Wir haben am Samstagabend draußen gesessen. Der Service war an der Leistungsgrenze. Teils wurden Getränke vergessen oder falsch gebracht. Wir haben 5x Zwiebelrostbraten + 1x Kartoffelsalat + 1x Spätzle mit Soße bestellt. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war OK. Der Kartoffelsalat war eher ein Batzen Kartoffelbrei, zu trocken.

Sehr gute schwäbische Küche in netter Atmosphäre. Freundliche Bedienung und angemessene Preise. Sehr gerne wieder.

Cibo tipico, abbondante e buono; purtroppo accettano solo contanti perciò può creare un po’ di disagio. Se anche vedete sui tavoli i cartellini “riservato” non fatevi intimidire e chiedete ai camerieri se hanno disponibilità perché sicuramente ce l’hanno, abbiamo dedotto che sia una “tattica” del luogo.

A restaurant as quaint as its name. You can't beat the hospitality. Time has stopped here. The quality of the traditional Swabian dishes was so good back then at Grandma's, any special requests were happy to be accommodated. We feel completely comfortable!

We show up with two children and the waitresses ignore us for several minutes. The place is fairly full, let's be patient. There are four of us and we are offered a table for two, we accept. There are only two chairs at the table, there are four of us and a waitress leaves us two menus. Then they disappear. No additional chairs, no commands. We look for the waitresses but they avoid our gaze. Us standing among several seated people and them looking down, treating us as if we were invisible. The message was conveyed clearly and in the worst possible way: this restaurant does not want families. But instead of saying it politely immediately, without wasting people's time and treating customers with due respect, they preferred to get the message across in the rudest way possible. To escape!

The wine bar lives up to its name: a huge tiled stove in the middle of the room, great ambience. Food and service are highly rated. BUT - please bring cash, card payment doesn't work! Kind regards to Rita, queen of good humor, who helped us (me) out of trouble!

Yesterday we were in the tiled stove for the second time and it was super tasty. The side salad is awesome, various fresh salads, no ready-made dressing. I can highly recommend Maultaschen and roast pork, the prices are very pleasant, so the price/performance ratio is right...we will come back when we are in Stuttgart again😊

Super friendly service, great traditional food. Delicious beer and wine and all in a rustic atmosphere. We hadn't reserved a table and were still accommodated flexibly. We would be happy to come back the next time we visit Stuttgart. Mini tapping - card payment is not possible. That's not so nice in 2024. But whatever, the rest absolutely nailed it.

The tiled stove is great! But: We all didn't think the brunch on the weekend was that good in terms of composition and presentation. BR should stand for BReakfast and UNCH for Lunch. Breakfast wasn't included, lunch was good if you like kettle meat and boiled ox meat. Maultaschen and potato salad, as always, world class. Desserts/sweets not included. Cold dog, ordered from the menu (childhood memory!) has nothing to do with what you know other than the name. Wasted money. We will always come back, but not for brunch. . .

I loved it! I can without a doubt recommend it and I am looking forward visiting again when I will travel to Stuttgart. Where to start from? Loved the cosy interior. It is ideal for winter time and it is also romantic with the lights and the candles. Although it is really crowded with many tables the service is amazing and fast. As for the food delicious, big portions and value for money! Reservations are recommended and bring cash with you because credit cards are not accepted :(

Everything was great except for the drama with the card payment, which is possible but the boss doesn't want to. Depending on the service, you can pay by card. This in 2024. This is how you scare away regular guests

Good solid and tasty food. Friendly and attentive service. Good central location. The only suboptimal points are that only cash payment is possible and that you cannot make changes to the orders. It wasn't even possible to leave out bread (so that it didn't have to be thrown away) even if it was ok for the guests not to get a price reduction.

One of the best German restaurants I have visited in Stuttgart so far. A traditional flair is immediately conveyed, be it through the layout of the rooms or the food on offer. For the dish I chose the Wiener Schnitzel. This is served with a side salad. I also ordered a potato salad as a side dish. The schnitzel was very tasty and the two salads were also excellent. All in all, it was a nice experience visiting this restaurant and it certainly wasn't the last visit. Really only recommended!

Very nice location with Swabian specialties. The waitresses were extremely friendly and fulfilled special requests without any problem. Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, you didn't have to wait long for your food. All in all, a worthwhile visit. I and we will happily go there again.

I was there on Saturday for brunch, you can eat as much as you want (or can) for a very fair price. The typical Swabian buffet leaves nothing to be desired with Maultaschen and Spätze and many other specialties. The spaetzle and Maultaschen are very good, you hardly want to stop eating. The service is quick and friendly, no wish remains unfulfilled. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Clear recommendation.

Food was okay and very tasty but the three cockroaches in the Jägermeister totally surprised me. A pity

Simple food, well crafted. Not everything on the menu is in stock. The service is fast, friendly and accommodating. Everything is a bit too cramped and rustically furnished.

Cockroach-We had dinner yesterday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. Food was okay. Help was okay too. But in the end I wanted to drink a Jägermeister and there were three cockroaches in Jägermeister. Terrible, I couldn't sleep all night. Woman with black hair demanded that I pay in cash. Allegedly. You don't have any EC appointments.

Stumbled upon this place on a brief stop in Stuttgart and it was fantastic. Traditional German food that felt like homecooked meals. I'd go back to Stuttgart just for this restaurant!

Went there at lunchtime today. We received a very friendly welcome and the food was really excellent. The side salad was very well prepared and the potato salad was also homemade. The onion roast with spaetzle was perfect and to the point. If I ever find myself in Stuttgart again, I would be happy to come back there.

Price performance is right, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere

The restaurant is full to capacity. The ambience is great, cozy tavern atmosphere, rough wooden tables and lace tablecloths - just as you wish. The service was super nice, everyone was very friendly, attentive and warm! Unfortunately, the food wasn't entirely convincing. It tasted quite bland, the meat (roast) was well fried and tender, but it had hardly any taste. The fried potatoes had a bitter aftertaste - maybe from the oil? The sauce also lacked a spicy, full-bodied taste. It came across as a bit sour. So unfortunately there are negative points in terms of taste for some points. The delicious side salad is to be praised and the Wiener Schnitzel is recommended. Since the prices were quite high (€32 for the roast with a generous side dish), the quality wasn't quite right for me. Still a nice and cozy place for a German dinner in the city center.

NOTE: Cash only Didn’t manage to eat here because cash only. Came early and was seated to a table but was told cash only immediately. Why cash only in 2024 is beyond me. Tried to look for a bank as we are foreigners but could not find one in 10 mins and we gave up looking for one. Decided to dine elsewhere.

Typical traditional restaurant with similar dishes. It was busy but the service was still very efficient and friendly. Food was good, as you would expect Swabian cuisine. There are compromises because we should have been placed in the unpopular spot right next to the door, even though there were plenty of other free spots. But we were then offered another place without any problem. Also compromises for placing the napkin on the full plate and not next to it. There should be that much time. It's also a shame that you can't pay by card, that's certainly no longer appropriate in a city like Stuttgart. But still a good tip for people who are in the mood for Swabian cuisine.

Perfect location for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Swabian food in a relaxed atmosphere. I particularly liked the attentive service and the quick service. No expensive bells and whistles, but focus on guest satisfaction.

Me and my son had lunch here today. Typical swabian restaurant. The meatball was very salty and spicy, patato salad was nice as side dish. Roasted pork was too salty. Could not eat it😞 side salad was fresh and nice. Together with Big bottle of water, total cost is 36 euro. Didn’t worth it.

Schwäbisch uriges Ambiente, Personal ist auf Zack. das Preisniveau der Speisen für Stuttgarter Verhältnisse fair und geschmacklich empfehlenswert. Es gibt saisonale Extras auf Empfehlung des Personals. Was nervt: es geht (auch wenn es angeblich Kartenzahlung gibt) nur Barzahlung. Die Kartenzahlung hat entweder nur funktioniert oder die ist ein Gerücht. Das ist ein Manko, was für mich gravierend ist.

Uriges Ambiente, leckere traditionelle Küche und sehr freundlicher Service. Es war viel los, wer gerne unter Menschen ist wird sich hier wohlfühlen. Reservierung wird empfohlen.

Super! Typisch schwäbisches essen, hier kommt man definitiv auf seine Kosten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und konnte die Sonderkarte gut vorstellen, sodass wir natürlich die Gerichte hier gewählt haben. Im Restaurant selber wird man in die Zeit zurück versetzt. Auf eine sehr nette Art allerdings. Es ist Recht voll, eine Reservierung vorher lohnt sich, denn spontan abends noch einen Tisch zu bekommen erscheint mir eher unwahrscheinlich.

Gemütliche Weinstuben Atmosphäre mit herzlichem Service ein tollen Chefin die es versteht auf die Bedürfnisse Ihrer Gäste perfekt zu reagieren. Trotz vollem Restaurant kamen unsere Gerichte zügig an den Tisch und alles schmeckte sehr gut. Das Hirchgulasch, super zart, und der Ofenschlupfer zum Dessert waren klasse. Absolut gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei guten Portionsgrößen. Wenn beim nächsten Besuch noch die Teller warm sind, dann gibt's auch noch den 5. Stern. 👍😉

Wir waren hier an einem Samstag ( ab 17 Uhr) Abend zu einem 70 Geburtstag eingeladen.🎁🎁💝 Das ganze fand in einem Nebenzimmer statt 🍴 der Service war sehr gut und freundlich 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 das Essen kam nach der Bestellung für alle zeitnah 🍽️🥘 Käsespätzle : sehr gut 🧀 Schweinebraten mit Semmelknödel 🍗: sehr gut und sehr viel Nachtisch war auch sehr lecker 🍦🍧🍨 die Weinstube war mehr als gut besucht.Viele standen vor der Türe oder im Windfang oder auch im Lokal und warteten auf einen Platz. Manche über 30 min 🕐🕑🕒 man sollte definitiv einen Platz reservieren 😉😉 Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit leckerem Essen und super Service. klare Weiterempfehlung 👍

Ich finde diese Wirtschaft großartig, denn sie ist rustikal eingerichtet, das Essen schmeckt hervorragend und der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend.

Das Essen war super, gab sogar Nachschlag beim Hirschgulasch. Sehr positiv ist die Bedienung aufgefallen, freundlich und vor allem sehr kompetent. Insgesamt super Erlebnis, nur leider bisschen laut in dem Laden.

Ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Lokal für ein feines Schwäbisches Essen. Das Lokal war bei unserem Besuch unter der Woche wohlverstanden, bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht. Daher war die Bedienung im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes am Anschlag. Der Lärmpegel war am Limit um noch von einem gemütlichen Abend zu sprechen. Wir waren zufrieden und können einen Besuch wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir hatten unser Abteilungsgs-Weihnachtsessen hier. Alles Profi's aus der Gastronomie. Leider haben wir alle ziemlich schlecht gegessen. Zum Wiener Schnitzel gehört eine Wiener Garnitur und keine Kräuterbutter! Ich hatte geschmacklos, trockenes Spanferkel mit Sauerkraut aus der Dose nur kurz erhitzt ohne irgendwelche Gewürze. Ich hoffe, dass wir einfach nur einen schlechten Abend erwischt haben, anders kann ich mir die guten Bewertungen nicht erklären

Had to try the cheese noodles which are a specialty food of Stuttgart, was underwhelming but the salad that came with it was sehr gut.

Waren spät abends hier. Sind durch Zufall in dieses Restaurant. Die Küche hatte leider schon zu, aber es gab noch Getränke. Preislich in Ordnung. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Ambiente ist schon eigen. Urig würden wohl viele sagen, in die Jahre gekommen andere. Was aber echt übel war, war der Gestank. Es roch auf der Toilette besser als im Restaurant. Keine Ahnung ob das aus der Lüftung oder der Küche kam, aber es war unangenehm.
