Perfect for meeting up with friends and celebrating. Mr. Meyer and his team, including Mr. Lenski, do a truly excellent job. Wonderful, fresh, cool Gaffel Kölsch on tap, accompanied by a currywurst with fries or Swabian cheese spaetzle and Maultäschle (a kind of fried pasta dish). Thank you for the lovely evening.

The daily specials are particularly good value, available Monday to Friday for just €7.90. If you like Swabian food or want to get to know it, this is the place for you. Self-service. Order at the counter. Food is brought to you. Friendly, hard-working staff. One of my few favorite restaurants.

I was here for a snack break on the terrace just for the draft Kölsch. Since it was my first time here, the ordering system wasn't immediately clear to me, as there were no instructions on the table or on the menu. Despite the large number of customers, a super-friendly waiter explained it to me and (I was glad to have found a free seat) readily took my order, which then arrived at my table. Ordered not quite like a spicy currywurst with bread, but with P.F., but thanks to the friendly waiter, I didn't complain. The generous portion of P.F. was probably healthier, but too bland for my taste, and (because I ordered spicy) the extra mayo sauce wasn't necessary. Still: a nice, uncomplicated place if you know how it works.

Vegetarian Maultaschen lunch: The meat Maultaschen at the neighboring tables looked great, butcher-quality. The vegetarian ones were a total flop; at best, they were the Bürger ones from the 6-pack!

A Swabian alternative to kebabs and fries for night owls. It's quick, filling, and there's a well-stocked beer fridge.

So I ate the house order, and there were five pieces of meat on my plate. Well, for €14, I find that a bit cheeky.

Unfortunately, the portion was very small… and the taste wasn't really that great. The portion is okay for children, but the value for money is unfortunately nonexistent.

Always good & cheap, waiting time for food quite short

An average snack bar in a beautiful location by the TV tower. A currywurst, however, has to come out crispy from the grill. Here, the sausage is essentially just warmed up. A serious minus point for only accepting card payments.

Nice snack bar, good concept and idea, terrible execution. This evening I ordered currywurst with fries, a portion of mayonnaise, and a Coke, paid, and immediately tipped after being told the food would be delivered to my table. An hour later, my Coke was empty and the food wasn't there. When I asked about it, I was yelled at, saying I should have picked it up. My reply, also yelled at them, was that they would bring it to me. I didn't go along with that this time. When I held the portion in my hand, it was about to fly behind the counter. The children's portion is larger, and there was no mayo either. 20 fries were a lot. Sorry, no, not possible. Maybe I was just unlucky because it was busy, but I haven't felt so ripped off in a long time. Thank goodness Rewe was still open and satisfied my hunger. I'm from Lake Constance, and high prices don't usually bother me. But these prices and portions were a real turn-off for me.

Highly recommended! The food tastes outstanding and is delivered quickly to your table. The staff is extremely friendly, and the chef reflects the positive image of his restaurant in every way. Swabian specialties, salads, and more offer a wide enough selection for everyone. You can eat on the lunch menu for under €10. Very satisfied!

Unfortunately, it was already closed at 9:20 p.m. - I checked beforehand and the door also said "Open until 10 p.m." - so I went there unnecessarily...

The schnitzel and sauce are okay for the price. But the spaetzle are awful. They're just some kind of soft, tasteless mass. It turned me off. That's completely unacceptable for a Swabian restaurant/snack bar in the Swabian metropolis. I gave it the third star for the reasonable prices. A little praise for that ;-)

2 people, Monday, 11:30 a.m. Very friendly order-taking at the counter; you have to choose one of the numbered tables in advance. We ordered currywurst with fries and lentils/spätzle/Saiten. The currywurst came uncut, meaning in one piece and with the skin on. Unfortunately, it was only lukewarm inside. I don't know if the sausages are pre-cooked and what happens next, but this sausage had only been grilled/fried briefly, if at all. If the knives aren't really sharp, then the poorly cooked skin is a problem. I'm not familiar with it, so I can only compare it to what I'm used to. The spicy sauce is good, and I'd give the fries a 3 in terms of quality. Very short and thin, but they're deep-fried. I consider the price-performance ratio of the fries to be borderline.

Great idea: convenient and quick Swabian food, from Maultaschen (swabian dumplings), Leberkäse (meatloaf), Spätzle (spaetzle), and potato salad to schnitzel and fries. I've been there several times when I was in Stuttgart. Prices are perfectly reasonable; if you're having Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) for dessert, you should also get the dessert portion, not the main course portion. That's actually a main course. The price per person, including a drink, is around €12-18. It depends on whether you just get the classic currywurst with fries or the specialty plate with Maultaschen (swabian dumplings), potato salad, and other delicacies.

Delicious Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) in many variations. We had the Parisian style (with baked Brie) and the Black Forest style (ham and mountain cheese). Excellent value for money.

Little gem a little away from the busy pedestrian zone 🌟 The food was so delicious that we spontaneously stopped by a second time that same evening. Not only tourists but also locals feel at home here - a real sign of authentic quality. What was particularly nice was the friendly atmosphere in the team, which immediately spread a good mood. Swabian food with self-service, nice staff, relaxed atmosphere. My salad was a bit dry, so I immediately added salad dressing. Swabian food when you want something quicker and still taste delicious.

The restaurant is decorated very nicely. Unfortunately no table service, but that's manageable. I treated myself to the Jägerschnitzel with potato salad. The schnitzel was good. For my taste, two mushroom slices are not enough in a mushroom sauce like this. The potato salad was also good.

Very good, classic Swabian food in a modern atmosphere. The food came quickly and was really tasty. Price-performance ratio is really great, especially given the good location in downtown Stuttgart. The open kitchen was really nice to watch. The service was very friendly and always present. My only criticism is the high volume in the restaurant.

Incredibly recommended and surprising. We claim to be familiar with good Swabian cuisine and the products are in no way inferior to a very good country inn. We had the large portion of schnitzel (pork) with spaetzle and sauce, a side salad for 2 (enough quantity and for only +4.50 euros), the large portion of kässpätzle (served in a pan, as a Swabian you would expect melted onions, but it was so good) and the dessert-sized Kaiserschmarrn in the pan (in my opinion, completely sufficient for a child, our daughter would have needed more apple sauce because she didn't want the cranberries). A Seezüngle Traube, a Teinacher apple spritzer and, with great joy, a freshly tapped beer. Very light in taste and very tasty. All the service staff were super nice, the atmosphere was really pleasant, the toilet was great and the food was really outstanding. And I think it's so great that there are Swabian dishes to-go. We will 100% come back on our next visit to Stuttgart.

Fast food restaurant that really lives up to this standard. Uncomplicated, very good snack and outrageously tasty. The service people are very friendly and cheerful. They also make no distinction between regular and occasional visitors. In any case, me and my dachshund like it there.

This restaurant in Stuttgart is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy AFFORDABLE local cuisine. It’s a self-serve spot where you order your meal yourself, which makes the process quick and simple. The food and drinks are both very cheap, yet the quality is solid—definitely worth the price. The place is clean and well-kept, with an open kitchen that lets you see the cooking process. It’s also conveniently located close to downtown, making it easy to reach. The staff speaks English, making it welcoming for international guests. However, we were sadly surprised by the schnitzel size - it’s very small compared to what you’d expect

So far ok, recommended for a small snack. The salad with chicken looks very big at first glance, but the plate is full of salad and there are chicken strips on top. A little cheese on top to finish it off. But delicious. The meat is very tender. For the price it could be a little more. Above all, there are only two slices of baguette. It would be nicer if there was one more slice and there was the option to get toasted baguette. Would be Crossiger. It's comfortable to sit outside, eat and people watch :-)

Absolutely unacceptable. I had to wait over two hours. Never again. First, it said delivery would be between 4:20 and 4:30 p.m., then at 4:30 p.m. it was switched to 5:30 p.m. The order was placed at 3:13 p.m....absolutely unacceptable.

The food and the ambience are good and pleasant... but it's been a long time since I've had such PERFECT service... Thank you very much and gladly again.

Test meal for 2x currywurst, both spicy, 1x with stone oven baguette, 1x with fries, with red/white. Was surprisingly tasty. The sausage was good, the fries were delicious, the 4 slices of the stone oven baguette were also good. 15 euros together, no drinks. Portions good, a bit more sausage could have been used, especially because it was so good. Level of spiciness - mildly spicy. We will go there again and try other things too.

This review refers to the lentils with spaetzle, which we ordered to take away. There's not much to complain about in terms of taste, but there is only the fact that the portion size has roughly halved since the last time, while the price has increased one and a half times. Please adjust again, the balanced mix of portion size, taste and price used to be your great strength...

The idea behind Tobi's is good, but the implementation is lacking. When it comes to Swabian cuisine, especially Maultaschen and Kässpätzle, you won't really be happy here. The taste was decent, but there was hardly any sauce on the plate. Worse still: the touted melting onions that were absolutely essential were not available. Instead, fried onions. - Disappointing.

Nice shop, with good food and friendly service. We ordered Black Forest Maultaschen (2 Maultaschen with Black Forest ham and cheese gratinated, with leaf salad) and Maultaschen in the broth. To drink an apple spritzer and a mango-passionfruit lemonade from 0.33 bottles. You can view the menu online. We were allowed to choose a table outside. The employees were very friendly, and it also had the impression that there was a good atmosphere among the employees. Food came quickly and was delicious. They're not huge portions, they were fine for me (female, 36 years old) and my daughter (10 years old). I thought it was a bit of a shame that there was “only” Kaiserschmarrn as dessert.

Affordable regional food in a central area with good service from the staff

We were in Stuttgart for 2 days and wanted to eat “Swabian-typical” food for one day. Now, visiting a brewery with a 5-year-old is not always that easy, and you spend a lot of money, but at the same time you have to constantly regulate. Tobi's was a very good alternative! Had cheese spaetzle, baked Maultaschen and a schnitzel variant there. We enjoyed it very much. What should be particularly mentioned: When I ordered the cheese spaetzle, I was asked whether a salad should be served with it. There wasn't a great reaction to my "no thanks, it's for a 5 year old". And yet the fried onions were served separately and there was even extra children's cutlery. And all this even though it wasn't a children's menu. Absolutely top class and not mentioned yet. For everyone, especially families, who want an informal but tasty (and preferably quick) lunch - definitely go here. It was really really great!

Today was not a good day to eat here. I remembered this restaurant as being much better. Lentils, spaetzle and sides. Lentils, good, spaetzle average, sides tasteless and inedible. Swabian plate, Maultaschen, dry and seemed reheated. Meatloaf, tasteless, potato salad probably from a bucket, potatoes, hard and salad cold. The sauce was not honestly made, but ready-made. The service responded excellently to our criticism. Highest praise for them! I remember that I used to eat very well here, hence our visit today. This restaurant advertises traditional, German and Swabian cuisine. Our meal today was definitely not a reference. I hope that this constructive criticism is taken seriously by the owners.
