We celebrated our wedding at the Rotenberger Weingärtle with a total of 66 people, and it was simply fantastic! About the event itself: We first had a champagne reception in the wine press at the Kollegium Wirtemberg, followed by coffee and cake, as well as a three-course dinner at the Weingärtle itself. Both were organized by the Weingärtle team, which took a lot of coordination off our hands. All 66 guests were able to sit in the winter garden and on the terrace without any problems. Our detailed review: 1) The food was of very high quality, lovingly prepared and presented. Whether it was a Swabian classic or risotto with salmon, every dish tasted delicious, and all of our guests loved it. A key factor for us: The vegan and vegetarian options were in no way inferior to any other dishes! The drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were all delicious and beautifully selected. 2) The service before and during the reception was excellent. The event coordinator, Ms. Booß, was available at all times and accommodated all our requests and ideas. At the same time, the team that accompanied us during the celebration was charming and professional, never intrusive but always attentive. 3) The pricing was transparent and fair. 4) Both locations are beautifully situated with fantastic views over the vineyards. We would do it again in a heartbeat and are incredibly happy to have celebrated our wedding here!

The food and service simply don't match the value for money! But this experience wasn't surprising, as we've been to several events where Rotenberger Weingärtle caters! We've never eaten Maultaschen this bad!

We treated my wife's grandparents to a stay there as a birthday present. Of course, we had to reserve in advance. The food was delicious, and the view was also very beautiful. But you pay a lot for it. But whatever, the birthday dinner was a complete success, and the two of them were very happy about the day on Rotenberg afterwards.

We had a reservation. Unfortunately, we only got a table inside. The friendly waiter immediately made up for it by bringing my dog a sausage. The food was delicious and plentiful. Request: Would you like a reservation inside or outside? Highly recommended.

Very loud and crowded. The service was attentive but visibly stressed and somewhat uncoordinated. We had a reservation and arrived on time (not early). Nevertheless, it took forever for the waiters to agree on where to seat us, which seemed unprofessional. Our drinks sat on the counter for ages until one of the waiters finally decided to bring them to us. Three tables that arrived after us were allowed to order before us and therefore got their food earlier. We had to actively ask if we could order food. The view was nice, but unfortunately we didn't get much of it since we were seated inside. My lemon risotto was excellent! My partner's schnitzel was unfortunately not impressive.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit – even though we had made a special reservation for my birthday. We wanted to sit at a free table on the terrace and politely asked if that was possible. The waitress's response: a curt "No," without any explanation. When my mother then asked if she could put an additional chair in our place, this was also refused in an inappropriately rude tone – even though she had even wanted to get the chair herself. What was particularly unpleasant was that the waiter demonstratively shook his head as he turned away, apparently making fun of us with his colleagues. That's completely unacceptable – especially not for a reserved birthday meal. Only after asking again were we told that the outside table was reserved – why they couldn't have said that politely right away is a mystery to us. What also struck me: The rude and unfriendly tone wasn't just noticeable towards us – other guests reacted in a similar way. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident there. As for the food itself: The portions were really small, but quite expensive – and unfortunately, the taste wasn't anything special. Overall, an unfriendly welcome, uncaring treatment of guests, and a disappointing experience. We certainly won't be back.

We were treated very unfriendly and rudely today. The way we were spoken to was completely unacceptable. What kind of attitude is that towards guests when you're already annoyed from the start and shake your head, so that the guest notices it? The food is nothing special, and the value for money is not at all right. No, thanks.

First of all, I have to say that the food tasted very good. Unfortunately, half of the six meals were served lukewarm to cold. The ambiance is cozy. The service was an absolute disaster. Our table was right in front of the waiter. Dessert was completely forgotten. The coffee sat on the counter for 15 minutes. Apparently, they didn't want to sell drinks. And meanwhile, five waiters stood idle, not two meters away from us, chatting animatedly with each other. If you can afford that...

The craftsmanship isn't capable of realizing the truly lofty idea on the plate. A risotto like this should still have some bite, and the optional salmon belongs in the center of the stage, not at the edge like a shipwrecked sailor. The transition from the freshness of the lemon aroma to "smoothing out all your wrinkles" is delicate, meaning: less is more. All of this against the backdrop of the expectations raised by the price range. It is, after all, a beautiful place.

A beautiful evening with a great view over the vineyards. The staff was attentive. My cheese spaetzle was plentiful and absolutely delicious, as was the quince spritz. It's a relatively noisy suburb, so be prepared for that. The terrace is fantastic!

We were there with a group of 40 people. Communication beforehand and the reservation process were straightforward and reliable. Once we arrived, the service was incredibly fast, and the food arrived quickly and was very good. The view was, of course, amazing, too. Everyone felt completely at home.

The food was excellent. Schweinbäckle (pork cheeks), Wiener Schnitzel, and for dessert, we shared Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes). We also had light beer and a shandy in a stein mug.

This was our first time at Weingärtle. Everything was exactly as described. Upscale, traditional Swabian cuisine with many vegetarian options and fresh, regional ingredients. Very friendly service. Fast, beautiful, and, above all, delicious preparation. A wonderful view of the vineyards and the burial mound from the terrace. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended for guests and tourists alike.

The food was delicious, the portions were plentiful, and the prices were fair. The service was friendly, and the view outside was simply fantastic. A few things could be improved: The chairs on the terrace aren't particularly comfortable, and some of the floorboards look rotten. Furthermore, the women's restroom wasn't entirely clean, and the trash cans were full. Of course, guests also bear some responsibility, but regular cleaning and emptying of the trash cans is the job of the staff. Nevertheless, it was a nice visit. We'd love to come back!

No receipt... Paid 66 euros, no matter how I calculate it, I can't figure it out. The worst part, though, was that the Maultasche wasn't cooked in fresh fat. Despite complaining, no response. No partial refund or free coffee. The view was beautiful.

Great restaurant with really good food and friendly staff. We stumbled upon this place by chance on a trip. Despite it being a weekend and a large group, we were able to get a wheelchair-accessible seat right away, and the staff were very accommodating from the start. The food was very good, with a great salad selection with delicious toppings, but the best part was the cheese spaetzle. We'll definitely be back.

The food is truly delicious, but unfortunately, the service leaves something to be desired. The staff was extremely unfriendly when we made our reservation over the phone, and unfortunately, it didn't improve once we arrived. They were very grumpy and unenthusiastic. We had barely cleared the last plate when we were abruptly charged and sent away, claiming the table was now reserved (more than half of the other tables were empty that day).

We went to dinner at the Rotenberger Weingärtle with a group of 23 people. The weather was very hot, and we sat outside in the shade and with a gentle breeze in the "summer garden." There, we sat as a group, somewhat separated from the normal restaurant. It was ideal for the group, especially with the great weather. The ambiance, with the view over the vineyards and a beautiful sunset in front of the restaurant, is simply fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious and good; the Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancakes) for dessert is particularly recommended. The service was fast, friendly, and uncomplicated. Despite the large group, all the main courses arrived practically at the same time. The bus stop right in front of the restaurant is also very convenient (especially after a few glasses of wine). Overall, the group was very satisfied with the restaurant, and as the organizer, I received a lot of praise for the great restaurant choice 😀

The food was delicious, but one of the two portions was quite small for an adult, and the prices were reasonable. The dessert menu was offered but never arrived at the table. Three years ago, they were still responding to negative reviews. They seem to have given up, as the staff haven't improved their brusque, sometimes rude, and, above all, unfriendly attitude. If you ever need to learn more about customer loyalty, just scroll through here. There's plenty of room for improvement.

Today's special was stuffed vegetarian peppers with rice, parsley pesto, and arugula – not only a visual delight, but also a perfect match in terms of flavor. The fresh ingredients and the delicate pesto complemented each other perfectly. The attractive presentation on the plate was particularly noteworthy, adding further value to the dish. To round off the meal, an excellent espresso from the Dinzler roastery rounded off the meal – strong in aroma, yet pleasantly smooth in flavor. An all-around successful meal that will stay with you forever.

Good Swabian food, friendly service

Einer schöner Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen, überaus freundlichem Personal und einem traumhaften Ausblick. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, denn die Speisekarte hat Lust aufs Probieren weiterer Gerichte gemacht. So lässt sich der Hochzeitstag durchaus würdig begehen.

The food is delicious, the ambiance is beautiful, with a lovely view of the vineyards, although everything is a bit cramped. Unfortunately, the waiters are sometimes a bit unfriendly, constantly making wise-guy remarks like "don't stress" and "I told you so" when asked questions. This spoils the dining experience, which is a shame!

Unfortunately, the food can't live up to the view. The shredded beef was unfortunately seared without salt, and the spaetzle felt like they were cooked without salt. My wife's dish, pork cheeks, was, on the other hand, perfectly seasoned. Classic cuisine that also aims to be. The view over the vineyards is fantastic.

On June 6, 2025, five of us had dinner. Perfect, attentive service, attentive to our guests, and recommendations that were accompanied by tastings. Very tasty food and generous portions, with side dishes always available. We'd happily return anytime!

Highly recommended! We had the tasty shredded beef and were quite filling. We really like the fact that you can order spaetzle as a second course. Before or afterward, you can take a lovely walk through the vineyards.

I read the great reviews and was very curious to visit this restaurant. I've tried several times to make a reservation, but unfortunately, the restaurant was fully booked each time. I was all the more pleased when I finally managed to call in time and actually reserve a table. I politely asked on the phone if it would be possible to get a table outside. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly and explained that he couldn't guarantee it, but would be happy to note it. If a table was available outside that day, we would, of course, get one. When we finally arrived, we saw that several tables were available outside. Nevertheless, we were seated in the conservatory, which was very warm. Unfortunately, when I politely asked if we could sit outside, the employee reacted very rudely and stressed with a curt, "No, we only have this one available," and immediately left without further explanation or consideration. We sat for a few minutes, but I was honestly disappointed—not just because of the table, but especially because of the way we were treated. The employee's rude and irritable manner made us feel unwelcome, so we ultimately decided to leave. Maybe he was having a bad day... who knows, but his demeanor was very unpleasant. On the way out, I calmly explained to the gentleman why we were leaving, to which he replied in a cheeky tone, "Do you even know how to make a reservation?" - Wow, what great customer service... It's a real shame—especially since the telephone contact beforehand had been really pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience on site greatly tarnished this positive impression.

We booked a table on the terrace, and luckily, it was full. The view was magnificent, overlooking the vineyard, and the dishes were delicious, hearty, and very well-prepared. We had a quince-based aperitif, Spritz-style. We also enjoyed some excellent wines, which we received good recommendations for pairing with the dishes.

Definitely a must-visit in the region if you want to enjoy homemade, high-quality Swabian cuisine. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant lives up to its promise and is always busy. The Weingärtle offers guests a magnificent view (especially in the evenings), with excellent aperitifs prepared with the restaurant's own wines and a variety of delicious, homemade or hand-made Swabian delicacies. The meat is buttery soft and exquisite. To finish, there are also wonderful desserts for the heart. It's a shame that we had to wait 45 minutes for our Kaiserschmarn (smothered pancakes) in the last dish, and the kitchen forgot about it in the hustle and bustle and was unfortunately closed. A place to indulge the palate with every plate.

My visit to this restaurant was disappointing overall. As soon as it was served, I noticed that the food wasn't warm enough – in some cases, it was even cold. This not only affected the taste but also the entire dining experience. In addition, the food was significantly too salty, giving the impression that the seasoning was heavy-handed rather than delicate. The value for money also left a lot to be desired: The prices were simply not justified for the quality offered and the lackluster service. The service itself felt more like mass processing than attentive service. Everything had to be done quickly, and a friendly word or a smile was nowhere to be found. Overall, this is a place I unfortunately won't be visiting again.

My husband and I ate here for the second time. It was about a year between visits. The food was consistently excellent! The service was very attentive and friendly! We recommend the braised pork cheeks, the caramelized goat cheese, and the Kaiserschmarrn. We'll definitely stop by again next time we're in the area.

We went to this restaurant for lunch during the week (not a holiday) following our civil ceremony/wedding. The venue was busy, but not fully booked – lunch was served from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We had personally reserved seats on one of the terraces in advance. These were canceled at short notice and moved indoors. The reason: another wedding party had already announced their arrival, and the owners, due to negative previous experiences, do not want to serve two parties outdoors. It's annoying that this wasn't communicated during our initial contact. We had chosen the location precisely because of the view and the short distance to the registry office. Due to the last-minute change and our schedule, we had no alternative and had to accept the indoor seating. Upon arrival, the originally reserved outdoor seating was occupied by a couple (table for 10 people). Additionally, the daily special was schnitzel, which was sold out by 1:00 p.m. Coincidence? Due to this faux pas, I can't give a better rating. Especially since we always enjoyed eating there, though never as a group. But that's finally over now.
