Small, excellent restaurant. Superb food, good service, and great value for money. Reservations are recommended; walk-ins are possible, but it fills up quickly when the weather is nice.

After a relaxing walk through the vineyards, there's nothing better than stopping by Ewa and her husband's house and enjoying delicious, home-cooked Swabian food. ;-) The roast beef with roasted potatoes and plenty of delicious gravy is just as delicious as a schnitzel or Maultaschen (swabian ravioli)! And the best part is that you can even take home food in jars. Warm regards to Ewa and the Sieben-Linden team. :-)

Unfortunately, my sausage salad was disappointing 😞. It was like a kit. The cheese was simply placed on top, with the onion piled up next to it. Whole gherkins were placed next to it as decoration, and then just ONE dried slice of bread. The dressing was just vinegar water. There were no chives or other greens at all. It could definitely be better. The sausage itself was quite good, though. Maybe the other ingredients are better.

For a forest tavern, this restaurant delivers quite a treat. We were expecting only typical rustic Swabian dishes. Instead, there's a changing, seasonally inspired menu that, in addition to the usual deliciously prepared standards like schnitzel and roast beef, offers sophisticated highlights with fantastic, unusual flavor combinations. Add to that the very friendly service. All in all, highly recommended.

The food here is cooked with love and skill. We only recently discovered this restaurant. But we enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned for dinner that same day. The dishes are created and prepared with great creativity and love. Their flavors are in a league of their own, which is quite rare. We tried mostly vegetarian dishes and were very pleasantly surprised that every one was a hit. The restaurant is inconspicuously located amidst forests and vineyards. You have to place your order directly at the counter and pick it up there later. Due to poor internet reception, only cash payments are accepted. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It's a perfect place to relax and refuel under the trees outside after a long walk or bike ride. There's no dress code.

The company outing to the Waldschenke was a complete success with our colleagues. We ordered 35 dishes, and they all arrived in about 30 minutes, all at once, and they were even piping hot. The roast beef with spaetzle (cheese spaetzle) was an absolute highlight and incredibly delicious. Thanks to the wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere.

A wonderful beer garden high above the Neckar Valley between Rotenberg/Uhlbach and Esslingen. Seating under fruit trees. Interesting dishes, nothing run-of-the-mill. A nice wine selection. And a shop with homemade sauces, etc. Self-service. Be sure to stop, take a break, and plan your time :-)

When the weather was nice, we looked for an alternative to the already known excursion destinations. We weren't disappointed! Getting there by car is a bit adventurous, so maybe it's better to plan a walk. The beer garden is designed to be very cozy with tables and chairs under the trees that can be moved at any time. We weren't disappointed with the food either. Great honest cuisine with fresh ingredients, you could hear someone knocking the schnitzel every now and then. The dishes were also delicious and great value for money. Friendly service and card payment possible.

Great food, world class service! You could also give 10 stars here! Very child-friendly and uncomplicated, but still quick and attentive. Food also tastes delicious. The food menu is small but nice with a large selection of wines (unfortunately I can't rate the quality). The portions are generous and you'll feel full! The “Lesbos plate” is an absolute highlight! Insanely good! Location is okay but very well located. In summer it is almost besieged by cyclists and hikers. Unfortunately a bit outdated but well maintained and clean. Be sure to reserve well in advance for several people.

A sunny Sunday outside in spring-like surroundings and you feel like having a coffee break. With self-service we got 1 cappucino, 1 pot of coffee and 2 pieces of rhubarb cake. The large pieces of cake tasted excellent, but the coffee was nothing!

They serve simply the best regional food in town. The location is amazing too. One can take a nice walk through the vine hills to reach here. Their Maultaschen and Käse Spätzle are a must try!

Last Saturday, around 3 p.m. It's a nice place, and quite cozy outdoors too. It was very crowded. We only ate salad, the dressing was fresh but had no meaning. But what was really audacious: with 0.4l apple spritzer for around 4 euros, 3/4 of it was poured with sparkling water and a maximum of 2 fingers of apple juice. Could see it. Accordingly, it tasted - almost like nothing. My comment that there was almost nothing in it was ignored. Since everyone there was in a hectic state of stress, I left it at that.

Today my Maultsche was still mushy but the schnitzel was good

A great shop in a good location, great in summer to sit outside and enjoy the sun and view. There are very great and tasty dishes on the menu, I tried the others. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point because the meal took half an hour when there wasn't that much going on. Otherwise great and keep it up. Update. Unfortunately, the winter menu is no longer as tasty as the summer menu and had to deduct a few stars. Again also when it comes to service.

The Maultaschen were homemade, as was the broth. Everything tasted great and not too expensive. Thank you again for this beautiful place.

Vamos cada visita a Stuttgart. Ahora 5 veces durante 12 años. Ubicación acogedora en el interior y mesas de vista impresionantes en el exterior. Después de un paseo por el bosque o simplemente un paseo en coche para disfrutar de la vista, 7 Linden es un lugar perfecto para una comida clásica de Suabia abundante. Los precios son razonables, las porciones clásicas de Swabian (grande) y el sabor es spot on. Buen spatzle, así como opciones para todos los vegetarianos y consumidores de carne también.

Beautifully located Waldschenke with a beer garden and very good Swabian cuisine. Charming and originally furnished restaurant. I always enjoy coming here. The Kaiserschmarren is on the menu, but it's usually not available, it's super tasty😋 Addendum from May 2024: The boss was very moody and the schnitzel with fries were carelessly prepared. The portion was very small and the price was high🤷‍♂️. It's a shame, I actually like coming here.

Excellent onion roast, delicious beer and everything in the countryside. Beer benches or directly on the meadows, very pleasant on the edge of the forest. Every now and then a few llamas and alpacas come by and take a rest. Therefore always a great stopover on a forest hike. Addendum: Tried Cordon Bleu today, it was OK, but nothing more. Like something out of a standard cookbook and unfortunately not baked in clarified butter. The radish in the salad was heavily soaked in garlic seasoning. It's a shame there's no more mountain beer

My favorite place in Stuttgart! I came from the USA to see my family, we always love to come here. The owners are like family. The food is amazing, like you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant.

Es gibt keine bessere Küche in einer Waldschenke als in den 7 Linden hoch über Uhlbach. Das Wirtspaar lebt und liebt seine Rolle als Gastgeber mit einer hochqualitativen Speisekarte und einem tollen Sortiment zum Mitnehmen. Ich bin immer sehr begeistert und meine Begleiter ebenso.

We like to stop here after a hike. The food is always a pleasure, the chef regularly adds variety to the menu, and we even think of us vegetarians. The service is friendly, even at peak times, and the atmosphere is rustic and cozy. Clear recommendation!

Easy 5 for what it is. Just "behind" the Kappel and Rotenberg a lovely treat to grab some food and a drink with a view. The "zucchini taler" are extra delicious and juicy. The Cordon Bleu and salad been on point too. Super friendly suff too. Might take a lil while till the food appears but you can chill relaxed in the meanwhile :)

Well, luckily the fried potatoes ran out late in the evening, just before the kitchen closed. So I decided against schnitzel with fried potatoes and opted for the breaded oyster mushrooms with savoy cabbage and risotto. A poem! Not only are the classics always good, the vegetarian dishes in particular always surprise me in a really positive way. Today was wonderful again, honestly!

It was really nice today. However, I recommend that you reserve a seat before you come, as it is often very full. The food also tasted great and the staff was friendly too. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
