A friend recommended this place to us for a great meal. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and my partner the venison goulash. Both came with a generous, delicious salad as a side dish. I also ordered fried potatoes, but they weren't warm when they were served and were rather dry. I then spoke to a waitress and returned them. They didn't charge me for the price. To finish, we had a piece of fresh house plaited bread. Overall, we still thought it was a very good restaurant. One more thing: card payments are only accepted for a certain amount.

Top shop for Stuttgart city center. Great portions and prices.

Very nice atmosphere, great service, fair prices, but unfortunately, the food hasn't been good for some time. We won't be going there again until further notice and can't recommend it at the moment. It's a real shame, as it's a lovely restaurant in one of Stuttgart's most attractive districts.

This is my third time here, and I have to say: This is what home tastes like! The Maultaschen remind me of what my mother used to make. A quarter of a Trollinger wine goes perfectly with it. The service is friendly and unobtrusive, just as you'd expect. I'll definitely be back.

After a few years, we returned, and as always, it was spectacular. The staff was very professional, and the waitress was especially friendly. In addition to tasting some of the best home-cooked German food, we were very comfortable. 100% recommended. We will definitely return.

Encontramos esto por casualidad situado en una hermosa Plaza. Nos sentamos afuera afortunadamente bajo un paraguas cuando IT empezó a llover. La anfitriona era encantadora y hablaba un excelente Inglés. Tuve un fantástico Goulash de Venado y mi marido tuvo un plato de cerdo. Ambos estaban llenos y sabrosos. Cuando terminamos nos dio bocados de pastel y mermelada de cortesía. El servicio era bueno y el ambiente agradable.

Cappuccino doesn’t have coffee inside. It s just hot milk with foam. And the goulash doesn’t have any vegetables and it s extremely salty. I asked 4 times for a water glass, and they never bring it to me.

In addition to the dishes on the menu, there are daily specials and seasonal specials. The food, quality, ambiance, and service: everything is perfect here. The dining room is rustic and cozy. In summer, you can also sit outside, overlooking the Hans-Im-Glück fountain. I love coming here and can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Nice wine bar in a central location. We had delicious food and received extremely friendly service. Reservations are recommended in the evenings. One star deducted for the fact that card payments are only accepted for amounts over 100 euros. That's not up to date these days.

The lady is very nice and patient to explain the seasonal cuisine to me. The fresh beer is very tasty. For steak , I order rare cock but turn out medium well done. For side dishes, it was fresh and perfectly match with beef. Will order pork next time

It's surprising, but even during the week, many restaurants in Stuttgart are completely full. Here, we just barely managed to snag a free table, and it was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. However, card payments are only accepted for amounts over €100. This is generally unacceptable, especially for a big city like Stuttgart. As a tourist, if I'm happy to have gotten a table, it's unreasonable to give it up again to find a bank in a new city where I first have to withdraw cash.

The lunch menu is highly recommended, with an extensive one. The service was very attentive, friendly, pleasant, and thoughtful. We were served promptly, and it didn't take long for our drinks and food to arrive. Lunch also included a salad. I highly recommend it and would gladly return! I was simply very satisfied!

I ordered a salad with smoked salmon, which was not bad in taste but still very disappointing. Apart from the few strips of salmon, it was unfortunately just a simple leaf salad, without a slice of cucumber, tomato, radish or anything else. Not even cress or a few seeds for decoration. The mixed side salad almost made more sense. Unfortunately 0 is justified for the price

We called the shop to make a reservation at 21:30 and were told that the kitchen had already closed while on google it says it closes at 00:00.

We were there with a larger group and overall we would describe the wine bar as average. The food was generally as expected, no outliers upwards, but none downwards either. The service was also OK. Overall, I would give the local 3 stars (= average), but we were all very surprised when we found out in the end that card payments are only accepted from €100 onwards. Both with credit card and debit card... This is extremely backwards at a time when many locals no longer accept cash payments at all. Especially at this altitude! Accordingly, my rating slips from 3 stars to 2 stars (= below average, but not bad). Too bad!

We actually just wanted something to drink and told the waitress that, and she clearly said just take a seat. A few minutes later another waiter came and asked whether our colleague had informed us that card payments were only possible for orders over 100 euros .. We just wanted to drink a beer... Oh please... Then there has to be a notice somewhere at the entrance or in the menu... That's not possible .. I understand that you don't have to accept a few euros with a card... But unfortunately anything over 100 euros is not up to date... then we just left without consuming anything...

We went there for lunch and instantly fell in love with this cozy local spot — thanks to the super friendly staff who turned out to be big fans of Turkish TV shows! The hearty Swabian dishes were absolutely delicious and seriously generous. To give you an idea of the portion sizes: I actually got tired while eating!

We were guests on April 12, 2025 and had a wheelchair companion with us, so we had to move a table. Was. no problem service top food top 👍 will be back 👍

The roast was great! Strong sauce, nice roasted onions as a topping and juicy meat. The farmer's bread rounded the whole thing off wonderfully. The waitresses were all funny and totally friendly. We'll be back!

The welcome was great. There was a very sweet lady who showed us to our table and made our evening beautiful. It was very helpful in decision making. He said the schnitzel was "the best in town" but I think it was the best in town😎 Thank you for allowing us to enjoy dinner in this traditional setting.

Nettes Personal. Das Metzgergulasch war sehr lecker. Leider war das Schnitzel nicht so gut und hat nur nach dem Fett geschmeckt, in dem es gebraten wurde. Mit der Sauce war es jedoch in Ordnung und man konnte es essen. Die Spätzle waren ok, leider auch nicht mehr, da sie sehr fade waren. Das Dessert Ofenschlupfer hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt.

The shop seems inconspicuous from the outside but the service is a 10/10 very nice and it seems like you've known each other for a long time. The food was INCREDIBLE, I've never eaten anything like it, the onion roast is the best thing I've ever eaten. Just like the tuna. It is cozy and can only be recommended.

The best meal in a long time The restaurant seems unremarkable at first but it is incredible. We were warmly welcomed in the restaurant and shown to our table. The benches are very comfortable and you can have a good chat. When we ordered our food we only had to wait a short time and our food was ready. I had the onion steak. It was incredibly tasty. With every bite I experienced a new taste explosion. The sauce wasn't too dominant and perfectly rounded off the taste of the meat. The bread was incredibly soft and soaked with the juices of the meat. Every component of the dish harmonized perfectly with each other and the waiters asked us if we liked it, which I found very nice. The food was great, the service was very friendly! What made us angry was the fact that you suddenly can no longer pay by card. I knew it differently from previous visits. Especially since there is a debit card machine very prominently at the checkout. When asked, the head waitress said that you could still pay by card in extreme cases, but that they tried to avoid that. If you take a new approach for cost reasons, that's ok. But you can also briefly mention this at the beginning.

The service is on point, the food and drinks are typically good👍, the surroundings and furnishings are generally good, middle-class..... All in all, rating Highly recommended......... PS.: Weinstube Kachelofen is also very busy during the week👍, please be patient🤝💪👍🤘😁🙋‍♂️
