Wonderful view, very good food, friendly service.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The service was attentive and friendly, truly excellent. The food was very well prepared and tasted of a high standard. The wine recommendation deserves special mention – the white wine paired perfectly with the meal. As a special surprise, we received a complimentary dessert, which rounded off the evening wonderfully. An absolute recommendation – we'd love to come back :-)

This was our second visit and we were absolutely thrilled both times. I'd love to come back. The ambiance, the view over the vineyards, the food, and the friendly staff all perfectly complement each other. Minor changes to orders are no problem; the staff are very friendly and attentive. There was a larger group of 16 people on the terrace, which caused a lot of noise that day. However, on our first visit, it was very quiet and harmonious. We had the Schwabenpfännle (Swabian pancake), which I would have again anytime. The seasonally offered aperitifs are always delicious. The salad is fresh and crisp.

The food was excellent, as always. There was only a minor dispute regarding the waiting time, but this was resolved very accommodatingly. Thank you again for that.

I reserved a table on the terrace for my wife's birthday. From the views to the food and drinks included, practically everything is classy and unique. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't top-notch. The service was beyond top-notch. Overall, I definitely recommend it, and we'll definitely visit again. <3

We celebrated our wedding here last week and couldn't have imagined anything better. Fantastic, attentive service, excellent planning and organization in advance, high-quality Swabian food 🥘, and the entire staff were incredibly friendly. If you want a successful celebration and satisfied guests, this is the place to be.

It's amazing how much you can go wrong with cheese spaetzle. A bitter disappointment, but no wonder, as the dish was served about five minutes after ordering. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, the cheese tasted of nothing (presumably the cheapest kind), and only the fried onions added some flavor.

We had a lovely table with a view over Stuttgart. The food arrived at the same time and was excellent. We'd gladly return.

What a wonderful evening. Excellent service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere with friendly people. Unfortunately, I can only give it 5 stars. It should really be 10. I've already booked it for a small celebration in December and am already looking forward to it.

I went to the Rotenberger Weingärtle for my birthday with a friend, and we had a truly perfect evening. The view from the terrace over the vineyards is simply idyllic—a real highlight, especially in the evening. The food was outstanding: a fresh salad to start with, followed by a roast beef with onions that left nothing to be desired—tender meat, a perfectly balanced sauce, homemade spaetzle, and crispy fried and melted onions. A dream! I'd especially like to highlight the wine recommendation: rarely has a white wine paired so well with roast beef. The dessert was the icing on the cake. The service was attentive, warm, and very friendly—you feel welcome from the very first minute. All in all, a wonderful evening in a restaurant that I can highly recommend.

Despite having made a reservation, we had a very poor seat under a glass roof. It was far too hot, and we had no view of the surrounding countryside. The schnitzel consisted mostly of breadcrumbs, and the potato salad was nothing special.

Everything was perfect! The ambiance is amazing, especially in the evening ☀️ The service is exactly what you'd expect, but unfortunately, is rarely found these days ✨️ ...and the food? A dream 🍽 Highly recommended!

Superb view The food was okay. My breading was slightly burnt in places. The breading on the Wiener Schnitzel could be lighter in my opinion... but that's just a visual suggestion. The service could be friendlier... it came across as a bit cold to me. Saying things like "I only have two hands" to a customer isn't appropriate for a waitress.

Despite a prior reservation, we were only assigned a small table in a dark part of the restaurant. Neither the service nor the organization seemed professional—neither the waiters nor the restaurant management seemed competent. Although both a phone number and email address were provided when making the reservation, we were not informed that only indoor seating was available. A simple advance notice could have avoided this disappointment. This experience has lost us as guests. We will only report negative things about this experience to our colleagues and friends. The food was also mediocre—comparable Swabian dishes can be found at any other restaurant that is at least as good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The two of us enjoyed a cozy table with a view of the wine valley. Despite the busyness, our reservation worked perfectly (we had an early reservation and were seated right at the edge of the terrace). The food was delicious (including seconds for the side dish), and the service was friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive.

For my small family gathering, we had the best table on the terrace, with a clear view of Uhlbach, the vineyards, and the Rotenberg. It was a fantastic evening with excellent service and the best food!

Great atmosphere with a better view and even better food!

I was there yesterday with two friends. It was an all-around 5-star evening. The three of us had the grilled black pudding as a starter, followed by the classic roast beef with Gottesbscheisserle (a kind of German sauerkraut) and spaetzle (a kind of spaetzle). Then we had Kaiserschmarrn again together, and at the end, we were all able to tuck into our own pancakes. The entire service was top-notch, and the fantastic view is a real treat. Conclusion: WE'LL BE AGAIN

Full marks in all categories. The food was great, the waiter took excellent care of his guests. And we don't need to talk about the view; we sat on the terrace – simply gorgeous.

We had a very good meal here. A lovely restaurant, with a magnificent view of the vineyards from the terrace. Our reserved table on the terrace was set back a bit. After we were seated, a table for two at the very front became available. Unfortunately, after asking the waiter, we were not allowed to sit there. Shortly before we paid (the table in question was still free), the waiter led a guest to this free table and asked whether he would prefer to sit there or at a table at the back. I find this behavior incomprehensible. I sincerely hope that I will receive a response from you to my positive and negative reviews.

August 6, 2025 We made a reservation a week in advance for four people at 6 p.m. and were assigned a table by the door facing the street instead of on the terrace, even though there were four free tables on the terrace... The waitress said others had reserved a while ago... Unfortunately, we had to leave on a balmy summer evening...

This was our second time there. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was excellent. Parking is a bit tricky, as there aren't many on-street spaces. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you make a reservation well in advance, you'll have a better chance of getting a seat outside.

The food here is always fantastic. This is our second time here, and both the standard dishes and the seasonal dishes are fantastic. Plus, the beer in a stein and a fantastic view. The pan-fried dishes and the current summer menu are particularly recommended. Unfortunately, there's hardly any parking, but other than that, I highly recommend it.

The outdoor area offers spectacular views of the vineyards. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food arrived quite quickly. The Swabian pan-fried dish and the roast beef with onions completely won us over. The spaetzle and Maultaschen are homemade and taste outstanding. The portions are generous. We'll be back 😃

The Maultaschen were packed with flavor, the Spätzle creamy and rich, and the Zwiebelrostbraten was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Local wines and beers complement the food beautifully. We celebrated our wedding at the Rotenberger Weingärtle with a total of 66 people, and it was simply fantastic! About the event itself: We first had a champagne reception in the wine press at the Kollegium Wirtemberg, followed by coffee and cake, as well as a three-course dinner at the Weingärtle itself. Both were organized by the Weingärtle team, which took a lot of coordination off our hands. All 66 guests were able to sit in the winter garden and on the terrace without any problems. Our detailed review: 1) The food was of very high quality, lovingly prepared and presented. Whether it was a Swabian classic or risotto with salmon, every dish tasted delicious, and all of our guests loved it. A key factor for us: The vegan and vegetarian options were in no way inferior to any other dishes! The drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were all delicious and beautifully selected. 2) The service before and during the reception was excellent. The event coordinator, Ms. Booß, was available at all times and accommodated all our requests and ideas. At the same time, the team that accompanied us during the celebration was charming and professional, never intrusive but always attentive. 3) The pricing was transparent and fair. 4) Both locations are beautifully situated with fantastic views over the vineyards. We would do it again in a heartbeat and are incredibly happy to have celebrated our wedding here!

The food and service simply don't match the value for money! But this experience wasn't surprising, as we've been to several events where Rotenberger Weingärtle caters! We've never eaten Maultaschen this bad!

We treated my wife's grandparents to a stay there as a birthday present. Of course, we had to reserve in advance. The food was delicious, and the view was also very beautiful. But you pay a lot for it. But whatever, the birthday dinner was a complete success, and the two of them were very happy about the day on Rotenberg afterwards.

We had a reservation. Unfortunately, we only got a table inside. The friendly waiter immediately made up for it by bringing my dog a sausage. The food was delicious and plentiful. Request: Would you like a reservation inside or outside? Highly recommended.

Our 12-year-old son and his friend had lunch with you today. Even though we weren't there as parents, both boys were served very politely and courteously. They really enjoyed their food, and we'd love to come together next time.

Very loud and crowded. The service was attentive but visibly stressed and somewhat uncoordinated. We had a reservation and arrived on time (not early). Nevertheless, it took forever for the waiters to agree on where to seat us, which seemed unprofessional. Our drinks sat on the counter for ages until one of the waiters finally decided to bring them to us. Three tables that arrived after us were allowed to order before us and therefore got their food earlier. We had to actively ask if we could order food. The view was nice, but unfortunately we didn't get much of it since we were seated inside. My lemon risotto was excellent! My partner's schnitzel was unfortunately not impressive.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit – even though we had made a special reservation for my birthday. We wanted to sit at a free table on the terrace and politely asked if that was possible. The waitress's response: a curt "No," without any explanation. When my mother then asked if she could put an additional chair in our place, this was also refused in an inappropriately rude tone – even though she had even wanted to get the chair herself. What was particularly unpleasant was that the waiter demonstratively shook his head as he turned away, apparently making fun of us with his colleagues. That's completely unacceptable – especially not for a reserved birthday meal. Only after asking again were we told that the outside table was reserved – why they couldn't have said that politely right away is a mystery to us. What also struck me: The rude and unfriendly tone wasn't just noticeable towards us – other guests reacted in a similar way. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident there. As for the food itself: The portions were really small, but quite expensive – and unfortunately, the taste wasn't anything special. Overall, an unfriendly welcome, uncaring treatment of guests, and a disappointing experience. We certainly won't be back.

What kind of attitude is that towards guests when you're already annoyed from the start and shake your head, so that the guest notices it? The food is nothing special, and the value for money is not at all right. No, thanks.

First of all, I have to say that the food tasted very good. Unfortunately, half of the six meals were served lukewarm to cold. The ambiance is cozy. The service was an absolute disaster. Our table was right in front of the waiter. Dessert was completely forgotten. The coffee sat on the counter for 15 minutes. Apparently, they didn't want to sell drinks. And meanwhile, five waiters stood idle, not two meters away from us, chatting animatedly with each other. If you can afford that...

The craftsmanship isn't capable of realizing the truly lofty idea on the plate. A risotto like this should still have some bite, and the optional salmon belongs in the center of the stage, not at the edge like a shipwrecked sailor. The transition from the freshness of the lemon aroma to "smoothing out all your wrinkles" is delicate, meaning: less is more. All of this against the backdrop of the expectations raised by the price range. It is, after all, a beautiful place.

A beautiful evening with a great view over the vineyards. The staff was attentive. My cheese spaetzle was plentiful and absolutely delicious, as was the quince spritz. It's a relatively noisy suburb, so be prepared for that. The terrace is fantastic!

We were there with a group of 40 people. Communication beforehand and the reservation process were straightforward and reliable. Once we arrived, the service was incredibly fast, and the food arrived quickly and was very good. The view was, of course, amazing, too. Everyone felt completely at home.

Fast, beautiful, and, above all, delicious preparation. A wonderful view of the vineyards and the burial mound from the terrace. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended for guests and tourists alike.

The food was delicious, the portions were plentiful, and the prices were fair. The service was friendly, and the view outside was simply fantastic. A few things could be improved: The chairs on the terrace aren't particularly comfortable, and some of the floorboards look rotten. Furthermore, the women's restroom wasn't entirely clean, and the trash cans were full. Of course, guests also bear some responsibility, but regular cleaning and emptying of the trash cans is the job of the staff. Nevertheless, it was a nice visit. We'd love to come back!

Despite it being a weekend and a large group, we were able to get a wheelchair-accessible seat right away, and the staff were very accommodating from the start. The food was very good, with a great salad selection with delicious toppings, but the best part was the cheese spaetzle. We'll definitely be back.

No receipt... Paid 66 euros, no matter how I calculate it, I can't figure it out. The worst part, though, was that the Maultasche wasn't cooked in fresh fat. Despite complaining, no response. No partial refund or free coffee. The view was beautiful.

The food is truly delicious, but unfortunately, the service leaves something to be desired. The staff was extremely unfriendly when we made our reservation over the phone, and unfortunately, it didn't improve once we arrived. They were very grumpy and unenthusiastic. We had barely cleared the last plate when we were abruptly charged and sent away, claiming the table was now reserved (more than half of the other tables were empty that day).

We went to dinner at the Rotenberger Weingärtle with a group of 23 people. The weather was very hot, and we sat outside in the shade and with a gentle breeze in the "summer garden." There, we sat as a group, somewhat separated from the normal restaurant. It was ideal for the group, especially with the great weather. The ambiance, with the view over the vineyards and a beautiful sunset in front of the restaurant, is simply fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious and good; the Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancakes) for dessert is particularly recommended. The service was fast, friendly, and uncomplicated. Despite the large group, all the main courses arrived practically at the same time. The bus stop right in front of the restaurant is also very convenient (especially after a few glasses of wine). Overall, the group was very satisfied with the restaurant, and as the organizer, I received a lot of praise for the great restaurant choice 😀

The food was delicious, but one of the two portions was quite small for an adult, and the prices were reasonable. The dessert menu was offered but never arrived at the table. Three years ago, they were still responding to negative reviews. They seem to have given up, as the staff haven't improved their brusque, sometimes rude, and, above all, unfriendly attitude. If you ever need to learn more about customer loyalty, just scroll through here. There's plenty of room for improvement.

Today's special was stuffed vegetarian peppers with rice, parsley pesto, and arugula – not only a visual delight, but also a perfect match in terms of flavor. The fresh ingredients and the delicate pesto complemented each other perfectly. The attractive presentation on the plate was particularly noteworthy, adding further value to the dish. To round off the meal, an excellent espresso from the Dinzler roastery rounded off the meal – strong in aroma, yet pleasantly smooth in flavor. An all-around successful meal that will stay with you forever.

Good Swabian food, friendly service

Einer schöner Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen, überaus freundlichem Personal und einem traumhaften Ausblick. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, denn die Speisekarte hat Lust aufs Probieren weiterer Gerichte gemacht. So lässt sich der Hochzeitstag durchaus würdig begehen.
