Der Foehrich in Stuttgart

My cordon bleu was flat, hard, and dry; there was more breading than meat, and the so-called "Alpine cheese" tasted of absolutely nothing. The fries that came with it were oversalted. And a 0.5-liter bottle of Teinacher costs €5.40, which is more than €10 per liter for water! Credit card payments are not accepted.

I used to give it 4 stars, but now it's down to 1. You get kicked out before 9:30 in the evening with a tone that's almost reminiscent of a cafeteria. I know people who've been kicked out as early as 9:00 in the evening. I no longer see any reason why this place has any value.

It's a comfortable place to sit. The service is very good and the varied menu is impressive. There is ample parking available on site.

Honestly didn’t expect much from a little place in Bad Boll, but this spot surprised me in the best way. It’s like walking into your cool uncle’s backyard – casual, welcoming, and the schnitzel was so big it made me question my life choices. Beer was cold, staff had that friendly small-town vibe, and everyone seemed to know each other. Left feeling full, happy, and slightly jealous of people who live close enough to make this their regular hangout.

Amazing Swabian cuisine with abundant portions. Cozy and peaceful environment to hangout with colleagues and friends for dinner party. I had Swabian cheese spaetzle and alcohol-free weizen bier, thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff were helpful in arranging the tables together as we wanted 35 people to be seated together.

The food was delicious, but given the price I would have expected more than two small pork medallions that were a maximum of 1.5 cm thick. Unfortunately, the chef was not willing to talk to us days later. It's a shame, we won't eat here anymore.

Leider sind die Portionen mittlerweile trotz stolzer Preise deutlich zu klein! Das Verhalten des Obers grenzt an Unverschämtheit und „der Scheffe“ stellt sich berechtigter Kritik weder im Lokal noch wenn man ihn direkt anschreibt. Schade war mal gut hier, jetzt bleibt einfach ein schaler Geschmack!! Aber es gibt noch genügend andere Lokale die treue Gäste schätzen.

I was particularly impressed by the burger - perfectly seasoned, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant. Thank you for this great culinary experience!

The best pork schnitzels are served here - juicy, hot and with a crispy breading

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. The roast with fried potatoes for 28.90 euros may have been tasty, but the portions were ridiculously small - just a handful of fried potatoes, which hardly deserve to be called a side dish. When I politely asked if the fried potatoes could be topped up a bit, I was told that this was possible, but I would have to pay extra for it. At these prices I find that absolutely unreasonable. In addition, I had to find out that you have to pay 3.50 euros for each additional sauce if it isn't included with the dish anyway. A mixed salad or side salad is also not included, which further reduces the value for money. The food was tasty, but for the price I expect a reasonable portion, more generosity and customer friendliness. So only a bitter aftertaste remains. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

It wasn't our first visit to Föhrich today. If you like traditional German cuisine, you can't go wrong here. Anyone who likes to eat meat will get their money's worth. It's a shame that the selection of vegetarian dishes is very limited. The ambience varies quite a bit. In summer the beer garden is quite nice. In winter it is unbearably hot when the restaurant is full. Disturbing smells from the kitchen sometimes penetrate into the guest room. Update 01/2025: Unfortunately, Föhrich has not developed well. The food is no longer really convincing, and at the same time the prices seem excessive for what you get. Too bad.

It used to be a nicer place. Food a bit strange selection, also too expensive. There used to be small portions, but today if you want to eat something for two you pay extra euros for the plates and cutlery. So I'm not a fan.

Christmas dinner was amazing. The sequence of dishes could be optimized... Salads came differently, as did the main courses afterwards. But simply delicious, the dressing, the potato salad, the meat, fried potatoes, spaetzle and the sauce, brilliant. It was a shame that the side dish wasn't available for all dishes that day. In one case, fries (which were included with other dishes) would be desired instead of spaetzle. And in another case, an adult wasn't allowed a small portion/children's meal, even though there was no "adult" size of it. Nevertheless, the quality of the food was absolutely convincing.

Were there today for the Christmas party with our handball department. Around 100 great tasting meals were handed out to everyone almost at the same time. Even if I eat there privately, I can only report positive things. It's definitely worth a visit and you won't regret it

We were back at Föhrich after about 4 years - we were actually really happy because the food and especially the cordon bleu were always incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, we now had to conclude that the food disappointed us. The meat wasn't like it was years ago - no hearty mountain cheese with oomph... rather boring and yes, normal. The potato salad simply didn't taste like anything - not even like potato. The gravy was more meh than wow. The Spezi was also non-carbonated and more like lacquer. The salad dressing was very tasty, as was the consistency of the spaetzle. All in all, it's a shame. We immediately looked online to see whether the chef had changed or the tenant was different - but everything seemed to be the same - except for the food. It's a shame :-( ! Don't think we'll come back again. The prices have risen enormously and unfortunately the taste hasn't kept up. I would also like to point out that I find it extremely uncomfortable when the radio plays while I eat - it was SO annoying. In itself a nice atmosphere but it was an absolute horror to eat. Music yes - radio (loud) no.

However, the sauce is very worthy of a Swabian :) Oh yes, fried eggs with meatloaf are now only available upon special order!

We were there for the first time today and just had a drink. The first waiter was very friendly and helpful. The waitress who followed ignored us for half an hour, even though we called out to her twice, and placed the empty glasses on the edge of the table. Really sickening because there wasn't much going on. We would have loved to drink something more. That's really a pity

sehr schönes, gemütliches Ambiente - leider konnten wir wegen Wetter den Biergarten nicht nutzen, aber das hat dem positiven Eindruck keinen Abbruch getan. Freundliches aufmerksames Personal, Sehr gute, vielfältige und authentisch "schwäbische" Auswahl beim Essen in Top-Qualität und super gut geschmeckt, interessante "nicht nur Mainstream"-Auswahl bei den Getränken (selbst gemachte Limonade, ..) -- wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Defintiv eine Empfehlung !

We were there on June 22nd. after the confirmation with 20 people here. Large covered beer garden and outdoor area with a guest room and space for private groups. Ordered quickly, always cold drinks, good service, not too intrusive, then even second and third service came. Professionals in the kitchen, almost all food on the table at the same time. Good schnitzel, spaetzle, salad, corn chicken etc. Good bourgeois. Mixed audience mainly young families. My absolute highlight is the steamed dumplings with vanilla sauce. Highly recommended for family celebrations, birthdays or going out for a good meal.
