, which I know well from Spain. The only point of criticism I have to mention is that a glass of wine also requires a wine glass, 🍷 not a broom glass.

The food is very good (the pork cheek is spectacular) and the place is nice but we went on May 1st when, as is known in Germany, people go out to the street until the prompter and the truth is, the place was overwhelming with people coming in and out... .all very cramped and not very pleasant. Of course, the staff was perfect because for what people there were there, they worked piece-rate and were pleasant.

Was there today for the first, but definitely not the last time!!! The view is of course overwhelming, luckily parking is easy, but I think it will be more difficult at the weekend... I also thought that hopefully you'll get a space for Monday at 7:30 p.m.... I was lucky, but it was very relaxed... great location... Inside rather rustic outside in the winter garden Modern....great menu, could have eaten EVERYTHING...the tartare and asparagus risotto (top asparagus from Bauerles Besen in Fellbach, everything else regional products!!) were simply cooked to perfection!! Great wine selection, service very, very friendly and competent!! I'll definitely come back, I might even become a regular because not many people can offer something like that on Mondays... thank you

A restaurant that is recommended in every respect: top organization, the food was very well cooked and served quickly. The view down to Uhlbach is idyllic! Parking requires luck or a little patience.

Despite reserving a table and agreeing to try to find a place on the terrace, we were abruptly directed into the interior by the responsible employee without any further explanation and the weather was great despite the empty seats on the terrace. The terrace still offered plenty of free seats even when you left the restaurant. Other guests obviously felt the same way.

We celebrated our wedding at the Rotenberger Weingärtle and were absolutely satisfied. All arrangements in advance were uncomplicated and everything worked out as discussed. Very tasty food, perfect and absolutely friendly service. Price/performance is also good. Thank you for everything!

It started as soon as we entered: the restaurant was a third full and both waiters seemed hectic, so no one greeted us at first and we just stood at the counter to inform someone of our arrival (we had reserved a table) and assigned our place receive. Apparently I was in the way of one of the overwhelmed waiters who wanted to put two empty beer mugs at the counter, which motivated him to kick my foot. What he wasn't motivated to do was apologize or say hello. Without a hello from waiter number two, we were served with the question: “Have you made a reservation?” and we were assigned a table on the terrace with a beautiful view. The ambience and noise level there are relaxed and absolutely recommended. Waiter No. 1 drew attention to himself again when he ran into a chair at our table that had not actively moved towards him. The main courses we ordered came surprisingly quickly, with a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes. Visually already prepared, taste wise 6/10 The meat of the pork cheeks seemed warmed up. We ordered two glasses of white wine, which is only listed on the menu as 0.1 for €6. We were brought 0.25 each (without ordering it or asking us) and later charged 9.XX€ per glass. We ordered two more desserts (including ice cream with hot raspberries, which weren't hot) and it took about 30 minutes, which gave the impression that we had been forgotten. The waiter Denis deserves praise, he clearly made an effort and was also interactive/chatty with the guests. In complete contrast to waiter No. 1, who only seemed to be tasked with clearing and serving, but not with ordering/paying (own statement when a neighboring table wanted to pay).

We were there with a small group of people at a wedding. In short: the best choice we could have made and perfect all around. Great welcome in the restaurant from the staff, unique food, an outstanding restaurant philosophy regarding regional products, quality of the food (including the comment about food waste), a perfect ambience including a beautiful view and an outstanding staff Person of Stefan. Even 10 with a possible 5 stars wouldn't be enough!! We'll be back, thank you for the unique evening and the brilliant food!

I made a reservation because of the view, even though I also called so that we could get a table, they told me to come and if there was space, you would sit there, when I finally got there, I understood, under no circumstances will you get it a table there. There is no soda for the children, only 4 different dishes, very expensive for me, €30 for a schnitzel.

Very nicely located restaurant on Rotenberg. Our Schwabenpfännle was very, very tasty. The staff were very friendly despite the total overcrowding and noticeable stress. We were served very courteously. Ambiance is a little cramped but still very quaint and cozy. We'll be back, thank you very much!

Went there for the first time today. It was full . Confirmation celebrations. Still got a table. Despite stress. Everything was super organized. I come from the catering industry myself. Appreciate the service! Perfect team. Get the food quickly. Grandma's roast with spaetzle and potato salad really like grandma... sauce reordered. Received within 2 minutes. Top!! Grandma cooks great. Childhood memories.... Good food, well-rehearsed, friendly team despite the stress... I'll come back when I'm nearby and recommend it to others. The atmosphere is also very nice...

A very modern and at the same time rustic restaurant in the middle of vineyards. The view is great. We even saw a deer running across the fields. Which was also very inappropriate since we had both ordered deer. The service was great. You could simply observe that there was harmony among the employees, a well-coordinated team. Everyone knew what to do. Unfortunately, the pink deer nut food we ordered wasn't really our thing. The Schupfnudeln were also in the pan for a few minutes too long. Partly black. Maybe we should have just ordered something different. Because the other guests' plates looked very appealing. Maybe that was just a mistake on our part. The expectations were too high. Despite everything, of course we'll go there again. Because it was just a very nice Sunday afternoon. And the memory card is very attractive and arouses our curiosity for more. Then there are a few more stars. The shandy was very tasty. All in all, it's a great restaurant and doesn't need to advertise to guests anyway. Because it is in a top location of a destination for hikers, cyclists, walkers, etc. We look forward to our next visit.

Der Ausblick war das beste daran. Das Personal war zwar freundlich und bemüht. Das Essen aber war leider das schlechteste, was ich auf diesem (gehobenen!) Preisniveau je gegessen habe. Es fing an mit einem „Weingärtle Spritz“ für 9 Euro. Bekommen habe ich ca 0,1 l Limonade ohne Garnitur in einem kleinen Weißweinglas, das zur Hälfte mit Eiswürfeln gefüllt war. Ich glaube, das Getränk war fertig gekauft und aus der Flasche. Das Bier immerhin war gut, aber da kann man ja auch nichts falsch machen. Das Tartar mit Wachtelei war grau und sauer. Das Wachtelei kalt. 16 Euro. Der Ziegenkäse war mit viel zu viel Zucker überstreut worden vor der „Karamellisierung“. Er hat nach purem Zucker geschmeckt. 13 Euro. Die Hauptgänge kamen gleichzeitig an, das war gut. Allerdings rund eine Stunde nach Bestellung. Zudem war jedes einzelne Essen misslungen und teilweise kalt. Mein paniertes Hähnchen war verbrannt! Es war schwarz und der verbrannte Geschmack war deutlich wahrnehmbar. Trotzdem ! war es kalt. Die Portion war lachhaft, die Soße versalzen. 26 Euro. Die Rehnuss war teilweise kalt, die Sauce versalzen. Die Schupfnudeln waren ebenfalls kalt. 29 Euro. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war um die 200gramm, die Sauce wiederum versalzen, die Spätzle kalt und die maultasche ebenfalls. 33 Euro. Das Schwabenpfännle war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Die Kässpätzle waren matschig. Die Maultasche kalt. Die Sauce ebenfalls versalzen. 22 Euro. Ich muss schon sagen: das hat uns allen die Geburtstagsfeier gehörig eingetrübt. Als wir dann frustriert gehen wollten, hat die Rechnung wieder 20 Minuten auf sich warten lassen. Die Kellnerin hat erst noch 10 andere Dinge erledigen müssen, obwohl das Restaurant nur noch zu 1/3 besetzt war. Wir werden nicht mehr wieder kommen und können es keinem empfehlen.

In the Rotenberger Weingärtle I was able to enjoy exceptionally good food and the delicious wine from the nearby Besenwirtschaft Gerhard Zaiß, with a wonderful view of the vineyards. The cheese spaetzle and other delicacies are made on site by the restaurant itself. The service was super friendly and the food was so excellent that I will be coming back soon!

Four of us had dinner and were all very dissatisfied with our dishes: - Tartar was gray and the guard egg was cold - Chicken was burnt - Deer wasn't pink and the Schupfnudeln were cold - Rostbraten was of poor quality and the Maultaschen and Spätzle were cold and there were hardly any onions - Schwabenpfännle was soggy and kässpätzle were tasteless and mushy In general, the food was too salty and carelessly prepared and not really warm. Portions are small. Since we paid a large sum for this, we are extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.

Tischreservierung online verlief problemlos. Sehr nette, zuvorkommende und freundlichen Bedienung. Familiäre Atmosphäre, wo man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Die Aussicht ist unbeschreiblich, schöner Wintergarten, tolles Ambiente. Das Essen ist hervorragend, liebevoll zubereitet und köstlich. Nur zu empfehlen. Reichliche Auswahl auch für Vegatarier. Wir können dieses Restaurant immer wieder empfehlen. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen, ich werde auch zukünftig Geschäftsessen hier einplanen. Vielen Dank dem gesamten Team, wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt.

We have now been to the Weingärtle for the fourth time within a short period of time, both for a quick stop (coffee and cake) and for lunch and dinner. We remember every visit positively for a long time. The service is very attentive, the food is very varied and delicious with seasonal (menu) suggestions and the view from one of the tables in the outdoor areas speaks for itself. We would be happy to come back.

"Colorful salad plate" was served as a green leaf salad without a slice of bread. Unfortunately it's no longer what we know. For this price it hurts.

Tisch war bestellt, das Essen kam etwa nach einer Stunde. Die Salate schwammen etwas in der Salatsauce. Portionen waren ok. Das Essen war gut, aber wir müssen jetzt nicht unbedingt wieder hin. Zum Espresso ein einem Gläschen Sekt sind wir lieber rüber zum Rotenberg und zu 1819.

Food very tasty, fresh and sufficient 👍🏻 I reserved a table for two for our wedding anniversary and asked them to reserve a place on the terrace with a view outside. On the day of the visit, we arrive and are greeted warmly and the young gentleman at reception says, "As the weather is not so nice today, we have decided not to reserve a place for you on the terrace, but have given you a small place a little away from the action furnished". Well, the place is set up on a small elevation, there was a beer table set that was totally uncomfortable, and you had a light bulb hanging from the ceiling directly at eye level in your field of vision. I actually have to say that is a total no-go! As a customer, I would decide for myself whether I would sit on the terrace or not. Maybe we'll give the team another chance and our experience at the Weingärtle can turn out 100% positive. Best regards from Ludwigsburg

Super nice team and very tasty food. In the evening there is a 3-course menu with an unbeatable price/performance ratio. During my visit there was beef tartare as a starter, pollo fino as the main course and a chocolate parfait as the crowning glory. Every single course was really fantastic and for a more than fair €36.

Location is great. Food is delicious. Terrace also has a large awning. Points are deducted for the toilet, which can be reached via 18 steps. Not bad for me, not an easy thing for people with walking difficulties or lung problems. The information refers to the barrier-free entrance and barrier-free parking lot... As an alternative, we were given a reference to the public toilet, which is 20 meters away from the restaurant.

This wasn't our first time here. This evening we took Grandma's birthday to the Weingärtle and we weren't disappointed. On the contrary, even after the excellent meal (orange-saffron risotto with and without zander, pork duo) there was a sparkling surprise including a serenade from the friendly staff. This brought a blush to the 71-year-old's face. But even if you're not a birthday child, you feel very comfortable in the rustic atmosphere. Not least because the children also like to come here (2x very tender children's cream schnitzel with spaetzle - almost half-eaten plates!) because they get something to paint (patience when choosing the coloring picture included) and are served in a fun way. A clear recommendation to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent, imaginative cuisine without a fancy ambience, but with a beautiful view. Keep it up!

The food was incredibly delicious. The starter and main course were excellent. The meat was very tender. Buttery soft and delicious. Our waiter, Till, was very competent. He put us in a good mood and fulfilled our every wish. His skills are outstanding. The ambience is also great! You feel like you're in a good room.

The Rotenberger Weingärtle not only offers delicious and fresh food, but also a homely atmosphere both inside and outside. The outdoor area with patio heaters is particularly pleasant. The service was polite and good. The prices are quite low for what you get. Overall a very good experience!

We had a very great stay at the Rotenberger Weingärtle. The porcini mushroom dumplings (VEGAN) were very tasty. The beetroot salad is also highly recommended. My companion had the cheese spaetzle with a green salad. She was also very happy with her choice. A gentleman served us, he was very accommodating. I can highly recommend it

The Weingärtle restaurant sits high above Uhlbach on the Rotenberg. The food was good to very good, i.e. the kitchen can do something, the service was a bit blasé to bad-tempered, that shouldn't be the case. The furnishings, especially the winter garden, could do with a refresh, otherwise the location is location and it is undeniably wonderful.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service was very poor. Hence the change in the review from 5 to 3 stars. A pity.

By chance we spontaneously ended up in the Weingärtle today and what can we say: Super delicious food, the Rotenberg wine aperitif was super tasty and just something different, super nice and attentive service with a great view over the vineyards and the food was also delicious ! We weren't here for the last time. 😊

We were there on Valentine's Day. Great view, very friendly staff and very tasty cocktails! There was a 5-course Valentine's Day menu and you could only choose between vegetarian and non-vegetarian, nothing more! Unfortunately the food wasn't good! Especially not for the price! And between salad and soup we had to wait 2 hours! In total we had to wait from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. until we all had our menu!!!!!!!! Because we had to be served with the people who didn't come until 7 p.m.!
